Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts in relation and function material the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This Classroom Action Research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in Suwawa for the 2023/2024 academic year within two cycles. The subjects were 24 students in grade VIII 3 and a mathematics teacher. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation and tests. Consisting of observation sheets of teacher activities, students, and essay. From the observations, teacher activity increased by 12% from cycle 1(77% with the “good” category) to cycle II (89% with the “very good”category) and student activities increased by 27% from cycle 1 (60% with the “good” category) to cycle II (87% with “the very good” category). Likewise, students’ abilities to understand mathematical concept increased by 12% from 74% in cycle I to 86% in cycle II. Thus, there is a significant increasein the understanding of mathematical concept through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the learning process in schools. For this reason, researchers observed learning at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo, it was found that students were still not optimal in solving mathematical problems, especially in formulating steps to solve problems. This research aims to improve students' problem-solving abilities by using GeoGebra on three-dimensional material. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo in class XII IPA 5 from September to October of the 2022/2023 academic year with research subjects totaling 30 students. The research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which involves the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data was obtained from observation and written tests. Analysis of observation results was obtained by calculating scores for each aspect criterion observed both on the teacher observation sheet and the student observation sheet, while the written test was analyzed by referring to the minimum completeness criteria. The results of the research show that there is an increase in students' problem-solving abilities in three-dimensional material after taking action using the GeoGebra learning media.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari peneIitian ini adaIah untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan aplikasi filmora pada materi persamaan kuadrat kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Dulupi. PeneIitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Research and DeveIopment (R&D) dan modeI 4-D (Four D Model) yang memiIiki empat tahapan yaitu Define, Design, Develop dan Desiminate. Melalui tahapan 4-D dihasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan hasil analisis pada tahap uji ahli dengan hasil validasi ahli media dan ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata persentase 81,30% yang dikategorikan "Sangat Valid Digunakan". Kelayakan media diperoleh melalui hasil uji keterbacaan media oleh 6 orang siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Dulupi 90,53%, dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak Digunakan”. Kepraktisan media diperoleh melalui angket respon siswa dan guru matematika SMP Negeri 1 Dulupi terhadap video pebeIajaran interaktif berbantuan aplikasi filmora. Hasil angket respon siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Dulupi 93,47 % , hasil angket respon guru matematika SMP Negeri 1 Dulupi 80,35% dengan kriteria “Sangat Praktis Digunakan”. Kesimpulan bahwa video pebeIajaran interaktif berbantuan aplikasi filmora valid, layak, dan praktis untuk dapat diimplementasikan atau digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas.Kata Kunci: Video Interaktif, Filmora, Persamaan Kuadrat.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' analytical thinking skills in learning mathematics on fraction operations. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ponelo Kepulauan which involved 26 students. This data collection technique is in the form of essay tests and interviews totaling 8 questions. To measure students' ability to think analytically, 3 indicators are used, namely: 1) Differentiating, 2) Organizing, and 3) Connecting. The results of this study indicate that students' analytical thinking skills in learning mathematics for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Ponelo Kepulauan are still in the moderate category because they reach a percentage of. Furthermore, the results for each indicator also belong to the medium category because it achieves a presentation of 61.54% respectively; 53.85%; 65.38%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' written mathematical communication skills through a scientific approach. Implementation of actions is carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this research were 22 students in class VIII of SMP NEGERI 6 SATAP Telaga Biru, consisting of 10 men and 12 women. The techniques used in this research were observation and tests. The data analysis techniques in this research are teacher observation, student observation, and mathematical communication tests. Research procedures include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research consisted of 2 cycles. The results of the research show that there has been an increase in mathematical communication through scientific learning. This is shown by the research results that the scientific learning process has been running in accordance with the learning implementation plan and has succeeded in creating a conducive learning situation and improving mathematical communication. The results of the research showed that mathematical communication skills in cycle I were 55% poor criteria and in cycle II were 82% good criteria. The results of observations of teachers' teaching skills when managing learning has increased, in cycle I it reached 79.17\% of good criteria, while in cycle II it reached 90.97% of very good criteria. The results of observations of student learning activities have increased, from cycle I the percentage was 70.63 good criteria, whereas in cycle II it was 82.5% very good criteria.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the differences in student learning outcomes taught using the realistic mathematics approach (PMR) assisted by Obibul teaching aids and the learning outcomes of students taught using the direct learning model. The research method used is the experimental method, with a design namely pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling used a random sampling technique from 3 classes, namely classes VII.A, VII.B and VII.C, two classes were selected as samples with a total of 25 students as respondents for each class. Based on the results of the lottery drawing, class VII.B was selected as the experimental class which used a realistic mathematics approach (PMR) assisted by Obibul teaching aids while class VII.A was selected as the control class which used a direct learning model. The instrument used for research is in the form of a description/essay. Hypothesis testing uses the ANCOVA test which produces Fcount = 5.73, which is compared with the value of 𝐹table = 3.94 so that 𝐻0 is rejected. The results of this research concluded that there were differences in the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the realistic mathematics approach (PMR) assisted by Obibul teaching aids and the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the direct learning model.

Abstract

The use of learning media is still limited, making students tend to be more passive during the learning process. At SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa, the learning process predominantly uses textbooks, whiteboards, LKPD, and sometimes PowerPoint. These limitations make it difficult for students to understand the material, including mathematics lessons on the material of the System of Linear Equations of Three Variables (SPLTV) which requires image visualization. With the existing problems, research was conducted by utilizing technology which aims to develop mathematics learning media using the Sparkol VideoScribe application on SPLTV material which was carried out involving 20 class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa in June. This type of research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the four-D development model, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. Data analysis was carried out based on expert assessments, teachers, and student responses using a Likert scale. The development assessment was carried out based on the results of three media validators as well as learning materials and obtained validation results of 77% for media and 82% for materials with criteria worth using. The results of teacher and student responses obtained an average total percentage of 98% and 85% respectively which indicates that the media used meets practical criteria. For further research, it can develop learning media that attract more students' attention in learning activities and increase the activeness of students in learning activities, especially math lessons on SPLTV material.

Abstract

PPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Pendekatan Saintifik pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Bonepantai.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menarik minat belajar peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode R&D dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap: (1) Analisis (analysis), (2) Perancangan (Design), (3) Pengembangan (Development), (4) Implementasi (Implementation), dan (5) Evaluasi (Evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi ahli media, lembar validasi ahli materi, lembar penilaian guru dan lembar respon peserta didik. Hasil uji validasi ahli media dan ahli materi sebesar 92% dan 82% dengan kriteria “Sangat Valid”. Kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran diperoleh dari hasil penilaian guru dan respon peserta didik. Hasil penilaian guru 81% dengan kriteria “Sangat Praktis”, hasil respon peserta didik 96% kriteria “Sangat Praktis”. Sehingga perangkat pembelajaran ini layak digunakan di kelas. This research aims to create Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on a Scientific Approach on the Three Variable Linear Equation System material in grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Bonepantai.This research was conducted to attract students' interest in learning. This research implemented the R&D method with the ADDIE model in the following stages: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. It also utilized instruments of validation sheets from media and material experts, teacher assessment sheets, and student response sheets. The analysis found that the validation test results of media and material experts were 92% and 82% with “Very Valid” criteria. Likewise, the result of the feasibility of learning tools can be seen from the teacher assessment (81%)with “Very Pratical”  and student responses (96%) with “Very Pratical” criteria. In conclusion, the learning tool developed is suitable for classroom use.

Abstract

This study's objective is to determine the effect of the use of Electronic Student Worksheets (E-SW) based on Quizizz on student learning achievement. The type of research used in this study is quantitative, and it uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Where in this research design, students are given a pre-test first to determine students' initial knowledge, and the last is provided a post-test. The study's population was 87 students from grade X at Public Vocational School 1 Bulango Selatan. The research sample was chosen at random from two grades: grade X Askep B was used as an experimental grade to test E-SW based on Quizizz, and grade X Askep A was used as a control grade to compare how E-SW and textbooks are used. The findings showed that in the inferential analysis, pretest-posttest, both sets of data are normally distributed and homogeneous. This led to the covariance test (ANCOVA), which showed that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. So the results of this study show that student learning achievement are higher after being taught using E-SW based on Quizizz compared to using regular student worksheets. This means that using electronic student worksheets based on Quizizz has a positive influence on students' mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

Inovasi proses pembelajaran dalam penggunaan media yang kurang mempengaruhi pemahaman pelajar pada materi yang membutuhkan visualisasi. Riset berikut bertujuan guna menciptakan produk seperti media pembelajaran berbasiskan android yang valid dan efektif pada pokok bahasan teorema phytagoras yang bernama “The Jungle Of Phytagoras”. Media ini dikembangkan dengan 5 tahapan prosedur pengembangan model ADDIE yakni (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, serta Evaluation). Media berikut memperoleh presentase rata-rata penilaian yang diperoleh melalui 3 validator media senilai 87% dan dari 3 validator materi sebesar 87% yang ada pada kualifikasi sangat layak. Hasil respon media ini memperoleh presentase rata-rata perolehan skor dari respon guru matematika kelas VIII MTs. Al-Mubarak Marisa sebesar 90% dan respon dari 18 pelajar kelas VIII-C MTs. Al-Mubarak Marisa sebesar 90% yang ada pada kualifikasi sangat baik. Bersumber hasil analisis riset bisa ditarik simpulan bahwasanya pembelajaran melalui android berikut sudah sesuai kualifikasi keefektifan dan kelayakan dengan begitu layak dipakai pada pembelajaran dan efektif serta mampu menunjang pelajar dalam memahami materi teorema phytagoras
