Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of athletes on the effectiveness of the training program at DL Petanque Club Mataram. The research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The method used is a survey through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. The population in this study is all athletes who actively participate in the training program at DL Petanque Club Mataram which totals 22 athletes. The sampling technique uses total sampling so that the entire population is used as a research sample. The research instrument is in the form of a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been validated by two validators. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques by calculating scores and percentages to determine the categories of effectiveness of the exercise program. The results of the study showed that the athletes' perception of the effectiveness of the training program at DL Petanque Club Mataram as a whole was in the effective category. This is shown by the percentage results on each indicator, namely training objectives (68.41%), training materials (74.85%), training methods (69.09%), training intensity (76.82%), role of coaches (73.03%), training facilities (70.30%), evaluation system (73.18%), motivation (72.50%), and mental readiness (74.77%). These results show that the training program implemented has been able to support the improvement of technical skills, physical condition, motivation, and mental readiness of athletes. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the training program at DL Petanque Club Mataram has run well and is able to make a positive contribution to the athlete coaching process. However, the evaluation and development of training programs still need to be carried out on an ongoing basis so that the quality of training can continue to improve and support the achievement of athletes' achievements optimally.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of teacher and student talk time and to determine the characteristics of teachers and students during class interaction at SMAN 1 Lunyuk in the 2017/2018 academic year. The design of this study is a mixed method, using descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods or a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods were used to analyze data using Flander's theory and quantitative methods were used to determine the percentage of teacher and student talk time using the Flanders formula. Subjects numbered 30 students with 12 girls and 18 boys. The research data were analyzed by observation, recording, transcripts, coding, then the data were analyzed using the Flanders formula. The results show that asking is the most frequently used by speaking teachers. The percentage of teacher talk is (56.0%) and the percentage of student talk is (33.9%), while the percentage is silent/confused is 10.1%. This shows that teacher talk is the most dominant class interaction during observation. From these results, the researcher concluded that the interaction during the teaching and learning process involved teachers and students and the percentage of teacher and student talk time in class interaction was almost balanced and students were quite active in English class interactions.

Abstract

Based on observations, the speed of athletes’ kicks is still relatively low, resulting in less accurateexecution of the mawashi geri kick during matches. This study examines the effects of stepping zig-zag kick training and elastic kick training on the performance of the mawashi geri kick. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of stepping zig-zag kick training and elastic kick training on mawashi geri kicking performance. The research method used is an experimental method with a two-group pretest and posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 participants. The research instrument used was a kick speed measurement test. The results of the study showed an increase in kick speed, where the stepping zig-zag kick training obtained a t-value of 8.251 > 1.833, while the elastic kick training obtained a t-value of 9.701 > 1.833. The results also indicated that the improvement from stepping zig-zag kick training had a greater mean difference compared to elastic kick training
