Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan natara faktor sosial ekonomi dan kinerja usahatani serta kontribusinya terhadap pemenuhan pengaluaran rumah tangga petani padi di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Survei melibatkan 258 responden yang dipilih secara acak di empat kecamatan produsen padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas petani mengelola lahan sempit, yang meyebabkan rendahnya efisiensi dan profitabilitas usahatani akibat keterbatasan skala ekonomi. Struktur usia petani yang didomonasi kelompok usia tua (>40 tahun) dan tingkat pendidikan yang rendah menjadi penghambat adopsi teknologi dan inovasi. Kontribusi usahatani terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan rumah tangga masih terbatas, terutama bagi petani dengan lahan kecil. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya kebijakan redistribusi lahan, peningkatan akses terhadap teknologi, pelatihan pertanian, dan regenerasi petani muda untuk memperkuat keberlanjutan sektor pertanian.Kata kunci: usahatani padi, faktor sosial ekonomi, efisiensi, profitabilitas, keberlanjutan.AbstractThis study aims to anlalyze the relatinship between socio-economic factors and farm performance, as well as their contribution to meeting household expenditures among paddy farmers in Tasikmalaya Regency. The survey involved 258 randomly selected respondents from four rice-producing districts. The findings reveal that the majority of farmers operate on small plots of land, resulting in low farming efficiency and profitability due to limited economies of scale. The age structure of farmers, dominated by those over 40 years old, and the low level of education hinder the adoption of technology and innovations. The contribution of rice farming to meeting household needs remains limited, particularly for farmers with small landholdings. These findings highlight the need for policies focusing onland redistribution, improved access to technology, agricultural training, and the regeneration of younger farmers to enhance the sustainability of the agricultural sector.Keywords: paddy farming, socio-economic factors, efficiency, profitability, sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership style and organizational commitment on employee performance with the intervening variable of organizational climate at Budi Agung Pati General Hospital. The variables of this study are transformational leadership style, organizational commitment, organizational climate, and employee performance. This research is a study using a quantitative approach. This type of research is associative research or research that examines the influence between variables. The number of research samples taken was 220 respondents from a population of 281 RSU Budi Agung Pati employees. Sampling using probability sampling technique with simple random sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. The results of this study are as follows: transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on organizational climate, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on organizational climate and organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper is a horticultural commodity that affects the inflation rate. This study aims to determine the value chain and value added to chili commodities in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, so that potential increases and value distribution in the cayenne pepper marketing chain can be mapped. Primary data was obtained through semi-structured interviews conducted with actors involved in the cayenne pepper supply chain, which were traced using the Rapid Market Appraisal technique. Value chain analysis is performed to calculate added value at each level of supply chain actors. The results of the analysis show that in general there are 4 lines in the supply chain for cayenne pepper before it reaches the final consumer, namely farmers, collectors, wholesalers and retailers. In this chain, farmers gain the largest proportion of added value compared to other actors.

Abstract

Green revolution have made many changes to traditional agriculture from prioritizing local inputs to becoming dependent on high-cost external input. Various environmental, social and economic damages are unavoidable in these changes. This paper aimed to examine traditional agricultural practices that are still being implemented and how its impact socially and economically. The method is a quantitative design by measuring the farmers behavior in Mekarjaya Village, Kiarapedes District, Purwakarta Regency. Measurements were made with a Likert scale and analyzed using Rasch modeling. The findings of this study indicate that there has been a change in farmer behavior from traditional to modern agricultural practices, which is triggered by significant differences in productivity. The traditional agricultural practices that are still being done are only traditions or rituals that do not affect aspects of rice production. Socio-economically, impact of these changes is an increase in the level of vulnerability of rice due to high dependency and a slowly degraded environment. Farmers' indogenous knowledge has been depreciated by modern knowledge and practices that are highly dependent on external resources. The positive impact of modern agriculture has consequences for a high vulnerability to environmental and economic risks faced by farmers.

Abstract

Partnerships in the agricultural sector should provide benefits for the partnering parties, especially farmers with small-scale farming conditions that have limited capital, narrow land tenure, and use of simple agricultural tools. This study aims to describe the pattern of partnerships that have been established between companies and plasma farmers in Ciwidey District, Bandung Regency, and to find out the benefits that plasma farmers and companies receive after carrying out partnership activities, especially in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative design with a case study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interview techniques conducted with key informants consisting of partner farmers and company representatives. The results of this study indicate that the two parties use the plasma nucleus pattern partnership system, their conditions are better after establishing a partnership relationship because they can increase production and increase income for the company and welfare for partner farmers. In addition, there are other benefits to be gained from this partnership, namely networking for farmers and companies to increase production volume by building relationships in several regions.

Abstract

The increasing habit of consuming high-fat foods and a sedentary lifestyle increases the incidence of hepatic steatosis. There are currently no approved medical drugs to prevent and treat steatosis. The leaves and stems of the ciplukan plant (Physalis Angulata (L.)) are rich in flavonoid compounds and phenolic acids which have preventive and curative effects on steatosis. This research aimed to determine the impact of ciplukan leaves and stems extract on the severity of steatosis in the liver of Wistar rats induced by egg yolk and propylthiouracil. This research consisted of four groups: first group induced by egg yolk and propylthiouracil for six weeks (n=7), second group induced egg yolk and propylthiouracil plus simvastatin 0.18 mg/200 gBW for six weeks (n=7), third group induced by egg yolk and propylthiouracil plus ciplukan extract 400 mg/kgBW for six weeks (n=7), fourth group induced by egg yolk and propylthiouracil plus ciplukan extract 800 mg/kgBW for six weeks (n=7). The severity of steatosis was determined based on histopathological observations by an anatomical pathology specialist. The first group had four preparations with moderate degree of steatosis. The second group had three preparations with moderate degree of steatosis. The third group had two preparations with moderate degree of steatosis. The fourth group had two preparations with moderate degree of steatosis. The statistical test results showed no significant difference in severity between the treatment groups (p=0.692). The administration of ciplukan leaves and stems extract can prevent a decrease in high-density lipoprotein levels in Wistar rats induced by egg yolk and propylthiouracil. However, no significant influence was found on the severity of hepatic steatosis.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPertanian hidroponik menjadi alternatif strategis dalam menjawab tantangan keterbatasan lahan, perubahan iklim, dan urbanisasi yang dihadapi sektor pertanian konvensional di wilayah perkotaan. StrawHat Integrated Green Farming Bandung merupakan pelaku usaha hidroponik yang mengusung konsep eduwisata dan pertanian terpadu berbasis farm to table. Meskipun menawarkan produk berkualitas dan pengalaman konsumen yang unik, usaha ini menghadapi stagnasi pasar serta tantangan dalam aspek pemasaran digital dan distribusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang tepat bagi StrawHat melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik analisis yang digunakan meliputi analisis SWOT, Matriks IE, dan Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa StrawHat memiliki kekuatan internal yang signifikan, terutama pada loyalitas komunitas, kualitas produk, dan integrasi eduwisata. Strategi prioritas berdasarkan nilai Total Attractiveness Score (TAS) tertinggi adalah penguatan komunitas dan pengemasan konsep eduwisata yang terintegrasi dengan dukungan digital marketing. Sementara itu, strategi jangka menengah meliputi pelatihan pemasaran digital dan perekrutan tenaga muda, sedangkan strategi jangka panjang diarahkan pada pengembangan kemasan dan konten edukatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi pertumbuhan dengan pendekatan bertahap dan berfokus pada penguatan internal serta pemanfaatan peluang eksternal merupakan langkah optimal untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan StrawHat Integrated Green Farming di pasar hidroponik perkotaan. ABSTRACTHydroponic farming has emerged as a strategic alternative to address the challenges of limited land, climate change, and urbanization faced by conventional agriculture in urban areas. StrawHat Integrated Green Farming Bandung is a hydroponic agribusiness that promotes an integrated "farm-to-table" model and edutourism-based agriculture. Despite offering high-quality products and a unique consumer experience, the business faces market stagnation and challenges in digital marketing and distribution. This study aims to identify and formulate appropriate marketing strategies for StrawHat using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. The analysis techniques employed include SWOT analysis, the IE Matrix, and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results reveal that StrawHat possesses significant internal strengths, particularly in community loyalty, product quality, and edutourism integration. The top-priority strategy, based on the highest Total Attractiveness Score (TAS), is strengthening the customer community and enhancing the edutourism concept through digital marketing support. Medium-term strategies include digital marketing training and the recruitment of young personnel, while long-term strategies focus on packaging development and educational content. The study concludes that a growth strategy through a phased approach, emphasizing internal reinforcement and optimal use of external opportunities, is the most effective path to enhancing competitiveness and sustainability of StrawHat Integrated Green Farming in the urban hydroponic market.

Abstract

Diversification of livelihood is a commonly strategy apllied by rural communities for coping with economic and environmental pressures in poverty reduction. The poverty rate of rice smallholder is the highest compared to other sub-sectors. In this paper, we have explored and simulated smallholders households improving their welfare through non-rice additional income through livestock. Qualitatively-inductive exploration was held in Gabuswetan, Indramayu, West Java. Meanwhile, the quantitatively-deductive simulation is developed using system dynamics modeling. Analysis showed that high-value livelihoods through livestock can smallholders income and welfare. But, improving household welfare requires a long yearly delay because it is limited by the livestock rearing cacpacity and livestock purchasing and selling ability. During delay process, smallholders welfare have been decreased because of their economic resources are spent  a lot in livestock purchasing. However, this delay process can be shortened by speeding up of livestock buying and selling turnover and increasing livestock capacity that being kept.

Abstract

Jamu, a traditional Indonesian beverage, embodies local wisdom that warrants preservation. The current emphasis should be placed on the younger generation, particularly Generation Z, by herbal medicine enterprises, as they represent significant potential for the industry. However, introducing herbal medicine as a healthy lifestyle choice for Gen Z proves challenging. Hence, this research aims to identify factors influencing Gen Z’s decision-making regarding herbal medicine consumption. By doing so, it seeks to devise effective marketing strategies tailored to Gen Z consumers. The study was conducted at PT. Bhineka Rahsa Nusantara in Bandung City, utilized a quantitative research design. Data collection involved distributing questionnaires to 61 Gen Z consumers and employing path analysis using Smart-PLS4 for statistical analysis. The findings reveal that consumer behavior factors, including cultural, social, and personality factors, significantly influence purchasing decisions. These factors collectively account for 64% of the influence, while the remaining 36% is attributed to other unexamined factors. Among these factors, cultural considerations emerge as the most influential, affecting Gen Z’s purchasing decisions by 27,29%, followed by social factors at 18,6%, and personality factors at 18,07%.

Abstract

IKM Quilla Herbal Indonesia Sejahtera is a herbal company specializing in the production of sacha inchi oil derived from processed sacha inchi. However, the sales of sacha inchi oil within the company have shown instability and tended to stagnate between 2022 and 2023. Therefore, it is imperative to pinpoint the underlying cause to devise an effective marketing strategy aimed at boosting the sales of sacha inchi oil products. The research employed qualitative method with a case study technique. Primary and secondary data were gathered through observation, interviews involving key informants including company personnel and managers. Data were analyzed by using Strength, Weakness, Opportunity & Threat (SWOT) analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis. The research findings reveal the existence of eight alternative strategies: 1) Implementing monthly evaluations coupled with data analysis, 2) Collaborating with health experts, 3) Leveraging connections with governmental bodies and universities, 4) Engaging in direct marketing initiatives, 5) Harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI), 6) Enhancing workforce capabilities, 7) Optimizing content and targeting social media, and 8) Forming strategic partnerships. Among these alternatives, the priority strategy with the highest value is conducting monthly evaluations coupled with data analysis.
