Abstract

This article studies Al-Fātiḥah, the first Surah of the Alquran. As the opening of the Alquran, by which the name indicates, Al-Fātiḥah represents the whole contents of the Holy Book, thus, it is also named as Ummu l-Kitāb. In addition to Prophetic traditions informing the fuction of the Surah as invocation, these facts can explain the reason why it is very close to Muslims’ life, and has deserved interpraters’ attention. Nevertheless, apart from this familiarity, the main problem to question in this small research is concerning the use of praise (to God) preceeding every invocation, as this Surat shows. By employing Rhetoric and Stylistic approaches, this study focuses on Surah al-Fātiḥah in regards with its aspects of phonetic, word forms, wordings, and word positioning in the structure of every single sentence, to be able to grasp the aesthetics of the Sūrah as well as the doctrines contained therein as ethical values. The results of the study show that Sūrah al-Fātiḥah poses high level of aesthetics, by employing various language styles such as, to mention some, anastrophe (taqdīm wa ta’khīr) and “enallage” (iltifāt). This Surah also contains lots of essence, and one of the most important in this regard is to be respectful during communication with the other.

Abstract

The Qur'an is addressed to all mankind, who respond differently in accepting it and believing in it. Therefore, oaths in the Quran are meant to dispel doubts and misunderstandings and make arguments and confirm news. This is in accordance with the nature of Arab society who are accustomed to swearing. This study aims to examine the oaths (qasam) contained in the Qur'an. This writing method is qualitative through literature review. The results of the research show that historically, revelation cannot be separated from the traditions of Arab society. Also the wisdom of the oath, can not be separated from the condition of the Arab nation at that time, which Historically, the oath is a hereditary tradition. They make oaths as a means of confirming an argument, confirming an order, or dispelling the doubts of an opponent. Al-Qur’an ditujukan kepada seluruh umat manusia, yang memberikan respons yang berbeda-beda dalam menerimanya dan mempercayainya. Oleh karena itu, sumpah dalam Al-Qur’an dimaksudkan untuk menghilangkan keraguan dan kesalahpahaman dan membuat argumen dan mengkonfirmasi berita. Ini sesuai dengan sifat masyarakat Arab yang terbiasa bersumpah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti sumpah-sumpah (qasam) yang terdapat dalam Al-Qur’an. Metode tulisan ini adalah kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan (literature review). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara historis, wahyu tidak dapat dipisahkan dari tradisi masyarakat Arab. Juga kebijaksanaan dari sumpah tersebut, tidak dapat dilepaskan dari kondisi bangsa Arab pada saat itu, yang Secara historis, sumpah adalah tradisi turun temurun. Mereka membuat sumpah sebagai sarana untuk menegaskan argumen, menegaskan perintah, atau menghilangkan keraguan dari lawan

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country, both ethnic, religious, cultural, regional languages from Sabang to Merauke. On the one hand, this diversity is a gift for the Indonesian nation, but if it is not handled wisely, these differences have the potential to become a source of conflict for this nation. This study aims to discuss the urgency of multicultural education in Indonesia which focuses on its characteristics and application in the educational environment. The results of the study show that multicultural education is a must so that people do not only know about the diversity that exists but also have a practical and positive attitude towards diversity. Therefore, this multicultural education must be instilled as early as possible to the next generation of our nation in order to maintain the unity of this nation amidst the differences that exist.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the method used by Imam ash-Shaukānī najis traditions in his book Nailul Auṭār because he is different from most scholars in this regard and the method used is a qualitative literature study with a content analysis approach and takhrij hadith. This study resulted in eight hadiths used by Imam ash-Shaukānī to support his opinion, and some of them are authentic hadiths and some are weak, but he explained his weakness and then he left. So with this the author finds seven methods used by Imam ash-Shaukānī to discuss these najis hadiths in the Nailul Auṭār book, namely al-Jam'u (collecting) these traditions, short mention it for some hadiths, when mention it he only quoted from ulamas before him, did not mention it hadith that had been issued by Imam Bukhari and Muslim, he was very concerned with ushul fiqh, he brought arguments from opponents of his opinion and he mentioned the differences that existed from hadith or fiqh or ushul fiqh.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a structural analysis of the novel Dima'un Fi Qasr al-Chamra by Ehab Farouk Hosny. This novel raises an important cultural story in the history of Islamic civilization in Spain. It tells the story of a beautiful woman from Egypt, named Sarah, an archaeologist who researches Islamic heritage buildings both in her own country and in other countries. It tells the history of Andalusia, now Spain, starting from discovering a map buried in one of the rooms in Sultan Hasan's mosque in Cairo. The map was a secret document of the Alhambra belonging to the great scientist Al Zahrawi (Albucasis), containing a chemical composition to treat cancer. This paper has two main objectives: the practical and theoretical objectives. The realistic goal is to reveal the intrinsic and coherent elements and the interrelationship between one part and another. Meanwhile, the academic goal is to discover a secret document belonging to el-Zahrawi, a scientist, containing a cancer drug's composition. To remind readers that the discovery of personal papers, in any case, should not be announced in public because it can be dangerous and will cause various problems in obtaining certain benefits and goals. The theory used is a structural theory, which focuses on literary works viewed as a unified and integrated structure. The technical method is the structural method, which works structurally by revealing and describing the intrinsic elements in "Dima'un Fi Qashril-Chamra" by Ehab Farouk Hosny and connecting the mutual relationships between the parts. This technique uses formalism representing literary works such as character, plot, motif, theme, and language. The method used in this research is library research. Library study is a technique of collecting data and information by examining written sources such as scientific journals, reference books, literature, etc., related to this discussion. Based on its nature, this research is classified as qualitative research using descriptive analysis techniques.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the strengthening of character education in madrasas. Character education is an essential theme in efforts to overcome social problems that often plague this nation. Character education is an alternative solution considered the most appropriate and must be applied in everyday life, including in madrasas. Madrasahs are seen as an influential place in efforts to form a child's positive personality after the family. Strengthening character education is a process of forming, transmitting, transforming and developing students' abilities to think, behave, and behave according to Pancasila values. Character education in madrasas has the function of selecting and sorting Indonesian culture and foreign cultures that are more civilized and respectable. As a manifestation of the National Movement for Mental Revolution (GNRM), namely changing patterns of thinking (mindset), attitude, and better behavior, religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and high integrity we must instill it through strengthening character education, especially in madrasas so that all students know, understand, and apply to all aspects of life whenever and wherever they are. All of this can be realized if all stakeholders are involved in overseeing, running, supervising and evaluating all of these processes so that it becomes a positive culture in madrasas.

Abstract

Language gives birth to beautiful literary works when composed with the right diction. Currently, many Arabic songs are viral on social media. The virality of Arabic songs is due to several factors, including music genres, arrangements, and expressions of feelings that contain language styles. Using a qualitative methodology, the researchers provided descriptive explanations for the discussion's outcomes. The read-note approach is then used to evaluate the acquired data. Specifically, by carefully reading and hearing the words to Qesset Hobb songs and comprehending the significance of each phrase. Then recording the majas found and categorizing them using Keraf's stylistic theory. Then, interpreting the meaning of the song lyrics to get a picture of the storyline and language style in it related to the data source, then drawing conclusions from the data that has been analyzed. According to the findings of this study, there are at least 13 different varieties of majas, separated into 9 rhetorical majas and 4 metaphorical. Overall, the song "Qesset Hobb" employs rhetorical devices such as exaggeration, litotes, pleonasm, alliteration, assonance, anastrophe, apostrophe, erotesis, and zeugma. Metaphors, personification, metonomia, and paronomasia are all examples of figurative language.

Abstract

The research discusses how the comparison of kitab kuning learning in Pesantren Al-Atiqiyah and Pesantren Falahul Ahkam. Kitab kuning learning is learning that is very influential on Arabic language skills and understanding of Islamic teachings. In addition, the learning of kitab kuning is very diverse, and a deep understanding is needed so that the teaching of kitab kuning can be more effective and efficient and maximize the results obtained. Therefore, this research focuses on learning the Kitab Kuning of Pesantren Al-Atiqiyah and Pesnatren Falahul Ahkam. This study aims to compare the methods and approaches of learning kitab kuning in two pesantren, namely Pesantren Al-Atiqiyah and Pesantren Falahul Ahkam. The kitab kuning, which is a traditional intellectual heritage in Islamic science, is the main focus of learning in these two educational institutions. This research focuses on the learning approach, teaching methods, and supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of learning kitab kuning. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The results showed differences in the approach to learning the kitab kuning between the two pesantren. Pesantren Al-Atiqiyah combines classical tradition with formal education, giving the impression of being flexible and open. Pesantren Falahul Ahkam shows a stronger emphasis on tradition in teaching methods, focusing on the Javanese language and the use of traditional methods. Differences in curriculum, the degree of flexibility of learning, the role of teachers, and students' interests contribute to shaping the different learning experiences in these two institutions. In addition, this study identified supporting and inhibiting factors in learning kitab kuning in both pesantren, including the availability of resources, teachers' qualifications, and students' motivation. In conclusion, an in-depth understanding of the different approaches to learning kitab kuning can provide valuable insights to improve the effectiveness of Islamic scholarly learning in pesantren.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the reasons why leadership determines victory in the Khandaq War, the values of leadership in the Khandaq War, and the contribution of leadership values in the Khandaq War in 627 AD with Islamic History teaching materials. This research is historical research. Sources of data used are primary sources and secondary sources. The main source in this research is the Al-Qur'an. Secondary sources in this study are hadiths and books that are relevant to the subject of research. Data collection in this study was collected using library research techniques and documentation techniques. Data analysis in this study used historical analysis, descriptive analysis and content analysis. The stages of the research procedure consist of heuristics, criticism (both internal and external), interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that the Battle of Khandaq was one of the wars won by the Muslims because the Prophet as a military leader was able to deal with changes in the war situation quickly and precisely. Then, there are leadership values in the Khandaq War consisting of the values of God, trust and responsibility, justice, firmness, and visionary. In addition, this historical event has relevance to Islamic history teaching materials, especially material about the existence of Islam during the time of the Prophet Muhammad in Medina.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of social interaction in the history of hadith transmission and understanding in Islamic societies. This study is often called the sociology of hadith. The sociology of hadith involves the study of social relationships, social structures, and social dynamics that influence the collection, transmission, and interpretation of hadith. The research method used is a literature study approach by collecting and analyzing various relevant sources including books, articles, and related research. The research involved exploring the sociological aspects of the hadith tradition such as the social factors that influence the transmission of hadith, the role of social groups in the interpretation of hadith, and the social dynamics in the establishment of hadith authority. The results show that the sociology of hadith plays an important role in understanding the complex social relationships involved in the transmission and understanding of hadith. Factors such as social, cultural, political and economic contexts play a role in influencing the interpretation and reception of hadith by the people. In addition, social groups such as scholars, lay people and religious institutions also play a significant role in shaping the authority of the hadith and determining its influence in society. This study also reveals the importance of the sociological study of hadith in the context of social change and the development of modern society. Social change, globalization and the challenges of the times affect how hadith are understood, accepted and applied in daily life. Therefore, this study focused on how the sociology of hadith approach can provide valuable insights in facing these challenges. In conclusion, an understanding of the sociology of hadith is essential in understanding the social dynamics of the hadith tradition. This study contributes to broadening the academic horizon on the role of social interaction in the transmission and understanding of hadith as well as providing a more comprehensive understanding of the social complexities involved in the hadith tradition.
