Abstract

Starting from human resources that competent in Rumah Kartini Community capable of managing the website www.rumahkartini.com regularly and in accordance with the rules of journalism, the author wants to develop human resources and managing the website www.rumahkartini.com under the Rumah Kartini continued and to be able to manage well in accordance with the community's vision and mission. In the paper the author this field served as a Reporter and Editor. The reporter in charge of finding and writing the news. The editor in charge of news texts edited before uploading into the website and selecting the news that will be uploaded. The results of the development of human resources in this community they are able to continue manage website with good information and renew frequently. The results of the management of www.rumahkartini.com for one month is uploading the article as much as 31 and the number of visitors 4,334 as much as the minimum target of 1500 visitors. And able to manage 4 sections namely Tempo Doeloe, Discovery, Kulineran and Event.

Abstract

In reality, there are various forms of family. Unfortunately, society has not been able to appreciate the diversity of family forms. In fact, children raised by single parents, such as single mothers, are bullied due to their parents' divorce. This research aims to understand the experience of single-parent communication assistance to child survivors of bullying. This research uses a descriptive phenomenological approach, with four informants participating in the study. The four informants are single mothers and have children who have experienced bullying due to their parents' divorce. The theory developed in this research is a theory that explains dialogic communication, namely Dialogic Communication Theory, and a theory that explains relationship maintenance or Relationship Maintenance Theory. Based on the findings in the study, Speech Act Theory was added. Through this research, we can understand that communication assistance by single mothers is carried out with various efforts, not only by words but also by taking concrete actions, such as maintaining emotions when interacting with children, listening to children carefully, providing advice and direction, utilizing applications chat, as well as the role of other family members in giving attention. Single mothers also offer communication assistance by strengthening their children and not becoming authoritarian parents. Single mothers provide confidence to their children to grow selfconfidence. Communication assistance makes the child grow up more confident, independent, not easily giving up, and able to better understand the situation. Thus, the communication assistance carried out by single mothers is an integration of giving attention, strengthening, and trusting.

Abstract

Due to their adaptability and the capacity of technology to integrate aspects of human life, technological advancements and developments, particularly in the fields of telecommunications, information, and multimedia, have a significant impact on adaptations in social relationships. The number of Indonesians who utilize the internet is steadily increasing. Due to the high mobility of humans, the commercial world places high value on the provision of goods and services and goods on demand and in a timely basis. Consumers now have the option of participating in convenient and cost-effective e-commerce. Numerous e-commerce platforms exist today. The platform is expansive and reaches all populations. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between Shopee’s brand awareness, brand association and perceived quality towards Shopee’s customers satisfaction among Indonesian Young-adults both partially and simultaneously. This research explains the findings of research contributing to Aaker and Keller's theory of brand equity. The primary population for this research is young adults aged 15 to 24 years old from throughout Indonesia, with a total of 100 respondents. The analysist tool used in this research is Kendall Tau_b Correlation Test to calculate ordinally ranked-data. The result of the study explained that Shopee’s brand awareness, brand association and perceived quality have a significant effect partially and simultaneously to customers satisfaction. Therefore, the result shows that brand awareness has a moderate and positive relationship, meanwhile brand association and perceived quality has a strong and positive relationship with customers satisfaction. This research 's result may be incorporated into the marketing strategies of companies and interested parties for maintaining and maximizing Brand Awareness, Brand Association, and Perceived Quality in order to have a good significant effect on potential customers, which can lead to Customer Satisfaction.

Abstract

Munculnya virus Covid-19 tentunya memberikan pengaruh pada aspek kehidupan salah satunya membawa dampak negatif pada hubungan dengan pasangan. Dengan berbagai kebijakan yang membatasi mobilitas masyarakat di masa pandemi tentunya menyebabkan pasangan yang menjalin sebuah hubungan romantis menjadi terpisah secara fisik sehingga frekuensi untuk menghabiskan waktu bersama pasangan secara langsung juga semakin menurun sehingga kerap hubungan jarak jauh rentan mengalami kerenggangan yang berujung pada berakhirnya hubungan romantis jarak jauh tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self esteem dan trust terhadap self disclosure yang dilakukan oleh pasangan jarak jauh dalam mempertahankan hubungan jarak jauh di era Pandemi Covid-19. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Kebutuhan Antarpribadi (Interpersonal Needs Theory) dan Teori Communication Privacy Management (CPM) dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel yang diteliti sebanyak 100 responden yaitu 60 responden dari mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2018 dan 40 responden dari mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2019 yang sedang menjalani hubungan jarak jauh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self esteem memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap self disclosure dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00. Selain itu juga trust memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap self disclosure dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00. Koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,753 yang artinya memiliki tingkat pengaruh yang kuat dan positif. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa apabila seseorang memiliki self esteem yang tinggi maka akan meningkatkan self disclosure yang ada dalam dirinya terhadap pasangannya. Begitu juga dengan trust, apabila seseorang memiliki trust yang tinggi maka akan meningkatkan self disclosure dirinya terhadap pasangannya. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terbukti dan sejalan dengan temuan hasil penelitian.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication should ideally in face to face, until the achievement of intimate communication. Instant messenger makes interpersonal communication easier and more efficient. However, it also resulted in less effective communication to occur, because it only uses text messaging as a means to convey a message so frequent miscommunication. This study wanted to see how the use of instant messenger among teenagers in interpersonal communication. The theory used in this study is a Computer Mediated Communication, Ecology Media and Interpersonal Intimacy. The method used in this research is phenomenology. The results of this study indicate that the instant messenger is a medium that is considered to be practical and easy to communicate interpersonally with family, friends, and lovers. Interpersonal communication process through instant messenger can not reach the stage of intimate relationship, because of interactions that occur frequently experienced miscommunication due to an incorrect perception. Interpersonal communication is more effective if it is done face to face. Teens when communicating via instant messenger, tend not to believe and to tell the truth.

Abstract

The relationship between in-laws and in-laws that exist consists of various kinds, namely conflict-filled relationships or harmonious relationships, especially if they both live under the same roof. This study aims to determine the correlation between the daughter/son-in-law's selfconcept and the daughter/son-in-law’s self-disclosure with the level of interpersonal conflict of mother/father in-laws who lived together. This research used Looking Glass Self Theory and Social Penetration Theory. This study used a sample of 100 people who in age from 19- 35 years old who are married and live with in-laws. This sample method used non-probability sampling with accidental techniques. The results showed the daughter/son-in-law's self-concept with the level of interpersonal conflict of mother/father in-laws who live together has a significance value of 0.000 ≤ 0.01, which means that there is a very significant correlation. This shows that Looking Glass Self theory can be applied in this study. The correlation coefficient is -0.558 means that it has a strong and negative level of correlation. This shows a negative correlation if the son-in-law's self-concept is low, the level of interpersonal conflict of mother/father in-laws who live together increases. While the daughter/son-in-law's self-disclosure with the level of interpersonal conflict of mother/father in-laws who lived together have a significant value of 0.000 ≤ 0.001, which means there is a very significant relationship. This shows that Social Penetration Theory can be applied in this study. The correlation coefficient is -0.553, which means it has a strong and negative level of correlation. This shows a negative correlation if the daughter/son-in-law's self-disclosure is low, the level of interpersonal conflict of mother/father in-laws who lived together increases. Likewise, vice versa. Therefore, the daughter/son-in-law should improve their self-concept and self-disclosure so that the level of interpersonal conflict of mother/father in-laws who lived with them decreases. It is recommended for further research to review other variables of the in-laws relationship.

Abstract

SomeThinc known as the local skincare targeting user at young ages specifically gen z, having targets to achieved the 1st local cosmetic in rank and reach predicate as the most popular local skincare line. However, recently, real data by research shows that Somethinc still occupies the number 3 position with a revenue sales figure of 8.1 billion. The data proves that Somethinc is not categorized as leading local skincare brand in Indonesia and is still far from reaching its goals as a brand that can achieve Go Global conditions. Some of the steps taken by SomeThinc are discount promotions through social media and the use of celebrity endorsers in promoting their skincare products to increase its revenue. The study aims to determine the effect of sales promotion intensity, celebrity endorser content exposure on adolescent impulsive buying behaviour. The theory used in this research is Stimulus-Organism-Response theory and social cognitive theory. To determine the sample, researcher uses non-probability sampling technique. The samples studied were 100 people with female gender, aged 18-24 years, actively shopping for skincare products with minimum 3 times purchasing Somethinc skincare, have a monthly income and domiciled at Jabodetabek. The method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using primary data retrieved from questionnaire. The results showed that sales promotion intensity have influence over impulsive buying with a significant significance of 0.000. Furthermore, there is an influence between celebrity endorsement content exposure on impulsive buying with has a significant value of 0.000. In conclusion, there is an influence between sales promotion intensity, celebrity endorsement content exposure simultaneously has a significant effect on the impulsive buying variable by generation Z. Independent variable influenced dependent variables by 68,8% while 31.2% left affected by other variables outside the study.

Abstract

Kebijakan Vaksinasi Covid-19 merupakan upaya pemerintah untuk penanggulangan kasus Covid-19. Bidang Komunikasi Publik Satgas Covid-19 telah melakukan sosial- isasi terkait vaksinasi. Melalui komunikasi dalam keluarga, informasi mengenai vaksin juga dipertukarkan. Namun, minat masyarakat untuk menerima dosis vaksin masih ren- dah sehingga tingkat capaian vaksinasi Covid-19 belum memenuhi target. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi komunikasi Satgas Covid-19 dan intensitas komunikasi keluarga mengenai vaksin Covid-19 terhadap minat melakukan vaksinasi. Teori yang digunakan yaitu Source Credibility Theory dan teori interaksi simbolik. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini 100 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non-probability sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linier sederhana.

Abstract

Verbal aggressive behavior is violence with communication aimed at people, carried out intentionally with the intention of hurting, intimidating, and harming others indirectly or directly (Nindya and Margaretha, 2012: 2). There are several factors that make a person perform verbal aggressive behavior, especially in adolescents, namely the intensity of playing PUBG games and parental supervision. The intensity of playing the PUBG game can be concluded, namely the depth of an activity carried out with pleasure over the media that has a benchmark for how often a person plays the game within a certain period of time. Parental supervision is an effort that has a coercive nature on the emotional and psychological development of adolescents such as self-disclosure, thinking, emotions that are expressed into adolescent expressions and the closeness of parents. The theory used in this research is social learning theory and parental mediation. This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of playing PUBG games and parental supervision on adolescent verbal aggressive behavior. The research population used is people aged 16-24 years, domiciled in the city of Semarang, and an unknown number of people play PUBG games. The sample is 60 respondents using non-probability sampling technique and purposive sampling method. This type of research uses explanatory. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis where there is a significant t test, f test, and coefficient of determination with SPSS 25 for Windows application. Using quantitative methods with a positivistic paradigm. The results of the t-test showed that the intensity of playing the PUBG game had an effect on the verbal aggressive behavior of adolescents with a sig value of 0.000 0.050. The results of the research on the f test showed that the intensity of playing the PUBG game and parental supervision has an effect on adolescent verbal aggressive behavior with a sig value of 0.00> 0.050. The results on the coefficient of determination, the influence of the intensity of playing PUBG games and parental supervision on adolescent verbal aggressive behavior have an R Square value of 0.289 with the meaning that the influence value is 28.9%.

Abstract

The ta’aruf method as a premarital exploratory process can be chosen by Muslim individuals who want to get to know their potential spouse better through a method that is in accordance with Islamic law. In this study, individuals who carry out ta’aruf are seen as a subject who has certain thoughts and feelings in the relationship development process that is passed. The whole process of thinking by individuals gives meaning to the experience of dialogue with other individuals throughout the ta’aruf process. This study aims to understand the stages of relationship development and to understand the communication patterns formed in the experience in ta’aruf. There are two theories used in this study, namely the theory of relationship development and the theory of relational dialectics. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and uses a phenomenological approach that highlights the unique experiences that the informants have gone through. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews with the four research informants to explore the experiences of each informant. The results obtained from this study are that the stages of developing relationships in ta’aruf are a dynamic process. Relationship development is not tied to a fixed path. Interpersonal relationships in ta’aruf cover the stages of contact, involvement, intimacy, deterioration, repair, and dissolution which consist of the process of exchanging personal profiles, discussion processes, and engagement, until a decision is made to marry or not to marry. Furthermore, the pattern of communication formed in ta’aruf is determined by the background of the informant and partner, the mediator, the form and the system of communication, and the involvement of the nuclear family. Belief become a factor that influences individual decision-making to move forward or backward to a certain stage in the relationship. Confidence comes from a collection of information obtained through dialogue and dialectics which is then managed within the individual.
