Abstract

Differentiated learning in elementary schools (SD) is something that needs to be implemented by educational units. To realize good differentiated learning at the elementary school level, PGSD UNIPA Surabaya carried out a Workshop on Increasing Teacher Competency in Content-Based Differentiated Learning. This training population was carried out at SDN Kutorejo, Mojokerto Regency and the training sample was at SDN Sampang Agung Kutorejo, Mojokerto Regency. Data collection techniques use observation, documentation and filling out satisfaction questionnaires. The results of this training were that one hundred percent of participants were satisfied with the Workshop on Improving Teacher Competency in Content-Based Differentiated Learning, the participants' abilities increased from a score of 50 to 80.

Abstract

The purpose of this review study is to show how mutations support the expansion of human resources (teachers). Mutation is a policy taken by the government to equalize HR (teacher) competence in an area. The method used in this article is a review of the literature used to write this research. The search for relevant publications was conducted using Google Scholar and websites of relevant journals and books. Therefore, this study tries to synthesize information from previous research which then concludes that mutation policies can develop HR (teachers) regarding the evolution of human resources (HR).

Abstract

Sebagai seorang calon guru SD tugas utama adalah mampu merencanakan suatu perencanaan pembelajaran yang inovatif. Untuk itu, pemahaman konseptual dalam merencanakan pembelajaran harus ditekankan pada seluruh mahasiswa PGSD. Pemahaman konseptual merupakan suatu proses bertahap yang masing-masing tahap mempunyai kemampuan tersendiri, seperti; menerjemahkan, menginterprestasikan, ekstrapolasi, aplikasi, analisis, sintesis, dan evaluasi. Salah satu mata kuliah prasyarat bagi seluruh mahasiswa PGSD lulus dalam mata kuliah perencanaan pembelajaran mengingat pentingnya suatu perencanaan dalam pembelajaran sebagai bekal menjadi seorang pendidik. Adapun tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa PGSD dalam merencanakan pembelajaran. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD angkatan 2017 sebanyak tiga mahasiswa. Penelitian yang akan dilakukan merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena dari data yang diperoleh merupakan data yang berupa kalimat-kalimat deskriptif dan gambar-gambar visual. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 5 tahapan, yaitu tahap awal meliputi studi literature dan studi empiric, tahap penyusunan soal tes, tahap utama pemberian soal kepada mahasiswa, tahap analisis data, dan tahap pelaporan. Dari penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, diketahui bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran sebagai sub sistem dari sistem pembelajaran, dengan demikian memiliki komponen-komponen yang memiliki fungsi sendiri-sendiri dan saling terkait bersama-sama untuk mencapai tujuan dan berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dinyatakan bahwa pemahaman konseptual dalam perencanaan pembelajaran mahasiswa dinyatakan “sangat baik”

Abstract

Finding the problem-based learning (PBL) learning strategy with the use of a visual media tool is the primary goal of the written research. Canva has an impact on primary school kids' science learning outcomes. because science and related subjects continue to have low learning outcomes for elementary school students. According to research that has been published in a number of journals, social studies pupils in elementary schools have not yet attained 75 KKM (Minimum Competency Criteria). To solve this issue, the visual media tool Canva was utilized in conjunction with the learning methodology known as Problem-Based Learning (PBL). With this approach, students are motivated to solve issues, collaborate with others, work actively, and apply what they have learned. They also have the chance to learn, apply what they have learned, and overcome obstacles in groups. The written research uses the visual media application Canva to make sure that the learning model, Problem Based Learning (PBL), has an impact on elementary school students' scientific learning results. Examining the study, it was found that posttest research design was combined with quantitative research methods. The study population comprised all fourth-grade pupils of SDN Sedati Gede II. Twenty-five pupils from class IV-A were selected to serve as the experimental group, and the remaining twenty-five students from class IV-C served as the control group. A multiple-choice test consisting of twenty questions and a teacher activity observation sheet were used as the data gathering tools. The T-test, the homogeneity test, and the normalcy test were the three techniques employed for data analysis. The study's findings, which were analyzed using SPSS 25, indicated that the T-test results with H0 rejected, indicating that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model supported by the visual media of the Canva application had an impact on the science and natural science learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

Thinking at a higher level requires decision making based on a thorough examination of the origins of the problem through the application of logic and reasoning. Higher-order thinking in students can be influenced by the application of the problem-based learning model. This study aims to examine how the problem-based learning model affects students' capacity for higher-order thinking in elementary school science subjects. It is a quantitative study using a True Experimental Design, specifically a Posttest-Only Control Design, involving 46 fourth-grade students 23 from Class IV A as the experimental group and 23 from Class IV B as the control group. The treatment involved using a problem-based learning model, and the data collection instrument was a higher-order thinking test with questions about the anatomical structure of plants. The Independent Samples Test t-test was used for data analysis. The study shows that elementary school students' ability to think critically increases when they use the problem-based learning approach in science learning. The results indicate that the problem-based learning model can improve students' understanding of the learning content and their capacity for higher-order thinking.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cognitive style (reflective and impulsive) on students' analytical abilities. Analytical ability is part of learning outcomes. There are seven levels of cognitive learning outcomes which include knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creative problem-solving. Students' analytical abilities are influenced by many things, one of which is cognitive style. Cognitive style is a way of accepting and managing attitudes towards information, as well as habits related to the world of individual learning. Reflective and impulsive cognitive styles are cognitive styles with indicators of time understanding concepts. Reflective cognitive styles usually take a long time to respond, but consider all available options, and have high concentration while learning. Meanwhile, students with an impulsive cognitive style are the opposite. The approach used in this study is a correlational and multiple regression approach. The variables in this study are reflective cognitive style and impulsive cognitive style as independent variables and analytical skills as the dependent variable with a population of 130 students. The results showed that there was a relationship between students' cognitive style and analytical skills. The greater the cognitive style score, the greater the analytical ability score. Then the cognitive style affects the analytical ability of 19.9%, where the other 80.1% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Asessment of learning outcomes is a crucial component of the educational process, with Assessment of Learning (AoL) serving as a key approach to evaluating students' achievements after the learning process. However, many teachers face challenges in designing valid, reliable, and appropriate assessment instruments that meet learning needs. This study aims to enhance teachers' competencies in designing high-quality AoL through an intensive training program. The methodology involves needs analysis, training material development, workshops, group discussions, practical simulations, as well as mentoring and field supervision. The training results show a significant improvement in teachers' understanding of concepts such as validity, reliability, and their ability to develop instruments based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The increase in the average score from the pre-test to the post-test by 24.7% demonstrates the program's success in improving teachers' competencies. This study highlights the importance of an integrated training approach to optimize teachers' abilities in designing high-quality assessments that support educational success.

Abstract

AbstrakPerencanaan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan sebuah tuntutan kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru sekolah dasar. Sebagian besar guru merasa kesulitan dalam merencanakan penelitian tindakan kelas. PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru guru SDN Gayungan 2 tentang perencanaan PTK. Mitra PKM ini adalah guru-guru di SDN Gayungan 2 Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian adalah workshop. Kegiatan pengabdian secara keseluruhan dapat dinilai cukup baik, dilihat dari keberhasilan target jumlah peserta pelatihan dinilai baik, ketercapaian tujuan pelatihan dinilai kurang baik, ketercapaian target materi yang telah direncanakan dinilai baik, dan kemampuan peserta dalam penguasaan materi dinilai baik. Kata Kunci: penelitian tindakan kelas, perencanaan AbstractClassroom Action Research Planning is a competency that elementary school teachers must have. Most teachers face difficulties in classroom action research. This PKM supports to improve the skills of Gayungan 2 Elementary School teachers about PTK planning. These PKM partners are teachers at SDN Gayungan 2 Surabaya. The method used in service activities is a workshop. Complete devotion activities, both viewed, as seen from the target number of good trainees, achievement of training objectives that are not good, achievement of the agreed target material, and the ability of participants to strengthen good material. Abstract

The problem-based learning model is an educational approach model that emphasizes the active role of students in the learning process by providing real problems to be solved. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on student learning outcomes in the fourth grade science subject on the material Me and My Needs. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the study were 54 fourth grade students of SDN Menanggal 601 Surabaya. According to the findings of the research that has been carried out, the T-test indicated that the posttest score for the experimental class reached 78.51, while the control class was only 66.22. In addition, the hypothesis analysis using the independent T-test obtained a significant value of 0.000. Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Learning Outcomes, IPAS

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low creativity of students in the subject of Natural Sciences, especially in the material of Diversity and Preserving Cultural Diversity, in the process of learning activities students often feel bored and unmotivated because the learning is too monotonous. This has an impact on student creativity as evidenced by the low value of student skills. “The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of interactive wordwall media on the creativity of students in the subject of Natural Sciences, material of diversity and preserving cultural diversity, class IV SDN Gulbung 1 Sampang. Wordwall is a digital learning platform that allows teachers to assist in various interactive and interesting learning activities. By using Wordwall, teachers can create various types of educational games that can increase students' interest and motivation to learn, so that learning becomes more effective and enjoyable. This type of research uses the "Quasy Experimental Design Type Post-Test Only Control Group Design" method where this study has 2 class groups, namely the experimental class (IV-A) and the control class (IV-B). The experimental class was given treatment using interactive Wordwall media while the control class went through conventional learning or without using media. This study uses a data collection technique in the form of a test. And the data analysis technique uses normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (t-test) To find out whether there is an influence of interactive wordwall media on the creativity of students in the subject of science. Based on the results of the study, the average value of the experimental class posttest was 44.9 and the control class was 35. Based on the results of the hypothesis test using the t-test with a significant level (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of interactive wordwall media on the creativity of students in the subject of science on diversity material and preserving cultural diversity in class IV SDN Gulbung 1 Sampang.
