Abstract

The background of this research was lowerness of th students’ conceptual understanding ability in mathematics. The purpose of this study was to describe the students' mathematical conceptual understanding ability in geometry material. The type of this study is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research were 26 students of XI IPA 2 grade in MAN 1 Sungai Penuh. The data collection techniques used include: (1) test of mathematical conceptual understanding ability; (2) observation sheet; (3) interview; and (4) documentation. The results of this study indicate that the average of students' mathematical conceptual understanding ability is 89,65 with very good category. From the seven indicators there are four indicators with very good category, namely restating a concept, presenting concepts in various forms of mathematical representations, developing necessary or sufficient requirements of a concept, and apply the concept or problem-solving algorithm. There is one indicator with good category, namely classify objects according to certain properties according to the concept. Then there are two indicators with enough category, namely provide examples and non-examples and use, utilize, and select certain procedures.

Abstract

Hypnoteaching comes from two words hypno and teaching. Hypnoteaching is a unique and imaginative learning method in which students follow the learning process in a fresh condition and are ready to accept the subject matter. This research is a quasi-experimental study with an inequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were selected by cluster random sampling obtained by Class VII A which consisted of 22 people who applied the Hypnoteaching approach and the Control Class was Class VII B which consisted of 20 people who applied direct learning. The data collection method used is the method of documentation, observation and learning achievement tests. From the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that: 1) student learning outcomes in the experimental class using the Hypnoteaching learning approach obtained an average value of 84.58 and categorized as very good, 2) student learning outcomes in the control class that did not use the Hypnoteaching learning approach were obtained the average score is 73 and categorized as good, and 3) there are differences in the student mathematical learning outcomes that use the Hypnoteaching approach and those that do not use the Hypnoteaching approach in class VII SMPN 7 Kerinci.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir logis merupakan salah satu kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang wajib dimiliki oleh siswa sebab berperan dalam menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan matematis yang lebih konsep. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir logis matematis siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian di sini didapat dengan Teknik purposive Sampling yaitu siswa kelas IX C dengan responden nya adalah 10 orang siswa yang diberikan tes kemampuan berpikir logis matematis  dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes kemampuan berpikir logis matematis untuk mendapatkan data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa kemampuan Berpikir Logis matematis siswa IX C Mts Tanah Kampung 60% siswa dikategorikan sangat baik berdasarkan analisis soal yang dikerjakan siswa dan siswa mampu memperkirakan jawaban dan proses dengan runtut, mengajukan argumen dan melakukan penarikan kesimpulan terhadap penyelesaian soal SPLDV. Selanjutnya, kategori Sedang dicapai oleh 20% siswa, mampu meruntutkan penyelesaian soal dan mengajukan argumen tapi belum bisa menarik kesimpulan secara logis pada materi SPLDV. Kemudian terdapat 20% siswa mencapai kategori Kurang karena belum mampu meruntutkan dan mengajukan argumen. Siswa hanya memberikan argumen pada beberapa langkah penyelesaian masalah, dan tidak dapat memberikan argumen pada hasil akhir yang diberikan. Pada Penarikan kesimpulan, siswa tidak memberikan kesimpulan pada beberapa langkah penyelesaian sehingga tidak didapatkan jawaban akhir atau kesimpulan akhir ataupun memberikan kesimpulan yang salah.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this research is the lack of students’ learning interest, thelack of visual learning media, the lack of encouragement from the environment to increasestudent learning objectives in learning Aqidah Akhlak. This research problem is: (1) whetherthere is an influence of the use of visual learning media on students’ learning interest; (2) howmuch influence the use of visual learning media has on student learning interest. The purposeof this study is to determine the effect of visual media variabel (X) on learning interesrt (Y). Inthis study, data analysis used quantitative methods, namely by testing simple linear regressiondata instruments, and testing hypotheses data collection techniques using questionnaires bydistributing questionaires to 7 respondents in class VII student of Mutiara Al-Madani middleschool based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a positive andsignificant influence between the variable use of visual learning media on students’ learninginterest in Aqidah Akhlak learning as evidenced by t count t table 3.409 2,571, while themagnitude of the influence between the use of visual learning media on student learninginterest Aqidah Akhlak learning is 69,8%.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang kemampuan berpikir logis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir logis matematis yang dimiliki siswa SMPN 4 Kota Sungai Penuh Pengumpulan data kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa menggunakan teknik tes dan dokumentasi. Instrumen tes yang digunakan adalah soal uraian yang berjumlah 4 butir soal kemampuan berpikir logis. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan cara mereduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 26 orang siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Kota Sungai Penuh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualifikasi kemampuan berpikir logis 50% siswa dikategorikan sangat baik dalam menyelesaikan soal dengan mampu menafsirkan soal,memprediksi, memecahkan masalah, dan menarik kesimpulan.This article examines the ability to think logically and mathematically students. This study aims to describe the ability to think logically mathematically possessed by students of SMPN 4 Kota Sungai Lilin. Data collection on students' mathematical reasoning abilities used testing and documentation techniques. The test instrument used is a description of 4 questions about the ability to think logically. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The subjects of this study were 26 students of class VIII SMPN 4 Kota Sungai Lilin. The results of this study indicate that 50% of students' logical thinking skills are categorized as very good at solving problems by being able to interpret questions, predict, solve problems, and draw conclusions.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan kemampuan penting dalam matematis, tetapi capaiannya belum maksimal. Penelitian deskriptif ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII MTs dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika pada bentuk aljabar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan dokumentasi. Instrumen tes berupa 3 buah soal uraian kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan cara mereduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 8 orang siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu MTs di Tanah Kampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualifikasi kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis 25% siswa dikategorikan sangat baik dalam mengenal bentuk aljabar dan unsur-unsurnya, mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur bentuk aljabar dari operasi bentuk aljabar, dan menyelesaikan operasi bentuk aljabar pada masalah kontekstual. Selanjutnya, kategori baik dicapai oleh 37,5% siswa, kategori cukup dicapai oleh 25% siswa, dan kategori kurang dicapai oleh 12,5% siswa. Tidak ditemukan siswa dengan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis sangat kurang. Conceptual understanding is an important ability in mathematics, but the achievement is not optimal. This descriptive study aims to describe the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VIII MTs students in solving mathematical problems in algebraic forms. Data collection using test and documentation techniques. The test instrument is in the form of 3 questions describing the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The subjects of this study were 8 class VIII students at one of the MTs in Tanah Kampung. The results showed that 25% of the student's qualifications for understanding mathematical concepts were categorized as very good at recognizing algebraic forms and their elements, identifying algebraic elements from algebraic operations, and solving algebraic operations on contextual problems. Furthermore, the good category was achieved by 37.5% of students, the moderate category was achieved by 25% of students, and the poor category was achieved by 12.5% ​​of students. There were no students with a very poor understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS berbasis Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Script yang valid, praktis, dan efektif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi SPLDV. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 10 Kerinci. Instrumen menggunakan angket dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. LKS berbasis Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Script dari ahli media dinyatakan valid dengan tingkat persentase 75,33% dan dari ahli materi dinyatakan sangat valid dengan tingkat persentase 89%, LKS dinyatakan sangat praktis dengan tingkat persentase 87,90%, dan LKS dinyatakan efektif dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata 82,81%. Ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS tersebut telah valid, praktis, dan efektif. This research aims to produce worksheets based on the Cooperative Script Learning Model that are valid, practical, and effective on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in SPLDV material. This research uses the ADDIE model. The research was carried out at SMP Negeri 10 Kerinci. The instrument uses a questionnaire and tests the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The LKS based on the Cooperative Script Learning Model from media experts was declared valid with a percentage level of 75.33% and from material experts it was declared very valid with a percentage level of 89%, the LKS was declared very practical with a percentage level of 87.90%, and the LKS was declared effective with a score obtained. average 82.81%. This shows that the worksheet is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Integrating technology into learning is a challenge for education in the current digital era, so innovation is needed to make students' cognitive, constructive processes more optimal. This development research aims to produce edutainment media in the form of quality mobile technology-based "Number Game" video games. This type of research is developed using the ADDIE model. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and tests. The mobile game was implemented for VII graders of junior high school consisting of 34 students. The research instruments comprised media and material validation sheets, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, and conceptual understanding ability test instruments. The results showed that the "Number Game" edutainment media developed was valid with an average media validation score of 4.49, with a very good classification. The mean material validation score is 4.17, with a good classification. The "Number Game" game developed is practical, with an average teacher response questionnaire score of 3.75 with a good classification, an average student response questionnaire score is 3.35 with a good classification, and an average percentage of learning implementation is 93.51% with a very good category. The "Number Game" game effectively understood students' concepts, with a learning completeness percentage of 67.64 with an effective classification. It is concluded that educational games are feasible and effective in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan kepada dugaan bahwa Siswa Jurusan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) memiliki hasil belajar matematika yang rendah khususnya siswa pada Pondok Pesantren yang lebih mendalami Ilmu Agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa IPS di Pondok Pesantren. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas XI IPS pada Pondok Pesantren Robitotul Istiqomah Pasar Huristak, Palas yang berjumlah 92 orang siswa kemudian diambil sampel sebanyak 30 orang siswa secara random dengan cara pengundian. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu metode Eksprimen. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Data hasil observasi dianalisis secara deskriptif kemudian data hasil tes dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji-t sebab sebaran data normal dan populasi homogen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa: (1) nilai rata-rata data hasil Lembar Observasi terhadap proses pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah adalah sebesar 3,25 dengan kategori sangat baik; (2) nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa sebelum belajar dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah adalah sebesar 62,46 dengan kategori cukup, sedangkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa sesudah belajar dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah adalah sebesar 73,86 dengan kategori baik; (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifkan antara Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.
