Abstract

Logical thinking is an essential competence for vocational high school (SMK) students learning TCP/IP within the Basic Computer Network and Telecommunication Engineering (DDTJKT) subject due to its abstract, layered reasoning requirements. Preliminary findings indicate conventional instruction leaves students passive and unable to connect concepts logically. This study develops CONNETIC Module, a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)-based interactive learning module built with React, TypeScript, and Supabase, to improve Grade X students' logical thinking. Employing a quantitative Research and Development (R&D) approach following the ADDIE model, a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design was applied to 36 Grade X TJKT students at SMK Negeri 4 Bandung. Data collected via tests, validation sheets, and questionnaires were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed-rank and N-Gain tests. The results show that CONNETIC Module is highly feasible based on expert validation (88.57%), significantly improved students’ logical thinking (Z = -5.224; p < .001; r = .87) with a high overall N-Gain of .77, and achieved excellent usability (82.44%). Integrating a sequential locking mechanism and real-time feedback successfully creates an impactful, responsive learning experience.

Abstract

The accessibility, flexibility, and scalability offered by cloud computing have driven the increasing adoption of cloud technology across various sectors, including business, healthcare, education, and industry. However, despite these advantages, cloud environments remain vulnerable to security threats such as data breaches, cyberattacks, unauthorized access, and service disruptions. These challenges have contributed to the rapid growth of research related to cloud security in recent years. This study aims to analyze research trends, themes, and research gaps in the field of cloud security using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis approach. A total of 76 open-access articles indexed in Scopus from the 2022–2025 period were analyzed using the Biblioshiny tool. The results indicate that research themes are dominated by approaches related to intrusion detection, network security, and the application of machine learning and deep learning for security threat detection. In addition, cryptographic techniques remain an important approach for data protection in cloud environments. The thematic map analysis reveals that topics such as intrusion detection and network security belong to the motor themes category, while themes such as blockchain-based security and application-specific security are still relatively limited. This study also identifies that most existing research still focuses on isolated security approaches, highlighting the need for integrated security technologies and the development of more adaptive and proactive security systems as future research opportunities.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments have changed the way humans behave and interact, enabling them to adapt to various digitalized sectors of life. If humans fail to adapt to these developments, they will be left behind and uncompetitive due to the various challenges of this era. To survive the digital era, Computational Thinking (CT) and Logical Thinking (LT) are essential skills. These skills can be acquired through the educational process in schools, but schools in Indonesia face infrastructure constraints. Therefore, the Computer Science Unplugged (CSU) model can be an alternative to hone these two skills. This study aims to analyze and compare the results of previous studies regarding the effect of Computer Science Unplugged on Computational Thinking and Logical Thinking skills. The research method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method. The results of this study prove that CSU has a positive impact on computational thinking skills and logical thinking skills. Research on the effect of CSU on CT tends to be more numerous than the effect of CSU on LT. CSU research on CT has involved various levels of education, but research on the influence of CSU on LT is still limited to early childhood students. Therefore, there is still room for research on the influence of CSU on LT to obtain more comprehensive results.
