Abstract

This research aims to produce a product in the form of a case method-based office communication e-book that meets the requirements of validity and usability. Novelty in research emphasizes a unique, contemporary, and specific approach to training students to communicate effectively in the office, utilizing books integrated with technology and a case-based learning approach. This research is a development study utilizing a 4-D model. The instruments used to measure the feasibility and practicality of this textbook include validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of data analysis show that, according to the expert's assessment, both in terms of material, language, and graphics, it is highly feasible, with an average feasibility of 92.10% and an average score of 90.2% among student responses. Based on these results, this case method-based office communication e-book is feasible and can be used in classroom learning. Therefore, the implications of developing e-books in office communication emphasize the possibility for lecturers and students to learn more quickly, flexibly, and contextually, so that students can apply concepts from office communication to face the demands of a very dynamic work environment.

Abstract

The purpose of the researcher in conducting the research was to determine the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) to improve learning outcomes. The procedure used by the researcher in the research was classroom action research with four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The research participants were 32 students of class X MPK 3 SMK Adhikawacana Surabaya. The research data came from the analysis of the average pretest and posttest of students. Through this research, it can be seen that the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model can help improve learning outcomes, as evidenced by the average pretest and posttest of cycle 1 experiencing an increase in learning outcomes indicated by an average of 60.1 to 80.2. The results of the cycle 1 posttest showed that out of a total of 32 students, 26 of them had completed and 6 had not completed. Cycle 2 also experienced an increase in learning outcomes indicated by the average pretest and posttest values ​​of cycle 2 which increased from an average of 66.2 to 84.1. In the results of the posttest of cycle 2, it was found that of the total number of students, 27 of them had achieved completion and 5 had not achieved completion.

Abstract

The low level of student understanding regarding the importance of mastering hard skills and soft skills as the main capital in facing the world of work that continues to transform is a serious challenge in the world of vocational education. Amidst the rapid development of technology and changes in industrial needs, the world of work not only demands technical skills, but also good interpersonal and adaptive skills. The main objective of this study is to highlight the extent to which these two types of skills influence the work readiness of students at SMKN 10 Surabaya, a vocational high school that offers various vocational-based majors. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, which aims to test the causal relationship between the variables studied. Data were collected through a survey using a closed questionnaire instrument that has gone through a validity and reliability test process. The number of respondents in this study was 105 students, selected through a proportional random sampling method based on the number of students from each existing major. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with the help of statistical software. The results of the study indicate that simultaneously, both hard skills and soft skills have a significant influence on students' work readiness. This work readiness was measured based on students' perceptions of their abilities to face the world of work, including readiness for job interviews, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. However, when tested partially, only soft skills had a significant influence on students' work readiness. Hard skills, while important, did not show a significant effect separately. These findings confirm that the development of non-technical skills such as effective communication, work ethic, responsibility, and team collaboration should be an integral part of the vocational education curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan mengetik siswa, baik dari segi kecepatan maupun ketepatan, serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang digunakan, yaitu aplikasi Typing Master yang dinilai kurang interaktif dan tidak dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan serta pengaruh penggunaan website Typing Club terhadap hasil belajar dan keterampilan mengetik 10 jari pada siswa kelas XI Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis (MPLB) di SMKN 2 Tuban. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design, dimana dua kelas dipilih sebagai sampel yaitu kelas XI MPLB 1 (eksperimen) dan kelas XI MPLB 2 (kontrol) dengan jumlah 25 siswa setiap kelasnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test berupa tes kognitif dan tes psikomotorik, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan kelompok kontrol, baik dari hasil belajar maupun keterampilan mengetik. Penggunaan Typing Club memberikan penerapan positif serta pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar dan keterampilan mengetik siswa karena interaktifitas, gamifikasi, pelacakan kemajuan, dan personalisasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis website seperti Typing Club ke dalam praktik pendidikan kejuruan.

Abstract

Guru perlu membuat bahan ajar yang menarik agar tercipta suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan motivasi belajar siswa meningkat. Bahan ajar yang digunakan dalam Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2017 harus berisi pendekatan ilmiah dan berpusat pada siswa yang dalam hal ini bisa berupa bahan ajar interaktif. Hal tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan penggunaan bahan ajar interaktif. Kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar interaktif perlu dilakukan agar dapat menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru di kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah pelatihan. Prosedur Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap sosialisasi program dan pengenalan serta pelaksanaan strategi yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan praktik. Kegiatan dilakukan secara daring atau online melalui media aplikasi zoom cloud meeting dengan SMK Tunas Wijaya Surabaya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh Tim PKM ini mendapatkan respon sangat baik yang dapat dilihat dari data angket respon dan testimoni guru-guru peserta pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar interaktif di SMK Tunas Wijaya Surabaya. Peserta pelatihan sangat antusias untuk mengikuti kegiatan ini sampai selesai, peserta pelatihan berkeinginan untuk dapat menerapkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, dan meminta agar kegiatan ditindaklanjuti dengan kegiatan tatap muka. Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Bahan Ajar Interaktif.

Abstract

The use of information and communication technology has become an effective and efficient way of conveying information, especially in storing various information using electronic archives or what is called e-filing of digital archive applications. For teachers, the need for the ability to use e-filing digital archive applications is felt to facilitate the process of storing various kinds of incoming and outgoing letters. Considering that there are so many documents that need to be archived, if the documents can be archived electronically it will be easier. The method used in this Community Service activity is training through several stages of program socialization and the introduction and implementation of the strategies used are lectures and practice. The implementation of community service activities carried out by the Community Service team has received a positive response from Vocational High School teachers. This can be seen based on the questionnaire responses and testimonials given by the teachers participating in the e-filing training for digital archive applications at the Tunas Wijaya Vocational High School Surabaya. So that this training activity was responded positively by the training participants because the training participants were very enthusiastic to follow this activity until it was completed, and the trainees wished to be able to apply it in learning activities, and requested that this Community Service activity be sustainable.

Abstract

Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) telah melaksanakan pelatihan manajemen dokumen bagi pegawai desa di Kecamatan Sukodono dalam rangka meningkatkan pelayanan publik dan mewujudkan tertib administrasi di pemerintahan desa. Dalam kegiatan tertib administrasi terdapat beberapa kelurahan di bawah naungan Kecamatan Sukodono yang memiliki kinerja minimal terkait dengan tata kelola administrasi. Pengelolaan dokumen khususnya pada kegiatan penataan yang dilakukan tidak sesuai dengan prosedur kearsipan yang baik dan benar. Terdapat pula beberapa kelurahan yang masih minim pengetahuan tentang pengelolaan dokumen, dikarenakan kurangnya pelatihan serta adanya pegawai baru yang masih perlu pemahaaman lebih lanjut terkait dengan prosedur pengelolaan dokumen yang benar. Untuk itu tim PKM memberikan pelatihan terkait pengelolaan arsip khususnya kepada pegawai yang menangani arsip di kelurahan-kelurahan yang ada di Kecamatan Sukodono. Pelatihan ini difokuskan pada konsep tertib administrasi yang menekankan pada kelengkapan dan kerapian dokumen administrasi. Pengelolaan arsip yang baik merupakan hal yang krusial bagi pemerintah desa, dan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan pegawai dalam mengelola dokumen dengan baik. Pelatihan ini diselenggarakan secara offline dan diikuti oleh 36 peserta, termasuk 1 orang narasumber dari ANRI, 4 orang narasumber dari anggota PKM, dan 5 orang mahasiswa. Pelatihan ini berlangsung selama 4 jam dan mencakup materi arsip aset. Pelatihan ini mendapatkan umpan balik yang positif, dengan 87,2% peserta menyatakan akan menerapkan apa yang telah mereka pelajari dalam kegiatan administrasi mereka. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan manajemen dokumen berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan ketertiban administrasi di tingkat desa.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze public relations strategies to improve the quality of public administration services through KUBERSERI in Plumpang District. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis in this research includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The theoretical basis used in this research is the Cutlip, Center & Broom theory, namely that there are 4 indicators of public relations strategy, including fact finding (situation analysis), planning, action and communication (action and communication), and evaluation (evaluation). And for service quality variables, a theory is used which consists of 5 indicators, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The results of the research show that Plumpang District has implemented a strategy to improve the quality of administrative services well. Although in general Plumpang District has implemented efforts or strategies to improve the quality of its services, there are still several indicators that need to be improved in order to influence the community's expectations of obtaining quality services in Plumpang District.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of employability skills on teaching and self-efficacy on interest in becoming teachers among students in the Office Administration Education Study Program. This research examines the issue of employability skills on teaching or teaching skills and self-confidence or self-efficacy which is associated with interest in becoming a teacher. This research uses an explanatory method with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was all students of the Office Administration Education Study Program Class of 2020. The sample for this study used a saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this research used questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22 software. The results of the t test in this study show that employability skills on teaching have no effect on interest in becoming a teacher, self-efficacy has an effect positive and significant on interest in becoming a teacher, and the results of the f test show that simultaneously employability skills on teaching and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on interest in becoming a teacher among students in the Office Administration Education Study Program.
