Abstract

Abstract

Entrepreneurial interest in vocational high school students is an important factor in preparing independent graduates who are ready to face the competitive world of work. However, various studies have shown that psychological aspects such as emotional intelligence, positive emotions, negative emotions, and self-efficacy are still less comprehensively explored. This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence, positive emotions, and negative emotions on entrepreneurial interest with self-efficacy as a mediating variable in grade XII students of SMK Negeri 1 Giritontro. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey technique on 187 respondents, while data analysis was carried out through Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4. The results showed that emotional intelligence and positive emotions had a significant positive effect on self-efficacy, while negative emotions had a significant negative effect. Self-efficacy was also shown to have a positive effect on entrepreneurial interest and mediated the relationship between the three predictor variables. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening emotional regulation and self-efficacy in entrepreneurship learning in vocational high schools

Abstract

Background: Amid global digital disruption and ecological crises, economic education faces significant challenges regarding the relevance of graduates to the labor market. Objective: This study aims to construct a transformative model of economic education that is adaptive to technology-based market signals to enhance external efficiency within the green industry sector. Methods: Employing a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, this research integrates Research and Development (R&D) procedures to design a dynamic curriculum framework. Data were collected through big data analytics from digital labor platforms and validated by a panel of experts and circular industry practitioners. Results: The findings reveal a significant information asymmetry between conventional curricula and the actual green competency requirements in the field. The primary results confirm that the “Adaptive-Green Economic Education” (A-GEE) transformation model, integrated with real-time market-monitoring technology, significantly improves external efficiency. Statistical tests demonstrate a positive correlation between the precision of technological signal capture and the reduction of graduate competency mismatches. These findings indicate that economic education can no longer exist as a static theoretical discipline but must instead function as an adaptive ecosystem responsive to ecological shifts. Conclusion: This study provides theoretical implications for the expansion of Signaling Theory within the context of the circular economy and offers practical recommendations for higher education institutions to reform their curricular structures so they become more agile and data-driven. This transformation is essential for producing competitive human capital in the era of the global green economy transition.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between the implementation of pop-up book media in cultural diversity materials and the meaningful learning process experienced by students. This article employs a literature study approach by reviewing several previous studies summarized in a citation table to identify patterns of findings and the contribution of pop-up book media to the learning process. Data were collected from various scientific journal sources and then analyzed using a descriptive qualitative method to obtain a comprehensive understanding. The findings indicate that pop-up book media, which is visual, concrete, and collaborative in nature, can encourage student engagement, facilitate conceptual understanding, and connect new information with prior knowledge. This condition is in line with the theory of meaningful learning, which emphasizes the importance of integrating new information into students’ cognitive structures and active involvement during the learning process. The use of pop-up book media in cultural diversity materials has been proven to support the creation of more meaningful learning, enhance students’ understanding, and foster an attitude of appreciating cultural diversity in daily life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) and digital literacy affect Generation Z's work readiness for the Diploma Programme. The study involved 169 students from the Diploma Programme of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Jenderal Soedirman University, and 90 students were randomly selected as the sample because the population was homogeneous, meaning that all students had participated in MBKM internships. The data analysis used the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) method as an alternative. The quality of the structural model was evaluated by testing the measurement index, namely R2. The test results revealed: 1) MBKM internships had a significant impact on the work readiness of generation Z, with a t-test value of 8.323 > t critical value of 1.987; 2) digital literacy did not have a significant impact on work readiness, with a t-test value of 0.744 < t critical value of 1.987; and 3) there was a simultaneous influence of MBKM internships and digital literacy on work readiness, with a Sig value of 0.000<0.05 and R2 of 0.844 indicating that MBKM internships and digital literacy jointly explained 84.4% of the variance in work readiness. Recommendations for policymakers regarding diploma programs include integrating digital literacy as a fundamental component of the curriculum across all disciplines, enhancing access to internship opportunities via industry collaborations, employing virtual internships and remote work simulations, and upgrading infrastructure while ensuring access to technology.
