Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan penulisan ejaan pada karangan persuasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Telaga, Gorontalo. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimanakah bentuk kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital pada karangan persuasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Telaga, Gorontalo, (2) Bagaimanakah bentuk kesalahan penulisan tanda baca pada karangan persuasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Telaga, Gorontalo. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital pada karangan persuasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Telaga, Gorontalo dan mendeskripsikan kesalahan penulisan tanda baca pada karangan persuasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 telaga, Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa kesalahan penulisan ejaan masih banyak dilakukan oleh siswa saat menulis karangan persuasi. Adapun kesalahan yang dilakukan adalah 1) kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital dan 2) kesalahan penulisan tanda baca. Kesalahan tersebut dikarenakan siswa kurang memahami kaidah dalam penulisan dan penggunaan ejaan yang tepat.

Abstract

This community service activity is a collaborative activity between lecturers and students of the Department of Indonesian language and literature, Gorontalo State University. This activity was carried out on the basis of concern and concern for the existence of Suwawa language as one of the regional languages in Gorontalo province which began to experience degradation. Several studies have shown that the Suwawa language has begun to decline. For this reason, this activity is a form of conservation and revitalization of the Suwawa language. This service was held in Tingkohubu Village, Suwawa district with participants were children between the ages of 3-8 years. The stages of activities include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stages include coordinating with the village government, recruiting participants, to arranging materials and preparing drawing materials. The implementation stage is in the form of giving material using the expository method, guess the picture, and games. The evaluation was conducted to test children's mastery of basic vocabulary of Suwawa language using quiz and door prize methods. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in vocabulary Suwawa language in children. This can be seen from their enthusiasm when answering the quiz to guess the words in the picture

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of speech in the conversations of characters that do not comply with the principles of cooperation. The purpose of this study is to examine violations of the principles of cooperation in the speech of characters in the novel Kembara Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Researchers used reading, listening, and note-taking methods, which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that in the novel Kembara Rindu there were 31 conversation data that violated the principles of cooperation which included four maxims: violation of the maxim of quantity, violation of the maxim of quality, violation of the maxim of relevance, and violation of the maxim of manner/implementation. From the 31 data, 12 meanings of violations of the principles of cooperation were found.

Abstract

Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kondisi lingkungan alam di Kalimantan dalam  novel Desersi karya M.T.H. Perelaer dan novel Danum karya Abroorza A. Yusra. Teori yang digunakan yakni kajian sastra bandingan dengan teori ekologi sastra. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni teknik baca dan catat. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mengorganisir, mendeskripsikan, mengklasifikasi, membandingkan, serta menafsirkan data berupa pemaknaan terhadap data-data yang diperoleh berdasarkan novel Desersi karya M.T.H Perelaer dan novel Danum karya Abroorza A.Yusra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat 3 (tiga) keadaan lingkungan hutan, yakni penebangan pohon, pembukaan lahan, dan pembakaran hutan; (2) lingkungan perairan ditinjau dari pencemaran air; (3) kondisi fauna yang ada di Kalimantan yaitu adanya perburuan hewan dan perlindungan hewan. Kata kunci: Novel, Meneroka, Kalimantan, sastra bandingan, ekologi sastra

Abstract

Bugis language is language of communication, meaning that Bugis language is used to communicate between individuals who know the language. Bugis language has been known in the archipelago, because the Bugis people have immigrated to various places and have spread widely outside South Sulawesi. This study uses a qualitative research type, presentation of descriptive data in the form of words and santences written, or spoken from the observed humor speakers. Based on the results of the study, the researcher found that there were several humors in the Bugis language that were often used by people in everyday life. In the focus of the study, the forms of humor found were 3 forms, namely humor in the forms of satire, forms of humor in everyday life and funny hyperbolic humor. In the focus of the third study, the function, of humor found by the researcher was 4 functions, namely easing tension, there were 2 humors, teaching others to see problems from various angles, there were 2 humors, entertaining, there were 3 humors, making someone aware and making someone tolerate something, there were 2 humors.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: (1) describe the use of the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications as media tools for enhancing poetry writing skills, and (2) describe students' ability in utilizing the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications in writing poetry texts. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data in this study consist of students’ poetry texts and poetry videos created through the application of the Thesaurus and VlogNow media tools. The results of the study indicate that the use of the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications has a positive impact on improving students' poetry writing skills. Students became more active and motivated in participating in poetry writing lessons. This is evident from the increase in the average score achieved by students after using the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications, which reached 87.36. This score is significantly higher than the average score before using the Thesaurus application, which was 51.79. This success demonstrates that innovations in teaching methods can have a significantly positive effect, especially in Indonesian language subjects, which are often perceived as difficult by some students

Abstract

Karya sastra, khususnya novel, kerap merefleksikan fenomena psikis dan perilaku menyimpang manusia, seperti psikopati yang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dan kondisi psikologis individu. Novel 7 Sayap Pendosa karya Jienara menghadirkan tokoh Zidan, seorang psikopat yang terlibat dalam pembunuhan, menggambarkan konflik internal dan eksternal manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan Indikatorgangguan kepribadian psikopat serta faktor penyebabnya pada tokoh Zidan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah psikologi sastra dengan teori psikopati dari Robert D. Hare dan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dialog, dan paragraf dalam novel dianalisis menggunakan teknik studi kepustakaan dan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Zidan menampilkan dua belas Indikatorutama gangguan kepribadian psikopat, di antaranya pesona dangkal, kebohongan patologis, rendah empati, kurang rasa bersalah, impulsivitas, dan gaya hidup parasit. Faktor utama yang memengaruhi kondisi psikopat Zidan adalah masa kecil yang traumatis serta pola asuh keras dan disfungsional.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment models in teaching procedural texts to seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Timur. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed that diagnostic assessments were applied to map students’ initial abilities, thereby guiding instructional strategies. Formative assessments were carried out through practice, group discussions, and exercises to improve learning processes. Summative assessments were conducted at the end of lessons using written and oral tests, as well as reflections, to ensure the achievement of learning outcomes. Overall, teachers successfully implemented assessment within the emancipated curriculum framework, although challenges remain regarding limited infrastructure and teachers’ mastery of information technology.

This study addresses the problems of how the implementation of a problem-based learning (PBL) model is carried out in analyzing the structure and linguistic aspects of short stories in grade IX at SMPN 1 Bulango Timur, the factors influencing its application, and the solutions to overcome possible obstacles. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the learning process using the PBL model was conducted according to the planned design and successfully enhanced students’ critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. Furthermore, interviews indicated that no significant inhibiting factors emerged, as both teachers and students played active roles in the learning process. Consequently, specific solutions to address obstacles were not required, since the effectiveness of the model was supported by the teachers’ guidance and students’ active participation. Abstract

This study aims to describe the writing skills of review texts before and after the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) method in class VIII students of MTs Nurul Bahri Kabila Bone in the 2024/2025 academic year, as well as identify obstacles that arise during its implementation. The research method uses an experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Data were obtained through pre-tests and post-tests, then analyzed using a t-test with the help of the SPSS version 27 application, resulting in a significance value of 0.005. The results showed that the average score of students before the implementation of PjBL was 52.5 and increased to 89.9 after the implementation. The calculated t value of 0.001 is smaller than the t table of 0.005, which means there is a significant effect of the PjBL method on writing skills of review texts. However, the questionnaire results showed that 76.4% of students still had difficulty in formulating arguments critically. Therefore, further assistance and strategy adjustments are needed so that learning is more optimal and sustainable.
