Abstract

Berpikir kreatif dalam matematika berperan penting dalam memecahkan masalah kompleks, sementara motivasi belajar mempengaruhi bagaimana siswa menghadapi tantangan tersebut. Pendekatan open-ended problem diyakini dapat meningkatkan kedua aspek ini dibandingkan dengan pendekatan konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas pendekatan open-ended problem dan pendekatan konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan tingkat motivasi belajar yang berbeda. Desain penelitian menggunakan eksperimen dengan sampel dipilih secara random dari siswa kelas V di beberapa sekolah. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA 2x2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan open-ended problem memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajarkan secara konvensional. Siswa dengan motivasi belajar tinggi menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dalam pendekatan open-ended problem dibandingkan pendekatan konvensional, demikian pula siswa dengan motivasi rendah. Namun, tidak ditemukan interaksi signifikan antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Hasil ini memberikan implikasi untuk mendesain pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menstimulus pengembangan kurikulum yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah secara kreatif.

Abstract

Background: The integration of digital media with student-centered learning approaches is crucial for enhancing education quality in the 21st century. However, geography instruction at SMA Negeri 1 Babalan still predominantly relies on textbooks and lacks interactive learning resources. This limitation reduces student engagement and leads to less-than-optimal learning outcomes.Aims: This study aimed to develop a valid, practical, and effective Geography E-Module based on the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model for Grade X students. The module focused on the lithosphere topic and was designed to improve student learning outcomes.Methods: The research employed the ADDIE development model, consisting of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection involved expert validations, teacher and student questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-tests, and N-Gain calculations.Result: The developed E-Module achieved high validation scores: 98% for content, 87% for media, and 86% for instructional design. The practicality rating reached 94.45%. A statistically significant improvement was found in the experimental group's learning outcomes compared to the control group (t = 2.37 > t-table = 1.670). The N-Gain score of 0.41 indicated a moderate level of effectiveness in enhancing student performance.Conclusion: The Project-Based Learning-based Geography E-Module is valid, practical, and effective in supporting student-centered learning. It successfully enhances student engagement and learning outcomes, making it a valuable instructional resource for senior high school geography education.

Abstract

Background: In the digital age, English language instruction requires innovative approaches to improve student engagement and outcomes. Traditional teaching methods often fail to foster motivation and active participation, particularly in reading comprehension.Aims: This study focuses on students' feedback on the developed product an interactive learning medium using the Genially platform, integrated with a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach, without covering the full product development process or evaluating its impact on reading comprehension.Methods: A qualitative descriptive method was employed, focusing on student perceptions of the developed media. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and open-ended responses from students at SMP Negeri 3 Pantai Labu. The analysis used descriptive statistics and thematic categorization to evaluate aspects such as content quality, usability, design, and interactivity.Result: Findings showed consistently high ratings across all evaluation aspects, with an overall average score of 0.94. Students reported increased motivation, better comprehension, and a more enjoyable learning experience. The Genially-based media was perceived as visually appealing, user-friendly, and effective in facilitating independent and collaborative learning through real-world problem contexts.Conclusion: The integration of Genially and PBL in English instruction proved to be feasible, practical, and positively received by students. It offers a promising alternative to conventional methods and supports a more engaging, student-centered learning environment.

Abstract

The integration of computational thinking into formal education curricula has become essential as information and communication technology continues to transform educational paradigms. This study addresses a significant challenge in computer science education, where 58% of junior high school students fail to achieve minimum learning standards in programming subjects. Objective this study to develop and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of visual programming learning media using Scratch 3.0 to enhance academic achievement in computer science education among seventh-grade students. This research employed a research and development approach using a 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Dissemination) conducted at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Junior High School over two months. The study involved comprehensive validation by three expert validators and implementation across three phases: a small group (n=5), a medium group (n=15), and field testing (n=30). The data collected included expert validation questionnaires, pre- and posttest assessments, and perception surveys, which were analyzed via descriptive statistics and t tests. Expert validation demonstrated high feasibility, with material validation scoring of 87%, media validation scoring of 83.5%, and instructional design validation scoring of 84.5%, all of which were categorized as "Very Good." The effectiveness evaluation revealed an overall effectiveness of 92.73% in the "very good" category. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences between the experimental and control groups (t-stat = 5.06, p < 0.001), with the experimental group achieving a mean score of 77.00 compared with 70.60 for the control group. Scratch 3.0-based visual programming learning media is feasible and effective for enhancing computer science learning outcomes, demonstrating superior performance compared with conventional teaching methods in junior high school education.

Abstract

Integrated STEM-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is an instructional approach designed by teachers to actively engage students in learning activities, aiming to enhance their creative thinking skills and stimulate the exploration of new ideas. This study aimed to analyze the feasibility, effectiveness, and practicality of STEM-integrated PjBL learning devices in improving the creative thinking skills of fourth-grade students at Santo Paulus Martubung Elementary School, Medan. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method. The findings indicated that the developed learning devices significantly improved students' creative thinking skills, as evidenced by an average n-gain score of 0.49, which falls into the moderate improvement category. Additionally, the devices proved effective in enhancing students' scientific literacy, with an average score of 0.64, also categorized as a moderate increase. The observed improvements included greater interest in science and technology, active participation in discovery-based activities (practices and projects), and a stronger sense of responsibility in managing natural resources and the surrounding environment. Therefore, the STEM-integrated PjBL learning devices are considered feasible, effective, and practical for use in primary education, supporting contextual learning that fosters students’ creative thinking and scientific literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan mengenai pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) yang diintegrasikan dengan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dan tingkat motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, serta adanya interaksi di antara keduanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) berbentuk faktorial 2×2. Sampel terdiri dari 52 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 084081 Kota Sibolga yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok: kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model PjBL dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes esai untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan angket untuk mengukur motivasi belajar. Validitas isi instrumen dikonsultasikan dengan ahli dan diuji melalui analisis korelasi item-total, sedangkan reliabilitas diuji menggunakan koefisien Cronbach’s Alpha dengan hasil yang menunjukkan kategori tinggi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji ANAVA dua jalur dengan bantuan SPSS versi 28. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) model pembelajaran PjBL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa; (2) motivasi belajar juga memberikan pengaruh signifikan; dan (3) terdapat interaksi signifikan antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar. Siswa dengan motivasi tinggi yang mengikuti pembelajaran PjBL menunjukkan skor tertinggi dalam kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PjBL yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai P5 efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif, khususnya bagi siswa dengan motivasi belajar tinggi. Oleh karena itu, model ini direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran inovatif dalam mendukung pencapaian kompetensi abad ke-21 di jenjang sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a digital literacy-based e-module for the Informatics subject to improve student learning outcomes at MTsN 3 Langkat. The developed module aims to: (1) Determine the feasibility of the e-module; (2) Determine the practicality of the e-module; (3) Determine the effectiveness of the e-module; (4) Identify the differences in student learning outcomes between those who use the digital literacy-based e-learning module and those who use conventional modules; (5) Identify differences in learning outcomes based on visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles; and (6) Examine the interaction between the digital literacy-based e-learning module and learning styles in influencing student learning outcomes. The population of this study includes all eighth-grade students at MTsN 3 Langkat. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The research design employed is a 2x3 factorial design, and the data analysis technique used is two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). This study obtained the results of the e-module which was feasible, practical, effective, there were differences in learning outcomes in the module groups, learning styles and there was interaction.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effects of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategy and learning styles on Indonesian language learning outcomes of 4th grade students at SDN 02 Cupak Tangah,Pauh District, Padang City. The research employed a quantitative experimental approach with a 2×2 factorial design, involving 54 students divided into two groups: an experimental group using PBL strategy (28 students) and a control group using conventional strategy (26 students). Based onlearning styles, there were 33 students with visual learning style and 21 students with auditory learning style. The research instruments consisted of Indonesian language learning achievement tests andlearning style questionnaires. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA with significance level α =0.05. The research findings indicated that: (1) there was a highly significant effect of PBL learning strategy on Indonesian language learning outcomes (F = 121.371, p < 0.001), with the PBL group mean score (93.46) being 7.73 points higher than the conventional group (85.81); (2) there was no significant effect of learning styles on Indonesian language learning outcomes (F = 0.541, p = 0.466),with the mean difference between visual (89.55) and auditory (90.14) learning styles being only 0.59points; (3) there was no significant interaction between PBL learning strategy and learning styles on Indonesian language learning outcomes (F = 0.272, p = 0.604). Prerequisite tests showed that the datawere normally distributed (Kolmogorov-Smirnov p = 0.200) and had homogeneous variance (Levene's test p = 0.110).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to: Examine how fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2, Kualuh Hulu District, learned mathematics using scientific techniques aided by audiovisual technology. People living in Kualuh Hulu Regency's SD Negeri Region 2.  The number of schools is 63 schools. The research sample was 60 students of SD Negeri No. 112279 Aek. A sample of 30 students were taught using a scientific learning approach (Experiment/A1) with video assistance, and 30 students were taught using a contextual learning approach (Control/A2) without video assistance. The research instruments are tests and questionnaires to differentiate student motivation. This research uses a 2 x factorial design. The research findings passed the homogeneity and normality tests which are prerequisites for analysis. Hypotheses can be tested using Two Way Analysis of Variance, often known as Two Way Anova. The study concludes that a scientific strategy using video media influences students' learning results in mathematics at SD Negeri Region 2 Kualuh Hulu Regency.
