Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis resepsi audiens terhadap pandangan surogasi di dalam film Dear Jo: Almost is Never Enough. Film ini menyajikan perspektif yang unik mengenai isu surogasi, yakni melalui cerita karakter utama yang menghadapi tekanan emosional dalam menjalani peran sebagai ibu pengganti. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis resepsi dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang melibatkan wawancara secara mendalam dengan audiens film dari berbagai latar belakang sosial dan usia. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teori resepsi Stuart Hall, yang memetakan respon audiens dalam tiga posisi utama yakni: dominan, negoisasi, dan oposisi. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya akan menunjukan bahwa audiens memiliki pandangan yang beragam terhadap isu surogasi dalam film, dimana beberapa melihatnya sebagai tindakan altruistik, sementara audiens lainnya mempertanyakan aspek moral dan dampaknya terhadap hubungan sebuah keluarga.

Abstract

Poverty is a complex problem that has a broad impact on various aspects of life, such as health, education and family welfare. This research aims to explore the role of the Surabaya Population Control, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (DP3A) Department in overcoming poverty through development communication and group communication approaches. Using descriptive qualitative methods and in-depth interviews, this research found that DP3A has implemented three main programs: School for Great Parents (SOTH), School for the Elderly Resilient (SELANTANG), and Efforts to Increase Acceptor Family Income (UPPKA). These three programs function as a means to convey development messages to the people of Surabaya through training, outreach and mentoring. SOTH provides education about good parenting patterns to parents, SELANTANG empowers the elderly to remain active and productive, while UPPKA helps families increase their income through entrepreneurship training. The research results show that the group communication strategies implemented by DP3A, such as interactive discussions and training, are effective in conveying personal and in-depth information, thereby improving family welfare and empowering people to get out of poverty.

Abstract

Marketing mix is ​​an effort to convey messages to the public, especially consumers, regarding the existence of a product on the market. This research examines the marketing strategy carried out by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer using qualitative research methods and integrated interviews with the Owner, Project Manager and Marketing Manager of Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. The purpose of this research is to determine the marketing strategy (marketing mix) carried out by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. The results of this research show that the products offered by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer are wedding organization service products for both modern and traditional weddings. The prices offered by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer start from IDR 15,000,000, and can be adjusted to the client's needs. Social Media is the spearhead of promotion for Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. Kasmaran Wedding Organizer was founded in Pacitan Regency because Pacitan Regency is a strategic place for the wedding organizer business. The recruitment process of the Kasmaran Organizer Crew is carried out quite selectively so that it can boost the work process and marketing process of the Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. The process of establishing Kasmaran Wedding Organizer was initially only a main crew but now has many crew. Instagram and promotional brochures are physical evidence of the Kasmaran Wedding Organizer marketing process. The strength of Kasmaran Wedding Organizer lies in the quality of the crew and vendors offered. The weakness is that the promotion process is only carried out on social media. The opportunity that Kasmaran Wedding Organizer can take advantage of is that there are not many professional Wedding Organizers in Pacitan and the threat that exists is the large number of competitors who offer prices that are too low and a few people who hardly to understand about what wedding organizer is.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of a mystical tourism development plan launched by Sandiaga Uno with the aim of increasing state revenue from the tourism sector and increasing new jobs and existing businesses in the development area. Because Lake Toba has been included in the super priority development, This study aims to determine how the perception of Lake Toba tourists to the planning of mystical tourism development in Lake Toba as their destination of choice. In knowing perception, the researcher uses Alex Sobur's theory of perception which is used to find out how the meaning is in tourists. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, to describe how the perceptions were found in more detail. The data in this study were obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation obtained from existing informants. This study obtained results showing that Lake Toba tourists' perceptions of the planning of mystical tourism development are as a form of effort in preserving culture, local wisdom values, and traditions that exist in the Batak community in Lake Toba as well as being a means of learning life for tourists whose stories in it can be taken as evaluate how to think and act properly, and as a means to introduce culture, traditions, customs to tourists.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest food waste producing countries and has a high hunger value index. Public awareness and participation in reducing food disposal activities are needed to reduce the hunger value index in Indonesia. The focus of this research is the role of Garda Pangan in the eyes of its social media followers as a potentially wasted food collection organization to be distributed to people in need. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of the Food Rescue program carried out by Garda Pangan in increasing food waste awareness. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection in this study was obtained from interviews and literature review activities. The results showed that Garda Pangan organization helped increase awareness of its social media followers about food waste and took part in distributing potentially wasted food to people in need

Abstract

Polisi diharapkan menjadi pelindung dan pengayom masyarakat, namun kenyataannya sering terjadi tindakan di luar batas prosedur, terutama dalam pengamanan demonstrasi. Media memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk citra polisi di mata publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana BBC Indonesia membingkai tindakan aparat dalam liputan mengenai demonstrasi penolakan revisi UU Pilkada 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah Analisis Wacana Kritis model Norman Fairclough dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa BBC Indonesia membingkai aparat sebagai aktor represif melalui penggunaan frasa-frasa seperti “brutalitas polisi” dan narasi berulang kekerasan aparat. Artikel BBC juga mengaitkan tindakan kekerasan dengan kepentingan politik dan menyuarakan perspektif korban sebagai narasi utama. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media internasional berperan penting dalam membentuk opini publik, dan bahwa citra Polri sangat dipengaruhi oleh cara media menyajikan wacana. Temuan ini menjadi refleksi bagi institusi kepolisian untuk memperbaiki pendekatan dalam menghadapi masyarakat, serta pentingnya penguatan etika jurnalistik dalam menyuarakan isu kekerasan oleh aparat.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini semakin berkembang terutama internet. Dengan adanya internet dapat memudahkan masyarakat untuk berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan satu sama lain. Dengan memanfaatkan internet dapat menguntungkan dalam segala pihak, dengan ini pihak public relation Indosat terutama di wilayah Mojokerto, menggunakan internet untuk menjalankan strategi dan peran penting untuk membangun citra positif di masyarakat. Dengan kata lain, menciptakan program yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat di masa pandemi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah Customer Relationship Management public relation Indosat Mojokerto dalam menjalin hubungan baik dengan pelanggan di masa pandemi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu teori Customer Relationship Management. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang suatu masyarakat atau kelompok tentang suatu gejala atau hubungan yang ada didalamnya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diambil adalah wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam hal menjalin hubungan pihak humas Indosat Mojokerto membentuk suatu program yaitu Webinar Indosat guru dan sekolah. Program yang dijalankan sudah berjalan dengan baik serta masyarakat merasa puas akan program yang telah dilakukan oleh pihak indosat Mojokerto.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan aspek paling penting dari suatu negara karena kualitas sumber daya manusia dari suatu negara mempunyai kaitan yang erat dan juga dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pendidikan sehingga bidang pendidikan perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus baik dari masyarakat, perusahaan, maupun pemerintah. Perusahaan dapat turut serta berkontribusi dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan melalui program CSR pendidikan. Salah satu perusahaan yang secara aktif memberikan kontribusinya dalam dunia pendidikan adalah Bank Indonesia melalui program beasiswa GenBI. Hingga saat ini, GenBI telah memiliki 10.545 penerima beasiswa yang juga tergabung dalam komunitas GenBI. Sebagai kegiatan yang melibatkan banyak orang dalam pelaksanaanya, program beasiswa ini tentunya melibatkan proses komunikasi antara awardee dengan person in charge (PIC) yang ditunjuk oleh GenBI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses komunikasi dalam kegiatan para penerima beasiswa GenBI di UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Untuk memperoleh data, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses komunikasi antara awardee beasiswa GenBI di UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur dengan person in charge (PIC) masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan antara lain komunikasi yang cenderung bersifat satu arah dan tidak teratur sehingga masih diperlukan perbaikan dan pengoptimalan.

Abstract

This study focused to investigate how the Gen Z in Surabaya receives the representation of Gen Z characteristics that are visualized in the Gojek advertisement "SOLUSI MASALAH OVERTHINKING PILIH MAKANAN, ADA DI VIDEO INI!". The advertisement attempts to portray Gen Z's characteristics, such as overthinking, commitment issues in relationships, job-hopping, and the tendency to believe in or use horoscope predictions. Previous literature suggests that Gen Z tends to exhibit these characteristics, which motivated the researcher to investigate how the Surabaya Gen Z population responds to this advertisement's portrayal of their traits. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with Stuart Hall encoding-decoding theory to analyze the reception. The informants consist of 11 Gen Z individuals with various backgrounds from Surabaya city. The research data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The study results indicate that the informants have different responses due to their varying backgrounds. Four informants, 1, 3, 8, and 10, included in the dominant-hegemonic position, while the other seven, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11, are in the negotiation position. Abstract

This study aims to understand journalists' perceptions of the journalist competency test set by the Press Council as a standard of professionalism in the Indonesian press. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, this study involved five journalists in East Java, comprising three certified journalists and two who declined to participate in the competency test process. The data collected was analyzed using NVivo 15 software. The results showed that some journalists perceived the competency test as an administrative formality that did not guarantee competence and professionalism. The competency test also has no impact on their careers or welfare. However, informants stated that if carried out consistently and professionally, the competency test has the potential to fence press freedom from unethical practices and strengthen journalistic quality. This research also emphasizes the importance of revamping regulations and maintaining the Press Council in the implementation of journalist competency tests.
