Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is how to find out the process of developing learning devices using the PBL model with character enrichment in the substance material and its characteristics which were developed according to experts. Methodology: The research design used by researchers is a quantitative research type of quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. It is done to investigate causal hypotheses about causation that can be manipulated by comparing one or more experimental groups that are treated with one comparison group that is not treated. Main Findings: Based on the analysis of the data and the discussion above, it can be concluded that the students' ability in science subjects on the substance and its characteristics is in the good category. This shows that the application of problem-based learning models can improve students' thinking skills. This is reinforced by testing the hypothesis through the independent sample t-test that there is a significant difference between before being given treatment and after being given treatment Novelty/Originality of this study: Following the era of the industrial revolution 5.0, character-based learning must be developed. Therefore, this research produces science learning tools with problem-based learning in the material and its characteristics.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTekanan zat cair dapat dipelajari melalui percobaan, yang memerlukan alat percobaan untuk mempelajarinya, penggunaan alat percobaan tekanan zat cair sangat minim digunakan di sekolah, hal ini disebabkan para guru belum mengetahuinya, terutama di SMP N 1 kecamatan Jambi luarkota Kabupaten  Muaro Jambi yang menyebabkan kurang optimalnya proses pembelajaran IPA di sekolah tersebut. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk penerapan dan mengadakan pelatihan kepada guru-guru di sekolah tersebut dengan membuat alat percobaan praktikum tekanan zat cair  yang telah didesain oleh dosen dan teknisi di lab fisika universitas Jambi. Pelaksanaan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu studi pendahuluan yang terkait dengan analisis situasi di sekolah dan analisis permasalahan mitra, diantaranya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan guru  membuat dan pengguanaan alat percobaan praktikum tekanan zat cair. Program yang dilakukan adalah demonstrasi, dan membuat alat percobaan praktikum tekanan zat cair. Dari hasil pengabdian ini diperoleh tanggapan dari guru bahwa guru sangat antusias mengikuti program yang telah dilaksanakan, guru telah dapat menggunakan alat percobaan praktikum tekanan zat cair. Kata kunci: alat percobaan praktikum; tekanan zat cair; SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi. ABSTRACTLiquid pressure can be studied through experiments, which require experimental equipment to study it. The use of liquid pressure experimental equipment is very minimal in schools, this is because teachers don't know about it, especially at SMP N 1, Jambi sub-district, out of town, Muaro Jambi Regency, which causes sub-optimality. science learning process at the school. This community service aims to implement and provide training for teachers at the school by making practical liquid pressure experiment equipment that has been designed by lecturers and technicians in the physics lab at Jambi University. The implementation of this community service consists of several stages, namely preliminary studies related to situation analysis at school and analysis of partner problems, including the teacher's lack of knowledge in making and using liquid pressure practical experiment equipment. The program carried out is a demonstration, and making practical experimental equipment for liquid pressure. From the results of this service, a response was obtained from the teacher that the teacher was very enthusiastic about participating in the program that had been implemented, the teacher was able to use the liquid pressure practical experiment equipment. Keywords: practical experimental equipment; liquid pressure; State Junior High School 1 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and apply a five-tier isomorphic instrument to determine the concept of wave propagation. The research design in this study is a mixed method research design in development and implementation instrument. Quantitative data was collected on 151 students in class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Jambi City using an isomorphic instrument in the form of a five-tier diagnostic test. The test instrument was first tested for validity and reliability. The validity performed includes content and construct validity. Content validity is determined based on the % False Positive (FP) and False Negative (FN), which must be <10%. Construct validity is carried out by calculating factor analysis. Meanwhile, reliability is determined based on Cronbach's Alpha coefficient with r table = 0.413 (significance level 5%). The research results show that the instrument is very valid and reliable. The average understanding of students' concepts in wave propagation material is classified in the low category because the percentage obtained is <30%, namely 16% in all four tiers. Most students' conceptions are in the category of lack of knowledge regarding wave propagation, with a percentage of 23.5%.

Abstract

Inadequate learning facilities in the Department of Physics Education contribute to the lack of student involvement during modern physics lectures. The learning approach primarily revolves around lecturers, and the effectiveness of Zoom for online learning among students is limited. Therefore, the aim of this research is to design a virtual lab-based learning module integrated with project-based learning to enhance students' conceptual understanding. This research employed a development method with the 4D model. The research subjects included two expert validators to assess the product's feasibility, five students for small-group trials, and 22 students for effectiveness trials. Validators were given questionnaires to evaluate the module's feasibility, while students were given questionnaires to gauge their responses to the module. To evaluate the efficacy of the module, students underwent pre-tests and post-tests consisting of 5 essay questions. Analysis encompassed consolidating validation outcomes and student feedback. Concurrently, test results were assessed using N-Gain tests and paired t-tests. The research outcomes indicated that the integration of virtual lab-based learning with PBL in modern physics was both feasible and effective in enhancing students' conceptual comprehension.

Abstract

The learning setting refers to the combined social, psychological, and pedagogical circumstances which have the potential to impact students' learning, accomplishments, and attitudes. This research aims to analyze the STEM-Project Based Learning environment in the Basic Electronics course. The research method used is quantitative with a survey design. The research subjects are 65 students enrolled in the Basic Electronics course in the Physics Education program at the University of Jambi. Data collection is conducted through surveys. The survey instrument uses the WIHIC instrument. The research findings indicate that out of the 7 WIHIC indicators, namely student cohesiveness, teacher support, involvement, order and organization, task orientation, cooperation, and equity, data reveals that there are still issues in the implementation of STEM-Project Based Learning, particularly in the areas of teacher support and involvement. As an illustration, data indicates that 42.9% of students perceive that the teacher occasionally succeeds in engaging their attention during STEM-Project Based Learning. On the other hand, positive aspects are frequently observed in the equity indicator. This is evident in STEM-Project Based Learning, where 50% of the students feel they are given equal opportunities to answer questions during discussions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model and motivation on student learning outcomes. The type of research used was quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design not randomly. The type of research design used is a 2x2 factorial design. The population in this study were students of grade VIII junior high school first semester. The samples used were class VIII A and VIII C, the samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. Learning achievement data was measured using a learning achievement test and motivational data was measured using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using two way ANOVA. The results of the analysis show that the difference in post-test scores for the experimental class is higher than that for the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: 1) There is an effect of using the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model on students' science learning outcomes. 2) There is a motivational influence on students' science learning outcomes. 3) There is no interaction between the use of the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model and motivation on student learning outcomes. Key words: Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model, motivation and learning outcomes   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) dan motivasi terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian pretest-postest grup kontrol tidak secara random. Jenis rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain factorial 2x2. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP semester satu. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas VIII A dan VIII C, sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data prestasi belajar diukur dengan menggunakan tes prestasi belajar dan data motivasi diukur dengan menggunakan angket kuesioner. Data di analisis dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa selisih nilai post test untuk kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa. 2) Terdapat pengaruh motivasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa. 3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) dan motivasi terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hasil validitas dan kesesuaian lembar kembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis proyek materi observabel dan operator pada mata kuliah fisika kuantum. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan four-D yang terdiri dari tahap define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan dessiminate (penyebaran). Penilaian kevalidan dilakukan sebanyak dua tahap oleh validator ahli materi dan validator ahli media. Butir penilaian untuk validator ahli materi sebanyak 16 pertanyaan dan validator ahli media sebanyak 17 pertanyaan dengan kriteria nilai sangat baik (4), baik (3), cukup baik (2), dan tidak baik (1). Hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli media menunjukkan bahwa lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis proyek materi observabel dan operator adalah sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 3,69 dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat sesuai untuk digunakan dalam perkuliahan fisika kuantum. Diharapkan dengan dibuatnya lembar kerja berbasis proyek dalam pembelajaran fisika kuantum, akan memudahkan mahasiswa memahami materi dan meningkatkan keaktifan mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Misconceptions experienced by students must be identified, reduced, and remediated so that they do not become obstacles for students in their learning process. This study aims to reduce students' misconceptions about static fluids using interactive media developed using the Nearpod Platform based on Posner's conceptual change theory. The research design used was a one-group pre-test post-test design study, by conducting a pre-test, providing actions or treatments, and post-tests to 31 sample high school students. The test instruments and interactive media were first developed with a fairly strict validation process regarding content, construct, and face. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to measure the effectiveness of the learning platform in reducing misconceptions. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Nearpod interactive learning platform based on Posner's conceptual change theory can significantly reduce students' misconceptions of the material of hydrostatic pressure and Archimedes' law, with a decrease in the percentage of misconceptions from an average of 34.83% in the pretest to 18.06% in the posttest. Therefore, the Conceptual Change Text strategy through Nearpod media has effectively reduced misconceptions.

Abstract

Belum adanya sumber belajar berupa bahan ajar penuntun praktikum fisika modern yang khusus dikembangkan untuk mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Jambi menjadi alasan dilakukan penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hal ini perlu dilakukan pengembangan bahan ajar untuk mendukung perkuliahan mata kuliah fisika modern. Salah satu materi yang dikembangkan bahan ajarnya adalah materi difraksi celah tunggal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan, dimana dalam pelaksanaannya menggunakan model 4D. Salah satu tahapan pengembangan bahan ajar yang dilakukan adalah uji ahli. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen non-tes yaitu berupa angket. Ahli atau validator dalam penelitian ini adalah dosen pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Jambi. Validitas bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dinilai oleh validator melalui angket.. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar penuntun praktikum fisika modern pada materi difraksi celah tunggal untuk menghitung panjang gelombang laser He-Ne dan laser dioda cukup valid dengan nilai validasi 3,33 dan sangat baik dengan nilai 3,83.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pengembangan e-modul fisika kuantum pada materi fungsi gelombang, mengetahui kelayakan pengembangan e-modul, dan mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap e-modul fungsi gelombang menggunakan flip pdf professional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Namun penelitian ini masih sebatas tahap pengembangan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket validasi ahli materi, ahli media, dan persepsi siswa. Jenis datanya adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh melalui validasi ahli dan persepsi siswa. Pada hasil akhir validasi ahli materi diperoleh skor rata-rata mencapai 4,94 dengan kategori sangat baik. Selanjutnya hasil akhir validasi ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,82 dengan kategori sangat baik. Kemudian dilakukan uji coba operasional lapangan dengan rata-rata skor mencapai 4,22 dengan kategori sangat baik. Keunggulan utama e-modul yang dikembangkan adalah hadirnya video cara membaca rumus, video pembelajaran tambahan, kuis, dan contoh soal yang memudahkan pemahaman materi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul fisika kuantum pada materi fungsi gelombang menggunakan professional flip pdf yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat baik untuk digunakan dan disebarluaskan sebagai sumber belajar pelengkap bagi siswa.
