Abstract

Traditional dances, like those of Indonesia, have complex and unique patterns requiring accurate cultural preservation and documentation classification. However, traditional dance classification methods often rely on manual analysis and subjective judgment, which leads to inconsistencies and limitations. This research explores a modified deep pattern classifier of traditional dance movements in videos, including Gambyong, Remo, and Topeng, using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Evaluation model's performance using a testing spatio-temporal dataset in Indonesian traditional dance videos is performed. The videos are processed through frame-level segmentation, enabling the CNN to capture nuances in posture, footwork, and facial expressions exhibited by dancers. Then, the obtained confusion matrix enables the calculation of performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and F1-score. The results showcase a high accuracy of 97.5%, indicating the reliable classification of the dataset. Furthermore, future research directions are suggested, including investigating advanced CNN architectures, incorporating temporal information through recurrent neural networks, exploring transfer learning techniques, and integrating user feedback for iterative refinement of the model. The proposed method has the potential to advance dance analysis and find applications in dance education, choreography, and cultural preservation.

Abstract

The Indonesian government continues to focuson boosting equitable access to environmentally friendlyelectricity to all levels of Indonesian society. This can be shownthrough the achievement of an electrification ratio of 99.40 percent in the third quarter of 2021 coupled with promisinggrowth in the capacity of Renewable Energy (RE) powerplants. Economic Dispatch (ED) aims to optimize the outputpower of generating units to minimize the total cost of powersystem operations. With the application of ED, the minimumgeneration cost will be obtained for the production of electricpower generated by generating units in an electricity systemwhile still paying attention to constraints. For hybrid plantssuch as the Selayar Solar Power Plant, the challenge toperforming ED is the intermittency of solar energy. So thatbefore the ED is carried out, solar radiation forecasting iscarried out using LSTM. To measure the accuracy offorecasting, RMSE, MSE MAE, and MAPE are used withaverage results of 6.311, 40.11, 4.61, and 4.87. With theapplication of ED, the minimum generation cost is obtained forthe production of electric power generated while stillconsidering the constraints. Through ED, fuel allocation can beoptimized, helping to reduce production costs and carbonemissions, and making a positive contribution toenvironmental sustainability. To improve ED results in thesailfish optimizer, the use of simulated annealing is added sothat the results have lower total cost and emission values thanED without simulated annealing. Abstract

Abstract

Educational buildings have the potential to support government programs in efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Installing photovoltaics and providing charging stations can reduce the use of fossil fuels and increase the number of electric vehicle users. This paper aims to optimize educational buildings when implementing a prosumer scheme and integrating Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEV) to meet building electricity demands. Optimization is carried out through two case studies, namely the application of a prosumer scheme with independent photovoltaic generators with and without PEV integration. The optimization process uses the Modified Firefly Algorithm. The results obtained by applying the prosumer scheme to educational buildings, the two case studies can produce LCOE cheaper than just buying electricity from the grid. Optimizing results show that photovoltaic installation and charging stations in educational buildings can be beneficial when implementing a prosumer scheme.

Abstract

In distribution networks integrated with distributed generation (DG), disconnection from the main grid reduces the power supply significantly. The power imbalance between DG generation and load degrades network stability. This paper proposes a hybrid parallel Particle Swarm Optimization - Grey Wolf Optimizer (PSGWO) algorithm for load shedding optimization. This optimization aims to reduce the DG power not absorbed by the remaining loads and maintain the voltage within the specified limits. The performance of PSGWO is tested on an IEEE 33 bus radial distribution system, considering loading levels of 80% to 140% of the baseload. At a 100% loading level, PSGWO showed the best performance, with a load shedding of 2.2297 MW and a voltage deviation of 0.0049. These values are the smallest compared to the results of the standard PSO and GWO algorithms. The PSGWO algorithm remains superior and converges faster than standard PSO and GWO at all loading levels.

Abstract

Overcurrent Rele (OCR) is an important component in the electric power protection system. One of the parameters that must be set on the OCR is the Pickup Current (Ip) and Time Dial Setting (TDS). To achieve optimum relay coordination by setting the time dial, several optimisation methods have been used such as Genetic Algorithm (GA), Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO), Fire Fly Algorithm (FA) and Grasshopper Optimisation Algorithm (GOA).In this study, the TDS setting was determined through Using the Grey Wolf Optimisation (GWO) method. The GWO algorithm was able to determine the optimum value of the TDS setting for each OCR process. This is validated by the results of tests conducted using the ETAP application. The primary and secondary relays are able to coordinate effectively to secure three-phase faults that occur on each bus.Furthermore, GWO demonstrated a superior convergence rate in compared to GOA, therefore enhancing its capacity to identify a more optimal TDS setting value. Furthermore, the objective function of GWO is more effective than that of GOA, thereby enhancing its ability to function in a more optimal manner. The results of this test demonstrate that the GWO algorithm is a reliable method for directly identifying the optimal TDS setting value for determining relay coordination settings. Keywords—Protection Coordination Overcurrent Rele ( OCR ), Short Circuit Maximum ( IscMax ), Time Dial Setting ( TDS ), Grey Wolf Optimization ( GWO ).

Abstract

Stability is the ability to go back to ordinary conditions after an interruption. Power transfer using an AC transmission system has some stability issues. Fast modulation of the HVDC transmission can escalate the transient stability of interconnected power systems thereby increasing the CCT. To calculate load flow sensitivity, use the load flow sensitivity analysis command in Powerfactory 15.1. The variable considered in this research is dφ/dP. In this paper, we will discuss the use of sensitivity analysis to specify the location of the HVDC transmission to increase the CCT value. By taking several samples that have high sensitivity values, namely channels 8-9 to 7-8 with an average cct change value of 0.555 s, mediumvalues, channels 5-8 to 9-6 have an average cct change of 0.234 s, and low fromchannels 6-4 to 9-4 with an average change of 0.109 s. The data above shows thata channel with a large sensitivity value will provide a higher increase in cct valuecomparedwith a low sensitivityvaluewhen paired with an HVDC.

Abstract

Abstract

Preprocessing is a widely used process in deep learning applications, and it has been applied in both 2D and 3D computer vision applications. In this research, we propose a preprocessing technique involving weighting to enhance classification performance, incorporated with a 3D CNN architecture. Unlike regular voxel preprocessing, which uses a zero-one (binary) approach, adding weighting incorporates stronger structural information into the voxels. This method is tested with 3D data represented in the form of voxels, followed by weighting preprocessing before entering the core 3D CNN architecture. We evaluate our approach using both public datasets, such as the KITTI dataset, and self-collected 3D human orientation data with four classes. Subsequently, we tested it with five 3D CNN architectures, including VGG16, ResNet50, ResNet50v2, DenseNet121, and VoxNet. Based on experiments conducted with this data, preprocessing with the 3D VGG16 architecture, among the five architectures tested, demonstrates an improvement in accuracy and a reduction in errors in 3D human orientation classification compared to using no preprocessing or other preprocessing methods on the 3D voxel data. The results show that the accuracy and loss in 3D object classification exhibit superior performance compared to specific preprocessing methods, such as binary processing within each voxel.

Abstract

Three phase fault is one of a transient phenomenon that must be isolate immediately to prevent losing synchron of generator in power plant, so that the system remain stable. Critical clearing time is maximum time allowed to isolate the system fault so that the system remain stable. Super capacitor energy storage installation to the system is one way to improve CCT value. Super capacitor is one of energy storage that be able to supply and store large amounts of electricity power quickly. Super Capacitor can improve CCT value by muffle oscillation of 3 phase fault. With higher CCT value, then time operation of protection system can be longer. The result is the system remain stable after fault removed and it can be improve transient stability in power system. Within an optimal sizing of super capacitor capacities for the system, then the value of CCT that obtained is higher than protection time operation. So that in this final project will be carried out an optimal sizing of super capacitor for improving transient stability with critical trajectory based on losing synchronism method
