Abstract

The existence of newspapers as the main medium of public communication media in the midst of the development of information technology, became the interest of researchers to conduct qualitative descriptive research on the use of newspapers as a medium of public communication carried out by the Department of Communication and Information at the Bukittinggi Government. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. The use of newspapers is analyzed using the Media Richness Theory, and the implementation of public communication activities using the Organization Public Relations Models approach. The results of this study indicate that local newspapers have been used as the main media in the implementation of public communication by the Bukittinggi Government, through a mutually beneficial professional cooperation agreement between the two parties. Local newspapers that have collaborated are used as a medium for disseminating information and disseminating messages by Diskominfo to the public. As a medium that favors text as the main element of delivering information and the use of appropriate and easy words can increase readers, so newspapers are very suitable for disseminating routine government policies, programs and activities. Newspapers should be avoided for spreading conflict or tragedy information, because there will be a lot of emotional information that will be filtered out.

Abstract

The issue of prostitution is a hot topic of discussion, because its existence raises pros and cons in society. Covert prostitution in Padang City is still a problem for the Padang City Government. The Padang City Government is carrying out countermeasures as a form of enforcing the Regional Regulations. Government communication is defined as a form of conveying government ideas, programs and ideas to the public with the aim of mutual welfare. Researchers looked at how the Padang City Government's communication experience in tackling covert prostitution in Padang City This study used a qualitative method and a phenomenological approach proposed by Edmund Husserl. The Padang City Government, through several OPDs (Satpol PP, Social Service, DP3AP2KB), has made efforts to tackle covert prostitution. His efforts include making routine arrests and raids on lodging locations and massage parlors. Perpetrators involved in prostitution will be immediately sent to the Andam Dewi rehabilitation center. Apart from that, they also carried out socialization in the form of direct communication at the sub-district level in Padang City. Communication experience The Padang City Government has attempted to tackle covert prostitution. coping efforts that are outreach, routine raids, sending to rehabilitation institutions, and informal communication through psychologists.

Abstract

Program Satu Keluarga Satu Sarjana merupakan program pembangunan pemerintah Kota Pariaman dalam upaya mengentaskan kemiskinan melalui peningkatan sumber daya manusia masyarakat di wilayahnya. Agar program dapat diterima dan mendapatkan partisipasi oleh khalayak dibutuhkan sebuah strategi komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi komunikasi pemerintah Kota Pariaman dalam pelaksanaan program Satu Keluarga Satu Sarjana dengan menggunakan model perencanaan strategi komunikasi lingkaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi non-partisipasi dan wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan empat orang informan yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi dalam pelaksanaan program dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi langsung berupa dialog dan wawancara yang dilakukan petugas di lapangan, dan berkomunikasi menggunakan media luar ruang, website pemerintah, portal online serta media sosial. Sementara hambatan yang timbul di masyarakat berupa kesenjangan informasi dan tanggapan negatif terhadap program serta kurangnya sumber daya manusia dalam menciptakan komunikasi efektif.  The one-family one-degree program is a development program for the Pariaman city government to alleviate poverty by increasing the human resources of the people in the region. However, for the program to be accepted and get participation by the public, a communication strategy is needed. This study aims to describe the communication strategy of the Pariaman city government in the implementation of the one-family one-degree program using the circular communication model. This study used a qualitative method. Data were collected through non-participant observation and in-depth interviews with four informants selected by the purposive sampling method. The results showed that the implementation of the program was carried out in direct socialization in the form of dialogues and interviews conducted by officers in the field and communicating using outdoor media, government websites, online portals, and social media. Meanwhile, the obstacles that arise in the community were in the form of information gaps and negative responses to the program, and a lack of organizational human resources in creating effective communication.

Abstract

Society needs tax information that they could access in a faster and easier way without being restricted by space and time. Therefore, in the way to fulfill those society’s needs, KPP Pratama Padang Satu takes advantage of using the Instagram platform for publication media and communication media. This research intends to knowledge how the Instagram account of @pajakpadangsatu is being managed. The research method is qualitative with the ways of data collection utilized by interview, observation, and documentation study. This research applies the theory of social media management by Regina Luttrell which calls as The Circular Models of Some. This research then results in 6 (six) categories of content, those are activity content, taxation knowledge content, speech content, announcement content, performance achievement content, and entertainment content. The contents that are going to be shared with the public are packed in the best way dan followed the latest trend. The contents that are being uploaded usually involve a certain figure or public figure that already has performed tax obligations. This research found that several activities have not been done particularly at the optimization stage and the stage of managing media monitoring.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketergantungan anak autis pada komunikasi primitif (penggunaan bahasa isyarat) yang membuat anak autis seringkali dipandang rendah. Sehingganya instansi pendidikan luar biasa dituntut juga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi ekspresif mereka, salah satunya dengan metode Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Hal tersebut lah yang menjadikan penelitian ini penting untuk melihat implementasi dan efektivitas metode ABA dalam meningkatkan komunikasi ekspresif anak autis. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode ABA yang diterapkan pada terapi kepada anak dengan gangguan autisme di SLB Autiscare SNEC Batusangkar dapat dilaksanakan dengan penuh perencanaan. Selain menggunakan teknik Discrete Trial Training (DTT), teknik prompt juga digunakan untuk menguatkan stimulus pada anak. Adapun teknik yang ditemukan pada terapi ini adalah teknik instruksi stimulus, prompt, dan reinforcement. Efektivitas metode ABA dapat terbukti efektif terutama ketika dilakukan sesuai dengan perencanaan yang matang. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa durasi terapi yang ditetapkan oleh sekolah tidak cukup untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi ekspresif anak. Secara sederhana dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode ABA terbukti efektif ketika dilakukan dengan persiapan yang matang dan durasi yang cukup pula.

Abstract

Tourism villages are one of the government's ways to overcome poverty in remote areas in Indonesia. Tourism villages are also able to develop the potential that exists in the area. The Kubu Gadang Tourism Village tourism awareness group also participated in the tourism village concept. The tourism awareness group feels compelled to develop Kubu Gadang Village. This study aims to determine the communication management of tourism awareness groups in developing the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village in Padang Panjang City. The theory used in this study is Michael Kaye's communication management theory, and the method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques using indepth interviews and direct observation. The results showed that the management of interpersonal communication at the Pokdarwis of the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village was well implemented, as seen from the form of support given to the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village.

Abstract

Konvergensi media merupakan fenomena yang signifikan dalam era digital, di mana berbagai platform media konvensional dan digital bergabung untuk memberikan konten secara lintas platform. Penelitian ini akan fokus pada pengalaman jurnalis media online Tribun Padang dalam memahami dan mengadaptasi konvergensi media dalam pekerjaan mereka. Metodologi penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomenologi pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi sebagai teknik utama pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan yang lebih baik tentang sejauh mana jurnalis media online memahami dan menerapkan konvergensi media dalam pekerjaan mereka. Temuan penelitian ini dapat memberikan informasi yang berharga bagi praktisi media, lembaga pendidikan, dan pengambil kebijakan dalam mengembangkan strategi yang lebih efektif untuk menghadapi tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi dalam era konvergensi media. Penelitian ini juga akan membahas implikasi dari pemahaman jurnalis media online tentang konvergensi media terhadap kualitas dan keragaman konten media. Dengan memahami konvergensi media dengan lebih baik, jurnalis dapat menggabungkan pendekatan konvensional dan digital dalam melaporkan berita dan menciptakan konten yang lebih inovatif, informatif, dan berdampak.

Abstract

Infosumbar is a new media originating from West Sumatra which was founded in 2010 starting from a Twitter account named @infoSumbar. Infosumbar then developed into an independent youth media and positioned itself as one of the media that won the trust of the citizens of West Sumatra. Infosumbar utilizes the latest social media platforms that are widely used by young people in conveying various information. This study aims to find out how the citizen journalism-based social media business model at Infosumbar uses a canvas business model which includes nine blocks consisting of value proposition, consumer segments, channels, customer relations, partnerships, key activities, key resources, cost structure and flows. income. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study illustrate that Infosumbar has a value proposition, namely as an independent Citizen Journalism-based media, which is offered to clients is advertising services for a product or service to be known by followers of Infosumbar as a whole. Because the current era is still in the digitalization stage, it is not surprising that conventional things have turned to digital. Infosumbar provides an offer so that local brands or advertised brands can receive information to the public. At Infosumbar, in managing customer relations, it uses a door to door model, namely from door to door with a system of picking up customers, not just waiting. The main resources at Infosumbar are people, offices, communication tools, human skills, and creativity. By adding a team, Infosumbar's current revenue stream comes from incoming advertisements. Until now, Infosumbar's key activity is known as citizen journalism-based social media.

Abstract

The background of this research was writer observation at Dinas Komunikasi dan Informasi (Diskominfo) in Padang. The result of observation  showed that: still low Cyber PR controlling at there. The aim of this research was  to know the experience of Communication Activities of Cyber PR Employees of Padang City Government carried out by Diskominfo in delivering information to the public. The informans of this research were 6 servants at Diskominfo Padang. The instrument of this research was interview and observation. The results of this research showed that four main stages or steps that become the basis of reference for the implementation of Cyber PR activities for Padang City Communication and Informatics employees as Public Relations, 1.Fact and problem finding stage, where the facts obtained in the field are based on current events, but there are constraints on the shortage of human resources and budget funds. 2.Planning stage, carried out by presenting information with frequent intensity. 3.The communication stage is carried out between the manager of each media and the head of the Cyber PR manager. 4.Evaluation stage, is carried out by paying attention to the insight of each media to measure the public's response.

Abstract

One of the basic human needs that is guaranteed by the government of a country is health insurance. In Indonesia, the state business entity designated to provide health services for all Indonesians is the Health Social Security Administration (BPJS) which has spread throughout the regions. In providing services to participants, a communication strategy is needed that is in accordance with the needs of the participants. This study will provide a description of the communication strategies used by BPJS Kesehatan Padang Branch in providing public services to JKN-KIS participants. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection using interview methods and documentation sources. The results of this study show that the services provided are in accordance with Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services which is then developed through trainings provided to service officers (frontliners) who directly face JKN-KIS participants so that the expected services are in accordance with participant needs. The public services provided are also supported by appropriate facilities and infrastructure, both verbal and non-verbal communication facilities.
