Abstract

Learning outcomes are essential for elementary school students. One indicator that determines whether or not a learning goal is achieved is learning outcomes. This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes about building space using the Discovery learning model at the State Elementary School 3 Rejamulya. The method used in this research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles. This research was conducted at the State Elementary School 3 Rejamulya. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques apply observation, interviews, tests, and document studies. Data validity uses source and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques apply the stages of reducing data, presenting data, and making conclusions. The results showed that the students' mathematics learning outcomes on geometrical material increased after using the Discovery learning model. By implication, implementing the discovery learning model can improve mathematics learning outcomes and can be used by teachers as an alternative innovative learning model in mathematics learning. AbstrakHasil belajar menjadi hal yang penting untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Salah satu indicator yang menentukan tercapai tidaknya suatu tujuan belajar adalah hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa tentang bangun ruang dengan menggunakan model Discovery learning di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 3 Rejamulya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 3 Rejamulya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data mengaplikasikan teknik observasi, wawancara, tes, dan studi dokumen. Validitas data mengaplikasikan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Teknik analisis data mengaplikasikan tahap mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa tentang materi bangun ruang mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan model discovery learning. Secara implikasi, pengimplementasian model discovery learning mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dan dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternative model pembelajaran inovatif pada pembelajaran matematika.Kata Kunci: Hasil belajar; Matematika; model discovery learning

Abstract

The study aims to analyze correlation of: (1) independence in learning on natural science learning outcomes, (2) learning environment at schools on natural science learning outcomes, and (3) independence in learning and learning environment at schools on natural science learning outcomes to fifth grade students of public elementary schools. It was multiple correlation quantitative method. The population were 725 students with a sample of 312 students who were randomly selected with cluster random sampling technique. The results indicated that: (1) there was positive and significant correlation between independence in learning and natural science learning outcomes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05) with coefficient value 0.461; (2) there was positive and significant correlation between learning environment at schools and natural science learning outcomes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05) with coefficient value 0.446; and (3) there was positive and significant correlation between independence in learning and learning environment at schools on natural science learning outcomes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05) with coefficient value 0.488. It concludes that there is positive and significant correlation of the independence in learning and learning environment at schools on natural science learning outcomes to fifth grade students of public elementary schools.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan gerakan literasi masyarakat di Desa Wero Kabupaten Kebumen. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada proses kegiatan KKN Angkatan 2022/2023 selama 1 bulan. Peserta kegiatan adalah masyarakat desa Wero Kabupaten Kebumen. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode CBR (Community Based Research). Metode ini menggunakan empat langkah yaitu membangun prinsip dan konsep dasar, perencanaan, pengumpulan dan analisis data, aksi atas temuan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara berkesinambungan mulai dari menganalisis kebutuhan komunitas dalam menyiapkan gerakan literasi masyarakat, koordinasi dengan para pemangku kepentingan, persiapan lokasi perpustakaan desa, pencarian buku-buku, dan sarasehan serta diskusi seputar gerakan literasi masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan sangat baik dan dapat memahamkan peserta tentang gerakan literasi masyarakat. Adanya perpustakaan dengan berbagai jenis buku bacaan menjadikan langkah besar dalam menuju masyarakat yang literat.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the P5 and PPRA models (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila and Profil Pelajar Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin) as a Project of Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles and Student Profile of Rahmatan Lil' Alamin in Inclusive Schools and their supporting and inhibiting factors. The subjects in this study were inclusive elementary schools in Kebumen, namely SD Negeri 2 Pejagoan and MI Maarif Sidomulyo. This study used a qualitative approach with a type of phenomenology. Data collection was through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis techniques used were the Miles and Huberman model, namely condensation, display, and conclusion/verification data. The results of the analysis indicated that the P5 and PPRA model in inclusive schools had been outlined in the annual program and school semester program, which were then developed in the flow of learning objectives and teaching modules, making them flexible according to the characteristics of students with special needs. The existence of good partnerships between schools, families, and the community was the dominant factor supporting P5 and PPRA, and the lack of learning facilities and media was an inhibiting factor in strengthening P5 and PPRA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ethnoscience-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on students' science literacy, measure the level of improvement in students' science literacy, and analyze students' science literacy levels in terms of context, competence, and knowledge aspects. The research uses a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design. The quantitative part of the study is conducted using a quasi-experiment, while the qualitative part employs field research. Data analysis techniques include the Mann-Whitney U test for quantitative data and triangulation techniques to validate data. The Miles and Huberman and Saldana model is used for qualitative data analysis.The study found that the use of ethnoscience-based PjBL significantly affects students' science literacy, with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. The increase in science literacy in the experimental class is categorized as high, at 0.71, while the control class shows a moderate category, at 0.60. In terms of science literacy levels, the experimental class reached a minimum of level 4, while the control class still had students at level 3. This means that students in the experimental class had better science literacy compared to the control class, particularly in terms of prospective elementary school teachers. Among the three aspects of science literacy, the competence aspect was the highest in both the experimental and control classes compared to the other aspects.
