Abstract

Grammar learning is very close to literary works. Unfortunately, the use of short stories as learning media is still rare. This research aims to develop short story-based Arabic syntax learning media. The method used in this research is development research using Thiagarajan's 4D model. This study involved 30 students at the Department of Arabic Language Education, Faculty of Language and Arts, State University of Jakarta, who were taken by purposive sampling. The research instruments used were documents and questionnaires. At the same time, the data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results showed that based on the analysis of the current needs, it is necessary to develop Arabic syntax learning media that encourages students to learn actively and is packaged in fictional story literary work. Based on the experts' assessment results, the developed short story can be used as a learning medium for material, presentation, and language.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model integrated with digital media in improving naḥwu (Arabic grammar) learning competence at the Arabic Language Education Program, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The TAI model combines individual learning with structured group collaboration and, in this study, is integrated with three main digital platforms: Educaplay, Aljazeera Learning, and Learning Management System (LMS). A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 25 second-semester students selected through purposive sampling. Statistical analysis showed a significant increase in the average scores from pretest (71.30) to posttest (89.40), with a paired sample t-test result of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The implementation of digital-based TAI positively impacted students’ understanding of syntactic structures, fostered active engagement, and strengthened both collaborative and independent learning. The integration of digital media enriched the learning process through visualization, interactivity, and authentic Arabic language resources. The findings suggest that the digital TAI model is a viable and innovative instructional strategy for naḥwu learning in higher education, aligning with the characteristics of 21st-century learners.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Fikih yang masih dominan menggunakan pendekatan konvensional dan berpusat pada guru telah menghambat pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran Fikih di MA Al Madinah Global School Diwek Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan guru Fikih dan siswa kelas XI sebagai subjek, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model PBL yang diterapkan melalui tiga tahapan utama perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi mampu mendorong siswa untuk berpikir analitis, menyampaikan argumen, dan menarik kesimpulan berbasis masalah kontekstual. Indikator berpikir kritis seperti kemampuan menganalisis, mensintesis, mengevaluasi, menyimpulkan, dan memecahkan masalah berkembang secara signifikan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran Fikih yang aktif, bermakna, dan relevan dengan kehidupan nyata siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasikan, menganalisis makna konseptual, dan menginterpretasikan fungsi utama penggunaan metafora dalam lirik lagu “Kupu-Kupu” yang dipopulerkan oleh Tiara Andini. Kajian ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk mengapresiasi aspek kesastraan dalam musik populer, tetapi juga untuk memahami bagaimana bahasa digunakan secara kreatif guna menyampaikan pengalaman emosional yang kompleks kepada khalayak luas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis, berfokus pada ungkapan-ungkapan metafora yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu tersebut. Instrumen utama dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri (human instrument) dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa simak dan catat. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode padan referensial untuk menjelaskan makna dan teori klasifikasi metafora yang dikemukakan oleh Ullmann. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lirik lagu ini kaya akan penggunaan metafora, yang dapat diklasifikasikan ke dalam empat jenis berbeda. Jenis yang paling dominan adalah metafora dari konkret ke abstrak, dengan total 12 temuan. Metafora ini berfungsi secara efektif untuk menerjemahkan konsep perasaan yang abstrak (seperti malu atau semangat) menjadi gambaran konkret yang lebih mudah dipahami dan dirasakan oleh pendengar, contohnya pada frasa “pipi merona” dan “jaga bara kau jadi apiku”. Selain itu, ditemukan pula metafora antropomorfik (2 temuan) yang memberi sifat manusia pada konsep cinta dalam “Wahai cinta beri pertanda”, metafora sinestetik (1 temuan) yang mencampurkan indra perabaan dan pendengaran pada “bisingkan dada”, serta metafora kehewanan (1 temuan) yang mencitrakan subjek laksana makhluk bersayap pada “jangan hentikan kepak sayapmu”. Penggunaan beragam metafora ini secara efektif membangun imajinasi, memperdalam makna, dan memperkaya nilai estetika lirik lagu.

Abstract

Etiquette is an essential aspect in the process of learning and education that is often overlooked in modern educational practices which tend to focus solely on cognitive achievements. In fact, in the tradition of classical scholarship, etiquette is the primary prerequisite in pursuing knowledge, even more important than mere mastery of the material. This article aims to deeply examine the urgency of etiquette as the fundamental foundation in the educational process, from both pedagogical perspectives and the spiritual values of Islam. This research uses literature study methods by examining various classical and contemporary educational literature. The results indicate that etiquette plays a crucial role in shaping attitudes of respect, discipline, and ethics in the interaction between teachers and students, as well as creating a conducive learning atmosphere that is full of blessings and character. Etiquette also proves to strengthen the intrinsic motivation of learners, and strengthen the positive emotional relationship between educators and learners. Therefore, the internalization of moral values must be a priority at every level of education, whether through the role modeling of teachers, integration into the curriculum, or habituation within the school environment. Education that only emphasizes intellectual aspects without moral values risks producing a generation that is academically intelligent but lacking in morals and ethics. Thus, moral values must be positioned as the main foundation in building a meaningful and sustainable learning process.

Abstract

The song Atouna el-Toufoule  popularized by Remi Bandali is a symbol of resistance and an expression of the pain of children who are victims of war. This study aims to reveal how the style of language in the song Atouna el-Toufoule  is used by the author as a form of artistic expression as well as social criticism. This study is a qualitative study with a descriptive analysis method. This study uses the theory of five levels of stylistic analysis by Syihabuddin Qalyubi. The results of this study include language styles based on the level of stylistic analysis, including: 1) al-mustawa al-sauti: repetition of the sounds kasrah and sukun at the end of a sentence, sawamit anfiyah (mim), sawamit infijariyah (ta marbuthah); 2) al-mustawa as-sharfi: use of the isim maf'ul form and writing words that do not comply with the rules of rasm; 3) al-mustawa al-nahwi: al-tikrar, istifham which deviates from its original meaning, 4) mustawa al-dalali: al-dalalah mu'jamiyah, al-dalalah siyaqiyah and also taraduf; 5) al-mustawa al-suwari: the use of tasybih, majaz, and harf nida

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas kasus pembunuhan dan perampokan yang terjadi di Pasuruan dengan pelaku berinisial M, yang termotivasi oleh rasa iri dan dengki terhadap kesuksesan usaha tetangganya. Kasus ini dianalisis menggunakan perspektif teori anomie dan teori strain yang dikemukakan oleh Emile Durkheim, Robert K. Merton, serta pengembangan selanjutnya oleh Robert Agnew dan Messner & Rosenfeld. Teori-teori tersebut menjelaskan bagaimana tekanan sosial, ekonomi, dan psikologis dapat mendorong individu melakukan penyimpangan sosial hingga tindakan kriminal. Ketegangan muncul akibat ketidaksesuaian antara tujuan yang ingin dicapai (kesuksesan ekonomi) dengan keterbatasan sarana yang tersedia untuk mencapainya secara legal. Selain itu, konsep deprivasi relatif juga digunakan untuk memahami perasaan ketertinggal yang dirasakan pelaku karena kesenjangan hasil usaha dengan korban. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pelaku mengalami tekanan emosional dan psikologis akibat ketimpangan sosial yang memicu tindakan kejahatan sebagai jalan yang ditempuh pelaku untuk mencapai tujuannya. Dengan demikian, teori strain memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap motif kejahatan yang dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi sosial dan psikologis dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

The novel Al-Lissu wa Al-Kilaab is one of the novels by Naguib Mahfouz containing the story of a prisoner who wants to take revenge on his best friend. The main character in this novel is Said Mahran who works as a thief with his wife and best friends, Ilish and Nabawiyya. This novel tells the theft carried out by them, namely Rauf and Said. Both are teachers and students who collaborated in the theft. However, in the middle of carrying out the action, Rauf suddenly called the police and informed him of the theft committed by Said. Said was arrested and imprisoned, not to mention his wife and co-workers who wanted to help him because they had worked together to arrest him. The conflict begins when Said comes out of prison and wants to take revenge on those who have betrayed him. Because of the feeling of anger and annoyance that rages in the chest, it shows the attitude of speech actions born from a person's psychological state. In this case, speech acts born due to psychological conditions were found in pragmatic studies, namely expressive illocution speech. The approach is more suitable for understanding the concept of expressive speech in the novel. Thus, this research discusses the form and function of expressive speech in the novel Al-Lissu wa Al-Kilaab.The objectives of this research are: first, to describe the form of expressive speech in the novel Al-lissu wa Al-Kilaab by Naguib Mahfouz. Second, describing the expressive function in the novel Al-Lissu wa Al-Kilaab by Nanguib Mahfouz. The research method used in this study is the descriptive analytical method. The data collection method carried out is by the Determinant Element Sorting Technique (PUP). The analysis method used in this study is the extra-lingual matching method. The result of this research is to describe the form and expressive function contained in the novel Al-Lissu wa Al-Kilaab by Naguib Mahfouz. In this study, three types of speech acts were found, namely literal direct speech, literal indirect speech, and non-literal indirect speech. The function of expressive speech in the novel Al-Lissu wa Al-Kilaab shows feelings of anger, confidence, sadness, hope, gratitude, complaining, and farewell.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concepts, steps, and practices of internalizing multicultural values in Religious Education using a qualitative case study approach. Participants include school principals, vice principals, religious education teachers, guidance counselors, and students. Data collection methods encompass observation, interviews, and documentation, with analysis following reduction stages, data display, verification, and conclusion drawing. The research concludes that internalizing multicultural values in Religious Education involves embedding them into an intrinsic part of students' identities. The process is executed through value transformation, value transactions, and trans-internalization, progressing from simple to complex stages. This internalization is facilitated through the curriculum, teaching methods, extracurricular activities, and a hidden curriculum. The results indicate that success in internalizing these values depends on a gradual process encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, ultimately fostering a multicultural pluralist personality among students through consistent socio-religious behavior.
