Abstract

Language is an interaction tool used by humans to be able to interact with each other. Without language, communication can not take place as it should. Misconceptions among members of a particular group of people are caused by the inability to interpret the speaker's intent and purpose in discussing a topic of conversation. The language is unique, meaning that each language develops its own rules that ultimately distinguish one language from another, as well as Betawi and Indonesian. This study aims to find out the comparison of consonant and diphthong groups in Betawi and Indonesian. This research was conducted in Jakarta and the research time started from September to December 2016. The focus of this research is on comparison of consonant and diphthong groups in Betawi and Indonesian. The object of this research is Betawi language vocabulary and Indonesian language. Research with this qualitative approach using content analysis method (content analysis). In this study, which will be the subject of research is Betawi language vocabulary derived from three sources, namely Betawi Glossary book written by Ridwan Saidi published by Betawi Ngeriung in Jakarta in 2007, book of Daily Dictionary of Betawi Language written by Sukanta published by Grasindo in Jakarta In 2010 and the Indonesian language vocabulary sourced from KBBI.

Abstract

The achievement of the learning process results can be measured by the teacher by using the test as one of the benchmarks. The test is given by the teacher to students as one of the evaluation tools, in accordance with basic competencies and also indicators of achievement of learning outcomes. Thus, the teacher must really ensure that the questions or tests being tested are of high quality and can map the actual abilities of students. The purpose of this paper is to identify and describe the quality of school exam questions in Indonesian subjects in terms of material, construction, and language aspects. The data used is in the form of a package of test questions (try out) for the elementary school level exams in 2020. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the quality of the 2019/2020 elementary school test test questions in Indonesian subjects in terms of material, construction, and language aspects still needs to be improved, especially in the language and material aspects. The language aspect in question includes spelling, punctuation, and letter writing. The language aspect in question includes spelling, punctuation, and letter writing. Then on the material aspect in terms of the suitability of each item with the indicator.Keywords: Kualitas Soal, Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The present study attempts to analyze the word-formation of nonce words usually used by the youth and the function of its usage in online newspapers in Indonesia. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Research objects were nonce words in the form of basic words and phrases in various texts in online newspapers between March to September 2020 as many as 15 samples. The result of the study shows that the usage of nonce words in online newspapers in Indonesia can still be said to be marginal and nonce words appear mostly in headlines and less in body text because the language of the newspaper has its characteristics and is tied to the rules of the language of the mass media. The function of nonce words in online newspapers corresponds to the criteria of Heyne and Vollmer (2016) which are textual, stylistic, and reference. Nonce words in the form, and meaning, or both with novel values, are created from different needs and are used in various areas of communication. The formation of nonce words reflects the social conditions that are determined by developments in a country.Keywords: Nonce words; language of newspapers; word-formation; Indonesian

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at analyzing speech errors, also known as slips of the tongue madeby adult Indonesians as native speakers. Those errors were analyzed regarding types andbackground of the occurence with Meringer’s theory of slips of the tongue as the framework ofthe research. This research is mainly qualitative with a descriptive approach within thepsycholinguistics view. The results show that slips of the tongue occurred by adult Indonesian asnative speakers were: 1. Exchange, 2. Anticipation, 3. Postposition, 4. Contamination, and 5.Substitution. Researchs about slips of the tongue can provide input to the language process whichis very important for language teaching. Language teachers can interact better with students if theproblems as the sources of the students' errors are identified. Above all, by comprehending varioustypes of speech errors we can increase our understanding of the acquisition, production, andperception of our language thoroughly.Key Words: speech error; slips of the tongue; psycholinguistics

Abstract

The aim the research is to find out and analize satire of the stand up comedy “Mesakke Bangsaku” by Pandji Pragiwaksono. The writer use qualitative descriptive research in observing with content analysis technique. Resources of the research is video tape of stand up comedy “Mesakke Bangsaku” Pandji Pragiwaksono brings transcript into the writing process. Script product of transcription then, identify with use of satire’s theory. Based on analysis result, it find out satire with the highest percentage in the cynicism category which was as many as 39 of data or 38,23%. Another finding is, sarcasm category as many as 37 data (36,27%), ironic 4 data (3,92%), and antiphrase 1 data (0,98%).

Abstract

Abstract: The articulation organs are announced as mature physiological functions and communication of the articulated organs is approved according to the child's age development. If these organs work well then speaking exercises are also good. However, approval of the function of these organs is not maximal, it will also be agreed on the skills of a child in his speech. The focus of this research is about learning to talk to children aged 4 s.d. 6 years directed at the child's skills in reciting consonant sounds by referring to the development table of the sound production classification of A. Smith and his friends. This study involved 32 kindergarten students with a range of ages between 4 - 6 years. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data is collected with instruments and direct information obtained from the teacher and parents. Based on the results of the study, out of 32 students, 26 students were declared organs of articulation while 6 other students were constrained in the function of organulation so that it could increase their fluency in consonant pronunciation in conversation.Key Words: articulation organ maturity, speaking skills

Abstract

Teks prosedur merupakan teks paparan yang bertujuan memberikan penjelasan tentang cara melakukan sesuatu. Teks ini sangat diperlukan oleh seseorang yang hendak melakukan suatu kegiatan dan belum jelas langkah-langkahnya. Dengan membaca teks prosedur, orang-orang dapat menggunakan alat atau melakukan langkah-langkah suatu kegiatan dengan cara yang benar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan struktur teks prosedur pada kemasan produk makanan dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian  yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data berupa teks prosedur yang dianalisis adalah teks petunjuk yang terdapat dalam kemasan produk makanan cepat saji. Jumlah teks yang dijadikan data adalah 20 teks. Diperoleh dalam rentang waktu November 2022 sampai dengan Januari 2023. Setiap teks prosedur dianalisis dengan memperhatikan strukur pembentuk teks prosedur dan aspek kebahasaan yang terdapat dalam teks prosedur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari aspek struktur teks prosedur, struktur ke-20 teks tidak lengkap. Pada teks hanya tertulis langkah-langkah berupa kalimat perintah yang disusun secara sistematik dan tidak tertulis pengantar pernyataan atau tujuan dan daftar bahan atau peralatan. Terdapat 16 teks prosedur yang disertai gambar pada setiap tahapnya sehingga dapat membantu pemahaman pembaca atau konsumen. Kemudian dari aspek tinjauan kebahasaan, ditemukan ciri-ciri kebahasaan teks prosedur yaitu berupa penggunaan kalimat perintah, kata perintah, kata penghubung yang menyatakan urutan waktu, kata-kata penunjuk waktu, kata-kata yang menyatakan urutan langkah kegiatan, dan kata-kata teknis yang sesuai dengan temanya. Selanjutnya temuan dalam kajian ini adalah fakta bahwa sebagian besar teks prosedur yang terdapat pada kemasan makanan masih kurang memperhatikan kaidah penulisan bahasa Indonesia, seperti penggunaan tanda baca, penulisan huruf, dan penulisan istilah asing. Kata Kunci: teks prosedur; kemasan produk makanan; pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia
