Abstract

Purpose of this study is to analyze the creative thinking skills of junior high school students in physics in distance learning. This study describes students' creative thinking skills in physics using question instruments related to creative thinking. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The test is conducted online via google form. The instrument contains eight questions related to the physical matter of substance pressure and its application in everyday life. The subjects of this study were 32 students of VIII Junior High School in Gresik. The results showed that the analysis related to students creative thinking ability in physics obtained an average of 51.5% which was included in the creative enough category. On the fluency indicator it was 37% with the less creative category, 58% on the flexible thinking indicator (Flexibility). with the creative enough category, 64% on the original thinking indicator (Originality) with the creative category, 53% on the detailed thinking indicator (Elaboration) with the creative enough category and 43% on the metaphorical thinking indicator (metaphorical thinking) with the creative enough category. From these results it can be concluded that the creative thinking skills of student’s physics in distance learning are still in the sufficient category so that it needs to be improved especially in distance learning at this time, so that alternatives are needed in learning that is suitable for distance learning. Creative thinking skills are one of the important skills to be trained in the 21st century today.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of 3D models online modules to practice mastery of solar system conceptual knowledge. The effectiveness of the 3D models online modules was measured using a conceptual knowledge mastery test instrument which was tested on 15 7th grade junior high school students in Jombang district, East Jawa, Indonesia. The test instrument consisted of 30 questions with the addition of the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) which was divided into 3 meetings and each meeting tested 10 questions. The results showed that 48.67% of students had been able to master conceptual knowledge when given the 3D models online modules. However, 31.11% of students experienced misconceptions, 8.44% answered correctly because of luck and 11.78% had not been able to master conceptual knowledge. Because the resulting misconceptions fall into the moderate criteria, it can be concluded that the 3D models online modules in general has not been effective in practicing mastery of solar system conceptual knowledge. When examined further, this ineffectiveness is found in the cognitive dimensions of C4, learning indicators (LI) 1, 3 and 4, as well as conceptual knowledge sub-types (CKST) 1 and 3. Abstract

The purpose of the research is to develop a STEM-based PjBL model of learning tools to train students' creativity through the Flood Detection Alarm project task. The research development design is a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). Methods of collecting research data using validation, questionnaires, observation, assessment, and documentation.The validity of the learning device has an average score above the value of 3 (valid). The practicality of learning devices is in the very good category, obstacles that occur during learning can be resolved with several solutions so that learning can run smoothly as expected. The effectiveness of the learning tools is effective in terms of the creativity of the students, the average score is 87.6% (very creative) and the students' responses are the average score is 94% (positive). The conclusion that can be underlined from the results of this study is the development of science learning tools with the PjBL model with a STEM approach that is suitable for training students' creativity in making Flood Detection Alarm products on Dynamic Electricity material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat alat deteksi kebocoran gas LPG serta penanggulangannya jika terjadi kebakaran. Pada pengoperasianya akan dibantu oleh Node MCU ESP8266 sebagai perangkat mikrokontroler untuk menjalankan berbagai macam perintah. Adaptor DC 12V sebagai penyedia sumber tenaga listrik untuk Node MCU ESP8266 dan adaptor 5V digunakan untuk penyedia sumber tenaga listrik untuk menghidupkan kipas dan water pump. Sensor MQ2 memiliki nilai presentase error rata-rata sebesar 0,63% dan sensor api dapat mendeteksi keberadaan api sampai jarak 70 cm. Ketika sensor MQ2 mendeteksi kadar gas lebih dari 100 ppm, maka sistem pengaman akan bekerja dengan cara menghidupkan kipas dan memberikan peringatan bahaya dengan cara menghidupkan buzzer. Ketika api terdeteksi oleh sensor api, maka sistem pengaman akan bekerja dengan cara menghidupkan water pump dan memberikan peringatan bahaya dengan cara menghidupkan buzzer. Setiap komponen yang telah dirangkai dapat berajalan dengan baik melalui pemrograman yang telah dibuat dan sistem berhasil mengirim informasi ke aplikasi Blynk saat terjadi perubahan kondisi yang terdeteksi sehingga aplikasi Blynk dapat menampilkan notifikasi pada smartphone ketika terdeteksi bahaya kebocoran gas dan bahaya kebakaran.

Abstract

A This study aims to analyze students science communication skills in the physics learning process especially in the Work and Energy concept using (Model-Observe-Reflect-Explain) MORE learning models. The research used a mixed method by utilizing test, questionnaires, and interviews with 10th and 11st grade students majoring in science, physics teachers and headmaster. The data was obtained by taking the physics scores of students in the work and energy concept who have received learning with the MORE learning model, then provides a questionnaire containing the obstacles faced by students in learning physics and interviews with students and teachers regarding learning constraints and science communication skills after learning using the MORE learning model. The findings indicated the MORE learning model helps students in practising science communication skills in learning with good student science communication skills will increase students understanding of Work and Energy concepts as seen from the students scores in the work and energy concept.  Keywords: science communication skill, MORE learning model, mixed methods, physics, cognitive ability                                                                                                                                                           Abstrak                                                                           Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan komunikasi sains siswa dalam proses pembelajaran fisika khususnya pada materi pembelajaran Usaha dan Energi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran (Model-Observe-Reflect-Explain) MORE. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan menggunakan tes, angket, dan wawancara yang diberikan pada siswa kelas 10 dan 11 jurusan IPA, guru-guru fisika dan kepala sekolah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mengambil nilai fisika siswa yang telah mendapatkan  pembelajaran pada materi Usaha dan Energi dengan model pembelajaran MORE, kemudian memberikan angket yang diisikan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi siswa selama proses pembelajaran fisika dan wawancara dengan siswa dan guru mengenai kendala-kendala selama proses pembelajaran untuk melatihkan keterampilan komunikasi sains dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran MORE. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran MORE dapat membantu siswa dalam melatihkan keterampilan komunikasi sains dalam pembelajaran fisika. Meningkatnya keterampilan komunikasi sains siswa maka akan meningkatkan pula pemahaman siswa pada materi Usaha dan Energi yang terlihat dari nilai yang diperoleh siswa.  Kata Kunci: keterampilan komunikasi sains, model pembelajaran MORE, mixed methods, fisika, kemampuan kognitif

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah menurunkan penghasilan, menghilangkan pekerjaan, mengganggu kesehatan masyarakat. Tanpa kecuali masyarakat desa Iker Iker Cerme Gresik harus bisa mengatasi dan bangkit melalui hasil panen Cabe mereka. Pandemi mempengaruhi penjualan cabe beserta olahannya dan bidang kuliner yang memanfaatkannya. Cabe merupakan bahan pokok yang tidak stabil harga dan pasokannya, cuaca dan kondisi alam sangat mempengaruhi produktivitasnya. Kekeringan yang panjang dan hujan yang berlebihan menjadi kendala bagi petani Cabe. Harga cabe yang terus melambung, membuat tengkulak menangguk untung sesaat tetapi masyarakat umum yang resah. Harga Cabe mahal saat stok di petani habis atau menipis. Kisaran harga yang terlalu fluktuatif tersebut mengganggu bagi petani dan masyarakat serta bidang wirausaha kuliner yang berbahan dasar Cabe. Solusi untuk mengatasi hal tersebut tim PkM Unesa berkolaborasi, bersinergi mengedukasi ibu-ibu PKK menangani hasil cabe dengan diversifikasi olahan berbahan dasar cabe. Dilakukan pelatihan dengan metode tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan praktek untuk menghasilkan olahan yang variatif menjadi abon cabe, saus cabe, stik cabe, aneka sambal cabe, bubuk cabe, berkedel cabe, yang higienis dengan pengemasannya. Kegiatan PkM yang dilakukan menyebabkan ibu-ibu PKK desa Iker Iker memiliki keterampilan pengolahan Cabe dan timbul jiwa wira usaha baru untuk menambah penghasilan bagi keluarga dimasa Pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce physic learning device regarding to thematerial of dynamic electricity by using problem based learning (PBL) assisted by PhET inguiding critical thinking skill of junior high school students. The objective details aregenerating the validity of learning tools developed through PBL model as well as teachingmaterials for students and student activity sheets, resulting the practice of instructional toolsdeveloped through PBL model, analyzing and describing the effectiveness of learning toolsdeveloped through PBL assisted by PhET reviewed by students’ critical thinking skill after theapplication of PBL model assisted by PhET to strengthen students’ critical thinking skill.Research and Development is a type of research used with 4D as the model and one grouppretest posttest design. Data collection in this research is by using validation, questionnaire,test, and observation while the technique of data analysis is using quantitative descriptiveanalysis. The instruments developed are lesson plans, student worksheets, critical thinkingskills tests and PhET simulation media for experiments. The final result in this result is to bringon a valid, practical and effective learning instrument in order to drill students’ critical thinkingskill on the subject of dynamic electricity

Abstract

Profesi sebagai guru adalah tenaga profesional, dimanan standard kualifikasi dan kompetensi profesi (pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian) merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan. Keterbatasan waktu, jam ngajar yang padat, sangat menggangu guru dalam merancang dan menyiapkan jenjang karirnya. Laporan penilaian usulan PAK guru yang dilakukan oleh LPMP Jawa Timur dengan tim penilai dari kepegawaian pusat, khusus untuk usulan PAK guru dari Kab. Nganjuk, sebanyak 87,7% guru SD tidak memenuhi syarat. Kegagalan tersebut utama disebabkan nilai karya ilmiah yang diajukan tidak dapat dinilai, karena tidak bisa memenuhi syarat penulisan ilmiah yang baik dan benar. Pada guru SD/MI di lingkup UPTD pendidikan Sawahan-Nganjuk, mayoritas guru (sekitar~89,3%) mengalami hal yang sama. Bertolak dari temuan tersebut, tim PKM-FMIPA Universitas Negeri Surabaya, akan mencoba membantu mengatasi persoalan tersebut, dengan cara: (i) melakukan analisis kemampuan awal guru; (ii) menggunakan metode yang tepat untuk memotivasi para guru; (iii) menggunakan strategi yang tepat untuk melatihkan kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah; dan (iv) melakukan evaluasi kemampuan akhir guru dalam menulis ilmiah yang lanyak untuk di muat di jurnal ilmiah ber ISSN. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini adalah: (i) peserta antusias mengikuti,  ternyata yang hadir sekitar 84,62% (33 guru); (ii) Materi-materi ini terbukti sangat membantu peserta, meskipun pada kenyataannya, pada hasil angket peserta setelah mengikuti pelatihan, menyatakan: mudah /bisa (3 guru (9,1%) ), sulit (17 guru (51,5%)) dan sangat sulit (13 guru (39,4%)); dan (iii) Produk akhir dari pelatihan ini adalah semua peserta telah membuat draft artikel ilmiah dengan kualitas, 1 artikel sudah sangat baik, 20 draf artikel cukup baik/sedang (ada revisi sedang), dan 12 draf artikel cukup (dengan revisi mayor).Kata Kunci:  Karya ilmiah, SD/MI, guru profesional

Abstract

Natural zeolite is one of the alternative adsorbents with good absorption capabilities, including in absorbing color. The adsorption ability of zeolite can be increased by the activation process because it can increase the Si/Al ratio and pore size. Dragon fruit peel is a natural material that can be used as a natural dye because it contains betacyanin pigments which are equivalent to synthetic dyes. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of activated green and brown zeolite and their adsorption ability on natural dyes of dragon fruit peel. Zeolite was activated chemically using 3M HCl solution and physically through a heating process of 500°C, then characterized using XRD and FTIR. The zeolite adsorption process was carried out with variations in contact time of 30, 60 and 90 minutes and variations in the mass of the adsorbent 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 grams. The results of XRD analysis showed that the green and brown zeolite contained mordenite, nepheline and quartz minerals. The highest percentage of color degradation in the adsorption process was in brown zeolite at 27.70% at a contact time of 90 minutes and 88.2% at an adsorbent mass of 0.5 grams. Differences in brown zeolite before and after adsorption can be seen from the shift in the wavelength of each functional group due to the interaction with dragon fruit peel.

Abstract

AbstrakSeiring dengan maraknya peredaran minuman beralkohol di pasaran, berdampak pada meningkatnyapenyalahgunaan alkohol yang dapat merugikan individu maupun masyarakat. Seperti tindakan kriminal, perkelahian,kecelakaan lalu lintas, dan bahkan pembunuhan. Hal ini terjadi karena zat yang terkandung pada alkohol dapatmengganggu sistem syaraf pusat, kesadaran tubuh, dan kordinasi otot-otot pada tubuh. Dan juga gangguan psikologis,seperti kehilangan fokus, perubahan suasana hati dan terpengaruhya emosi kognitif. Saat ini telah banyak beredar produkproduk minuman yang dicampur dengan beberapa jenis alkohol secara ilegal, namun untuk melakukan pengujian padaobjek masih relatif rumit. Karena pengembangan alat deteksi alkohol terbatas pada kebutuhan industri dan laboratoriumdengan alat berdimensi besar, harga relatif mahal, dan waktu yang lama. Hal itu mendasari kami untuk membuat alatdeteksi alkohol yang lebih portabel, memiliki akurasi yang baik, waktu pengujian yang singkat, dan terjangkau. Kamimenggunakan sensor MQ-3 yang memiliki sensitivitas tinggi dalam membaca perubahan kadar gas alkohol. Denganmicrocontroller Arduino Nano V3 yang memiliki dimensi lebih kecil, pin input analog lebih banyak, menggunakansoftware Arduino IDE dengan bahasa pemrograman C. Nilai digital dari Arduino Nano di transmisi kan ke LCD untukdipresentasikan hasil pengukuran alat terhadap sampel uji. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan indikator berupa LED dan Buzzeruntuk memudahkan pengguna. Dari hasil pengujian terhadap beberapa sampel minuman, alat ini dapat bekerja denganbaik dibuktikan dengan nilai galat rata-rata sebesar 2,94%. Dan juga pemrograman pada Arduino berjalan dengan baikdibuktikan dengan indikator LED dan Buzzer yang menyala setelah diberikan sampel alkohol dengan kadar tertentu. Such as criminal acts, fights, traffic accidents, and even murder. Thishappens because the substances contained in alcohol can interfere with the central nervous system, body awareness, andcoordination of the muscles in the body. And also psychological disorders, such as loss of focus, mood swings andcognitive emotional influences. Currently, there are many drink products that are mixed with several types of alcoholillegally in circulation, but testing the object is still relatively complicated. Because the development of alcohol detectionequipment is limited to industrial and laboratory needs with large dimensions, relatively expensive prices, and a longtime. This is the basis for us to make alcohol detectors that are more portable, have good accuracy, short test times, andare affordable. We use the MQ-3 sensor which has high sensitivity in reading changes in alcohol gas content. With theArduino Nano V3 microcontroller which has smaller dimensions, more analog input pins, using Arduino IDE softwarewith C programming language. Digital values from Arduino Nano are transmitted to the LCD for presentation of themeasurement results of the test sample. This tool is equipped with an indicator in the form of an LED and a buzzer tomake it easier for users. From the results of testing on several beverage samples, this tool can work well as evidenced byan average error value of 2.94%. And also the programming on the Arduino went well as evidenced by the LED andBuzzer indicators that light up after being given a sample of alcohol with a certain level.
