Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Ispring Quiz Maker terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi bilangan bulat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Bolaang Mongondow Utara Tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 yang terdiri dari 3 kelas dengan jumlah 99 siswa dan sampel penelitian diambil dua kelas dengan cara Teknik Random Sampling. Yang diperoleh kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen atau kelas yang dibelajarkan dengan media Ispring Quiz Maker dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol atau kelas yang dibelajrkan menggunakan media Power Point dan Quizizz. Dalam penelitian ini hasil analisis inferensial menunjukan bahwa kedua data berdistribusi normal serta homogen sehingga dilanjutkan dengan pengujian kovarians (Uji ANACOVA) yang memperoleh hasil H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga dalam hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa lebih tinggi setelah dibelajarkan menggunakan media ispring Quiz Maker dibandingkan dengan menggunakan media Power Point dan Quizizz. Dengan hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh positif penggunaan media Ispring Quiz Maker terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a reasoning proces aimed at concluding by first gathering clear data or information. This study aims to analyze the critical thinking skills or male and female students in the Pythagorean Theorem learning material in Class VIII A and Class VIII B at SMP Negeri 1 Botupingge. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive research design. The instruments used were tests and interviews. The findings show that in class VIII A, used for validation, empirical testing identified both valid and invalid test items, and the reliability test indicated a very high level of reliability. In class VIII B, where the actual study was conducted, the percentage of male students’ critical thinking skills was 8.33% (high), 75.00% (moderate), and 16.67% (low). Meanwhile, the percentage of famale students was 25.00% (high), 75.00% (moderate), and 0.00% (low).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan dalam pengembangan e-modul matematika dengan basis Problem-Based Learning (PBL) pada materi perbandingan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Wonosari. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode pengembangan dengan model 4D (Define, design, develop & disseminate) dengan mendapatkan validasi dari ahli media dan materi serta mengukur uji kepraktisan oleh guru dan siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan e-modul dianggap sangat layak dengan perolehan skor validasi yaitu 86,75% dan skor praktis yaitu 88,64%. E-modul ini diperkaya dengan beberapa fitur yang dapat dipilih antara lain; video, kuis dan permainan yang menyesuaikan dengan kurikulum merdeka. Hasil produk penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pilihan dalam pembelajaran matematika yang inovatif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Adanya problematika siswa dalam menganalisis soal cerita pada materi perbandingan, yang menyebabkan penurunan hasil belajar siswa menjadi dasar dilakukannya penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan tahapan-tahapan pemecahan masalah Polya dalam pembelajaran PBL bisa meningkatkan capaian hasil belajar matematika peserta didik pada topik perbandingan. Pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025, sebanyak 31 siswa dari kelas VII-2 SMPN 1 Wonosari terlibat dalam PTK. Data diperoleh dari pengamatan observasi dan ujian tes, kemudian dianalisis dengan melihat kegiatan guru dan siswa, serta tes hasil belajar siswa. Prosedur penelitian mencakup tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi, selama dua siklus pelaksanaan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa capaian belajar matematika peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dari 67,74% di siklus I menjadi 87,10% di siklus II, dengan kriteria yang awalnya "cukup baik" meningkat menjadi "sangat baik." Selain itu, observasi terhadap keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh guru juga mengalami peningkatan, dari 70,37% di siklus I dan memperoleh 87,04% di siklus II. Sementara itu, aktivitas siswa memperoleh 68,75% di siklus I kemudian 81,25% di siklus II.Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan langkah pemecahan masalah Polya terhadap model Problem Based Learning yang berfokus pada materi perbandingan berhasil menaikkan capaian hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika.

Abstract

One of the main challenges in learning advanced calculus is students' difficulty understanding complex concepts and visualizing function graphs, especially in learning partial derivatives. To overcome this challenge, this study focuses on developing an advanced differential e-module that integrates case studies with visual exploration. This study uses the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects are material experts and learning media. The trial subjects are 15 students from the Mathematics Education Study Program. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The research instruments include an assessment of the validity and practicality of the developed learning media. The techniques used in analyzing the data are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The study results indicate that this e-module achieves a good level of feasibility, which means that the module is in line with educational objectives and shows a very good level of practicality in the classroom. Students responded positively to its use, especially because of its case-based and visual nature. In addition, for further research, this e-module has the potential to be adapted to other areas of mathematics education by integrating additional technology features and other materials. By enhancing visualization and interactivity, this e-module can significantly enhance students' learning experience in mathematics education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media permainan berburu ubur-ubur terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa pada materi aljabar. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretestposttes kontrol group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Momalia tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 100 orang dan tersebar di 4 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling terpilih kelas VII-D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu pemberian tes kemampuan numerasi berbentuk essay. Analisis inferensial dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji ANAKOVA. Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) combined with interactive learning media on the mathematical problem-solving ability of eighth-grade students. The research aims to address the prevalent low levels of problem-solving competence among students by implementing an innovative student-centered learning approach. Using a quasi-experimental design with a post-test only control group, this study involved two classes selected through random sampling at SMP Negeri 1 Kwandang, with 30 students in each group. The experimental group received the NHT learning model supported by interactive media, while the control group was taught using a direct instruction method with the same media. Data were collected through validated problem-solving tests, analyzed using independent sample t-tests, normality and homogeneity tests, and effect size calculations. The results demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups, with the experimental group achieving higher problem-solving scores (mean score of 32.6 versus 27.9) and a high effect size (Cohen's d = 0.9032). These findings suggest that integrating NHT with interactive learning media effectively enhances students' mathematical problem-solving skills by fostering active engagement, collaboration, and conceptual understanding. The study highlights the importance of adopting interactive, student-centered learning models to improve mathematics education outcomes.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is a key component of students’ cognitive development, enabling them to understand, analyze, and apply mathematical concepts in various real-life situations. Despite its importance, many students struggle with problem-solving due to teacher-centered approaches and the lack of interactive, concept-oriented instructional models. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Heuristic Vee learning model in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving skills, particularly in the topic of two-dimensional shapes. The research employed a quasi-experimental method using a Non-Equivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The participants were two seventh-grade classes at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo, selected through purposive sampling based on class equivalence and teacher recommendations. The experimental group received instruction using the Heuristic Vee model, which involved problem exploration, concept mapping, and guided reflection, while the control group was taught through the direct instruction method. Data were collected through a post-test consisting of essay questions based on Polya’s four problem-solving stages. All instruments were validated by experts and tested for reliability. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, independent t-tests, and effect size measurement. The results showed that the experimental group achieved a higher mean post-test score (49.83) than the control group (31.70), with a significant t-value of 3.458 > 2.002 at the 5% significance level. The effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.89) was categorized as high. These findings indicate that the Heuristic Vee model significantly enhances students’ mathematical problem-solving skills and serves as an effective strategy for promoting student-centered and meaningful mathematics learning.

Abstract

The low level of students’ mathematical problem-solving ability remains a challenge in the learning process, particularly in statistics topics. One effective approach to address this issue is scaffolding, which provides temporary support that helps students understand problems and find solutions independently. However, in classroom settings, individualized scaffolding is often suboptimal due to the large number of students compared to the limited number of teachers and the relatively short instructional time. This study aims to develop a computer-based scaffolding interactive learning medium that is feasible and practical for enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving ability. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) design using the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The media were developed using Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, and iSpring Suite, and published via GitHub Pages for online accessibility. The validation results showed a feasibility score of 91.11% from material experts and 93.33% from media experts, both categorized as excellent. The practicality tests conducted by teachers and students each obtained a score of 92%, indicating that the media are easy to use and effective in facilitating learning. Therefore, the interactive learning media “Stafolding” are considered feasible and practical to be used as a computer-based scaffolding tool in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of problembased learning models assisted by wordwall media on the material of comparison of values and inversecomparison of values. This study is a classroom action research conducted on 26 students of class VII-Cat SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa as research subjects. The study was conducted in two cycles by following thestages of planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques werecarried out through observation sheets of teacher and student activities, as well as learning outcome tests.The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes throughProblem Based Learning assisted by wordwall media. This was obtained after the implementation of furtheractions to improve the teaching and learning process in cycle II. The results showed that observations ofall teacher activities in managing learning obtained at least good and very good aspects, observations ofall student activities obtained at least good and very good aspects, and students' mathematics learningoutcomes also increased by 65.4% to 88.46% of students who achieved the minimum completeness criteriaon the material of comparison of values and inverse comparison of values.
