Abstract

Pendampingan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam berbahasa asing pada proses pembelajaran Yayasan pondokpesantren Nurul Huda yang merupakan bentuk solusi dalam upaya mengimplementasikan kurikulum yang sudahdisusun bagi unit-unit didalamnya. Kurikulumnya berisi bahwa guru dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas diwajibkan menggunakan dua Bahasa asing yaitu Bahasa Inggris dan Bahasa Arab. Unit Pendidikan di Yayasanpondok pesantren Nurul Huda terdiri dari beberapa jenjang baik formal dan informal. Guru diharapkan untukmampu memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan Bahasa asing dengan baik. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalahmeningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam berbahasa asing (Bahasa Inggris) dan juga mampu menggunakannyapada proses pembelajaran dikelas secara langsung. Sasaran kegiatan adalah seluruh guru yang mengajar padaunit Yayasan pondok pesantren Nurul Huda dengan metode edukasi dan pelatihan, diskusi dan ceramah, sertapendampingan Bahasa asing (Bahasa Inggris). Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa adanyaperbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan awal dan akhir pada saat proses kegiatan. Lebih jauh lagiditemukan bahwa guru sebenarnya sudah memiliki kemampuan dasar yang cukup untuk dikembangkan dalammewujudkan komunikasi berbahasa asing dalam pembelajaran dikelas secara baik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe didactic values in the "Percy Jackson And The Olympians Lightning Thief" novel by Rick Riordan. This study employed a descriptive qualitative methodology. The method for gathering data in this study has several steps, namely novel identification, identification of unit analysis, data collection, and data categorization The data source for this research was Percy Jackson And The Olympians Lightning Thief novel by Rick Riordan. The Didactic values that were the focus of this research were Sharing, Responsibility, Empathy, and Helping Others. Based on the results of data analysis found didactic values as many as 26 data. The first number of findings, Sharing values were 6 (23%) findings. It was a value that focused on sharing activities that can be beneficial. Second, Responsible values with a total of 10 (39%) findings. It was a value that focused on being responsible in doing anything. Third, Empathy Values with a total of 6 (23%) findings. It was a value that focused on understanding what other people feel and think. And the Fourth is helping Other values with a total of 4 (15%) findings. It was a value that focused on helping each other. Thus, from this amount, it can be concluded that the novel Percy Jackson And The Olympians Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan found many didactic values with a total of 26 data findings and the most dominant Didactic values were found Responsible values with 10 data findings.

Abstract

Cerita rakyat merupakan budaya lokal yang memiliki peran penting untuk memberikan nilai teladan dan norma moral kepada generasi muda di Indonesia. Perkembangan teknologi memberikan ruang dan keharusan untuk melakukan inovasi dalam melestarikan budaya yang ada. Animasi 2 dimensi dapat menjadi alternatif media yang dapat digunakan dengan menggabungkan audio, visual yang di sampaikan melalui gambar bergerak yang dapat memberikan fokus dan minat audience untuk mengetahui tentang cerita yang disajikan. Pembuatan karakter dalam animasi memiliki peran yang penting dalam menunjang ketercapaian sebuah cerita yang disampaikan. Proses dalam pembuatan karakter penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mencari referensi yang relefan yang selanjutnya digunakan sebagai acuan dalam pembuatan karakter dan mulai membuat sketsa atau ilustrasi dalam bentuk garis yang kemudian dilakukan tahap pewarnaan untuk memperkuat kesan karakter yang akan dibangun.

Abstract

Literasi mempunyai arti penting, sebagaimana selaras dengan mandat pendidikan di Indonesia.Saat ini, pendidikan khususnya di tingkat sekolah dasar, berfokus pada peningkatan keterampilan literasi.Berdasarkan hasil obesrvasi yang telah dilakukan di ketahui bahwa minat baca peserta didik sangat rendah bahkan terdapat beberapa peserta didik di kelas tinggi yang belum bisa dan lancar membaca. Melihat masalah yang timbul diharapkan dengan adanya program pengabdian ini dapat memberikan dampak positif yang dapat menumbuhkan semangat siswa untuk membaca dan meningkatkan kemampuan literasinya.Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini mahasiswa berupaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi pada diri setiap siswa SD di Desa Kuripan dengan menggunakan metode Storytelling. Selama tahap pengembangan, Storytelling digunakan untuk mengkomunikasikan informasi modul pembelajaran secara efektif. Di SD Negeri desa Kuripan sangatlah antusias mendengarkan dan mempraktekkan. Pendidik harus memiliki kemampuan menceritakan anekdot sekaligus mendiskusikan berbagai tantangan, guna membangun rasa hubungan emosional antara siswa dan gurunya.

Abstract

This study that conducteid to deiteirminei wheitheir theirei is any significant diffeireincei beitweiein studeints who arei taught by using Rolei, Audieincei, Format, Topic (RAFT) Strateigy and studeints who arei taught by using conveintional strateigy in teiaching writing achieiveimeint. Thei study useid quantitativei reiseiarch by using eixpeirimeintal meithod and quasi-eixpeirimeintal deisign. Meianwhilei, thei population is thei eileiveinth gradei studeints by thei samplei around 47 studeints.Thei sampeil was takein by using  purposivei sampling, consist of control group with 23 studeints and eixpeirimeintal group with 24 studeints. Moreiveir, teichnique i of colleicting thei data useid thei writtein teist that givein twicei prei-teist and post-teist, and thei analyzing data useid by Indeipeindeint samplei t-teist by using SPSS 16. Baseid on thei statistic analysis, it was found that thei valuei of significant (2-taileid) is 0.000, whilei thei meian of sig.(2-taileid) leiss than 0,05. Theireiforei, thei finding of this study showeid that theirei is a significant diffeireincei beitweiein eixpeirimeintal group and control group. Theireiforei, thei writeir concludeid that Rolei, Audieincei, Format, Topic (RAFT) strateigy is influeinceis in teiaching writing achieiveimeint.

Abstract

Kahoot! Game is one of the advancements in learning technology. It can facilitate and motivate the students for being active and understanding the content of the text. This study aimed to find out whether there is or not any significant difference between the students who are taught by using Kahoot! Game and the students who are taught by using conventional game and to find out the impact of using Kahoot!. Altogether in this study, the writer used mixed-method and explanatory sequential mixed method design which involving 39 students of the fourth-semester students of English Education Program of STKIP Nurul Huda by using reading comprehension test for quantitative data and observation, questionnaire, and interview for qualitative data. The findings were the effect of Kahoot! Game in teaching reading comprehension achievement is a very high impact on engagement, perception and motivation, and positive attitude. It influenced students’ reading comprehension achievement. Therefore, it can be concluded that by using Kahoot! Game with high engagement, perception, motivation, and positive attitude of the students can influence their reading comprehension achievement.

Abstract

To follow up on previous research and improve reading comprehension by developing literacy-based teaching materials for the yellow book were the reason for conducting this research. The research objective was to produce teaching materials learning products in the form of student worksheets for literal reading comprehension based on yellow book literacy in the PBSI STKIP Nurul Huda Sukaraja study program. This research was a kind of development research. The method used was the model development method. The population was all students of the PBSI study program first semester, with 15 students as a sample. The approach used was a mixed-method—data collection techniques in observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The analysis technique that used was qualitative and quantitative data. The analysis findings showed that the teaching materials were in the form of student worksheets, which have special characters proven to help students learn literal reading comprehension material. Furthermore, based on quantitative analysis, it was found that the t-test of sig. (2 tailed) = 0.043 ≤ 0.05.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out whether any significant difference between students who are taught by using Spotify Application and the students who are taught by using coventional media toward their listening skill at the eighth grade students of SMP Pangudi Luhur Sukaraja. The type of the research used quantitative research, with experimental method and quasi experimental design. The population was the Eighth grade students of SMP Pangudi Luhur Sukaraja in academic year 2023/2024. The sample was taken by using Purposive Sampling, consisted of experimental group with 21 students and control group with 20 students. The research was collected using completion test and analyzed with the independent t-test SPSS 22. The result of tobtained was higher than ttable (4.213 > 2.022) and the value of sig. (2 tailed)=0.000 less than the value of significance level (0.05). So, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The finding of the research showed that there is a sigificant difference between experimental group and control group. This meant that Spotify Application is suitable to used in teaching and learning listening  skill at the eighth grade students of SMP Pangudi Luhur Sukaraja.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how many is type of the concept of antihero represented by John Wick in Movie “John Wick Chapter 4” by Chad Stahelski. The theory to analyse is from John F Rauthmann that causes three darks human trait, they are Narcissists, Machiavellians, Psychopaths. Moreover, this study focused on analyzing these three aspect of Antihero shown by John Wick they are Narcissists, Machiavellians, Psychopaths. Based on the results of data analysis found there are 41 data. They are the Narcissist (NRC) is 14 data (34%), Machiavellians (MCH) with a total of 16 data (39%), and Psychopaths (PSP) with a total of 11 data (27%). Therefore, it can be concluded that many uses of by the type of the concept of antihero represented by John Wick with a total of 41 data findings and the most dominant use is Machiavellians (MCH) with 16 data (39 %).

Abstract

The title of this study is An Analysis of Lexical Cohesion in the Novel Alice in Wonderland. The purpose of this study is to explore the type and amount of lexical cohesion in Lewis Carroll's novel Alice in Wonderland. The method that the writer used is descriptive qualitative method. The technique of data collection used in this study involves several steps such as reading the novel searching for lexical cohesion in the novel and make a note of lexical cohesion in the novel. The source of data for this study is Lewis Carroll's novel Alice in Wonderland. The lexical cohesion that is the focus of this research are repetition, synonym, superordinate, and general noun. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found as much as 103 data. They were 64 findings (62%) of repetition, 11 findings (10,5%) of synonym, 24 findings (23,5%) of superordinate and 4 findings (4%) of general noun. From the finding above it can be seen that the most domineering is Repetition with 64 data findings with a percentage of 62 %.
