Abstract

This training aims to increase the knowledge and skills of yasinan women in Kiram Village to make health drinks made from medicinal plants. Activities are carried out using lecture, demonstration and direct practice methods which are designed to provide interactive and applied learning so that participants can understand in depth the process of making health drinks and apply it independently. The evaluation results show an increase in understanding of knowledge and technology by 16.78%, meaning the successful transfer of knowledge and skills by the implementing team. In this training, there are three types of health drinks that are most popular, namely healthy turmeric and sour, healthy kencur rice, and healthy turmeric and sour plus ginger because they are easy to make, have a popular taste, and have high health benefits.  Apart from improving skills, this activity is also expected to open up economic opportunities for yasinan mothers through the production and sale of natural-based health drinks. This training supports the development of community-based small businesses that can increase family income by utilizing local medicinal plants. This training contributes to efforts to create independent villages in the health sector and improve the quality of life of the community as a whole. It is hoped that the continuation of this program will have a wider positive impact, both from the social, economic and health aspects of the Kiram Village community. This program can also be a model for community empowerment that can be replicated in other villages.

Abstract

The Problems among the people never stop at one time. Eventhough these problems have been raised by the scholars of the Salaf. Just like a few years ago there was a lot of talk about the difference in the heritage provisions of 2/1 for boys and girls which was considered unfair by feminists. Starting from this problem, the author took the initiative to thoroughly discuss how according to the Qur'an, and whether the 2/1 distribution can be said to be fair. The focus and purpose of this research is to find out the Qur'anic perspective on gender equality in heritage distribution, and to find out the forms of justice for gender equality in inheritance distribution. The type of research used in this study is included in content analysis with a library research approach. The result of this study indicate that: The distribution of inheritance determined by the Qur'an in surah al-Nisa' Verse 11 (Li al-dzakari mitslu hadd al-untsayain) for sons and daughters includes a distribution that is not equal because the distribution the heritage listed in Nisa surah Verse 11 (Li al-dzakari mitslu hadd al-untsayain) sons get a 2/1 share or in other words boys get twice the share of girls. The fair distribution of 2/1 is due to several things, including the burden on sons is greater and sons are obliged to provide their wealth to their family

Abstract

Background: Young men who have sex with men in Indonesia face a high vulnerability to sexually transmitted infections. However, evidence on the role of body modification and drug use remains limited. This study examined behavioral correlates of self-reported sexually transmitted infection symptoms. Methods: Data were obtained from the 2018–2019 Integrated Biological and Behavioral Survey, a cross-sectional respondent-driven sampling study involving 1,988 men aged 18–24 years across multiple Indonesian cities. Weighted logistic regression was used to estimate adjusted odds ratios for sexually transmitted infection symptoms in relation to tattooing, piercing, drug use, condom use, HIV prevention knowledge, and sociodemographic factors. Results: The prevalence of self-reported sexually transmitted infection symptoms was 22.8%. Tattooing, piercing, and drug use were not independently associated with these symptoms after adjustment. In contrast, low human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV) prevention knowledge (Adjusted OR = 8.53; 95% CI: 2.38–30.4) and inconsistent condom use (never: Adjusted OR = 32.3; 95% CI: 1.34–775.5; occasional: Adjusted OR = 3.57; 95% CI: 1.12–11.4) showed strong associations. Conclusion: The primary drivers of sexually transmitted infection symptoms among young men who have sex with men were gaps in HIV prevention knowledge and inconsistent condom use, rather than tattooing, piercing, or drug use. Interventions should prioritize sexual health education, condom promotion, and regulatory oversight for body modification practices.

Abstract

The transition period in dairy cows is a critical phase characterized by increased energy requirements with the onset of lactation, while feed intake is often insufficient to meet these demands, leading to negative energy balance (NEB) that adversely affects metabolic health and reproductive performance. Therefore, this literature review aims to evaluate the role of unsaturated fatty acid (UFA) supplementation, particularly polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), in mitigating NEB and improving the physiological performance of dairy cows based on recent scientific findings published between 2016 and 2025. The results indicate that UFA supplementation, especially rumen-protected sources, contributes to improved energy balance, enhanced insulin sensitivity, improved oocyte and embryo quality, increased plasma progesterone concentrations, reduced systemic inflammation, and improved blood lipid profiles. In addition, UFA supplementation helps maintain milk yield while enhancing milk quality through increased levels of unsaturated fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). With appropriate formulation, dosage, and timing of supplementation, UFA represents an effective and sustainable nutritional strategy to improve metabolic health, energy efficiency, and reproductive performance in dairy cows
