Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of guided inquiry learning model to students cognitive learning outcomes and science generic skills (SGS). The samples were students of SMAN 1 Tumijajar that were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The quantitative data were students learning outcomes and SGS. The qualitative data were observation result of SGS and responses. The results were students cognitive indicators (C2, C3, C4, C6) of experiment class with average N-gain which was 58,00 that different significantly and higher than control class which was 39,70, only C5 indicator that was not different. Average N-gain of SGS from experiment class 68,76 which was different significantly and higher than control class which was 35,28. Most of students (88.23%) gave positive responses. Thus, the application of guided inquiry learning model could improve cognitive learning outcomes and SGS of students in the subject matter of Ecosystem.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan Keterampilan Generik Sains (KGS) siswa. Sampel adalah siswa SMAN 1 Tumijajar dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar kognitif dan KGS. Data kualitatif berupa observasi KGS dan tanggapan siswa. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain (58,00) berbeda signifikan dan lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (39,70). Rata-rata N-gain indikator soal C2, C3,C4, C5 dan C6 kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi. Hanya pada indikator C5 berbeda tidak signifikan. KGS siswa kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain (68,76) berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (35,28). Sebagian besar siswa (88,23%) memberikan tanggapan positif. Sehingga, penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan KGS siswa pada materi pokok Ekosistem.Kata kunci : inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan generik sains, ranah kognitif

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties of science teachers of eighth grade at Langkapura Bandar Lampung in the academic year of 2016/2017. The difficulties include the planing and implementations of assessment for their students. Thus, all science teachers of grade VIII were selected by non probability sampling technique. This research design was descriptive. Qualitative data were obtained from the questionnaire and interviews that were analysis descriptively. The research result showed that the difficulties of science teachers in planning the assessment were classified as quite difficult to determine the purpose of the assessment, arranging the instrument, composing the lattice works of question, writing questions based on the lattice and the rules of writing questions, determining the quality criteria of question, and arranging the scoring guidelines. The difficulties in implementing the assessments were indicators of affective, psychomotor, and cognitive which was classified in high criteria. So, teachers difficulties in planning the assessment is classified in quite criteria, meanwhile implementing the assessment was high criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan guru IPA kelas VIII SMP se-Kecamatan Langkapura Kotamadya Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2017/2017. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru IPA kelas VIII yang dipilih dengan teknik sampling non probability. Desain penelitian adalah desain deskriptif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari hasil angket dan wawancara pada guru yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kesulitan guru IPA dalam merencanakan asesmen tergolong kriteria cukup pada indikator menetapkan tujuan asesmen, menyusun instrumen, menyusun kisi-kisi soal, menulis soal berdasarkan kisi-kisi dan kaidah penulisan soal, menentukan kriteria mutu soal, serta menyusun pedoman penskoran. Kesulitan dalam melaksanakan asesmen pada indikator pelaksanaan asesmen ranah afektif, psikomotorik, dan kognitif tergolong kriteria tinggi. Jadi, kesulitan guru dalam merencanakan asesmen termasuk kriteria cukup dan melaksanakan asesmen termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi.Kata kunci: asesmen, kesulitan, melaksanakan asesmen, merencanakan asesmen

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of Student Work Sheet (SWS) based inquiry towards student Critical Thinking Skills (CTS). The samples of this research were XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 that was chosen by purposive sampling. The quantitative data was obtained from the average value of test that analyzed by using U-test. The qualitative data were description of  student CTS, learning activities and questionnaire responsed that analyzed descriptively. The results of experiments showed that the improvement of student CTS was increase in experiment class with gain average (0.45) in middle criteria. Gain average on deduction skils (0.29); induction skill (0.75); and argument skill (0.63). Where as students average of learning activities was (61.70%)  with middle criteria. Thus, learning used SWS based inquiry was influenced not significantly to improve students CTS.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis  inkuiri terhadap KBK (Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis) siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 yang dipilih secara  purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi KBK, aktivitas belajar, dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan KBK siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata  gain (0,45) yang berkriteria sedang. Rata-rata gain pada kemampuan melakukan deduksi (0,29); keterampilan melakukan induksi (0,75); dan keterampilan mengemukakan argumen (0,63). Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar (61,70%)  yang berkriteria sedang. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis inkuiri berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan KBK siswa.Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, KBK, LKS berbasis inkuiri

Abstract

Critical thinking skills (CBC) should be owned by every student. Observations indicate that the CBC eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 19 F Bandar Lampung is not optimal . The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of media realia through cooperative learning model type STAD the critical thinking skills of students in the subject matter of Structure and Function of Plants. The study design was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. Quantitative data obtained from the value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain statistically analyzed using t-test with 5% probability level. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data and questionnaire responses realia media students through model type STAD The results showed that the applicability of realia media through type STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. In addition, an increase in students in the experimental class KBK with an average gain of 49.41% N-are the criteria being. The average percentage of student learning activities in all aspects of that observed in the experimental class had sufficient criterion is 43.56%. Most of the students gave a positive response to the use of realia media through STAD cooperative learning model type. Thus, through the use of realia media type STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: Media realia, type STAD cooperative learning, CBC, Structure and Function mainly description

Abstract

The purpose of this study was known influence of using picture card media toward critical thinking of students. This study design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were X4  and X5  that chosen by purposive sampling. The data of research qualitative and quantitative. The form of qualitative data was descriptions of learning activities and students questionnaire responses. Quantitative data taken of the average value of test were analyzed using t-test and U test. The results showed that activities students discipline and motivation (88.46), interaction with their partners (79.81) and communication skills of students (69.23) increased. Most of the studens gave a  positive response to the use of  picture card. Critical thinking of students was also improve with average N-gain 51.67. Thus, it can be concluded that learning use picture card media  was influenced to improve critical thinking of students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kartu bergambar terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen.  Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X4dan X5 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.  Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas kedisiplinan dan motivasi siswa (88.46), interaksi siswa dengan pasangannya (79.81) dan kecakapan komunikasi siswa (69.23) mengalami peningkatan. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan media kartu bergambar. Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 51.67. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan media kartu bergambar berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas, kartu bergambar, keterampilan berpikir kritis

Abstract

The results of observation with X grades’ biology teacher of Persada Senior High School Bandar Lampung, there’s note that in the learning process students receive most information from teacher (teacher centered), so the effect forward to student learning activity and material mastery are still not optimal yet. One of the efforts to maximize it are using TGT models learning and  Flash Card media. The study aimed at inflence of TGT models with Flash Card media towards learning students’ activity and material mastery. This study uses design pretest-posttest not equivalent model with X3as experiments’ class (27 students) and X1 as controls’ class (30 students) was elected in cluster random sampling technique. The data of this study was obtained from the pretest and posttest, observation sheet and questionnaire of students respon about this study. Data analyzed using a t-test and u-test on the SPSS17 program. The results showed that average percentage of students learning activities in all aspect that observed in experiment class (77,62 %) was higher than control class (62,78 %), with an average N-Gain of material mastery on 65,89 % in experimental and control class on 38,65 %. In addition, 27 students was pleased to learn the matter of virus by using TGT models and Flash Card media. Thus, the used of TGT models and Flash Cards have influation toward students learning activities and material mastery of Virus as significantly. Keywords: TGT, Flash Card, material mastery, student learning activity, Virus.

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the use of the video media towards students activity and students learning result. The research design was non equivalent pretest – posttest. The research sample were students in VII F and VII H class that was selected by cluster random sampling. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. The result showed that the activity of the student was increased, it were students teamwork (78.33), observation result presentation/group (79.99), and asking question (66.66). The students learning outcomes was also improved, with N-gain average score was 56.14. It means, that the use of the video media was impact with the increase of students activity and students learning result of the material characteristics of living things.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media video terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII F dan VII H yang dipilih secara cluster random  sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, yaitu bekerjasama dengan teman (78,33), mempresentasikan hasil diskusi (79,99) dan mengajukan pertanyaan (66,66). Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 56,14. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media video berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, media video

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of PBI model to self efficacy and students learning outcomes on the influence of population density to environment subject matter. The design of this research was control group pretest-posttest. The samples of this research were the students at VIIA and VIIB SMPN 2 Seputih Mataram which were chosen by purposive sampling. The learning outcomes were analyzed statistically by using one way anova. The qualitative data were the increasing of self efficacy which were obtained from questionaire and analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the average of self efficacy in experiment class (76) was higher than control class (67,8) and students learning outcomes increased significantly with the average in experiment class (62,2) and control class (54). Based on this research, it can be concluded that the PBI model gave influence to self efficacy and students learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBI terhadap Self efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok pengaruh kepadatan populasi manusia terhadap lingkungan. Desain penelitian ini control group pretest postest. Sampel adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB SMPN 2 Seputih Mataram dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data hasil belajar dianalisis dengan Anova satu jalur. Data kualitatif berupa peningkatan self efficacy yang diperoleh melalui angket yang dianalisa secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata self efficacy kelas eksperimen (76) lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (67,8) dan hasil belajar siswa meningkat signifikan dengan rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen (62,2) dan kelas kontrol (54). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBI berpengaruh terhadap self efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, PBI, self efficacy

Abstract

Critical thinking skills should be owned by everyone. Observations indicate that the students’ thinking skills of class IX SMP N 8 Bandar Lampung had been developed. Therefore, it is necessary to act as a solution to improve the students’ thinking skills. One way to use multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type. This research aimed to find out the effect of the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type to the students' thinking skills on the subject matter of the Human Reproductive System.The research design was pretest-posttest design are not equivalent. The research sample is class IX A and IX B are selected from the population at random cluster sampling. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain satistik analyzed. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data taken using the rubric student activity data and student responses to learning using multimedia animation with type STAD cooperative learning model that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type significantly affect toward students' thinking skills. In addition, an increase of students critical thinking in the experimental class with an average N-gain 63.95%  is medium criteria, on average N-gain of all the indicators of students in the experimental class students' thinking skills also increased the amount of 65.88% with criteria being. The average percentage of student learning activities in all aspects of that observed in the experimental class has medium criteria 71.75%. Abstract

This study was aim to compare of STAD model and Jigsaw of learning activities and mastery of materials the student. This study design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were VIIA  and VIIB, chosen by purposive sampling. This research data the form of quantitative which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test and qualitative data which obtained form the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptive. The results showed that the use of STAD model and Jigsaw was improve mastery of materials by students, but Jigsaw model (N-gain 68.94) was higher and significantly different than STAD (N-gain 59.17). Learning activities student was also improve with average 82 (Jigsaw) and 73 (STAD). Most students responded positively to use of STAD model and Jigsaw.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbandingan model STAD dan Jigsaw terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U dan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model STAD dan Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan penguasaan materi oleh siswa, namun penggunaan model Jigsaw (N-gain 68,94) lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan STAD (N-gain 59,17). Aktivitas belajar siswa juga meningkat dengan rata-rata 82 (Jigsaw) dan 73 (STAD).  Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model STAD dan Jigsaw.Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, jigsaw, penguasaan materi, STAD
