Abstract

Forest destruction both in the form of deforestation and degradation continues. Forest management on the basis of partnership with the community is also one of forest management methods to tackle deforestation. Agroforestry company has a commitment to support legal teak supplies and support teak forest afforestation. Plant breeding efforts were being undertaken all national agroforestry company and implemented in cooperation with BPPT as a partner to obtain superiorteak plants. A problem in producing a superior teak seedling is the high cost of seed production. Because of this, teak seedlings produced. Materials used for the study were obtained from questionnaires carried out by employees. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, structured equation model and value stream analysis tools. The results reveal that the main factors affecting the production process of teak seedlings are transportation, process, human, material and machine. The improvement of production system teak seedlings will be applied in the following order of priority: transportation with 60.8% influential level, motion with 49.5% effective level, defect with 3.8% influential level, and inventory with 2.5% influential level.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study seeks to examine the role of morality as a mediating variable in the association among the internal control system (SPI) and the village officials competence (KAD) on efforts to avoid fraud in the management of Village Funds in Ngariboyo District, Magetan Regency. Background Problem: Following the application of Law No. 6 of 2014 on Villages, the allocation of Village Funds has increased substantially each year. This situation places greater responsibility on Village Governments to ensure that fraudulent practices in Village Fund management are effectively prevented. Novelty: The research offers a new perspective by emphasizing the significance of morality (MOR) as a mediator among SPI and village officials’ competence (KAD) in influencing fraud prevention (FRA) within the Village Fund management process. Research Methods: A quantitative research design was employed. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, involving 10 villages in Ngariboyo District, Magetan Regency. A total of 50 respondents who were directly engaged in the Village Funds management participated in the research. Path analysis was conducted using the SmartPLS 4 software. Findings/Results: The findings reveal that SPI, the competence, and morality individually exerts a significant positive effect on preventing fraud. Morality does not mediate the relationship among SPI and fraud avoidance, but it does mediate the influence of village officials’ competence on fraud prevention. Conclusion: Strengthening the implementation of SPI, enhancing the competence, and fostering strong moral values are crucial for preventing fraud in management of Village Fund. Enhancing the ethical standards of village officials is anticipated to contribute to limiting corruption and minimizing fraudulent use of Village Funds.

Abstract

Anthropogenic activities such as logging and converting mangrove forests into plantations have degraded coastal ecosystems and reduced their ecological stability. Silvofishery is a restoration system that balances the ecological and economic functions of mangroves. In Marga Sungsang Village, South Sumatra, mangrove restoration was integrated with mud crab (Scylla spp.) cultivation through a crab silvofishery system. This study aimed to analyze the contribution of mangrove restoration with a mud crab silvofishery system to mud crab growth. The study was conducted from August 2024 to January 2025. Growth parameters included carapace length, width, and body weight. Analyses covered absolute growth and the correlation between carapace width and body weight. Results showed that in non-mangrove ponds, Scylla tranquebarica males exhibited negative allometry (prominent carapace width), while females showed positive allometry (prominent body weight). Scylla paramamosain showed negative allometry in both sexes. In contrast, in mangrove ponds, both species showed positive allometry for both sexes, indicating higher weight gain. These findings suggest that mangrove vegetation provides optimal habitat conditions by increasing nutrient availability, protecting crabs during molting, and improving substrate quality. The results not only demonstrate the bioecological relationship between mangrove vegetation and mangrove crab growth but also highlight the role of crab silvofishery systems in supporting food security, mitigating climate change, and conserving coastal ecosystems. These results align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically goal 2 (end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture), goal 13 (climate action), and goal 14 (life below water). Although informative, this study was limited by temporal observations conducted only at the start of seed stocking and at harvest. Further research with continuous monitoring and environmental parameter analysis is needed. The findings can support mangrove restoration policies that integrate vegetation recovery with sustainable community-based aquaculture and promote blue economy development.
