Abstract

Basic life support is the initial treatment for victims of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest. Basic life support includes several skills, namely recognizing sudden cardiac arrest, asking for help immediately, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and even in some countries the use of AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) has been introduced. This community service activity aims to improve the ability of Tri's Maros Health Vocational School students to simulate the implementation of basic life support. Participants who took part in this activity were very enthusiastic about participating in the simulation activity of implementing basic life support. The results of community service activities show that the majority of students' knowledge before carrying out the basic life support simulation is poor, after carrying out the basic life support simulation the majority of their knowledge is good, the majority of students' skills before carrying out the basic life support simulation are lacking. It is hoped that the management of Tri's Maros Health Vocational School will carry out regular basic life support training plans, provide tools and materials such as CPR pantoms for babies, children and adults for students to use to practice basic life support actions in order to increase students' knowledge in providing basic life support to patients in emergency conditions.

Abstract

Fracture is defined as a broken bone caused by trauma or physical force, and can occur due to excessive pressure compared to the bone's ability to withstand pressure. Injuries due to accidents in the school environment generally occur in the musculoskeletal system and must be treated quickly and appropriately. If not, it will cause more severe injuries and can trigger bleeding. To prevent injury to the musculoskeletal system, splint bandages are needed through Education. The purpose of this Community Service is to Assist and Improve Students' Knowledge About Bone Fractures with Simulation and as a learning that can determine the level of success of students in carrying out cardiopulmonary respiratory training in improving knowledge and skills. The health education method on fracture handling simulations so that students are able to make efforts to prevent disability and complications due to fractures and enable students to carry out initial examinations and initial treatment for fracture victims. The results of this activity received a good response from students as the target of community service activities. The conclusion that the implementation of community service followed by students showed an increase from sufficient knowledge to good knowledge. However, there needs to be monitoring and providing other materials so that it can motivate students to be more active and know about emergency handling.

Abstract

Early mobilization is a series of light activities carried out after surgery starting in bed until being able to get out of bed, mobilize to the bathroom and walk out of the bathroom. Advances in intensive care allow more patients to survive acute critical illness. The use of mechanical ventilation is one of the advances in the care of critically ill patients that can have a negative impact on long-term use. The aim is to provide information about the benefits and application of early mobilization in patients undergoing treatment in the ICU and using mechanical ventilation. Results: early mobilization has an effect on physiological responses, reduces delirium scores, reduces the length of use of mechanical ventilation, reduces length of stay in the ICU and hospital and reduces treatment costs, and prevents VAP. One of the obstacles to early mobilization is the mindset of ICU staff. The conclusion is that early mobilization is one of the items for ICU patients and what hinders its implementation is the mindset of the ICU staff.

Abstract

Mobilization is an independent action for a nurse in carrying out nursing care for post-surgical patients. Many benefits can be achieved from early postoperative mobilization exercises, including increasing the speed of breathing depth, increasing circulation, increasing urination and metabolism. Laparotomy is an action involving the abdominal cavity that can be performed with open surgery. This research aims a. maintain body functions and prevent deterioration and restore the range of motion of certain activities so that sufferers can return to normal or at least be able to meet their daily needs. b. Streamlining blood circulation. c. helps breathing to become strong for and to determine the effect of early mobilization on intestinal peristalsis in postoperative laparotomy patients in the Inpatient Room of the Nene Mallomo Regional General Hospital. The research design used in this study was a quasi-experimental design: non-equivalent control group design. This research was carried out by providing intervention in the form of giving early mobilization. While the control group was not given any treatment by the researchers apart from observing intestinal peristalsis. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling method with a total sample of 30 people consisting of a control group and a treatment group of 15 people each, then the results were tested by means of the Independent Sample T-Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of this study found that changes in intestinal peristalsis in postoperative laparotomy patients in the Inpatient Room of the Nene Mallomo Regional General Hospital in the group given early mobilization (treatment group) averaged 11.200 (±0.262), changes in intestinal peristalsis in postoperative laparotomy patients in the Inpatient Room of the Nene Mallomo Regional General Hospital in the control group the average was 1.533 (± 0.723), and there was an effect of early mobilization on changes in intestinal peristalsis in postoperative laparotomy patients in the Inpatient Room of the Nene Mallomo Regional General Hospital (p=0.001 ). The conclusion is that early mobilization can increase intestinal peristalsis in post-laparotomy patients in the Inpatient Room of the Nene Mallomo Regional General Hospital so that it is expected that health workers will continue to carry out early mobilization in post-laparotomy patients and in post-laparotomy patients as early as possible to speed up the recovery process. function of the patient's digestive system.

Abstract

Hemodialysis is carried out with the help of a dialyzer machine, where hemodialysis can reduce the risk of damage to vital organs due to the accumulation of toxic substances. The hemodialysis process is carried out permanently throughout the patient's life, usually 3 to 4 hours of treatment 2 days a week (Umami et al., 2019). Chronic kidney failure patients who undergo hemodialysis therapy for a long period of time will experience various physical and psychosocial problems. Psychosocial problems faced include anxiety, depression, social isolation, loneliness, helplessness and hopelessness. Chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy must have adaptive coping mechanisms to deal with anxiety. (Siwi et al., 2020). The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between coping mechanisms and the level of depression in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at Permata Medika Hospital Semarang. This type of research uses correlative descriptive with a sample size of 30 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted in the hemodialysis room at Permata Medika Hospital, Semarang. Based on the results of the Spearman Rank statistical test, a P value of 0.009 was obtained (P value <? (0.05)), which means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there is a relationship between coping mechanisms and anxiety levels in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis in Permata Medika Hospital Semarang
