STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI KIAI PESANTREN DARUL FALAH DALAM PERUBAHAN BUDAYA MERARIQ NYONGKOLAN Arifin, Muhamad; Muadin, Akhmad; Salabi, Agus Salim

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explain the strategy applied by the Kyai to transform the traditional marriage ceremony of Merariq/Nyongkolan among the sasak people of Lombok into becoming more shari’a friendly tradition. The kiai's communication strategy in changing the tradition of merariq nyongkolan in Sasak Lombok tribal community are: First, kiai as the leader of Pesantren Darul Falah Mataram communicates with the community of Sasak Lombok by using preaching method, bilḥikmah (wise). Second, kiai foster the harmonious relations with internal public and also external public. The kiai utilizes the graduates of Darul Falah to convey the kiai's messages and missions to the community through the majlīs ta’līm or pesantren, Madrasah Diniyah, muṣallā, and the mosques which is led by them. Third, the kiai uses non-verbal communication through a social approach to the community by attending to the celebration's routine such as 'aqīqah, diba’an, marriage celebration, maulīd an-nabiy, death, and other religious events its held in private homes or in mosques and muṣallā. Fourth, the kiai uses communication by using forms of threats to the community, especially the to the gradutes of Pesantren Darul Falah, who if they invite the kiai to the merariq nyongkolan event but still using kecimol music then the kyai will not be present in that event. But, when the community use Islamic music such as rebana, marawis, and with a series of activities those are not contrary to the shari'ah, the kiai will be happy to attend the invitation.Keywords: Communication strategy, cultural change, Merariq Nyongkolan

Abstract

Local culture is something that is bound and related to places, regions, and physical things such as geography. Like Javanese culture, of course it will develop in the Java area, Batak culture, Banjar culture as well as other cultures. Globalization can be defined as the process of making everything one earth or one world. Globalization can bring positive things such as: feeling ease, comfort, beauty, and progress. Besides that, it can also present negative things such as: causing suffering, anxiety, and misdirection. This research uses a case study approach, with a type of qualitative research.

Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum merupakan terjemahan kurikulum dokumen menjadi kurikulum sebagai aktivitas atau kenyataan. Implementasi kurikulum diwujudkan dalam bentuk pengalaman belajar dengan prinsip-prinsip yang menjadikannya lebih mudah dan lebih efektif untuk dikomunikasikan ke berbagai pihak seperti pimpinan sekolah, pendidik, pengawas sekolah, dan staf pendukung lainnya. Metode dan jenis penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka (library reseach) dengan mengumpulkan buku-buku, jurnal, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang mendukung tema penelitian, di antaranya literatur tentang Kurikulum: Prespektif dan praktik, implementasi kurikulum, dan Dasar-Dasar Pengembangan Kurikulum serta literatur lainnya yang terkait. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Implementasi kurikulum yang efektik memiliki prinsip: (a) perolehan kesempatan yang sama, (b) berpusat pada anak, (c) pendekatan dan kemitraan, (d) kesatuan dalam kebijakan dan keberagaman dalam pelaksanaan. 2) Tahapan-tahapan Implementasi Kurikulum, yaitu: (a) perencanaan, (b) pelaksanaan, dan (c) evaluasi. 3) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi implementasi kurikulum adalah: (a) perencanaan, (b) substansi (isi) kurikulum, (c) pendidik, (d) iklim dan budaya sekolah, (e) sarana dan prasarana, (f) peran kepala sekolah. 4) Model implementasi kurikulum, di antaranya: (a) Concern-Based Adoption Model (CBAM), b) The Innovation Profile Model, dan c) TORI Model (Trust, Opening, Reallization dan Independency)

Abstract

The educational agenda's long-term viability and suitability for institutional revitalization efforts are still being debated. To address the issue of educational institutions, a new conceptual framework model is required. The concept of organizational development via the concept of learning organization is already numerous and well-established. As a result, the study seeks to understand the governance model of long-term learner organizations that have been thoroughly examined in terms of organizational culture. The descriptive survey method was used for qualitative research. The study's findings revealed five essentials in the implementation of the learner school concept, namely the creation of an educational environment, the enhancement of institutional independence, the succession of learner leadership, and the caderization program as evidence of the institution's sustainability guarantee. Several school programs, including extracurricular activities, school literacy movements, habitation activities, and spontaneous behavior, reflect the cultural actualization of organizations. Managers' commitment to education is recommended by the study's findings in order to remain sustainable; community participation is optimized, with a focus on aspects of data inventory, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs, and optimization of community participation by being supported by Local Governments, including stakeholders. The practical implications of learner concepts create broader and more transformative cultural values that reflect the 21st century's complex challenges and the need for structural reform in sustainable organizations.

Abstract

Career development is the process of identifying the employee's career potential and material and applying the right ways to develop this potential. The teacher career development process at Pesantrren Darul Ihsan begins with the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of teacher performance. This study aims to analyze and find: 1) the concept of teacher career development at Pesantren Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak Deli Serdang, and 2) the types of teacher career development at Pesantren Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak Deli Serdang. The two focuses are studied with the theoretical approach of career management, human resource management, and human resource development as well as several other relevant theories. This study uses a qualitative research model with a case study approach. The data collection technique is by using semi-structured interviews and document studies. Furthermore, after the data has been collected, it is analyzed using several steps: data condensation, data display and conclusion, drawing and verification. The results of this study: 1) Teacher career development is carried out in the form of a personal and career advancement plan, as well as monitoring and evaluation which have implications for: (a) repositioning, (b) dismissal, c) resignation, d) retire. 2) Types of teacher career development that are: short courses, study assignments or study permit, and in house training (IHT). Meanwhile, pesantren support for the career development of teachers is conditional and unconditional.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the strategic role of boarding school culture in improving organizational effectiveness. It is hypothesized that boarding school cultures affect the organization's effectiveness. This writing uses a mixed-method research design consisting of extensive empirical surveys followed by semi-structured and focused group interviews and relevant document checks. The data reported are based on an empirical survey involving six boarding school leaderships in Southeast Aceh County followed by interviews and focused group discussions with all related stakeholders. The possibility of general application of the findings is limited by the organization's scope, sample, and cultural context of the study. The application of the oldest strategy in the organization's cultural elements are the value of independence, the value of development, and the value of regeneration. The findings suggest that when the boarding school culture is developed effectively, it will shape positive behaviors that collectively impact boarding school organizations' increased effectiveness. Effective boarders were able to create a fundamental order for Aceh society because it managed to keep existing cultural values. The personification is traditionally inherited through the teacher's relationship to his saints in the building of the system that is formed and can be seen from the values of existing boarding school culture.

Abstract

Optimization of female employees is the maximum empowerment of women which is a strategic way for the leadership of Pesantren Darularafah Raya to increase the role of women in the development of pesantren business units as an effort towards the independence of educational institutions. This type of research is qualitative to describe the factors that affect pesantren leaders in optimizing female employees and employee optimization strategies. Collecting data in this study using interview techniques, observation, and document study. Furthermore, the data collected was analyzed in stages: (1) data condensation, (2) data presentation, and (3) conclusion or verification. The findings found six factors that influence Pesantren leadership in optimizing female employees, namely: loyalty; ability to play multiple roles, relatively longer working period (endurance), feeling sufficient (qana'ah) with the welfare and comfort provided, a significant contribution in the Islamic boarding school business unit, active work and able to improve personal and group (family) welfare. Strategies for optimizing female employees in pesantren business units include: 1) opening opportunities and job opportunities, 2) conducting recruitment, 3) living in pesantren, 4) conducting training, 5) conducting mapping, 6) placement, and 7) Refreshment. AbstrakOptimalisasi karyawan perempuan adalah pemberdayaan perempuan secara maksimal yang merupakan cara strategis pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Darularafah Raya untuk meningkatkan peran perempuan dalam pengembangan unit usaha pesantren sebagai upaya menuju kemandirian lembaga pendidikan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pimpinan pesantren dalam mengoptimalkan karyawan perempuan dan strategi optimalisasi karyawan. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Selanjutnya data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan tahapan: (1) kondensasi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan enam faktor yang mempengaruhi kepemimpinan pesantren dalam mengoptimalkan karyawan perempuan, yaitu: loyalitas; kemampuan memainkan peran ganda, masa kerja yang relatif lebih lama (daya tahan), merasa cukup (qana'ah) dengan kesejahteraan dan kenyamanan yang diberikan, kontribusi yang signifikan dalam unit usaha pesantren, aktif bekerja dan mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan pribadi dan kelompok (keluarga). Strategi optimalisasi karyawan perempuan di unit usaha pesantren antara lain: 1) membuka peluang dan kesempatan kerja, 2) melakukan rekrutmen, 3) tinggal di pesantren, 4) melakukan pelatihan, 5) melakukan pemetaan, 6) penempatan, dan 7) Penyegaran.

Abstract

This study focuses on local wisdom-based educational management at Dayah Raudhatul Ma’arif Al-Aziziyah Cot Trueng, one of the traditional Islamic educational institutions in Aceh. The background of this research is based on the importance of preserving and integrating local values into the pesantren education system to shape the character and leadership of students. The research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the implementation of educational management at this dayah successfully integrates local values, namely "ureung meudagang," which emphasizes entrepreneurial values such as hard work, honesty, and innovation, into the daily lives of students, and "beut-seumeubeut," which underscores the importance of continuous teaching and learning processes, instilling values of patience, perseverance, and social responsibility such as cooperation, mutual aid, and independence. These values are internalized through various management strategies, including a clear organizational structure, an integrative curriculum, and the central role of teachers in providing examples. This management not only strengthens students' identities but also makes a significant contribution to the preservation of local culture and the development of entrepreneurial potential among students. The implications of the research suggest that developing education based on local values can enrich the curriculum, strengthen pesantren management, and create an educational model that is contextual and relevant to community needs.
