Abstract

The purpose of this study was know the influence of using learning model STAD through video in increasing activities and material mastery of students class X SMA 7 Bandar Lampung. The study design was pretest-postest non equivalent. X8 and X9 were samples of this study which was chosen by cluster random sampling. The research data were quantitative which was obtained from the average of pretest and posttest analyzed by using t-test or U test. The qualitative was learning activities which obtained from observation sheet and analyzed by index learning activities. The result showed that learning activities of experiment class increased (71.35%). The average of material mastery of students experiment class higher than control class (experiment=80,49; control=77,93). Thus, the conclusion was learning activities and material mastery of pollution area could be improved by using STAD through video.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran tipe STAD melalui media video dalam peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa kelas X SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung. Desain penelitian ini adalah tes awal-tes akhir tak equivalen.  Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X8 dan X9 yang ditetapkan secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t atau uji U. Data kualitatif yaitu aktivitas belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan indeks aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan (71,35%). Rata-rata penguasaan materi oleh siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (eksperimen = 80,49;  kontrol = 77,93). Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD melalui media video berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi Pencemaran Lingkungan oleh siswa. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, media video, penguasaan materi, STAD

Abstract

Critical thinking skills in students XI Grade Science of Senior High School 7 Bandar Lampung not developed. This is because learning process dominated by teacher. One alternative that can be used to make students active in critical thinking is PBL models. The purpose of this study were to determine the effect of PBL models to the students' critical thinking skills. The design was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. The samples in this study was students of XI Grade Science 2 and 3 where selected with clusster random sampling technique. The data of this study is in quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain statistically analyzed using t-test. Qualitative data taken from student learning activities observation sheet, and then analyzed descriptively.The results showed that the use of PBL models improve students' critical thinking skills with the average pretest score (24.11), posttest (68.95), and N-gain (59.86).Student learning activities that use the models PBL also increased from meeting I with an average of 55.09 to meeting II increased with an average of 69.91, and rise again on third meeting with the average of 80.32. Thus, application of the model PBL influential in improving critical thinking skills by students.Keywords: PBL Models, critical thinking skills, learning activities, and circulatory system.

Abstract

This study was aimed to knowing the influence of  using Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model toward students critical thinking skill and students learning activity. This study design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were VIIB  and VIID, chosen by purposive sampling. This research data were  quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data obtained form the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the NHT model can improve students critical thinking skill, with N-gain average score was 52.47.  The student learning activities also develop, they were teamwork (90.83),  express their idea (84.16), asking the questions (72.50), answer the questions (89.16), and listen to the discussion (92.50). Most students responded positively (agree) to use of NHT model. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Desain penelitian pretes-postes kelompok non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIB dan VIID, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model NHT dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 52,47. Aktivitas belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu bekerjasama dalam kelompok (90,83), mengemukakan gagasan (84,16), mengajukan pertanyaan (72,50), menjawab pertanyaan (89,16), dan mendengarkan diskusi (92,50). Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif (setuju) terhadap penggunaan model NHT.Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, NHT

Abstract

The studys aim were to find the characteristics of learnig style, the different based on gender and the correlation with science learning achievement. This study was descriptive. Samples were 318 of 64% VII grade students in Labuhan Ratu, that using purposive sampling. Research data were laerning style and learning achievement that were obtained from questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using Mann Whitney U different test and Kendalls Tau correlation test. As a result, there are three learning styles was visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The dominant learning styles of the students was auditory. The difference between learning styles and gender was not significant and the correlation between learning styles to learning achievement was low level of the relationship "low".Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan bagaimana gaya belajardan perbedaannya antar gender serta korelasional dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP di Sekecamatan Labuhan Ratu. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII dengan purposive sampling berjumlah 318 siswa. Data kualitatif berupa gaya belajar yang diperoleh dari skor jawaban angket siswa yang dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif dan data kuantitatif berupa data hasil belajar, untuk mengetahui hubungan gaya belajar dan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan uji statistik menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U dan uji Korelasi Kendalls Tau. Hasilnya, terdapat tiga gaya belajar yaitu visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik. Gaya belajar yang dominan dimiliki siswa adalah auditorial. Gaya belajar antar gender perbedaannya tidak signifikan dan korelasi antara gaya belajar dengan hasil belajar dengan tingkat keeratan hubungan rendah.Kata kunci: gaya belajar, gender, hasil belajar

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of compost dose and watering intervals on the soybean growth. The results of the study are used as source material of Student’s Worksheet (SW). Research factorial arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors and four replications. The first factor, compost dose: 2.5; 5; 7.5 tons/ha. The second factor, watering interval: 0.5 L/day, 0.5 L/2 days, and 0.5 L/ 3 days. The parameters measured were the soybean plants growth rate and viability of SW. Data were analyzed and tested range of HSD at 5% level. The results showed that the watering interval of 0.5 L/day significantly affected the soybean plants growth rate during the period 7-14 and 21-28 days after planting while the 0.5 L/3 days significantly in the period 14-21 days after planting. The mean value test of the SW application to students of class XII is 82. Thereby very feasible used as a source of learning.Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk kompos dan interval penyiraman terhadap  pertumbuhan  kedelai.  Hasil penelitian digunakan sebagai sumber materi penyusunan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS). Penelitian disusun secara faktorial dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua faktor dan 4 ulangan.  Faktor pertama,  dosis kompos: 2,5; 5; 7,5 Ton/Ha.  Faktor kedua, interval penyiraman: 0,5 L/hari, 0,5 L/2 hari, dan 0,5 L/3 hari.  Parameter yang diukur adalah kecepatan pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai  dan  kelayakan LKS. Data dianalisis ragam dan diuji BNJ pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interval penyiraman 0,5 L/hari berpengaruh nyata terhadap kecepatan pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai pada periode 7-14 dan 21-28 HST sedangkan 0,5 L/3hari berpengaruh nyata pada periode 14-21 HST.  Nilai rerata ujian  penerapan LKS bagi siswa kelas XII SMA adalah 82.  Dengan demikan LKS  dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata kunci: dosis kompos, kecepatan pertumbuhan, kedelai, penyiraman.

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the using of cooperative learning model think pair share (TPS) toward students learning activities and conceptual understanding. This study design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were students from class VIII A and VIII C SMP N 1 Banjit Way Kanan selected by purposive sampling. The quantitative data ware obtained from the average of pretest-posttest and N-gain that were analyzed using U test. The qualitative data were description of learning activities and students' questionnaire responses. The study results showed that TPS can improved students conceptual understanding with the average N-gain is 60,45. Activity of teamwork, persentation, and express of ideas were increasedwith an average 60,45%. N-gain average of C1 is 60,21%, C2 is 67,57% C3 is 82,41% and C4 is 70,51%. Thus, using TPS learning model can increased students learning activities and conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan model pembelajaran TPS terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes posttes non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII C SMP N 1 Banjit Way Kanan yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretest-posttes dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan TPS meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa secara signifikan dengan rata-rata N-gain 60,45. Aktivitas bekerjasama, presentasi, dan mengemukakan ide/pendapat mengalami peningkatan memperoleh rata-rata 78,87%. Rata-rata N-gain pada indikator C1 yaitu 60,21%, C2 yaitu 67,57% C3 yaitu 82,41% dan C4 yaitu 70,51%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran mengguna-kan model TPS pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa.Kata kunci : penguasaan konsep, tahapan perkembangan manusia, TPS

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of Talking Stick model in improving the afective of receiving and responding of the students at environmental pollution and waste material. The design was one-shot case study. The sample was class X1 selected by cluster random sampling. The research data was qualitative form. The qualitative data was obtained from the afective of receiving and responding percentage of the students by using Talking Stick model that was analyzed descriptively. The result showed that using Talking Stick model can improve the afective of receiving of the students with an average of 77.77% with good criteria and responding of the students with an average of 84.71% with good criteria. It was also showed from the increase of all aspects that was observed. Thus it can be concluded that using Talking Stick model in influence in increasing the afective of receiving and responding of the students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Talking Stick terhadap afektif receiving dan responding siswa pada materi Pencemaran Lingkungan dan Limbah. Desain penelitian ini adalah one-shot case study. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X1 yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif. Data kualitatif berupa rata-rata persentase afektif receiving dan responding siswa terhadap penggunaan model Talking Stick yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Talking Stick dapat meningkatkan afektif receiving dengan rata-rata sebesar 77,77% dengan kriteria baik dan responding dengan rata-rata sebesar 84,71% dengan kriteria baik.  Hal ini juga terlihat dari peningkatan untuk semua aspek yang di amati. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Talking Stick berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan afektif receiving dan responding siswa. Kata kunci : afektif receiving, afektif responding, pencemaran lingkungan dan limbah, talking stick

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the student’s mastery of concepts in learning through Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model and Gallery Walk (GW) in the subject matter excretion system. The research design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent groups. Samples were students of class XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 randomly selected by cluster  random sampling technique. The quantitative data was N-gain obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest were statistically analyzed using t-test. The qualitative data was obtained from student learning activity. The result of this research proves the activities in express their argument, asking, team work, get improves by N-gain score in TSTS class at 44.51 where as in GW class 36.51. Because of that using a model TSTS gave significant influance in increasing mastery of concept and student learning activity. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep dalam pembelajaran melalui model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dan Gallery Walk (GW) pada materi pokok sistem ekskresi. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 yang dipilih secara acak dengan tekhnik cluster random sampling. Data kuantitatif  berupa N-gain  diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t. Data kualitatif  berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktivitas mengemukakan pendapat, bertanya, bekerjasama, mengalami peningkatan dengan skor N-gain pada kelas TSTS 44,51 sedangkan  pada kelas GW  sebesar 36,51. Dengan demikian penggunaan model TSTS berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan aktivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, gallery walk, penguasaan konsep, sistem eksresi, two stay two stray

Abstract

The Biology learning process  in the  eight grade class of Junior High School  IX Bandar Lampung  is dominated by the teacher whose uses lecuring teaching strategis. This situation needs students to note the information fast and  properly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using mind map noting technique to improve students' biotechnology concepts mastery and students' learning activities. Students of class IXE and  class IXC was chosen  as sample using  randomize block design sampling technique. The study used pre-post test non equivalent design, and obtained of the quantitative data using   and N-gain score.The qualitative data were aspects of students` learning activities. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 17 software while the qualitative data were analyzed descriptively.The results showed that the effect of mind map noting technique  had not significantly improved the students`s concepts mastery. However the students` activities  increased  as much as  23.06%. Thus, the use of mind map noting techniques can influence students` learning activities and students` mastery of biotechnology concepts. Keywords: mind map, activity, concept, biotechnology.

Abstract

This research purpose was to know the influence ofSTAD cooperative learningmodel towards students activities and learning outcomes. The research used non equivalent pretest posttest design. The sampleswere students of VIIb dan VIId class that were selected by purposive sampling technique. Qualitative data were obtained from learning activities observation sheets and students questionnaire responses that were analyzed descriptively. Quantitative data were obtained from the average value of test that were analyzed by using t- and U-test. The average of student learning activities percentage in all aspects in experiment class showed higher improvement than contro (experiment= 79,04; control = 73,96).The results showed that the average of learning outcomes in experiment class was higher than control class (experiment = 68; control = 44). Therefore, STAD cooperative learningmodel improved students activities and learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIb dan VIIdyang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji-U. Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa semua aspek kelas eksperimen juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 79,04; kontrol = 73,96). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada kelas eksperimen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa,(eksperimen = 68; kontrol = 44).Dengan demikian, penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, model STAD
