Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk mengembalikan kekencangan kulit adalah menggunakan sediaan kosmetik yang mengandung antioksidan. Kandungan yang terdapat dalam kunyit dan madu diketahui memiliki manfaat sebagai antioksidan. Salah satu sedian kosmetik yang dapat meningkatkan kekencangan kulit adalah sediaan masker wajah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui formula masker gel peel off ekstrak rimpang kunyit dengan kombinasi madu yang mempunyai sifat fisik yang baik dan untuk mengethaui efektivitasnya dalam mengencangkan kulit wajah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Sediaan masker gel peel off dibuat 3 formula dengan konsentrasi ekstrak kunyit dan madu yang berbeda yaitu F1 (1% : 4%), F2 (2% : 2%) dan F3 (4% : 1%). Tahapan prosedur dalam penelitian ini meliputi determinasi tanaman, penyedian sampel, pembuatan simplisia rimpang kunyit, pembuatan ekstrak rimpang kunyit, formulasi masker gel peel off, evaluasi sifat fisik, uji stabilitas, uji hedonik dan uji efektivitas sediaan dalam mengencangkan kulit. Hasil pengujian sifat fisik dan uji stabilitas menunjukkan bahwa sediaan masker ekstrak rimpang kunyit dengan kombinasi madu pada F1,F2 dan F3 menunjukkan hasil yang berada pada rentang yang sesuai dengan parameter dan stabil selama penyimpanan. Dari hasil uji hedonik, F1 lebih disukai panelis dibandingkan dengan formula lain, F1 efektif dalam meningkatkan kekencangan kulit wajah tiap minggu selama pemakaian empat minggu ditandai dengan peningkatan persentase kekencangan kulit setiap kali pemakaian.

Abstract

The pioneering of the ABDI reading house (Asri, Baca and Inspirasi) was based on the low interest in reading students' books. Mendalo Indah Village, which is a village close to Jambi University, does not yet have a reading house. In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic has overwhelmed parents of students to teach their children, especially with relatively low mastery of technology. ABDI Reading House, as a form of student and lecturer concern for the surrounding environment, is here to provide solutions to the problems of reading interest and the needs of parents for their children's learning assistance. This program is implemented by a community service team from the Pharmacy Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in collaboration with lecturers. The Village Head of Mendalo Indah provides a house to be used as a reading house and is supported by the provision of reading houses by funding from Jambi University through the Village Development and Empowerment Holistic Program (PHP2D). Learning assistance is carried out every day offline according to community demand by establishing health protocols and learning is carried out interactively with the play while learning method. This dedication has given birth to reading houses with various facilities and an increase in the number of visits to reading houses. The community feels very helped by the presence of the ABDI reading house in Mendalo Indah Village.

Abstract

Tonic is a substance that can increase the bodys defense system. The stimulant effect that is intertwined with the tonic effect is carried out by the central nervous system. Pecut kuda leaf and bases are useful as stimulants and tonics. This research aims to determine the tonicum effect of ethanolic extract pecut kuda leaf in mice. This was an experimental study with completely randomized group design, using male white mice and divided into five namely two control groups (K- given Na CMC 0,5% and K+ given 13 mg caffeine) and three treatment groups (ethanolic axtract of pecut kuda with a dose 50, 100 and 200 mg/kgBW) and each treatment group was repeated 5 times. The methods used were natatory exhaustion test, hanging test and sleep induction test for the parameters observed were the mice'defense on the surface of the water, the duration of the mice endurance on the hanging device and the time the mice fell asleep.The results of the observation data using Duncan's One Way ANNOVA test. The results showed that the pecut kuda leaf extract was effective against the tonic effect test at doses of 50, 100, 200 mg/kgBW. It can be said that pecut kuda leaf extract at a dose of 200 mg/kgBW has almost the same effect as K+ (13mg caffeine).
