Abstract

Lebah madu berperan penting dalam menjamin tersedianya sumber pangan bagi mahluk hidup di bumi ini. Untuk mengenal lebih dekat peran itu dilakukan edukasi pada Generasi Alfa untuk memberikan pengetahuan yang lebih baik tentang pentingnya keberlanjutan dan peran mereka dalam menjaga ekosistem. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Pematangsiantar dengan peserta berasal dari kelas empat sampai kelas enam berjumlah sekitar 150 orang. Kegiatan menggunakan alat dan bahan peraga untuk lebih mengenal lebih dekat lebah madu. Para peserta antusias dalam mengajukan pertanyaan dan menjawab pertanyaan yang diajukan. Peserta kegiatan mengetahui peran penting lebah bukan hanya sebagai pengahasil madu namun juga sebagai penyerbuk tanaman

Abstract

Aim: This study explores the key factors influencing the success of tilapia hatchery businesses in Nagori Wonorejo, with a particular focus on social capital and social media utilization. By understanding these factors, the research aims to provide insights into effective strategies that can enhance business sustainability and competitiveness in the aquaculture sector.Method: A quantitative research design was applied, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis to assess the relationship between social capital, social media utilization, and business success. Data were obtained through structured questionnaires distributed to tilapia hatchery entrepreneurs. To ensure reliability and validity, statistical evaluations, including validity tests, reliability assessments, and hypothesis testing, were conducted using appropriate analytical tools.Findings: The results indicate that social capital does not have a significant partial effect on business success, likely due to the fluctuating nature of social interactions, which makes its influence inconsistent. However, social media utilization plays a crucial role, significantly contributing to business expansion through digital marketing, customer interactions, and network development. When examined collectively, social capital and social media utilization together influence business performance, suggesting that while social capital alone may not drive success, its combination with digital strategies enhances efficiency and market reach.Significance: These findings emphasize the increasing importance of digital adaptation in aquaculture businesses, demonstrating that entrepreneurs who effectively integrate digital tools with strong business relationships have a greater likelihood of achieving long-term stability and competitive advantage. This study provides practical insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders in developing supportive policies, funding opportunities, and training programs to strengthen the resilience and growth of small-scale hatchery businesses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan tinjauan pustaka yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan wilayah berbasis pariwisata sebagai strategi peningkatan pendapatan daerah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif berdasarkan data sekunder yang diambil dari Google Scholar dalam rentang tahun 2014-2025. Dari 30 artikel yang diperoleh, sebanyak 17 artikel dipilih setelah seleksi ketat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan pariwisata berbasis wilayah memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pendapatan asli daerah (PAD) melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal, pembangunan infrastruktur, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Studi kasus seperti Labuan Bajo, Desa Nglanggeran, Banyuwangi, dan Desa Penglipuran mengilustrasikan keberhasilan implementasi pendekatan ini. Namun, tantangan seperti over-tourism dan keberlanjutan lingkungan memerlukan perhatian khusus untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pelestarian sumber daya. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis berupa rekomendasi kepada pemerintah, masyarakat, dan sektor swasta dalam mengoptimalkan potensi pariwisata sebagai penggerak utama pembangunan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

The limited land available has made the community less interested in farming. Even the small amount of household vegetable needs is obtained from markets and stalls. For this reason, the community needs to be given knowledge of vegetable farming by utilizing existing land so that at least it is able to meet the family's vegetable needs and if possible, can increase household income. The output plan for this activity is: (1) Participants have technical skills in cultivating several types of vegetables; (2) Participants have technical knowledge and skills of hydroponic system vegetable cultivation; (3) Participants are able to produce several types of fresh vegetables; (4) Participants receive additional income; and (5) The local area can become a demonstration plot for similar activities. Methods and outcomes of activities: extension (100%), hydroponic vegetable cultivation practice (100%), sales (25%), and promotion activities (25%). The results and outcomes obtained in the community service activities carried out include increased public understanding of vegetable cultivation and hydroponic systems, vegetable self-sufficiency, utilization of empty space in the yard.

Abstract

Houses in urban areas generally have limited yard land. With a little creativity, the limited yard land can be used for hydroponic vegetable cultivation. This activity aims to disseminate hydroponic system vegetable cultivation by utilizing limited land for home gardens in urban areas. Activities carried out in the form of counseling, cultivation practices and the manufacture of ab-mix nutrition as well as assistance in hydroponic vegetable cultivation. This activity is able to increase participants' knowledge by producing vegetables for consumption and has the potential to be developed into additional household income

Abstract

The types of honey bees commonly found in Indonesia are Apis and Trigona. In Nagori Bahsulung, Apis dorsata, Apis cerana, and Trigona bees were found. Seeing this, it is necessary to carry out socialization activities and practices for cultivating honey bees for the local community. The methods used include pre - training (presentation of material), honey bee cultivation practices, comparative studies, and periodic and ongoing assistance. In cultivation practices, identification of the types of bees in Nagori Bahsulung is carried out, namely by looking directly at the existing bee colonies, both apis and trigona. Comparative study activities were carried out at the KUBE Takoma bee education tourism site, Pematang Sidamanik. Ongoing assistance continues to be provided to partner groups until the transferred science and technology can be implemented independently. This activity concluded that Nagori Bahsulung, has the potential to develop honey bee cultivation with the large number of existing honey bees, both apis and trigona bees. Apart from that, the surrounding environment is very supportive of the availability of abundant food sources, including vegetation sources of nectar, pollen, and resin. With this socialization and cultivation training, activity participants better understand the potential of their village and have basic skills in cultivating honey bees. It is recommended to add vegetation as another food source for bees to ensure food availability, especially during the rainy season.

Abstract

Setiap daerah memiliki identitas yang perlu dijaga dan dilindungi, sehingga generasi muda tidak kehilangan identitas. Sama halnyadaerah Sidamanik Kabupaten Simalungun yang memiliki ciri khas Teh sebagai komoditas pertanian ungulan yang saat ini dikelola oleh PTPN IV. Harapannya agar pihak PTPN IV juga mengakomodasi sejarah dan perkembangan kebun teh melalui museum yang dapat dinikmati oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat sebagai sarana edukasi, sehingga dapat mengetahui sejarah dan hagemoni kejayaan kebun teh sejak era kolonial hingga saat ini. Dengan didirikannya museum dapat memberikan warna baru dalam kunjungan wisata di daerah Sidamanik, yang sebelumnya hanya dijadikan sebagai tempat berfoto atau tempat beristirahat sambil makan bersama keluarga tanpa mendapatkan edukasi tentang kebun teh yang memiliki sejarah besar mulai dari era kolonial hingga saat ini. Dengan alasan yang telah dikemukakan di atas, diharapkan nantinya pihak perkebunan teh Sidamanik milik PTPN IV dapat memahami kebutuhan hal tersebut, sehingga memiliki keinginan untuk mendirikan museum teh yang menjadi sarana edukasi bagi masyarakat yang berkunjung ke Sidamanik.

Abstract

Brown sugar is crystallized palm sugar. Some of the reasons why palm sugar is healthier than granulated sugar is that the calories contained in palm sugar are smaller than white sugar so palm sugar is often referred to as low-calorie sugar, and palm sugar also has a lower glycemic index, namely of 35 while in granulated sugar the glycemic index is 58. The optimal way to improve the structure of melted sugar is by processing it into granular sugar, namely through re-melting of molded sugar with the addition of water into a sugar solution. The addition of granulated sugar and seed was found to have an effect on the yield, total sugar, sucrose, and the level of preference for color, taste and aroma, but decreased water content, reducing sugar, browning index and aroma level.The best treatment is the addition of 30% granulated sugar with a seeding temperature of 120 0C, in general it meets the requirements of SII where the water content, 2.75%, reducing sugar 4.35%, sucrose 81.14, total sugar 89.86, ash content, 1 .91%, browning index 0.20 abs/g and 81.36 yield. While the most preferred organoleptic test is the addition of 30% granulated sugar with a seeding temperature of 120 0C with a color value of 6.95, aroma 5.70 and taste 5.70. Economic analysis of melted molded sugar gives a profit of IDR 778,800/month, while improving the quality by processing ant sugar gives a profit of Rp. 1,606,000/month (all inputs are calculated at cost), If the allocation of family labor is categorized as family income plus the use of other materials that are not paid, then the income is Rp. 4,278,000/month for sugar. printing and Rp. 5,456,000/month for ant sugar. The processing of ant sugar is classified as a profitable business with a relatively higher price level than printed sugar

Abstract

There are honey-producing bees that have a sting and do not have a sting (stingless bee). The last type of bee is still rarely known to the public. To introduce these bees, socialization needs to be done. Socialization activities use the method of extension and dissemination of science and technology. This activity explains the conditions of the honey market in Indonesia, types of honey bees, determinants of production, benefits and techniques for harvesting honey and stingless bee pollen. During the activity, the participants enthusiastically listened to the material and played an active role, especially during the discussion and question and answer sessions regarding honey harvesting and pollen processing techniques. For the practice of stingless honey bee cultivation, bee colonies of the Heterotrigona itama species are given to the target community group

Abstract

Peningkatan jalan ruas Simpang Sonom ke Haranggaol sepanjang 18 km mendorong pengembangan pariwisata di kawasan Danau Toba. Kegiatan pengabdian ini melakukan penilaian potensi pariwisata dan menyusun model pengembangan pariwisata pedesaan berkelanjutan (PPPB) di Nagori Togu Domu Nauli (TDN). Pariwisata belum berkembang di wilayah ini akibat buruknya aksesibilitas selama puluhan tahun. Melihat potensi pantai, agrowisata, alam, budaya, dan masyarakat lokal; kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun konsep awal model PPPB. Metode yang digunakan adalah reviu hasil penelitian/pengabdian sebelumnya, survei awal, pedoman observasi, plotting, RRA, dan penyusunan model. Komponen PPPB di Nagori TDN terdiri dari pantai, agrowisata, atraksi, dan masyarakat lokal. Komponen pantai terdiri dari prasarana pantai (joglo/pondok, jalur pedestrian), permainan/wisata air, fasilitas berenang, fasilitas memancing, kuliner lokal, pohon dan buah mangga, dan spot foto. Komponen agrowisata meliputi kebun kopi arabika Sigarar Utang, pengolahan kopi arabika, cafe (Simalungun specialty), demplot kebun bawang merah, demplot kebun stroberi, budidaya lebah madu, dan spot foto. Sementara komponen atraksi terdiri dari demo prosesing kopi arabika spesialti dan produksi madu. PPPB ini memerlukan dukungan dari semua pemangku kepentingan: pemerintah kabupaten (Dinas Pariwisata), perguruan tinggi, perusahaan publik dan swasta, masyarakat lokal, dan media. Pengembangan wisata komponen pantai dan komponen agrowisata, kegiatan pengabdian ini telah mengidentifikasi empat lokasi potensial. Model awal dan konsep denah lokasi disajikan pada bagian akhir naskah ini.
