Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskrisikan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis calon guru matematika ditinjau dari gaya kognitif. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 4 subjek untuk masing-masing kategori Field Dependent Lemah (FDL), Field Dependent Kuat (FDK), Field Independent Lemah (FIL) dan Field Independent Kuat (FIK). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT), tes kemampuan generalisasi matematis dan wawancara. Analisis tes kemampuan berpikir kritis mengacu pada indikator Facione yaitu Interpretation, Analysis, Evaluation, Inference, Explanation, Self-Regulation. Hasil Penelitian menyatakan (1) subjek FDL belum memiliki semua kecakapan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yaitu Interpretation sudah mampu akan tetapi untuk Analysis, Evaluation Inference, Explanation, Self-Regulation belum mampu; (2) subjek FDK belum memiliki semua kecakapan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yaitu Interpretation, Analysis, Evaluation sudah mampu akan tetapi untuk Inference, Explanation, Self-Regulation belum mampu; (3) subjek FIL sudah memiliki semua kecakapan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yaitu Interpretation, Analysis, Evaluation, Inference, Explanation, Self-Regulation akan tetapi belum begitu sempurna; (4) subjek FIK sudah memiliki semua kecakapan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yaitu Interpretation, Analysis, Evaluation, Inference, Explanation, Self-Regulation begitu sempurna. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa FD dapat diperbaiki dengan pelatihan yang melibatkan diskusi reflektif dan pemecahan masalah dapat mengurangi dampak field dependence, penggunaan alat teknologi, seperti platform pembelajaran online yang mendukung interaksi aktif, dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta field dependent dan mendukung pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi statistika di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. Banyak siswa yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) karena siswa masih kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dasar, terutama menentukan nilai rata-rata. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, guru dapat menerapkan pendekatan yang lebih interaktif seperti model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan menggunakan media kartu soal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimen dengan posttest-only control design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII-F sebanyak 33 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan model PBL berbantuan media kartu soal dan kelas VIII-E sebanyak 32 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil posttest siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar matematika pada materi statistika, di peroleh bahwa rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 85,15, sementara rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 60,16. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen melampaui standar KKM yang ditetapkan yakni 75. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) adalah sebesar 0,000. Karena nilai signifikansi yang didapat lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi yang ditentukan (0,000 < 0,05), artinya ada perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas yang diajar menggunakan model PBL berbantuan media kartu soal dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada penelitian ini penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantu media kartu soal dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa agar mencapai KKM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa guru di MTs Nurul Iman masih menggunakan ceramah sebagai satu-satunya metode pembelajaran. Pembelajaran tersebut dapat mengakibatkan siswa kurang antusias ketika pembelajaran, banyak siswa yang kurang memahami materi serta banyak siswa yang diam dan malu bertanya. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan hasil belajar siswa rendah. Dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick diharapkan dapat membuat siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick pada materi lingkaran yang ditinjau dari aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa dan respon siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan One-Shot Case Study. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 14 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes dan angket dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar tes hasil belajar dan lembar angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Aktivitas belajar siswa tergolong aktif dengan hasil persentase 64,3%. (2) Hasil belajar siswa tidak tuntas dengan hasil persentase 42,9%. (3) Respon siswa yaitu positif dengan hasil persentase secara klasikal yaitu 77,8%. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran, kooperatif, talking stick, lingkaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pembelajaran di MTs Darul Ulum Sumber Pengantin Jogoroto yang masih berpusat pada guru seperti ceramah, dan tanya jawab. Pembelajaran tersebut menyebabkan peserta didik mudah bosan sehingga tidak tertarik untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan sungguh-sungguh. Hal ini juga menjadikan peserta didik kurang antusias dalam pembelajaran sehingga hasil belajar peserta didik masih belum mencapai standar yang ditentukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran cooperative script pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung yang ditinjau dari respon dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Pre-Experimental dengan desain One-Shot Case Study sedangkan metode penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative script menghasilkan data: (1) Hasil belajar peserta didik yang tuntas ada 9 peserta didik, sedangkan yang tidak tuntas 13 peserta didik, maka persentase secara klasikal nilainya 40.9%. (2) Respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran cooperative script adalah positif yang ditunjukkan bahwa terdapat 6 pernyataan yang memperoleh tanggapan positif, dan persentase respon positif tersebut adalah 60%. Dari uraian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative script pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung tidak efektif. Kata Kunci: Keefektifan, Cooperative Script, Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the monotonous learning at SMP Unggulan Al Madinah Diwek Jombang which causes student tend to be less interested in the learning process. It implies that the learning process cannot be effective. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of “Putaran Peluang” learning media reviewed from the students responses and learning outcomes. The type of research method is Pre Experimental research with One-Shot Case Study design, while the research method uses descriptive analysis with quantitative approach. The population is all students of class VIII at SMP Unggulan Al Madinah Diwek Jombang and the sample is 21 students of class VIII B. Data are collected by test using posttest sheet and questionnaire using students respons qustionnair sheet. The results of this study were: (1) Percentage of classical student learning outcomes was 76.1% and (2) Percentage of students positive responses for the use of “Putaran Peluang” learning media was 86.1%. It can be concluded that the use of “Putaran Peluang” learning media is effective reviewed from students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

One of the goals of using learning media is to improve the quality of student learning and make the learning process more interesting. Domino card learning media is one of the game innovations that can be used in the classroom. This study aims to describe the level of feasibility of domino card learning media on the material of Linear Equations and Inequality One Variables by adapting the ADDIE development model. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. Questionnaires are divided into two types, namely validation questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The validation stage of learning media products is carried out by material experts, media experts, and learning practitioners. While the student response questionnaire with small group test subjects by three students and field trials by all students of class VII B. The validation results from material experts obtained an average score of 3.17 with a percentage of 63.3% and the criteria "Good" . Learning media experts obtained an average score of 4.45 with a percentage of 89.1% and the criteria "Very Good". Learning practitioners obtained an average score of 4.17 with a percentage of 83.3% and the criteria "Very Good". The response of students in the small group trial which obtained a score of 4.83 with a percentage of 96% and the criteria "Very Good". The response of students in the field trial which obtained a value of 4.45 with a percentage of 89.2% and the criteria "Very Good". So, it can be concluded that the domino card learning media on the One Variable Linear Equation and Inequality material is said to be very well used as a learning medium in the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

This research referred to manipulative learning media which can be used to visualize abstract material. This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of learning mathematics regarding rectangular area using manipulative learning media. This research was quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study was 120 students of grade VII MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Seblak Jombang while the sample was 21 students of grade VII D. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique with the consideration that grade VII D had the lowest average score in mathematics compared to other classes. Data were collected using test instrument to obtain student achievement data. The data were then analyzed descriptively and compared with the specified effectiveness criteria, that learning is said to be effective if the percentage of classical completeness exceeded 75%. The result of the research shows that the percentage of classical completeness is 85.7%, so it can be concluded that mathematics learning about the area of quadrilaterals is effective with manipulative learning media.

Abstract

The knowledge possessed by teachers is closely related to the achievements achieved by students. Therefore, how rich the knowledge possessed by a teacher is important to know. This study aimed to describe the level of mathematical content knowledge preservice teacher students in solving group definition problems. The subjects were two different gender students with equivalent academic ability. The data were collected with the researchers as the main instrument and the test as the supporter one. The test was arranged to reveal how the subjects stated the definition, used mathematical notation and saw the connection between the different topics. The data was analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing the conclusion. The result of this study shows that: (1) the female subject was able to express the definitions correctly, use appropriate notation sensibly, and see connections between different topics and move among them smoothly so it can be concluded that the female subject is on level 2 and (2) the male one was able to express the definitions correctly but unable to use appropriate notation sensibly, see connection between different topics but unable to move among them smoothly so it can be concluded that the male subject is on level 1.

Abstract

Based on the learning objectives according to Permendikbud Number 21 of 2016 and the ability to learn 21st century mathematics critical thinking is one of the focuses of learning at the junior high school level. However, in reality, students' critical thinking skills are still low. This study aims to describe critical thinking skills using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model. This research design uses a posttest only control design. This type of research uses experimental research. Data collection techniques use test methods using posttest sheets. The results of the study concluded that the average posttest value of the critical thinking skills of the experimental class of 78.04 taught using the PBL model is classified as high. While the results of the hypothesis test show that there is an influence of the PBL model on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The application of mathematics is often found in everyday life. So in learning mathematics, there needs to be an approach that links concepts with the real world, one of which is the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. The RME approach can be used as an effort to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The results of mathematics education are still low because learning is only centered on teachers. The purpose of this study was to produce students' Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) on the material of spatial figures, especially the surface area of ​​cones. The method used in this study was design research, but it was only limited to the preliminary design and teaching experiment stages. The subjects of the study involved grade IX students. Data were collected through tests, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used triangulation. The results showed that the HLT of the cone material included identifying “pasung” cakes, finding the elements of cones, and determining the formula for the surface area of ​​cones.
