Abstract

Abstract The development of digital technology has posed major challenges for conventional media such as radio, particularly in maintaining their existence and brand awareness. Gen 103.1 FM Surabaya, as one of the leading contemporary hits radio stations, has faced a decline in local broadcasting activities due to the impact of the pandemic and corporate efficiency measures. This has affected listener engagement and weakened the brand's presence in the audience's mind. This study aims to analyze the communication strategies implemented by Gen FM Surabaya to enhance brand awareness, especially amidst limited broadcasting programs. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature study. The data were analyzed in three stages: data reduction, narrative presentation, and conclusion drawing with verification. This approach aims to provide an in-depth overview of Gen FM’s communication strategies. The findings show that Gen 103.1 FM Surabaya has successfully strengthened its brand awareness through consistent, local, and relevant communication strategies. The “Nyore” program became part of listeners’ emotional routines, reinforcing their connection with the brand. A local approach using Surabaya’s language and cultural references helped build deeper emotional ties. Active presence on digital platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp effectively reached younger audiences. Regular research ensures content relevance, making Gen FM an essential part of modern lifestyles. Keywords:  Communication strategy; strategic management; radio; gen 103.1 fm surabaya; brand awareness.   Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi digital membuat media konvensional seperti radio menghadapi tantangan besar, terutama dalam mempertahankan eksistensi dan brand awareness. Gen 103.1 FM Surabaya sebagai salah satu radio contemporary hits menghadapi penurunan aktivitas siaran lokal akibat dampak pandemi dan efisiensi perusahaan. Hal ini berdampak pada interaksi dengan pendengar dan kekuatan brand di benak audiens. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan Gen FM Surabaya dalam upaya meningkatkan brand awareness, terutama di tengah keterbatasan jumlah program siaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Data dianalisis melalui tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data dalam bentuk naratif, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Pendekatan ini bertujuan menggambarkan strategi komunikasi Gen 103.1 FM Surabaya dalam meningkatkan brand awareness secara mendalam, berdasarkan informasi dari informan, dokumen relevan, dan referensi ilmiah yang mendukung fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Gen 103.1 FM Surabaya berhasil meningkatkan brand awareness yang kuat melalui strategi komunikasi yang konsisten, lokal, dan relevan. Program “Nyore” menjadi rutinitas emosional pendengar, memperkuat kedekatan mereka dengan brand. Pendekatan kelokalan melalui bahasa dan budaya khas Surabaya menciptakan koneksi emosional yang mendalam. Kehadiran aktif di platform digital seperti Instagram, TikTok, dan WhatsApp dirasa mampu menjangkau generasi muda secara efektif. Riset rutin memastikan setiap konten sesuai kebutuhan audiens, menjadikan Gen FM bagian penting dari gaya hidup. Abstract

Akreditasi Internasional yang dilakukan oleh lembaga akreditasi yang berasal dari negara lain dengan permintaan universitas atau program studi untuk tujuan kaji ulang atau evaluasi mengenai standar/kriteria mutu program studi. Akreditasi internasional mengutamakan standarisasi kemampuan lulusan lewat evaluasi tercapainya hasil program studi. Hasil ditetapkan oleh lembaga akreditasi yang biasanya didukung oleh asosiasi saintifik, asosiasi profesi, asosiasi industri, dan lainnya. FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) adalah lembaga Eropa yang berpusat di kota Bonn Nordrhein-Westfalen Jerman, lembaga yang berorientasi internasional sebagai penjamin dan pengembangan kualitas dalam perguruan tinggi. FIBAA juga merupakan lembaga akreditasi internasional yang sudah terdaftar di Kemendikbud atau Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

2024 is a crucial year for Indonesia as it marks the presidential and vice-presidential transition. The General Elections Commission (KPU) has nominated three candidate pairs, one of which is Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka (candidate pair 02), who proposed a free lunch program. This program has sparked considerable debate in various media, prompting this study to analyze the framing of news coverage about the free lunch program by candidate pair 02 (Prabowo-Gibran) on the online news portals Kompas.com and Mediaindonesia.com during the period of November 28, 2024, to February 10, 2024. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method to describe or explain the underlying meanings of reality. Data analysis is conducted using Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis model, which includes syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical structures. The findings indicate that Kompas.com’s coverage is supportive of the free lunch program. On the other hand, the coverage on Mediaindonesia.com is firmly against the free lunch program

Abstract

Nowadays, there are many toxic dating relationships that threaten people's lives. This is no exception experienced by Clara Tan, an accomplished model who was a victim of a toxic relationship and then ventured to speak up in the media, one of which was on the Close the Door Podcast. This research aims to analyze the acceptance of audiences in Surabaya City towards the representation of toxic relationships in the content of #CLOSETHEDOOR “Toxic Relationship Tortured Me!!! Clara Tan, ANTM Model Speak Up”. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection in the form of in-depth interviews and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that the reception of Clara Tan's podcast content on Close the Door varies among audiences interpreting toxic relationships. There are 3 (three) audiences agreed that through the close the door podcast content, victims of toxic relationships must dare to speak up, not give space, and dare to say 'no' to actions that lead to toxic. Meanwhile, 2 (two) audiences assessed that the content of this podcast reminds women to be able to take precautions as early as possible before being in a phase of experiencing violence that threatens mental and physical. Abstrak Saat ini marak terjadi hubungan berpacaran yang toxic hingga mengancam nyawa manusia. Hal ini tak terkecuali dialami oleh Clara Tan seorang model berprestasi yang menjadi korban toxic relationship dan kemudian memberanikan diri untuk speak up di media, salah satunya pada Podcast Close the Door. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerimaan audiens di Kota Surabaya terhadap representasi toxic relationship pada konten #CLOSETHEDOOR “Toxic Relationship Di Siksa Saya Habis2an!! Clara Tan, Model ANTM Speak Up”. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa resepsi pada konten podcast Clara Tan di Close the Door berbeda-beda di antara para audiens memaknai toxic relationship. Terdapat 3 (tiga) audiens menyepakati bahwa melalui konten podcast close the door, korban toxic relationship harus berani untuk dare to speak up, tidak memberikan ruang, dan berani berkata ‘tidak’ terhadap tindakan yang mengarah pada toxic. Sedangkan 2 (dua) audiens menilai konten podcast ini mengingatkan untuk perempuan agar mampu melakukan pencegahan sedini mungkin sebelum berada fase mengalami kekerasan yang mengancam mental dan fisik.

Abstract

Adolescents who are vulnerable to environmental influences will influence how they will face problems in their lives, but the independent character that is formed from an early age can make adolescents easily determine their life path without influence from other people. The aim of this research is to find out how the character Enola represents independence in the film Enola Holmes, and to collect research data using documentation and observation. The research results show that each individual has their own driving factors for independent character according to their environment. Independent factors that can influence a person are parenting patterns, age, education, birth order, gender, intelligence and social interactions. If an individual obtains all of these factors well and positively, then that individual will have a character who is able to take responsibility, and be able to face life's problems without the help of other people, and will also be able to make decisions well and correctly according to the self-confidence she has.

Abstract

Marketing mix is ​​an effort to convey messages to the public, especially consumers, regarding the existence of a product on the market. This research examines the marketing strategy carried out by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer using qualitative research methods and integrated interviews with the Owner, Project Manager and Marketing Manager of Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. The purpose of this research is to determine the marketing strategy (marketing mix) carried out by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. The results of this research show that the products offered by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer are wedding organization service products for both modern and traditional weddings. The prices offered by Kasmaran Wedding Organizer start from IDR 15,000,000, and can be adjusted to the client's needs. Social Media is the spearhead of promotion for Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. Kasmaran Wedding Organizer was founded in Pacitan Regency because Pacitan Regency is a strategic place for the wedding organizer business. The recruitment process of the Kasmaran Organizer Crew is carried out quite selectively so that it can boost the work process and marketing process of the Kasmaran Wedding Organizer. The process of establishing Kasmaran Wedding Organizer was initially only a main crew but now has many crew. Instagram and promotional brochures are physical evidence of the Kasmaran Wedding Organizer marketing process. The strength of Kasmaran Wedding Organizer lies in the quality of the crew and vendors offered. The weakness is that the promotion process is only carried out on social media. The opportunity that Kasmaran Wedding Organizer can take advantage of is that there are not many professional Wedding Organizers in Pacitan and the threat that exists is the large number of competitors who offer prices that are too low and a few people who hardly to understand about what wedding organizer is.

Abstract

The term toxic parents is being discussed lately because many Indonesian parents are learning to be better mothers and fathers by avoiding their parent’s mistakes. Toxic parents are parents who have negative parenting patterns that are consistently and dominant in their children's lives, including abuse, violence, and humiliation that can cause trauma, mental damage, and harm the child in the long term. Considering that many young people feel related to the issue of toxic parents, the podcast Curhat Babu tries to raise this issue. This study aims to find out how early adults accept toxic parents on the episode of Curhat Babu podcast “Bisakah Kita Mengubah Orang Tua Kita?”. This study uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews and documentation. This study uses a reception analysis of Stuart Hall's Encoding-Decoding model which divides the audience's meaning into three positions: dominant-hegemonic, negotiated, and opposition. The results showed that the reception of the informants varied, but tended to be in a dominant position, where the audience accepted the dominant meaning in the podcast as whole which states that children cannot demand to change parents so the control is on themselves to break the toxic parent’s chain. Life experience, knowledge, and religion factors influence the various meanings and receptions of the informants.

Abstract

Public relations is an important part of any organization or agency. This is because the activities carried out by public relations professionals aim and focus on building and maintaining a company's brand image and maintaining the reputation of the agency or organization in the eyes of the public. Providing understanding to the public requires parties responsible for providing information that connects organizations or agencies with the public. This party is none other than a PR or public relations practitioner. Apart from realizing that public relations plays an important role in building the image of an organization, the presence of public relations in the field of customs and excise is also recognized as a priority need. Customs and Excise Socialization functions to further strengthen community relations through the implementation of policy outreach regarding customs and excise. Customs and Excise Public Relations also relies on media to communicate with the public, including advertising, social media, and providing information on the latest developments in the customs sector. Public relations theory, public relations strategy, and social media are the theories examined in this research. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods to collect data in the form of interviews and observations.

Abstract

Balap liar adalah aksi yang biasa dilakukan oleh para remaja di kabupaten Tuban di Jawa Timur. Hal ini tentunya disebabkan oleh pergaulan remaja dan pemilihan perteman oleh remaja itu sendiri. Selain itu, dampak yang ditimbulkan dari penerapan pola komunikasi orang tua kepada anaknya sangat relevan jika dikaitkan dengan kehidupan dan aktivitas sehari-hari anak ketika berada di lingkungan sosial. Dalam konteks ini peneliti ingin mengetahui lebih jauh bagaimana pola komunikasi orang tua yang diterapkan pada anaknya dalam memilih perteman dari aksi balap liar di Kabupaten Tuban Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam hal ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan wawancara mendalam atau in-depth interview untuk menemukan jawaban atas permasalahan yang berkaitan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa terdapat empat jenis komunikasi yang diterapkan sehari-hari, termasuk komunikasi permisif, komunikasi otoriter, komunikasi demokratis, dan komunikasi penelantar. Dalam kaitannya dengan pemilihan pertemanan, peneliti menemukan bahwa komunikasi permisif (kebebasan) berdampak signifikan pada pemilihan pertemanan dari aksi balap liar yang dilakukan oleh para remaja. Hal ini juga didasarkan pada bagaimana peran orang tua dalam melakukan komunikasi sehari-hari dengan anaknya, dengan tidak adanya aturan-aturan khusus ketika memilih lingkup pertemanan dari anak, yang mengakibatkan anak merespon hal tersebut dengan kebebasan yang mereka punya termasuk terjerumus kepada aksi ilegal balap liar.
