Abstract

Anemia among pregnant women remains a significant public health issue in Indonesia, particularly in Purwasari District, where 37.1% of women are anemic. Anemia may be directly influenced by social and supplementation factors, which also affect nutritional status, fetal health, and pregnancy outcomes through environmental support and the fulfillment of essential nutrient needs. This study aimed to analyze the association between social, supplementation, and nutritional factors and anemia among pregnant women in Purwasari District. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was used. The sample consisted of 150 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria of this study. Eligible participants were pregnant women aged 18–40 years in their second or third trimester. Data were analyzed using logistic regression analysis. The results showed that adequate vitamin C intake (p = 0.004; OR = 2.912), adherence to iron–folic acid (IFA) tablet consumption (p = 0.000; OR = 4.030), side effects of IFA intake (p = 0.003; OR = 3.027), and support from parents or in-laws (p = 0.026; OR = 2.563) were significantly associated with anemia in pregnancy. In conclusion, vitamin C adequacy, IFA adherence and side effects, and family support were significantly related to the occurrence of anemia among pregnant women in the Purwasari District.

Abstract

Limited access to marketing, business legality, and digital technology often hinders the economic participation of persons with disabilities, including the Village Disabled Community (KDD) in Lemahabang Village, Cirebon Regency, which produces red ginger powder drinks. This community service aims to strengthen the inclusive business capacity of KDD through digital marketing development and regulatory compliance in order to increase product credibility and market reach. The program applied the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through asset identification, participatory discussions and training, asset-based program development, program implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions, validated using triangulation techniques, and analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results indicate measurable improvements in business capacity. First, KDD successfully obtained business legality through the Business Identification Number (NIB) and initiated the process of P-IRT and halal certification to ensure product safety and consumer trust. Second, digital marketing strategies were implemented through social media promotion and improved inclusive product packaging, enabling broader market exposure. Third, collaboration with community stakeholders strengthened social entrepreneurship values and expanded marketing networks. These achievements demonstrate that strengthening legality, digital marketing capacity, and community collaboration can enhance the economic participation and confidence of persons with disabilities while improving the sustainability of red ginger product businesses.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate how economic freedom, economic growth, inflation, the capital adequacy ratio (CAR), and non-performing financing (NPF) influence the profitability of Islamic Commercial Banks (ICB) in Indonesia from 2015 to 2024. This research employs a quantitative approach, using panel data regression analysis in Eviews 12. The population consists of Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in Indonesia. The data period is from 2015 to 2024 with a total of 14 ICBs. Eight Islamic Commercial Banks were obtained using purposive sampling. The findings of this study indicate that economic freedom has a positive effect on the profitability of Islamic Commercial Banks, while non-performing financing (NPF) has a negative effect. The profitability of Islamic Commercial Banks is not significantly influenced by factors such as economic growth, inflation, and capital adequacy ratio (CAR). Therefore, Islamic Commercial Banks need to prioritize strict financing risk management to control non performing financing (NPF) and continue to implement policies that increase economic freedom to improve their profitability.

Abstract

IntroductionThe development of Islamic banks in Indonesia is pivotal for the growth of the Islamic economy, given the country's majority Muslim population. However, the adoption rate of Islamic banking services remains relatively low compared to the overall Muslim population, highlighting the need to understand the factors influencing customer interest in saving with Islamic banks.ObjectivesThis study aims to examine the impact of Sharia labels, product knowledge, and location on the interest in saving among merchants in Pasar Besar, Malang. Specifically, it seeks to determine how these factors individually and collectively influence customers' decisions to save in Islamic banks.MethodA quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing non-probability purposive sampling to gather data from 135 respondents through questionnaires. The analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS to perform validity, reliability, normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and multiple linear regression tests to validate the hypotheses.ResultsThe findings indicate that Sharia labels, product knowledge, and location significantly affect the interest in saving. Specifically, the t-test results show that each variable has a statistically significant impact, with t-values greater than the t-table value of 1.978. Additionally, the F-test confirms that these variables collectively influence the interest in saving, with an F-value of 50.579 exceeding the threshold of 2.67.ImplicationsThe study's implications for further research suggest exploring additional factors such as customer service quality and financial incentives, and employing mixed-method approaches to gain deeper insights. For policymakers and Islamic banks, the findings highlight the importance of enhancing Sharia compliance visibility, improving customer education on Islamic banking products, and strategically locating bank branches to attract more customers.Originality/NoveltyThis study offers a novel exploration of the combined effects of Sharia labels, product knowledge, and location on saving interest in the context of Islamic banking. It provides new insights into customer behavior in a specific market segment, contributing to the broader understanding of factors that influence the adoption of Islamic financial services.
