Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of obtaining the optimal dose of humic acid (HA) and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from seaweed extract that can enhance the growth and total flavonoid content of Brassica juncea L. The method used in this study was experimental with a randomized complete block design with two factors. The first factor was HA, consisting of 4 dose levels: 0, 4, 8, and 12 g/kg, while the second factor was LOF from seaweed extract, consisting of 4 dose levels: 0, 1, 2, and 3 mL/L. Each treatment was replicated four times. Parameters were observed on the 42nd day, including plant height, leaf number, leaf area, dry weight, and total flavonoids. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test with a confidence level of 95%. The results showed that the dose of 4 g/kg HA and 2 mL/L LOF was the best dose for enhancing growth and total flavonoid content, producing an average plant height of 19.25 cm, a leaf number of 5.75, a total leaf area of 179.8 cm2, a dry weight of 0.57 grams, and a total flavonoid content of 0.106 mg QE/g sample.

Abstract

Straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) is a horticultural product and one of the many tropical and subtropical mushroom species known and in demand by the people of Indonesia. Currently the growth of straw mushroom is still low, this is because the quality seeds are not sufficient and the price is relatively expensive. Quality seeds are not only determined from superior mushroom broodstock, but also determined by the quality of the pure culture, the production of pure culture is constrained by the type of material for making in vitro media. The purpose of this study was to obtain the type of in vitro media that gave the highest growth response and features of the F3 mycelial isolate FP007 mushroom Faperta Unsika. The research method used was by using a single factor Complete Randomized Design (CRD), there were 5 replications and 7 treatments consisting of: 100% PDA (A), 100% Charcoal Husk (B), 100% Husk (C), 80 PDA % + Husk 20% (D), PDA 80% + Charcoal Husk 20% (E), PDA 60% + Husk 20% + Charcoal Husk 20% (F), and Husk 50% + Charcoal Husk 50%. The results of this study showed that 80% PDA media + 20% rice husk charcoal had the highest effect on the growth response and characteristics of the F3 mycelia isolate FP007 straw mushroom Faperta Unsika with a mushroom mycelia growth diameter of 7 cm. Rice husk charcoal media can be used as a good additive for the manufacture of growing media in vitro. Keywords : Charcoal husk, rice husk, pure culture, straw mushroom.

Abstract

Straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) is a type of edible mushroom that is quite popular in society.  Besides its delicious taste and good texture, paddy straw mushroom has rich nutritional content and various benefits for both health and food industry. The paddy straw mushroom production can be increased by using appropriate stocking seeds. This study aimed to obtain Faperta Unsika isolates with the highest mycelium growth on PDA media and baglog (paddy straw). The research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa Karawang University. The research method used is Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five replications. There are seven treatments, namely: A (F3 FP Natural-White), B (F3 FP Semi-White), C (FP038), D (FP039), E (FP040), F (FP041), G (FP043). The effect of treatment is analyzed with analysis of variance and if the F test at the 5% level showed a significant result, then to find out the best treatment, analysis continued with DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the 5% level. Treatment D (FP039) gave the highest mycelium colony diameter on PDA media with the average of mycelium colony diameter on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd day after inoculation was 1,18 cm, 4, 75 cm, and 6,93 cm. Treatment E (FP040) and F (FP041) gave the highest mycelium length on baglog media with the highest mycelium was 9,00 cm and 9,20 cm. Keywords: isolate faperta unsika, straw mushroom, mycelium

Abstract

Straw mushroom is one of the horticultural commodities which in its development is still relatively new. Straw mushroom is one of the agricultural commodities that has a good future opportunity to be developed. The cultivation of straw mushrooms in Karawang has obstacles in obtaining superior seeds. Superior seedlings of straw mushrooms are seedlings that have mycelium that expands quickly and strongly and are free from bacterial contamination. This research was conducted at the Plant Breeding and Biotechnology Laboratory of Singaperbangsa University of Karawang, located on Jalan. HS Ronggowaluyo Telukjambe Timur, Karawang from December 2022 to February 2023. This study aims to obtain the best isolate number of straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) Faperta Unsika on mycelium growth. The research method used was a single factor completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 7 treatments A (FP White Elders), B (FP Semi Elders), C (FP022), D (FP028), E (FP029), F (FP030), G (FP031) and repeated 5 times. The effect on the treatment was analyzed by analysis of variance and if the F test at the 5% level was significant, then DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) was conducted. The results showed that there was a significant effect of some isolates of straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) Faperta Unsika on G2 PDA and G3 Baglog in Vitro on mycelium growth. Treatment D (FP028) gave the highest diameter result on mycelium growth on G2 PDA of 6.41 cm and the highest mycelium growth rate on G2 PDA of 1.76 cm/day. Treatment F (FP030) gave the highest length of mycelium growth of G3 baglog of 12.31 cm and the highest rate of mycelium growth of G3 baglog of 0.96 cm/day. Keywords: Straw mushroom, Faperta Unsika isolate, Mycelium

Abstract

Superior seeds are one of the factors in determining the success of straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) cultivation. Pure culture of straw mushroom can be obtained through several stages, including pure culture culture or F0, then from F0 it is sub-cultured into F1, F2, F3 and F4 seeds. The purpose of this study was to obtain one of the isolate numbers for the candidate seedling F3 which gave the best growth using rice straw media. The research was conducted in a farmer's mushroom house located in the village of Pasirmulya, Majalaya, Karawang Regency. The research will be carried out for approximately 2 months from December to January 2023. The research method used is a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 repetitions. There were 7 repetitions, namely A (F3 FP White), B (F3 FP Semi), F3 Clones 11, F3 Clones 12, F3 Clones 13, F3 Clones 14 and F3 Clones 15. The effect of treatment was analyzed using analysis of variance and if the F test was significant at 5% level, then to find out which treatment gave the best results it was continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at 5% level. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the growth of several numbers of candidate isolates for spreading F3 mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) Faperta Unsika on the use of rice straw media. Treatment E (Clone 13) gave the highest total weight of one kumbung of 1828.80 g, when converted the yield in one kumbung became 63.80 kg, the average fruit weight per plot was 135.732 g and the average harvest intensity of one growing season during 14,400 days. Key Words:Isolate F3 Faperta Unsika,Straw,Straw Mushroom, Clone 13

Abstract

Mushroom is one type of mushroom that is quite widely known by the people of Indonesia. This straw mushroom is included in the agricultural commodity of horticultural crops where the economic value is quite high. The current problems of mushroom cultivation are straw mushroom seeds, straw mushroom growing media, and rice straw harvesting techniques. The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics of the mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) on straw media with different harvesting methods (gebot, combine¸ and trasher). The research was conducted in a farmer's straw mushroom house located in Pasir Buah Hamlet, Pasirmulya Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency. In November-December 2022. The research method used was a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 replications. There are 12 treatments, namely A (Gebot 100%), B (Combine 100%), C (Trasher 100%), D (Gebot 50% + Combine 50%), E (Gebot 50% + Trasher 50%), F (Combine 50% + Trasher 50%), G (Gebot 75% + Combine 25%), H (Gebot 75% + Trasher 25%), I (Combine 75% + Trasher 25%), J (Gebot 25% + Trasher 75%) K (Combine 75% + Trasher 25%), L (Trasher 75% + Combine 25%). The effect of treatment was analyzed by analysis of variance and if the F test at 5% level was significant, then to find out which treatment was the best, it was continued with the DMRT follow-up test (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the level of 5%. There was a significant effect on the number of fruit bodies, body weight per fruit tray, and fruit body weight from the productivity test of G3 FP005 mushroom seeds with media combine 75% + trasher 25% can be used as a reference material for the growth of straw mushroom, because it has better results than other treatments for the growth and development of straw mushroom. Keywords:G3 Faperta Isolate, Straw Mushroom, Straw Harvesting Method

Abstract

The success of cultivating straw mushrooms depends on the quality of the mushroom spawn. In addition to genetic factors, the nutrients present in the growth medium also influence the growth of straw mushroom spawn. The study was conducted in the Biotechnology and Plant Breeding Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa Karawang University, located in Karawang Regency, from June 2023 to July 2023. The research method used was experimental with a Randomized Block Factorial Design. There were 2 factors consisting of 21 treatments. The first factor was in vitro culture media, consisting of 3 levels, namely, m1 (PDA 100%), m2 (ACBM 100%), and m3 (PDA 50% + ACBM 50%). The second factor was the straw mushroom isolates from Faperta Unsika, consisting of 7 levels, namely, i1 (Parent P), i2 (Parent S), i3 (FP0025), i4 (FP0026), i5 (FP0027), i6 (FP0034), and i7 (FP0047). Each treatment was replicated 3 times, resulting in 63 experimental units. The treatment effects were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if the F-test was significant, the best treatment was determined using DMRT at the 5% significance level. The results showed an interaction between the three different in vitro media and several isolates of F3 straw mushrooms (Volvariella volvaceae) from Faperta Unsika on mycelial colony diameter and mycelial growth rate. Treatment with the straw mushroom isolate (Volvariella volvaceae) Faperta Unsika FP034 on the medium (PDA 50% + ACBM 50%) resulted in the highest mycelial growth with a colony diameter of 8 cm and a mycelial growth rate of 2.22 cm/day on day 1 to day 2. Keywords: mycelia, isolate faperta unsika, straw mushroom, media nutrision, red rice wash water media

Abstract

Mushrooms are a food ingredient that is liked by the people of Indonesia and have a fairly high variety of species. Currently mushroom production in Indonesia is still experiencing unstable or fluctuating changes. The success of mushroom cultivation apart from proper cultivation techniques, straw mushroom requires a growing medium that can support its growth and production properly. This study aims to obtain culture media material that gives the best results for the growth of seedlings of F4 isolate FP007 straw mushroom (Volvariella Volvaceae). This experiment was conducted at a mushroom house owned by a farmer located in Pasirmulya Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency, carried out from March to May 2023. The research method used was an experimental method with a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 replications. There were 7 treatments, namely A (100% Straw), B (80% Straw + 20% Rice Husk), C (50% Straw + 50% Cotton), D (30% Straw + 20% Rice Husk + 50% Wood Powder ), E (25% straw + 75% sawdust), F (25% straw + 25% sawdust + 50% cotton), G (20% straw + 20% rice husk + 60% cotton). The effect of the treatment was analyzed by analysis of variance at the 5% level and then continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the 5% level. The results showed that there was a significant effect of differences in growing media on the growth and yield of F4 seedling isolate FP007 mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae). Treatment G (20% Straw + 20% Rice Husk + 60% Cotton) gave the highest average fruit weight per plot of 6.30 g, the average harvest intensity of one growing season was 7.80 days and the total weight of one plot of 852 g, if the total weight is 71.58 kg. Key Words:F4 Faperta Unsika,Straw Mushroom, and Straw

Abstract

Pengkayaan terhadap pupuk organik limbah jamur merang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pupuk organik yang dihasilkan. Penggunuaan mikrob, kapur dan pupuk anorganik pada pupuk organik limbah jamur merang dapat menjadi alternatif dalam upaya peningkatan hara dalam pupuk organik limbah jamur merang. Penelitian dilaksanakan Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, Jalan HS Ronggowaluyo, Desa Puseurjaya, Kecamatan Telukjambe Timur, Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian menggunakan limbah media tanam jamur merang, Azotobacter, dolomit dan pupuk NPK. Penelitian dirancang menggunakan RAK dengan 7 perlakuan yaitu A1 (Limbah Jamur Merang 20 ton/ha + Azotobacter 10 ml/l), A2 (Limbah Jamur Merang 20 ton/ha + Pupuk NPK 0,45 ton/ha), A3 (Limbah Jamur Merang 20 ton/ha + dolomit 2 ton/ha), A4 (Limbah Jamur Merang 20 ton/ha + Azotobacter 10 ml/l+ Pupuk NPK 0,45 ton/ha), A5 (Limbah Jamur Merang 20 ton/ha + dolomit 2 ton/ha + Azotobacter 10 ml/l), A6 (Limbah Jamur Merang 20 ton/ha + Pupuk NPK 0,45 ton/ha + dolomit 2 ton/ha), A7 (Pupuk NPK 0,45 ton/ha). Seluruh perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Analisa data menggunakan Uji F dan Uji lanjut Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) taraf 5%. Hasil percobaan selada menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan A5 memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman berumur 21 dan 28 hst. Perlakuan A1 memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun umur 14 hst dan 21 hst. Perlakuan A6 memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun umur 28 hst dan bobot basah. Sementara perlakuan A3 memberikan pengaruh nyata pada parameter luas daun, dan perlakuan A2 memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap panjang akar.

Abstract

Bibit unggul berkualitas merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi dan hasil jamur merang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jenis bibit yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil jamur optimum pada media proporsi substitusi serbuk sabut kelapa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang dan di uji pada kumbung yang berlokasi di Desa Muktijaya  Kecamatan Cilamaya Kulon Kabupaten Karawang. Pada bulan Oktober 2021-Januari 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor  tunggal dengan 3  ulangan. Terdapat 10 perlakuan, yaitu A (F4 FP Putih), B (F4 FP Semi), C (F4 FP005), D (F4 FP006), E (F4 FP017), F (Maja Putih), G (Maja Semi), H (Wiji Putih), I (Wiji Semi) dan J (Merdeka Putih). Pengaruh perlakuan dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dan apabila uji F taraf 5% signifikan, untuk mengetahui perlakuan yang terbaik dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh nyata perbedaan bibit genotipe harapan F4 Faperta Unsika dan bibit Komersil terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jamur merang (Volvariella volvacea). Perlakuan A (F4 FP Putih) memberikan hasil tertinggi bobot konversi satu kumbung  yaitu 108.80 kg, jumlah tubuh buah 8,94 buah, bobot tubuh buah 9,09 g dan bobot  total perpetak 86,35 g dan isolat hibrida F4 FP005 memiliki nilai tertinggi pada bobot konversi satu kumbung yaitu 80,38 kg, jumlah tubuh buah 6,78 buah, bobot tubuh buah 12,81 g dan bobot total perpetak 63,79 g
