Abstract

This research explains the implementation of total quality service (TQS) in the banking industry in Indonesia and examines the differences of the implementation between government banks and private banks and also the influence of TQS variables on business performance. By using 32 samples, the result of regression analysis shows that TQS implementation variables significantly influence all banking performance variables, ie. human resources performance, customer satisfaction, service quality and cost performance except in financial performance variable at 5% level of significance. Further, there is significant difference between government banks and private banks in giving responses to their customers. Private banks give better response compared with those of government banks

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of financial literacy, income level, and lifestyle on career women well-being.   This study also tested self-control as mediation variable. By using purposive sampling technique, there are 228 respondents who meet the characteristics of career women who financially independent, living in the five big cities in East Java. All respondents filled an online survey, which is contained valid and reliable instrument. The test was done by partial least squares (PLS).  The results indicate that financial literacy has no significant effect on financial well-being, income level has a positive and significant effect on financial well-being, lifestyle has a significant negative effect on financial well-being and self-control mediates the effect of financial literacy on financial well-being. This result implies that literacy it self cannot affect on well being otherwise increase self control that in turn can support the intention to reach of higher level of well-being.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDampak pandemi Covid-19 membuat melemahnya kegiatan perekonomian dikota Surabaya. Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Surabaya berupaya memulihan keadaan perekonomian kota Surabaya. Salah satu upaya pemulihan tersebut  yaitu membantu pelaku UMKM Sentra Wisata Kuliner (SWK) Penjaringansari. Pemkot Surabaya bekerja sama dengan Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas untuk membantu pelaku UMKM di SWK sebagai program Pengabdian Masyarakat. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan penjualan SWK Wonorejo dan memudahkan pedagang berjualan di kondisi pandemi. Upaya yang telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung salah satunya adalah, meninjau lokasi SWK Penjaringan dan keadaan sekitar SWK Penjaringansari, menentukan permasalahan, dan merumuskan strategi pemasaran, membuat 200 kalender yang bersifat promosi produk SWK Penjaringansari dan menyebar 200 kalender tersebut dengan radius 1km dari SWK Penjaringansari, Publikasi artikel pada jurnal yang terkait. Dampak mendistribusikan kalender tersebut memudahkan pelanggan untuk memesan secara online dan mempermudah mecari lokasi SWK Penjaringansari Kata kunci: pemasaran; SWK penjaringansari ABSTRACTThe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has weakened economic activity in the Surabaya. The Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) is trying to restore Surabaya economic activity. One of these recovery efforts is to help UMKM in the Culinary Tourism Center (SWK) Penjaringansari. The Government of Surabaya  is collaborating with Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University to assist UMKM actors in SWK as a Cityzen Community Service program. The main purpose of this activity is to increase sales of SWK Wonorejo and make it easier for traders to sell their product in a pandemic condition. The efforts have been made to increase the number of visitors, one of which is reviewing the location of SWK Penjaringan and the conditions around SWK Penjaringansari, determining problems, and formulating marketing strategies, making 200 calendars that are promotional products of SWK Penjaringansari and spreading the 200 calendars with a radius of 1km from SWK Penjaringansari with randomly. The impact of distributing the calendar makes it easier for customers to order online and makes it easier to find Penjaringansari SWK locations Keywords: marketing; SWK penjaringansari.

Abstract

Investment interest is the desire to place some of the funds that are intentionally accommodated in the capital market for future profits. This study aims to examine the effect of investment knowledge, minimum capital policy, capital market training on students interest in investing. The number of respondents from this study were 133 respondents who came from Surabaya with the criteria as FEB faculty students at tertiary institutions in Surabaya and had attended capital market training or investment seminars at least once. The method used in this research is purposive sampling. The analysis technique used in this study is Partial Least Square Equation Modelling by usingsoftware Warp-PLS 8.0. The results of this study prove that investment knowledge has a not significant positive effect on investment intention, minimum capital policy and capital market training have a significant positive effect on investment intention.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is explanatory research used to explain the effect of self-control and financial literacy on financial management behavior. The population in this study were workers who were in the Gresik City area and managed their own finances. This research was cross-sectional because the data were obtained from a large number of questionnaires and were carried out in one period. Meanwhile, this research data collection method uses primary data. Because this study will use a questionnaire so that there are 124 respondents who have met the sample criteria. This study will use a structural equation model (Structural Equation Modeling) as a test tool, namely Partial Least Square (PLS). In this research, the model used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the first variable research prove that self-control has a significant positive effect on the financial management behavior of workers in Gresik City. However, the results of the second variable research prove that financial literacy has no significant effect on the financial management behavior of workers in Gresik City.

Abstract

ABSTRAKHingga saat ini, WHO belum mencabut status pandemi Covid-19, sehingga memberikan dampak ekonomi bagi Sentra Wisata Kuliner (SWK) di Penjaringan Sari. Penjualan pedagang SWK Penjaringan sari saat ini mengalami penurunan. Kegiatan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dilakukan untuk mengidentifiksi masalah yang terjadi. Hasil FGD menunjukkan permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah adanya persamaan jenis menu makanan atau minuman yang dijual dan tidak ada proses aturan kegiatan yang ditetapkan oleh koordinator mengenai penjualan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini melaksanakan pendampingan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman etika bisnis kepada pedagang SWK Penjaringan Sari. Metode program pengabdian adalah ceramah dan diskusi kemudian dilanjukan dengan tanya jawab antara narasumber dan peserta. Hasil evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan pendampingan menjelaskan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman pedagang pada materi etika bisnis. Hasil penilaian skor pre-test menunjukkan nilai 53,75, kemudian meningkat menjadi 70,60 untuk skor post-test. Hasil pengujian dengan menggunakan metode Wilcoxon Signed Rank juga menunjukkan nilai p-value sebesar 0.001. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman pedagang terhadap etika bisnis pada saat sebelum pendampingan dengan setelah pendampingan. Perubahan atas peningkatan kegiatan juga dialami pedagang setelah pendampingan. Kata kunci: sentra wisata kuliner (SWK); etika bisnis; pendampingan. ABSTRACTUntil now, WHO has not revoked the Covid-19 pandemic status, thus providing an economic impact for the Culinary Tourism Center (SWK) in Penjaringan Sari. Sales of SWK Penjaringan sari traders are currently experiencing a decline. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities are carried out to identify problems that occur. The results of the FGD showed that the problem faced was that there were similarities in the types of food or drink menus being sold and there was no process for activity rules set by the coordinator regarding sales. This community service program carries out mentoring with the aim of increasing understanding of business ethics for SWK Penjaringan Sari traders. The service program method is lectures and discussions then followed by questions and answers between the resource person and the participants. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of mentoring explained that there was an increase in traders' understanding of business ethics material. The results of the pre-test score showed a value of 53.75, then increased to 70.60 for the post-test score. The test results using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank method also show a p-value of 0.001. These results indicate that there is an increase in traders' understanding of business ethics before mentoring and after mentoring. Changes in increased activity were also experienced by traders after mentoring. Keywords: the culinary tourism center (SWK); business ethics; mentoring.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan produk keuangan syariah di Indonesia cukup menarik perhatian, hal tersebut karena niat membeli produk keuangan syariah masyarakat Indonesia yang relatif rendah. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh religiusitas terhadap niat membeli produk keuangan syariah dengan mediasi literasi keuangan syariah. Metode penelitian menggunakan survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian ini merupakan masyarakat Jawa Timur yang beragama Islam dan sudah berpendapatan. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 346 responden, dengan teknik non-probality dalam mengambil sampel. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa religiusitas berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap niat membeli produk keuangan syariah. Literasi keuangan syariah secara signifikan memediasi pengaruh religiusitas terhadap niat beli produk keuangan syariah. Tetapi pengaruh langsung religiusitas terhadap niat beli lebih tinggi daripada melalui mediasi literasi keuangan syariah. Keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini terdapat pada sampel yang kurang merata di wilayah Jawa Timur.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of personal income, financial knowledge, self control and financial attitude on financial management behavior, the effect of self control, the effect of financial knowledge on financial attitude, the ability of financial attitude to moderate the effect of financial knowledge on financial management behavior, and the ability to age in moderating the effect of financial attitude on financial management behavior. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a total sample of 243 BUMN employees in Surabaya being observed. The data analysis technique was performed using the SmartPls Structural Equation Model (SEM). Abstract

The study aims to build a new discourse on agency theory with the application of a “bisa rumangsa” culture in the implementation of corporate governance in order to achieve good corporate governance. Good corporate governance in Indonesia is hampered due to conflict of interests between managers and owners. Each of these managers and owners must understand the limitations of their rights and obligations. Understanding these limits will be born if they apply the culture of “bisa rumangsa”. This research is qualitative research with a radical humanist paradigm. The result of the research is a new concept regarding the application of agency theory by using a “bisa rumangsa” culture.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are entities managed and controlled by the owners. The performance of the owners strongly reflects the business performance of the SMEs. That is also the way of looking into the study aiming at analyzing the performance of SMEs from an Islamic perspective, which can be viewed from the owners' religiosity and financial behaviour. This framework is still rarely found in shari'a economics literature. This also involves further consideration of the need for Islamic values on the performance of small businesses in countries with Muslim-majority. Using a survey research design, 238 small business owners and managers participated in responding to a self-registered questionnaire research instrument. Using PLS-SEM, the research instrument has been tested for its validity and reliability and the variable's influence. The result proves that religiosity does not directly affect the performance of SMEs but indirectly influences the performance through financial behaviour. It means that religiosity forms good financial behaviour, and then the financial behaviour increases business performance. This study also finds that gender moderates the effect of religiosity on the behaviour of SME owners or managers. Furthermore, business age reduces the effect of financial behaviour on performance. The results of this study warn that old businesses should not make SMEs owners feel comfortable and resistant to change unless they fail to gain good business performance.
