Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh penggunaan media audiovisual terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa kelas III di SD Katolik 03 Fr Don Bosco Manado. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis penelitian yang diterapkan adalah eksperimen kelompok tunggal (one group pretest posttest design). Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi uji t-test adalah 0. 000, yang lebih kecil dari 0. 05. Selain itu, nilai t hitung yang diperoleh sebesar 6. 704 lebih besar daripada nilai t tabel, yaitu 2. 093. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media audiovisual memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa kelas III di SD Katolik 03 Fr Don Bosco Manado, yang berada di Provinsi Sulawesi Utara.Kata Kunci : Kosa Kata, Media Audio Visual, Penguasaan Kosa Kata, Bahasa Inggris

Abstract

This study uses materials on Public Space and Describing People to test how the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning paradigm affects the English learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Wioi Elementary School. Quantitative research using an experimental design is the methodology used. Thirty students were selected intentionally to be the research sample. A learning outcome test that assesses the understanding and application of vocabulary and sentence structure in the material being taught was used as an instrument. To find out whether there was a significant change in learning outcomes before and after the TPS model was applied, the test result data was evaluated using the t-test in SPSS. There was a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the TPS model was used, according to the results of the SPSS analysis which showed a significance value (p-value) of 0.000, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05. This shows how the TPS learning paradigm can improve students' English learning outcomes, especially those related to vocabulary understanding and speaking skills. As a result, the think-pair-share approach works well to improve students' learning outcomes in terms of character description and public space.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using digital quizzes as Student Worksheets (LKPD) in English learning to increase student participation. The research method uses quantitative descriptive, this study was conducted at Elementary School 8 Tondano. The subjects of this study were 25 grade VI students. The research instrument used was a student response questionnaire on the use of Quiz in implementing wordwalls during class learning as many as 20 questionnaires. The results showed that most students (60.3%) strongly agreed with the use of quizzes in learning, which shows that this method is effective and beneficial for them. These results indicate that most students like the use of quizzes when studying. Quizzes that are tailored to the subject matter also allow students to test their understanding directly, increasing student participation and their understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Write Around cooperative learning model on the English learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD GMIM 92 Bailang with public space material. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with data analysis using the SPSS program. The subjects of the study consisted of 22 students who were given treatment using the Write Around cooperative learning model. This study used an experimental design with pretest and posttest to measure changes in student learning outcomes. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant effect of using the Write Around cooperative learning model on improving students' English learning outcomes, especially in understanding public space material. This is evidenced by the results of the t-test (paired sample t-test) which showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Based on these findings, the Write Around cooperative learning model can be used as an alternative to improve the English learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD GMIM 92 Bailang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan melalui penggunaan media interaktif Wordwall. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dilakukan di kelas V SD Negeri 2 Tataaran dengan melibatkan 22 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam partisipasi siswa, motivasi belajar, dan hasil belajar setelah penggunaan Wordwall. Siswa lebih aktif dalam diskusi, mengajukan pertanyaan, dan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa Wordwall merupakan alat yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan keterlibatan siswa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of improving literacy culture among elementary school students through innovative and engaging learning media. Learning media is a tool that helps teachers convey learning materials in such a way that they make students interested and interested in the learning materials presented. Using learning media dramatically improves the learning process's efficiency and the delivery of messages and the content of learning materials. Media reinforces learning process activities with different characteristics and must be carefully selected to be used effectively. The right learning media is critical in supporting learning for students. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. This research focuses on SDN 1 Tataaran, one of the schools where PPL Pre-service PPG students are located. At the school, the class that is the place of observation has implemented pop-up book media. A four-week observation showed that pop-up books were a supporting medium in group and individual reading sessions. Interviews with students revealed they were more interested in reading when using pop-up books than regular textbooks. Most students admitted to feeling happy with the visual appearance and interactivity offered by the pop-up book. The study's conclusion shows that pop-up books are an effective and innovative learning medium. This research has made a significant contribution to the field of education, showing that interactive media such as pop-up books can improve various aspects of children's intelligence in an interesting and fun way. For further research, it is recommended that more careful planning is needed in the development of pop-up book media, which should be developed according to the needs and characteristics of students.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education in fostering a sense of love for the homeland in grade V students at 7 Tondano State Elementary School, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. Character education is an important foundation in shaping a young generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also has integrity, social responsibility, and strong nationalism. Methodology: Data was collected using a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation studies of learning activities, extracurricular activities, and teaching tools related to national values. Main Findings: The study's findings show that the values of love for the homeland are consistently integrated in the learning of Pancasila and Citizenship Education, and strengthened through school activities such as flag ceremonies, community service, and national holiday celebrations. The active role of teachers and principals as role models and creators of school culture that supports national character is the main factor in the implementation’s success. Despite this, challenges are still encountered, especially regarding the limitations of engaging learning media and limited time in the curriculum. This study contributes to developing character education practices in primary schools by emphasizing the importance of a contextual approach based on local culture. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This study's uniqueness lies in its incorporation of traditional Minahasa values such as cooperation (mapalus) into the formation of the character of love for the homeland, as well as recommendations for strengthening through innovative learning media relevant to the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the management of educational facilities and infrastructure at Christian Private Vocational High School, Christian Education Foundation in Manado, Evangelical Christian Church in Minahasa, with a specific focus on the Computer and Network Engineering department. The research is grounded in the reality that many key learning facilities—such as computer laboratories and internet networks—have not been managed effectively. However, the availability of appropriate resources is essential to support technology-based learning, especially in vocational education settings. A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that although planning for facility procurement has taken place, there are still significant challenges in the areas of organization, implementation, and supervision. The lack of a structured management system and limited technical personnel have led to poorly maintained facilities. Moreover, the involvement of teachers and students in reporting issues and maintaining equipment remains minimal. This study highlights the importance of applying the POAC management principles (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) in the administration of school infrastructure. The results are expected to serve as strategic input for the school, helping to create a more supportive and efficient learning environment that prepares students to compete in a technology-driven workforce.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze in depth the management of Equivalency Education Package C Program SPNF SKB Minahasa Tenggara Regency, especially regarding the planning, organization, implementation and supervision of the Package C Program at SPNF SKB Minahasa Tenggara Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach, which aims to describe the role of educational units in managing the management of equivalency education at SPNF SKB Minahasa Tenggara Regency. The results of the study prove that the management of Equivalency Education Package C program at SPNF SKB Minahasa Tenggara Regency is implemented through four main stages, namely: 1) Planning. Overall, the planning process has been carried out systematically, participatively, and responsively to the needs of the community. 2) Organizing. Overall, the organization of the Package C Program at SPNF SKB Minahasa Tenggara Regency has been carried out with a systematic, participatory, and needs-based managerial approach. 3) Implementation. Overall, the implementation of the Package C Program at SPNF SKB Minahasa Tenggara Regency has gone quite well and reflects the application of the principles of flexibility, active participation, and adaptation to the needs of students. 4) Supervision and Evaluation. Overall, supervision and evaluation in the Package C Program at SPNF SKB Southeast Minahasa Regency have a very important role in ensuring the quality and sustainability of the program
