Abstract

Surface water flowing in the river is a resource of useful raw water to meet the needs of society and as irrigation water is managed by Subak in Bali, Indonesia. Bali has experienced water deficit, along with the increasing number of inhabitants and tourism activities. Results of research of the Ministry of Environment (MOE, 2009) stated that Bali has experienced water deficit of 7.5 billion m3/year in 2000 and 2015 deficit is estimated at as much as 27.6 billion m3 of water/year. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the potential of water in the estuary Saba in order to support ecotourism in coastal areas of the province of Bali and formulating water resource management scheme for coastal areas in Buleleng regency. This research uses quantitative methods with the research location is in the Saba river estuary in Buleleng Regency. Data collected consist of primary data and secondary data. Simulation models for water resources management and statistical analysis using software RIBASIM (River Basin Simulation). As a result of this research is the potential of water in the estuary Saba. The result of measurements in the dry season (September 2013) is amounted to 0.156 m3/sec and in the rainy season (January 2014) of 1,023 m3/sec. Potential water in Saba river estuary based on the simulation of RIBASIM is 9.34 million m3/year, can be used as society water domestic for 81 851 inhabitants, for the water industry (hotel) is 1364 rooms, amounted to 2 ha of fish pond water and for irrigation water (agricultural) is 148 ha. Results of water quality research to the smell, color, temperature, turbidity meet quality standards, while taste, and salinity do not meet quality standards. For the chemical aspect, that is pH and detergent meet quality standards while for BOD and COD does not meet the water quality standard Class I. In terms of biology, total coliform does not meet the quality standards of class I. Saba River water potential for ground water of 7.46 million m3 (6%), residual water irrigation (Return Flow) amounted to 54.74 million m3 (41%) and the balance/allocation of water in an area (water District) amounted to 71.54 million m3 (53%). Water resources management in the Saba River estuary for the water potential in the river estuary can be managed by making reservoirs (reservoir), and dam movement and arrangement of the beach.

Abstract

Ayunan Village, located in the Abiansemal district of Badung, Bali. This village is about 20 km to the north from Denpasar city, towards the village of Sangeh tourist attraction and ayun park. Balinese cattle are germ plasm that must be preserved, because Bali is one of the sources of Balinese cattle breeding and the only area believed to have pure genetic B ali cattle. The increase in income will encourage farmers to raise more cattle, Balinese cattle rearing pattern is still traditional and only as a sideline in between farming time. The process of managing the maintenance of cows in partners has been good although it is still very simple. Direct observations in the Karang Ayu livestock group in Ayunan village, Abiansemal District, illustrated that Bali cattle rearing activities are very constrained by capital, feed, cow rearing management, manure channels and how to increase farmers' income from cow dung processing businesses. The main problems that will be the focus of solving the problem are the low productivity in processing manure into organic fertilizer and the low business efficiency and business sustainability of organic fertilizer products from manure. The methods used are: Presentation and plot as well as direct practice of making manure from cow dung using EM4 candy and fermented for 4 weeks. The results of this activity are expected to increase production and productivity and produce organic fertilizer from cow dung that can be sold so as to increase the income of Balinese cattle farmers in Ayunan Village.

Abstract

Perencanaan kawasan hilir sungai dan pantai adalah sebagian dari pengelolaan sumber daya air dan lingkungan. Ekowisata sebagai suatu bentuk wisata yang menekankan tanggung jawab terhadap kelestarian alam, dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan penduduk setempat. Berdasarkan data BPS Provinsi Bali 2018, total jumlah penduduk Kota Denpasar 788.589 jiwa. Bertambahnya jumlah penduduk dibutuhkan kebijakan dan strategi pengembangan pola ruang Kota Denpasar dengan mengembangkan ruang-ruang muka tepian air (waterfront) dalam bentuk kota tepian sungai (riverside city), yang terpadu dengan ruang terbuka hijau, mengkonservasi daerah aliran sungai dan konservasi daerah pantai yang produktif dan turistik sebagai usaha untuk memberi batas jelas antara kawasan konservasi dengan kawasan budidaya perkotaan. Tujuan kajian ini adalah menetapkan metode dalam perencanaan kawasan hilir sungai dan pantai di Kota Denpasar berbasis Ekowisata. Lokasi di kawasan hilir Sungai Ayung dan kawasan Pantai Padanggalak. Analisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Responden yang diambil adalah tim pengelola Pura Windu Segara, wisatawan, serta komunitas peduli hilir Sungai Ayung. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah topografi, bathimetri hilir sungai dan pantai, data gelombang, pasang surut, potensi air dan kondisi lingkungan. Perencanaan ekowisata bahari di hilir sungai Ayung dan pantai Padanggalak sampai saat ini belum berkembang secara optimal karena tidak didukung oleh aksesibilitas dan jaringan penataan sungai dan pantai yang baik. Strategi perencanaan dalam penataan kawasan berbasis ekowisata dapat dilaksanakan dengan tahapan : pertama kawasan yang dikembangkan sebagai daerah pariwisata disesuaikan dengan fungsi dan daya dukung masing-masing ruang/zone. Normalisasi kawasan hilir sungai, pengerukan sedimen di mulut muara sungai. Send by passing dan pembersihan sampah plastik di daerah pantai, terbentuknya bank sampah dengan melibatkan komunitas masyarakat peduli hilir sungai, menekan alih fungsi lahan pertanian di kawasan hilir sungai dan membangun pengaman pantai dari bahan yang ramah lingkungan. Penataan kawasan hilir sungai dan pantai sebagai daerah pariwisata yang berwawasan lingkungan, hendaknya melibatkan masyarakat, pemandu wisata dan agen perjalanan. Abstract

Aims: This research will provide an overview of the comparative analysis of watershed characteristics in Bali which are differentiated from watersheds flowing to the north, and watersheds flowing to the south of Bali Province. The aim is to determine the characteristics of each, and proper sustainable management for each watershed. Methodology and Results: This is a descriptive, quantitative research that analyzes and compares the characteristics of the Saba watershed and Unda watershed, where the characteristics analyzed are morphometric and hydrological.  From the analysis, it was observed that the Unda watershed, which has a flow direction to the south of the island of Bali, and the Saba watershed, flowing to the north of the island of Bali, possess several differences and similarities. The similarities include rainfall patterns, high temperatures, and the comparison values between Qmax and Qmin is significant. Meanwhile, the differences include the Saba watershed slope being steeper than the Unda watershed, and the Saba has young geomorphic features, while the Unda watershed possesses advanced geomorphic features. Conclusion, significance, and impact of study: Differences in watershed characteristics lead to differences in the management carried out. Furthermore, in terms of hydrology, where there are lesser differences, the sustainable management of the Saba and Unda Watershed also require conservation in form of a reservoir (weir or dam). This is to enable the storage of water in the rainy period for the dry season.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di Desa Tiingan Bebandem, Karangasem oleh Dosen Fakultas Teknik dan Perencanaan sebagai bentuk memperbaiki masalah kemiskinan dengan program bedah rumah. Rumah merupakan kebutuhan primer untuk tinggal dan menetap dipenuhi bagi setiap orang, tidak adanya rumah yang layak bagi keluarga menyebabkan ketelantaran anggota keluarga dan kesejahteraan social keluarga. Sebuah rumah yang layak huni dirancang dengan memperhatikan kondisi fisik penggunanya, khususnya bagi orang-orang yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus (disabilitas). Hal tersebut berpengaruh terhadap desain rumah yang harus disesuaikan sehingga dapat digunakan dengan mudah sesuai kebutuhan penggunanya. Selain mengentaskan masalah kemiskinan, Melalui program bedah rumah ini diharapkan penyandang disabilitas di desa dapat membantu aksesibilitas yang nyaman karena keterbatasan fisik yang dimiliki seseorang. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara dan observasi informan panitia program dan mitra (Puspadi Bali), keluarga miskin penyandang disabilitas, dan tokoh masyarakat. Keberhasilan bedah rumah yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus (disabilitas) dapat dikembangkan lagi di daerah lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menginvestigasi peranan moderasi Gender Diversity Dewan Direksi dan Gender Diversity Dewan Komisaris atas pengaruh aktivitas sosial dan aktivitas lingkungan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Populasi penelitian adalah Perusahaan Pertambangan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dari Tahun 2017 sampai 2021. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari: variabel independen yaitu aktivitas sosial dan aktivitas lingkungan, variabel dependen yaitu nilai perusahaam diukur dengan price book value (PBV), variabel moderasi gender diversity Dewan Direksi dan Dewan Komisaris serta menggunakan 3 variabel kontrol yaitu ukuran perusahaan (size), umur perusahaan serta return on assets (RAO). Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda dengan SPSS 17.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukan aktivitas sosial berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, aktivitas lingkungan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Hasil pengujian moderasi Gender Diversity Dewan Direksi berperan memperlemah pengaruh aktivitas lingkungan terhadap nilai perusahaan, namaun tidak berperan mememoderasi pengaruh aktivitas sosial terhadap nilai perusahaan. Gender Diversity Dewan Komisaris berperan memperkuat pengaruh aktivitas lingkungan terhadap nilai perusahaan namum berperan memperlemah pengaruh aktivitas sosial terhadap nilai perusahaan. Hasil pengujian variabel kontrol umur perusahaan dan ROA berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan, tetapi size tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Limitasi penelitian ini belum memasukan aktivitas ekonomi dan tata kelola sebagai diterminan dari nialai perusahaan dan tekanan stakeholder sebagai variabel moderasi.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi di kota – kota besar adalah kemacetan. Permasalahan kemacetan terjadi pada simpang jalan yang merupakan penghubung jalan antarkota. Permasalahan simpang pada Jalan Raya Sunset Road – Iman Bonjol ini terjadi dikarenakan waktu sinyal dan waktu siklus yang menyebabkan kinerja simpang menurun. Untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang terjadi di simpang Jalan Sunset Road – Iman Bonjol ini menggunakan metode analisis kinerja simpang bersinyal dan perencanaan lampu sinyal dan waktu siklus berdasarkan perhitungan dan metode Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI, 1997). Tujuan untuk memperbaiki masalah ini adalah dengan menganalisis kembali kinerja simpang dengan perencanaan waktu sinyal dan waktu siklus dan memperbaiki permasalahan pada simpang Jalan Raya Sunset Road – Iman Bonjol. Dari hasil analisis kinerja simpang saat ini menghasilkan tingkat pelayanan (F), sehingga pada analisis perencanaan pada penelitian ini menghasilkan waktu sinyal dan waktu siklus yang lebih efisien dan pada tingkat pelayanan (B) maka dapat mengatasi kemacetan yang terjadi.

Abstract

Mengening Beach is located in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia. The average erosion rate in Badung Regency is 1.96 m/year, so the right plan is a submerged breakwater to reduce wave energy coming to the beach, which causes erosion. This building artistically does not lessen the beauty of the beach and sea because it’s below the sea mean sea water level (MSL). Because the beach is a tourist area, it is essential to maintain the beauty of the beach. Two-dimensional wave modeling uses the CMS Wave model on SMS software version 10.1 with two modeling scenarios: before and after there is a submerged breakwater. The two-dimensional wave results show that the submerged breakwater plan can dampen waves in the building placement area, which was initially 1.3 m-1.4 m high to 0.9 m-1.3 m, so this submerged breakwater plan can reduce waves by 10%-40%. From this research, readers can learn how to plan a submerged breakwater and know the performance of the planned breakwater function at Mengening Beach.

Abstract

This climate change impacts the coast of Indonesia, which causes erosion and tidal flooding. This coastal damage significantly affects vital areas in the form of tourist areas, such as on the south coast of Bali. The erosion rate on Bali's beaches currently reaches 2 m/year and dramatically impacts the existence of beach tourism objects in Bali. Seawalls and revetments dominate coastal protection structures built from the 1990s. The existing system is experiencing problems, namely tidal flooding and runoff at the building's crest. The method analyzes sea-level changes over time (time series) and numerical simulations with CMS-Wave to obtain wave heights in the structure. Extreme water level (Extreme Coastal Water Level) is calculated from the creep due to wave height, sea level rise, tides, and storms. The results of this study indicate that the rising water level in 2022 will cause 53.80% of buildings to experience overtopping. In the next 20 years (2042), the percentage of buildings experiencing overtopping will increase to 67.08%.

Abstract

Kuwum Village, in Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali, is about 29 km north of Denpasar. Here, raising Bali Kereman cattle supplements farmers' income from farming and other jobs. Despite the potential profitability from meat, offspring, manure, and labor, the Nandini cattle group faces challenges. These include insufficient capital, inadequate feed, poor cattle maintenance, inefficient manure processing, and underdeveloped manure sales channels, hindering income maximization. The primary issue is low management capability in cattle maintenance. Effective cattle raising requires an ideal stable location, at least 10 meters from houses, accessible by vehicle, and near agricultural land, allowing sunlight. Quality seed selection, stable maintenance, and adequate feeding are essential. To address these challenges, methods such as presentations and demonstration plots for forage feeding and cage spraying are used. These activities aim to improve farmers' knowledge and practices, increasing cattle weight and farmers' income, ultimately achieving better welfare. Community Service activities have enhanced understanding and demonstrated proper maintenance, feeding, and cage spraying in the Nandini cattle group
