Abstract

Objectives: Our aim was to compare endothelial corneal cell changes after cataract surgery performed with Torsional and Longitudinal phacoemulsification in patient with senile cataract. Methods: In this prospective study, the patients were divided into two groups, 24 eyes underwent cataract surgery using Torsional (OZil Infiniti Vision System, Alcon) and 23 eyes using Longitudinal phacoemulsification (Stelaris, Bausch & Lomb). Preoperative, 1 day, and 1-week post-operative examinations on endothelial corneal cells were performed using specular microscope. Cataracts were subdivided according to the LOCS III grading of nucleus. Intraoperative parameters using phacoemulsification time were evaluated. Results: On the results of CCT at 1 day and 1-week post-operative, there were significant changes in group Torsional and Longitudinal 601±68.67; 562.22±45.48 (p=0.033) and 561,71±36,37; 519.52±79.93 (p = 0.015). However, there were no significant changes of CD, CV, HEX 1 day and 1 week post operatively between two groups. The phacoemulsification time was lower in group Torsional 17.11±15.86 seconds than group Longitudinal 18.53±15.46 seconds (p=0.595) but not significantly different. Conclusions: Torsional phacoemulsification outperforms the Longitudinal with a lower phacoemulsification time on soft and medium cataracts, but the differences were not significant. Torsional caused more corneal edema at 1 day and 1 week postoperative significantly and more endothelial cell losses but insignificantly.

Abstract

Introduction: Bleb-associated endophthalmitis (BAE) is a potentially sight-threatening complications of trabeculectomy and is associated with poor visual outcome. BAE denotes an ocular infection with involvement of the vitreous, which usually develops months or years after glaucoma filtering surgery. The purpose of this case report was to present a case about late onset BAE caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Methods: A 55-year-old male presented with a 3-days history of left eye pain, redness, hypopion decreased visual acuity and hypotony with Seidel test positive. He had a history of primary open angle glaucoma that was treated with a combined procedure of cataract surgery and trabeculectomy in the left eye ten years earlier. His visual acuity had decreased from 6/20 to light perception. This patient showed signs of hypotony, endophthalmitis, leak, and pain but no previous history of using anti-fibrotic agents. BAE causative organisms cultures grew the S.aureus, that frequent cause of acute-onset endophthalmitis. The patient underwent treatment with pars plana vitrectomy, vitreous taps, administered intravitreal antibiotic, and prescribed hourly topical antibiotic. Six months after his last treatment, his left eye shows no residual infection, and visual acuity increase to 1/60. Results: One case of late onset BAE with visual improvement after early vitrectomy, intravitreal, oral and topical antibiotic treatment. Conclusion: Despite the poor prognosis of BAE caused by S.aureus infection, after proper treatment can yield an adequate result, as demonstrated in this case.

Abstract

Objectives: The objective of this study is to have an expanded evaluation on the effect of phacotrabeculectomy on ocular biometric (ACD/anterior chamber depth, lens thickness), gonioscopic and intraocular pressure (IOP) in primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG). Methods: A cohort study of PACG patient who underwent phacotrabeculectomy from September 2018- March 2019 at Dr.Kariadi hospital. Preoperative secondary data of baseline IOP, ACD, lens thickness, and gonioscopy were obtained from medical record. Postoperative primary data of IOP, ACD, and gonioscopy were obtained 2 weeks after surgery. Results: Thirty eyes from 23 patients had preoperative and postoperative mean IOP (26,20±2,24 and 18,35±2,49), mean ACD (2,46±0,37 and 3,40±0,40), mean gonioscopic score (4,97±0,96 and 8,33±1,63), mean preoperative lens thickness (4,58±0,39). There were significant differences between IOP, ACD and gonioscopic score (<0,001) before and after phacotrabeculectomy. The greater lens thickness was associated with IOP reduction ( <0,001 r=0,756), increased ACD ( 0,005 r=0,498), and increased gonioscopic score ( <0,001, r=0,802). The positive correlation can be seen between gonioscopic score and ACD ( <0,001 r=0,666) and the negative correlation between IOP and ACD ( <0,001 r=0.683), IOP and gonioscopic score ( <0,001 r=0,876). Conclusion: Phacotrabeculectomy may be effective in reducing IOP, increasing ACD, and gonioscopic scores significantly in PACG patients. Lens thickness may be positively

Abstract

This article discusses the role of accounting theory in the financial reporting system at PT companies. Abdi Budi Mulia. Accounting theory has an important role in the development of accounting systems and financial reporting in companies. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting a case study at PT. Abdi Budi Mulia. The research results show that the company has implemented accounting theory in its financial reporting system. However, there are several challenges and obstacles that stand in the way of implementing an accounting system, such as changes in regulations, limited human resources, use of technology, limited time and costs, as well as difficulties in processing data. Therefore, companies must pay attention to these factors in developing a better and more integrated accounting system. In this article, the author also discusses the influence of accounting history in Europe, America and Indonesia on the development of the accounting system in Indonesia, as well as the challenges and obstacles that may be faced in implementing the accounting system at PT. Abdi Budi Mulia. It is hoped that this article can provide insight and a better understanding of the role of accounting theory in the development of accounting systems and financial reporting in companies.

Abstract

Sheikh Azra'i Abdurrauf is a muqri from North Sumatra who masters the sciences of the Koran such as tajwid, fashahah, tafsir, and the science of qira'at. However, as a cleric who played a role in producing Al-Quran scholars and scientists for the next generation, his character and role are not visible in historical records and tend to disappear with his death, if no one uncovers and re-examines the role of this cleric. in written form, it is feared that the history and role of the Islamic scholar Sheikh Azra'i Abdurrauf will be lost. The aim of this research is to review the role of influential Al-Quran scholars from North Sumatra who are active and active in the international arena so that they remain visible in historical records and are not forgotten and provide motivation. for students of the Koran, qori-qoriah, and successors of the Koran in the future. In this research, the author used the library research method, namely searching for and collecting books related to the research discussion, the results of this research are understandable a muqri from North Sumatra, Syakh Azra'I Abdurrauf is very influential in the national and international arena because of his work and achievements as a judge on the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) national and international level, teaching at the Jakarta Al-Quran Science College (PTIQ), filling in IZA 'AH in Saudi Arabia and received an award as a professor of hafizd of the Koran.

Abstract

Accidents and emergency conditions can occur anywhere, at any time and attack anyone, including at school. Mistakes or delays in initial treatment can result in a further worsening of the victim's condition which can result in disability or other complications, so it is necessary to pay attention to management and management functions, namely aspects of implementation/movement or action as an effort to optimize and foster UKS. However, the problem is that the knowledge of teachers and school principals is still lacking, there is a lack of funds, and the infrastructure is inadequate for implementing UKS. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of UKS officers and make them truly ready to handle emergency conditions in the school environment and its surroundings. In implementing the provision of UKS services at Bawakaraeng High School, UKS collaborates with teachers. With implementation methods, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of this activity show that the service activity process went smoothly and there was an increase in knowledge with a pre-test score in the good knowledge category, namely 10 people (33.33%) and less than 20 people (66.67%), then the post test results with good knowledge, namely 28 people (93.33%) and less than 2 people (6.67%)

Abstract

The State Administrative Court is a judicial institution that acts as a supervisor of government administration actions. The State Administrative Court, which is the court of first instance, has the function of examining, deciding, and resolving state administrative cases. One of the cases that falls into the realm of the State Administrative Court is the case of the Banten Regional Police Chief Decree Number: KEP/773/XI/2021 concerning the dishonorable dismissal from the Police service on behalf of Ara Syafana due to a violation of the Police professional code of ethics. This research aims to find out 1) The judge's consideration for determining decision number: 12/G/2022/PTUN.Srg with a case of dishonorable dismissal of a police officer, 2) Legal implications arising from decision number: 12/G/2022/PTUN.Srg. The use of qualitative research as a method of this research which type is normative juridical research and uses a case approach and statutory approach. In data collection techniques using literature studies with data acquisition from various related literature and regulations. The results of this study show that: 1) The entire lawsuit of the plaintiff was rejected by the Panel of Judges on the grounds that the arguments in the lawsuit filed by the plaintiff were not legally sufficient or the legal principles were incorrect and the truth of the arguments was not successfully proven by the plaintiff. 2) The legal implications arising from decision number: 12/G/2022/ PTUN.Srg have a significant impact, both for the plaintiff and for the Police institution. The decision resulted in the plaintiff losing his job as a police officer, losing his status as a police officer which could affect his legal rights and obligations. Of course, this also has an impact on the Police institution where the existence of this case can be a bad image of the police in the eyes of the public. This may affect confidence in the professionalism and integrity of the Police.

Abstract

Instrumentation applications, which consist of tests and non-tests, are important tools used by guidance and counseling teachers to collect accurate data about students, which is then used to provide appropriate guidance. This research aims to explore the use of instrumentation applications in Guidance and Counseling (BK) services at schools. The method used in this research is a literature approach, collecting data from various scientific publications that are relevant to the research topic. The research results show that although instrumentation applications are very important in understanding students' needs and problems, many guidance and counseling teachers still face obstacles in their use, mainly due to a lack of understanding and adequate training. Important stages in implementing instrumentation applications include collection, planning, reporting, evaluation and follow-up. To provide effective guidance and counseling services, guidance and counseling teachers need to understand and be proficient in the use of instrumentation applications, which will help students realize their potential and solve the problems they face.
