Abstract

Ecotourism is a form of sustainable tourism that has the potential to provide economic benefits to local communities while maintaining environmental sustainability. The presence of ecotourism destinations is expected to create business and employment opportunities that can improve the welfare of surrounding communities. This study aims to examine the impact of ecotourism on the income of local communities around the Wisata Alam Taman Rusa tourism destination in Aceh Besar Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of village officials, tourism managers, business owners, workers, and other relevant stakeholders selected purposively. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by SWOT analysis to identify internal and external factors influencing tourism development. The findings indicate that the existence of Wisata Alam Taman Rusa has positively affected local community income through the creation of business opportunities and employment. In addition, tourism activities contribute to village revenue and support local economic development. Therefore, sustainable ecotourism management has significant potential to enhance the welfare of local communities.

Abstract

The problem of waste, especially plastic waste, is a major challenge in maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability. Lack of awareness and knowledge of the community, especially students, in managing waste is the main cause of increasing pollution. Through a community service program at SMP N 54 Palembang, educational efforts were made by implementing a demonstration method in science learning to improve students' understanding of plastic waste management. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, targeting grade VIII students. The results of the activity showed that the demonstration method was effective in guiding students to process plastic waste into useful craft products, such as bags from used detergent packaging. In addition to increasing environmental awareness and student creativity, this activity also has the potential to provide economic value. The application of this environmental-based contextual learning proves the importance of integrating environmental education in the teaching and learning process to create a generation that cares and is responsible for the environment.

Abstract

Generasi    muda secara    umum    dapat    dipandang    sebagai    suatu    fase    siklus pembentukan  kepribadian  manusia,  sebagaimana  juga  dalam  fase-fase  lainnya, maka  generasi      muda      ini mempunyai      ciri      sendiri      yang      mempengaruhi dan dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan  sekitarnya Dalam  pola  pembinaan  dan  pengembangan  generasi  muda . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan filosofis. Upaya pemuda dalam melestarikan tradisi ningkuk ini dirasa perlu dan penting dilakukan karena saat ini masih banyak di indonesia yang belum atau bahkan tidak menjaga dan melestarikan tradisi yang ada, serta kurangnya minat pemuda pemudi untuk berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pelestarian tradisi ningkuk. Diharapkan dari hasil penelitian ini, pemuda indonesia dapat mengoptimalkan kegiatan mereka dalam melestarikan tradisi yang ada. Karena pada dasarnya suatu tradisi akan tetap terjaga bila para pemuda dan pemudi ikut andil dalam kegiatan untuk melestarikan tradisi
