Abstract

Fenomena rendahnya kesiapan karier siswa SMA masih menjadi tantangan, ditandai rendahnya partisipasi pendidikan tinggi dan kebingungan dalam menentukan jurusan maupun profesi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas tes minat dan bakat terhadap kesiapan karier siswa SMA kelas 3. Metode penelitian ini Participatory Action Research (PAR), dengan desain one group pretest-posttest dengan jumlah 48 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa skala kesiapan karier dengan aspek efikasi diri karier, perencanaan karier, keterampilan kerja, pemahaman dunia kerja, dan sikap terhadap dunia kerja. Skala ini memiliki validitas lebih besar dari 0,279 dan reliabilitas 0,861, serta data berdistribusi normal. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kesiapan karier siswa setelah pemberian tes minat dan bakat, dengan rata-rata skor prates 25,93 meningkat menjadi 34,89 pada pasca tes (p < 0,001). Perubahan kategorisasi juga terlihat jelas, di mana siswa dengan tingkat kesiapan karier tinggi meningkat dari 24 orang menjadi 47 orang, sementara yang rendah turun dari 24 orang menjadi 1 orang. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa tes minat dan bakat efektif dalam membantu siswa mengenali potensi diri dan merencanakan arah karier. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi asesmen dengan layanan konseling karier agar hasilnya lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of small and microenterprises (SMEs) depend not only on the availability of internal resources but also on innovation and worldwide regulation dynamics. The triple helix concept has become an alternative solution for improving the quality of SMEs, which consists of academicians, governments, and businesses (SMEs). Muza is an SME that is being fostered by lecturers in the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya in Blitar District; this SME produces smoked salted eggs and has become one of the featured products based on Blitar's Service of Fishery and Livestock Department. The communication between the academician and the Muza Management-Government on the development program was implemented separately. This research aimed to develop development strategies to increase the quality of Muza smoked salted eggs. The research was conducted in Blitar District in July 2022. The research used an explanatory method to identify problems in the field and categorize the problems into groups using the SWOT method. SWOT components are formed using in-depth interviews with the planner and implementer of the strategy, which consists of five people. The subjects were given a closed questionnaire that consisted of SWOT components. The SWOT analysis results show that the total IFE score is 4 and the EFE score is 4.45. The IE matrix shows that the empowerment strategy is on the “V” cell, which has a "hold and maintain" strategy. Thus, the programs given were not efficient, and strategic planners need to focus on product quality improvement. The design of GMP and HACCP systems is strongly recommended.

Abstract

Yogurt is a synbiotic yogurt made from a combination of probiotics and prebiotics, so the addition of bawang dayak extract (Eleutherine palmifolia (L) Merr) improved the functional properties of the synbiotic yogurt. The research objective was to analyse the physicochemical properties of yogurt synbiotic enriched with bawang dayak extract. The physicochemical properties, pH, acidity, syneresis and water holding capacity were analysed. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications with various concentrations of bawang dayak extract (T0 = 0%, T1 = 1%, T2 = 4% and T3 = 6%). The main ingredients used were skim milk, fresh milk, yogurt starter (Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streptococcus thermophilus) and bawang dayak extract. The results of this study showed that the pH, acidity and water holding capacity were not significantly different (p>0.05) among the treatments, while syneresis was highly significantly different (p<0.01) at the T3 (6%) concentration.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi peternak domba di Lumajang yang tergabung dalam CV. MRP (Mitra Ruminansia Perkasa): 1) Konsentrat yang dihasilkan CV. MRP menghasilkan ADG domba yang rendah, 2) Kapasitas produksi konsentrat di CV. MRP masih rendah karena masih menggunakan tenaga manusia untuk mencampur formula konsentrat, dan 3) Pendapatan peternak peternak domba CV. MRP yang rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui Program Doktor mengabdi meliputi: 1) Pelatihan formulasi pakan konsentrat dengan Granul Multinutrient ALT bagi formulator pakan di CV. MRP, 2) Kontrol kualitas produksi konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT, 3)  Pelatihan penggunaan mesin mixing dalam peningkatan kapasitas produksi pakan konsentrat dengan Granul Multinutrient ALT, 4) Diseminasi  pakan konsentrat dengan Granul Multinutrient ALT bagi peternak domba di CV. MRP melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan dan demplot, dan 5) Evaluasi keberhasilan suplementasi pakan konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT ke domba milik peternak CV. MRP di Lumajang. Kegiatan Doktor mengabdi menghasilkan: 1) Formulator pakan di CV. MRP untuk menghasilkan Granul Multinutrient ALT, 2) Granul Multinutrient ALT yang dihasilkan CV. MRP memiliki kualitas yang baik, 3) CV. MRP mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi pakan konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT menggunakan kombinasi mesin pellet dan pan granulator serta mesin mixer, dan 4) Peternak di CV. MRP mampu menerapkan pakan konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT dan dapat meningkatkan ADG domba dengan kualitas karkas dan daging yang lebih baik dan dapat mempersingkat masa penggemukan domba.

Abstract

The increasing demand for energy and the need for environmental sustainability have led to the adoption of renewable energy sources, such as micro-hydropower plants (PLTMH), in isolated communities in Indonesia. However, voltage and frequency instability issues are commonly encountered in PLTMH systems, which undermine their performance. In 2009, a micro-hydropower plant with a capacity of 30 KW was built in Renah Kemumu village.  Ranah Kemumu village is located in Jangkat sub-district, Merangin district, Jambi province. In this study, the voltage and frequency instability of PLTMH in Renah Kemumu Village were investigated. The methodology employed in this study was observational. The voltage and frequency data were measured and recorded during peak load hours from 18.00 to 21.00 over one month. The percentage increase relative to the standard voltage and frequency was calculated. Boxplots were generated to visualize the distributions. The voltage measurements showed maximum and minimum values of 270 V and 264 V, representing increases of 22.72 % and 20.45% from the 220 V (standard set by the power utility (PLN)). The frequency ranged from 66.32 Hz to 57.46 Hz, corresponding to 30.92% and 14.92% deviations from the 50 Hz (standard set by the power utility (PLN)).  These values exceeded the tolerance limits of the State Electricity Company of Indonesia. The analysis indicates that the voltage and frequency levels at the PLTMH in Renah Kemumu Village are unstable during peak loads, with fluctuations stemming from changing water flows, load currents, and weather conditions

Abstract

Gedung B Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Jambi merupakan gedung bertingkat dengan 4 lantai yang belum memiliki sistem proteksi petir eksternal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melakukan observasi dalam pengambilan data. Pengolahan data yang dilakukan berupa data konstruksi bangunan, jumlah hari guruh dan pengukuran grounding. Hasil dari analisis tingkat kebutuhan sistem proteksi petir eksternal menggunakan pedoman  SNI 03-7015-2004 sebesar 0,74 berada pada tingkat proteksi IV. Pada perancangan sistem proteksi petir eksternal di gedung B Fakuktas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Jambi menggunakan metode bola bergulir, menggunakan terminasi udara konvensional dengan diameter ¾ Inch (19,05 mm), Kabel BC 16 mm2, dan Grounding Rod Bc ½ Inch (12 mm) dengan penggunaan terminasi udara sebanyak 9 buah dengan posisi 3 berbaris pada posisi tengah, samping kiri dan samping kanan pada atap gedung. Perancangan sistem grounding pada penelitian ini menggunakan sistem multiple rod dengan jumlah 6 rod kedalaman 1 meter dengan nilai tahanan pentanahan 4,69  yang berada pada belakang kanan gedung. Total biaya yang akan digunakan sebesar Rp. 73.379.424,-.Kata Kunci : Perancangan, Sistem proteksi petir eksternal, Grounding.

Abstract

Enhancing the quality of learning is worthy by the availability of PLTS trainers. This work intends to build and create PLTS trainers as learning material for renewable energy generation. The preparation of this study was divided into two stages: first, a PLTS media trainer kit and a practical training module that functioned as a handbook for using the media trainer were created. The ADDIE method is used as the development model for the practical guiding module and media trainer. Based on the data analysis findings show that the 10Wp solar module can provide a maximum energy of 5.11Wp for 11 hours when charging a 7.5Ah battery. With a 63 Watt total load, the PLTS trainer's Ah battery can run for 37 minutes. With an average percentage of 93% and 92%, respectively, the material expert validator and media expert have deemed the media trainer and practicum instruction module feasible. This places them in the very good category
