Abstract

The background of this research is less optimal learning of science grade IV of elementary school in Tugu subdistrict semester I of academic year 2017/2018. Students have not shown a good scientific attitude so that science learning achievement is not optimal yet. The classical passing grade of science is still less than 85%. For the same case, other researchers have applied a quantum teaching model with multiple intelligences to improve learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to know the impact of multiple intelligences approach through quantum teaching model to scientific attitude and science learning outcomes in the  fourth grade student on plant part structure material. This research was conducted at the SDN Tugurejo 01 and the SDN Tugurejo 03 Semarang academic year 2016/2017. This research method is true experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design model. The sampling technique chosen is probability sampling with simple random sampling model. The result on scientific attitude of experimental class is 78,4% belongs to a good category while the passing grade of science learning is 87,9% with average score 81. Result on scientific attitude of control class 70,97% belongs to medium category while passing grade of science learning 81.3% with an average of 76. The conclusion of this study is learning by multiple intelligences approach through quantum teaching model more effective to improve scientific attitudes and science learning outcomes than learning by quantum teaching model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of science process skills towards grade IV elementary school student science learning using a socio-cultural inquiry model. This research type is Quasy Experimental Design with the form of non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used is the type of Cluster Random Sampling. The result of n-gain analysis shows that the Inquiry in the observing, classifying, communicating, and inferring aspect control class gets 0.10; 0.07; 0.09, and -0.08. All aspects of the science process skills are in the low category, while using the socio-cultural Inquiry class observing aspects get 0.61 medium category, classifying get 0.45 as medium category, communicating get 0.26 as low category, and inferring to get 0.30 as low category. The results of the t-test show the difference in the average results of the science process skills on the observing with the result of Sig. (2-tailed)  of 0.004 < 0.05 and tvalue of 2.94 > ttable = 2.04. Aspect classifying Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.015 < 0.05 and tvalue of 2.49 > ttable = 2.04. Inferring aspects Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.042 < 0.05 and tvalue of 2.07 > ttable = 2.04. But in the aspect of communicating there is no difference in the average learning outcomes of science process skills between the experimental group and the control group with the results of Sig.  (2-tailed) of 0.321 > 0.05 and tvalue 1.000 < ttable = 2.04. The conclusions of this study are the results of the science process skills of the experimental group are higher than the results of the control process of science process skills.

Abstract

In this research, the students' science learning outcomes that have not yet achieved completeness. Learning model can facilitate students to learn optimally is the project-based learning (PjBL) model according to edupreneurship. The model is driven by creativity and innovation of 21st century skills. This research conducted to; 1) analyze the effect of the model on students' curiosity; 2) analyze the effect of model on students' science knowledge outcomes and 3) analyze the effect of the model on science process skills. This research method is a quasy experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The control class should be used project-based learning model and the project-based learning model according to edupreneurship was used experimental class. The subjects of this study were 177 students with purposive sampling technique. Data in the form of learning outcomes are collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The conclutions of the study is the model effective to use and affeted toward outcomes learning of students’ coriusity aspect on science subject. The model has not been affecting the students’ learning outcomes of knowledge on science subject. The model efefctively to use and influences learning outcomes about students’ scientific proceeding skill on learning science subject.
