AbstractBased on the discussion, the following things were concluded. First, the steps of making windmill-shaped educational toys from used goods, namely: (1) collecting tools and materials, (2) cutting the patterned boxes, (3) installing two poles / posts for connecting devices, (4) Making a round pattern, (5) making a propeller pattern, (6) cutting the propeller pattern, (7) sticking straight wood on two poles / bollards. (8) inserting windmill propellers on straight wood, (9) simple windmills have been completed, (10) cutting out fruit poster pictures, (11) glue drawing of fruits on windmill propellers, (12) fruits have been pasted, (13) cutting cardboard pieces, (14) making pieces of cardboard at the pointed ends, (15) placing pieces of cardboard on the edges of the sides of the rectangle, (16) the windmill fence has been finished, (17) installing close the bottle of tea, (18) the windmill has been finished, (19) the windmill is ready to be used by children to play and learn. Secondly, the stage of using windmill educational toys from used goods, namely: (1) preparing tools and materials, (2) making windmills, (3) using windmills by children. Third, the function of educational toys in the form of windmills from used goods, namely: (1) Creating a situation of learning (playing) for children, (2) Growing self-confidence and shaping a positive self-image of children (3) Developing patterns of socialization and emotion of children.Keywords: educational toys, windmills, children

Abstract The reading house of the Rumah Gadang community has approximately 4000 copies of books consisting of children's reading, children's stories, fairy tales, and novels, then teen and adult readings, namely novels, poems, short stories, comics, magazines, religious books, books of thought and philosophy . Community reading garden of the Gadang House located in Kampung Batu. The Rumah Gadang community reading park has three services, namely (1) book lending services, (2) talent and potential guidance services for children, (3) Collaborative Activity Services with Various Parties (Partnerships), The main stage of developing a guidebook with the design of several contents in the product that is. The design of components such as the contents of the product there are several elements that I will use to make the guidebook as follows: (1) getting to know the library, the author will discuss at a glance about the Rumah Gadang library, library vision and mission, organizational structure, room layout and service in the library. (2) developing interest and reading habits, here the author will discuss the notion of reading interest and the benefits of reading. (3) Developing reading interests and habits, where the author discusses development in terms of reading and problems with interest in reading. The formulation of competence standard and basic competence for Indonesian language and literature subject is based on four aspects of language skills. But when viewed from the point of the communicative approach in language learning. generally those competencies do not directly address the language components which must be taught again and teacher often do not specify clearly these aspects when developing indicators of basic integrate the three components of learning, namely :1. mastery of language knowledge which also includes a significant mastery of linguistic rules; 2. Four aspects of language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing); 3. A positive attitude towards meaningful Indonesian language and literature which enable student to use language appropriately. Communicative approach in learning the language is emphasized also that language learning is not learning about the language, but learning the language. However, learning the language without learning the rules of language is useless. Therefore, this article would like to try to criticize the imbalance of attention to good language trainings in the four aspects of language skills, supported by a situation that requires students to speak with the correct behavior Key words: Standar kompetensi, kompetensi dasar, pembelajaran bahasa, pendekatan komunikatif, pola pengintegrasian.

The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the implementation of the GLS program, (2) to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors of the GLS program, (3) to describe the contribution of school libraries in the implementation of the GLS. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Informants in this study used purposive sampling technique. Informants in this study there are 5 informants consisting of the principal, the head of the library, teachers, and 2 students. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are as follows. (1) SMA Negeri 1 Basa Ampek Balai Tapan has implemented GLS since 2019, namely 15 minutes of reading, reading area, reading garden, and the most diligent library visitors. (2) Supporting factors for the implementation of the GLS are the active role of all school members, school funds, collaboration with donors and support from students' parents. And the inhibiting factor for implementing GLS is the influence of technology such as the negative influence of gadgets, students prefer to play gadgets than go to the library. Efforts made to overcome these problems are the cooperation of all elements of the school to encourage students so that students are enthusiastic and active in literacy activities. (3) The contribution of the school library in implementing the school literacy movement program is the first to procure collections in the library, the second is library services, the third is library collaboration, the fourth is appreciation for users, the fifth is library promotion and the sixth is the school library program

This study aimed to describe the morality of the characters in the novel Angels-Angels Heaven works Tere Liye. Morality is described that relate to conscience, freedom and responsibility, values and norms, as well as the rights and obligations of the characters in the novel. To determine morality contained in the novel then used the following research questions: How moralitastokoh-figure-terdapatvdalam novel Angel Angel Heaven Tere Liye work, in terms of morality, namely: conscience, freedom and responsibility, values and norms, as well as the rights and obligation This type of research is qualitatively using descriptive content analysis (content analysis). This method is used to see and describe the existing data in novel Angel Angel-Heaven Work Tere Liye which decomposes in the form of words rather than in the form of numbers. In the data collection was done in three steps: read and understand the novel Angel-Angel Heaven TereLiye work, mark events and figures behavioral symptoms that lead to focused research, and inventory data by using the format of the data inventory. Results of this study showed that the novel Angel Angel Heaven-there character who has morality associated with (1) conscience, which is reflected by the figures, namely: Laisa figures, figures Dalimunte, Ikanuri figures, figures Wibisana, Yashinta figures; (2) freedom and responsibility, reflected by the figures, namely: laisa figures, figures Dalimunte, Mamak Lainuri figures, and figure Burhan Wak, (3) values and norms, reflected by the figures, namely: Ikanuri figures, figures Wibisana; (4 ) the rights and obligations reflected by figures, namely: Laisa figures, figures mamak Lainuri.

Purpose of this study is describe and analyze the dynamics of personality contained within the novel Aku Bukan Budak work Astina Triutami. The data of this study is prominent personalities including traced by the elements characterizations. The data source of this research is novel Aku Bukan Budak work Astina Triutami published by Libri Publishing in 2011. Data collected by reading the novel while marking related elements and invetarisasi data with the data format. The study's findings are Astina character has a strong personality, smiling, friendly, helpful, even stubborn. Personality conflicts experienced in the form of (1) voltage (behavior that consciously or unconsciously), (2) needs (or physical affection), (3) anxiety (anxiety or fear that something will happen, (4) energytransformations (behavior that is open or closed).

This purposes of study to describe religious values that defined in actor behavior in novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa author by Tere-Liye. Some of religious values are faith, syariah, and moral. This research is qualitative with descriptive method and content technique analysis. Data in this research is religious values in Hafalan Shalat Delisa. The source of data is novel by Tere-Liye that is Hafalan Shalat Delisa, which had been published by Republika in Februari 2012. This research found that the main actor of Hafalan Shalat Delisa is six years old girl named Delisa, whose pretty, and clever. Religious values in this novel include: (1) faith, which are acknowledge one God, Allah SWT, believe in Allah’s words, and fear only to Allah SWT; (2) syariah that are pray (shalat), dzikir, say grace, and read Qur’an; and (3) moral that are moral to God in the kind of loving Allah SWT, moral to parent, moral to self as forgiveness and patience.

This study is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Object of this research is the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah of Asma Nadia a novel family first printing, July 2012. Data collected with the following steps: (1) read and understand the novel, (2) marking the parts that indicate the existence of women in novel, (3) identify the nature of the character corresponding to the research problem, (4) to classify sentences and paragraphs that can show a picture of women in the novel. Data were analyzed with the following steps: (1) describe a novel structure, (2) interpret the existence of women as reflected in the figures of women in the novel, (3) concluded that the data has been analyzed and interpreted, and (4) report the results of research. Based on the analysis of data it can be concluded that the existence of the female characters in the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah of Asma Nadia works are grouped as follows. (1) The existence of women as a person is having a hard-hearted personality, has the establishment, independent, religious, and faithful, (2) the existence of women as members of the family are affectionate, patient nature, gentle, (3) the existence of women as members of the community is a concern for other people, the environment and other people's relationships, respect for others, and gregarious.
