The aims of this research are (1) making Solok tourist object directory in West Sumatera amounted to 203 tourist objects and that author can get about 21 tourist objects consisting of some districtsthat located in Solok, this matter is caused by the limited time, a long distant location and cost a lot of money, (2) the way in generating the directory is collecting data, record data, focus on ideas, create a book framework, determine subject, classification or grouping and directory preparation, (3) the constraints in making location plan. The efforts of writing to overcome obstacles in making directories is making the best possible location plan so that the users ofinformation are simplified to find the tourist object they want to visit.Keywords: Tourist object, directory

The purpose of this research are: (1) to explain what kind of medicinal plants for Sakai Tribe in Riau Region, (2) to describe how to repackage information about medicinal plants for Sakai Tribe in Riau Region. Data wasÂ Â collectedÂ Â throughÂ Â observationÂ Â andÂ Â interviewÂ Â withÂ Â SakaiÂ Â Riau Customary Chief and Sakai Riau indigenous house guard officer. The writing of this paper used qualitative descriptive method. Data obtained through observation and direct interviews with the Chief of Customs and community Sakai District Riau. Based on the research concluded the things as follows. First, the types of medicinal plants for the Sakai Tribe in Riau Region, consisting of 21 plants, Second, the way of repackaging the information of medicinal plants for the Sakai Tribe in Riau Region hasstages and the design of the book, the stages are: (1 ) Identifying user needs, (2) Collecting information and selection of information sources, (3) Selecting sources containing useful information values, (4) Evaluating the validity of information, (5) Meriview, analyzing, extracting information into information form Which is more efficient for the user, (6) repackage of information into a form appropriate to the needs of users of information, (7) Distributing information by means of promotion. This paper discussed about butterflyâ€™s metamorphosis comic making for elementary school children of high class. The purpose of this paper is to describe the process of making a comic of metamorphosis of butterfly. The technique of collecting data in the preparation of this paper is observation of the literature by reading and studying ther source book, comics, metamorphosis of butterflies, and elementary school children of high class. Based on the stu88dy can be concluded the stages of comic making of metamorphosis of butterfly for elementary school children of high class as follow: (1) determine the topic or theme of the comic to be created, (2) collect all kinds of informations needed in making comic, (3) thinking about creating a comic figure or figure, (4) make a script of story that will be made comic, (5) create an image of a script that has been created, (6) giving balloons of conversation in the picture, (7) giving color to sketch or drawing that have been made,(8) take in the conversation text as well as the text in the column to explain the baground setting, (9) then scan the results of comic sheets that have been completed, (10) cut each existing panel and then neatly arranged, (11) the next, create a comic book cover with the desired creations. Stages of comic creation have been completed. Comics can be printed and ready to use.Keywords: comic, metamorphosis of butterflies.

Abstract This paper discusses the implementation of reading stalls activities made by the library office and archives of the city of Padang Panjang as an effort to increase reading interest in elementary school children in Padang Panjang. The purpose of this paper is to: (1) describe how the implementation of reading stalls activities to increase reading interest in elementary school children in Padang Panjang; (2) describe the obstacles faced in the implementation of reading stalls activities; (3) describe the efforts that can be made to overcome the obstacles faced in the implementation of reading booth activities. The research method used in this writing is descriptive method. Data collection is done through interviews and through direct observation. The stages of organizing lapak activities are read as follows. First, planning, at this stage the regional library determines the schedule, and which schools will be visited. Second, the implementation of activities, procedures for implementing activities include: (1) the team first meets the school to coordinate whether this activity can be started; (2) one of the staff becomes the host to notify the procedure of the event and other staff to discipline students; (3) staff distribute books 1 book 1 child; (4) the team allows students to read approximately 15 minutes and presents challenges if there are students who dare to advance to retell what they read will be rewarded; (5) awarding. Constraints faced in carrying out reading stall activities are: (1) many reading materials that have been damaged such as torn; (2) lack of librarian staff to support the implementation of activities; (3) the existence of reading material that is not in accordance with the age of the student. Efforts can be made to overcome these obstacles: (1) libraries are expected to procure new collection purchases; (2) libraries should increase the number of librarians deployed to carry out reading booth activities, or libraries to open job openings; (3) before conducting the reading stall activities, the team re-checks the books to be taken.Keywords:Â actives, reading stalls, reading interest

AbstractThis paper discusses about the participation of the people of Padang Panjang towards the literacy activities in the library of Padang Panjang City. Writing this paper aims to: (1) describe the literacy activities that exist in the library area of Padang Panjang City; (2) to describe how people's participation in literacy activities in the library of Padang Panjang City; (3) to describe the constraints and solutions of literacy activities in the library of Padang Panjang City. Data were collected through observation, interview and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded as follows: (1) literacy activities in the Padang Panjang City regional library vary, namely read shelf, endowments of books derived from the general public's contribution to pre-prosperous communities, and activities of creative classes namely, theater classes, storytelling classes, writing classes and storytelling classes; (2) the participation of the Padang Panjang community in literacy activities was welcomed enthusiastically by each activity and participated in every series of literacy activities in the Padang Panjang library; (3) the constraints and solutions faced by literacy activities in the Padang Panjang City library are inadequate facilities and infrastructure so that it needs to provide better facilities and infrastructure, as well as less interest in participating in literacy activities. after doing the activity of the literacy.Keyword: library, participation, literacy.

This paper discusses about the Making of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of Active Dynamic Archive at Unit Procurement & Logistic Staff, Indarung VI Project PT Semen Padang. This study aims to; (1) to describe the making of active dynamic operating system standard (SOP) in the Procurement & Logistic Staff unit, Indarung VI Project of PT Semen Padang; (2) to know the result of standard operating procedure (SOP) of active dynamic archive in Unit Procurement & Logistic Staff, Indarung VI Project PT Semen Padang. The method used is descriptive method. Data were collected through observation and direct interview with archival officer at Procurement & Logistic Staff unit, Indarung VI Project PT Semen Padang. Based on research result; In the management of active dynamic archives using SOPs to direct and improve the quality of work processes in active dynamic records management in the Procurement & Logistic Staff unit, Indarung VI Project of PT Semen Padang can be concluded from the process of archive creation, archival recording and archive maintenance and use.Keyword: Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Active Dinamic Archive

Abstract Â The writing of this paper is motivated by the absence of a special source of information about mnangkabau traditional game in pesisir selatan district. The purpose of this research is to introduce traditional games to the upcoming young generation and to design traditional minangkabau game information packs in pesisir selatan district. The method used in writing this paper is a descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation ann interview. The processof design stage of making the repacking box is: a) identification user needs, b) conducting inspection of information collection and selection of information resources, c) choose sources that countain useful information values, d) evaluate the validity of the information, e) review, analyze, extract information into the form of more effective and efficient information for the user, f) repacking the information into an interesting book form with the intention that every information user can be interested and eager to read for all ages, h) disseminate information by way of promotion starting from the library, social media, brochures and so on.Keywords: repackage information, traditional game.

Abstract The writing of this paper seeks to describe the use of information resources by users at the Padang City Library and Archives Service. Data collected using descriptive research methods with research objects of various sources of information in the library. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews with librarians and librarians in the Padang City Library and Archives Office library through literature studies in accordance with the problem under study.Â Based on the discussion of the data it can be concluded that the utilization of information sources by the library users in the Padan City Library and Archives Service is as follows:Â (1) Information sources that can be used by visitors in the Library of the Padang City Library and Archives Service, such as public collections numbered from 000 public works to 900 history and geography. Then there is also a source of information that is a collection of references consisting of dictionaries, encyclopedias, laws, altas, handbooks. And there is also a collection of reservoirs which are numbered from a collection of 000 public works to a collection of 900 history and geography.Â (2) the utilization of information resources in the library can be seen from the user's needs, user motives, user interests.Â (3) the opinion of the user towards the information sources in the library can be seen from the completeness of information sources in the library such as: information sources as opportunities for career achievement and achievement, updating information sources, completeness of information sources, as a means of decision making, information sources as entertainment. The information retrieval facility can be seen from the use of collections, the condition of book fiqs, the arrangement of books in the library, the search tools facility, the enhanced facilities.Keywords:Â utilization, information, usersÂ

AbstractBased on the result of the research, it is concluded that the following matters. First, the community reading park Tanah Ombak built by Mr.Yusrizal KW, Mr. Syuhendri and Mr. Zurmailis has approximately 4000 copies of the book. The community reading park of Tanah Ombak is located in Purus III gang IV number 30 E. The reading park community of Â Tanah Ombak has 4 areas of activity named the field of creative writing, the field of art, the field of language, the field of mathematics. The reading park community of Tanah Ombak has 4 services, named (1) book lending service, (2) talent coaching service and child potency, (3) Service Cooperation with Various Parties (Partnership), (4) mobile library services. Secondly, After the data analyzed, the conclusion explains some steps of creating a comic utilization guide community reading park Tanah Ombak, named (1) Determine Topics or Themes,(2) Collect Information,(3) Determine the Text and Writing of the Text Story,(4) Making Comic Box,(5) Make a picture,(6) Make Conversation Texts and Balloons, and (7) Color Giving.Keywords: comic, TBM.

AbstractThe writing of this paper aims to describe: (1) local content collection services, (2) constraints in procuring local content collections; and (3) efforts in procuring local content collections in the Archives Service and West Sumatra Province Library. The method of writing this paper is to use a qualitative descriptive method which is done by observation, interviews and data collection directly to the source, the Office of Archives and the Library of West Sumatra Province. Based on the results of interviews and observations conducted at the Archives Service and West Sumatra Province Library are as follows: First, the service collection of "local content" content at the Archives Service and West Sumatra Province Library through the procurement of local content collection, local content collection service system and the use of collections local content by users in the Archives Service and Library of West Sumatra Province. Second, the obstacles faced are: (1) limited number of local content collections, (2) limited access to local content collections, (3) lack of government and other related parties' attention to cultural functions, (4) lack of human resources as skilled librarians. Third, the efforts that have been made by the Office of Archives and Library of West Sumatra Province, namely conducting education, outreach, law enforcement and infrastructure facilities for local content collection works in an effort to preserve regional culture.Keyword: local content collection; cultural preservation; public library
