Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of different types of post-exercise drinks on rehydration in pencak silat athletes. Prolonged exercise in hot environments leads to physiological changes due to depleted glycogen stores and fluid-electrolyte loss through sweat. The aim of this study was to analyze the average difference between the effects of young coconut water (Cocos nucifera) and commercial isotonic drinks on the rehydration process. This experimental research involved dividing subjects into two treatment groups: Group 1 received young coconut water, while Group 2 received a commercially available isotonic drink. Dehydration status was assessed through measurements of body weight, urine pH, and urine specific gravity. Paired t-tests were used to analyze within-group differences before and after treatment, while unpaired t-tests compared differences between groups. The average fluid intake for rehydration was 1062.5 ml. Fluid administration had a significant effect on dehydration status (p < 0.05). A significant increase in urine pH was observed: 1.63 for coconut water and 0.97 for isotonic drinks. These results indicate a difference in the effectiveness of coconut water and isotonic drinks on hydration recovery.

Abstract

One type of orghanophosphate pesticide used by farmers is chlorpyrifos. Uncontrolled use of pesticides has an impact on environmental pollution, especially aquatic biota. The purpose of this study was to analyze the acute concentration of chlorpyrifos pesticide against goldfish (Cyprinus carpio). The research method was experimental with preliminary research, acute toxicity test (LC50), real test (sub lethal). The concentration of treatment in experimental animals includes the sublethal test K0 (control) 0 ppm, K1 0.25 ppm, K2 0.30 ppm, K3 0.35 ppm, K4 0.40 ppm, K5 0.45 ppm. The preliminary test results obtained an upper lethal threshold value of 0.5 ppm and a lower lethal threshold value of 0.25 ppm. Acute toxicity tests ranged from K1 0.25 ppm to K5 0.45 ppm. The results of the acute toxicity test (LC50) at K1 0.25 ppm and K2 0.30 ppm showed experimental goldfish exposed to chlorpyrifos experienced abnormal behavior, namely increased operculum movement (opening and closing) with an average of K1 = 72.405; K2 = 43.130 causes goldfish to die quickly, swim on the surface, tend to approach the aerator, and move quickly without direction. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between the amount of pesticide concentration given to the survival of goldfish. Keywords:Goldfish (Cyprinus carpio), Chlorpyrifos pesticide

Abstract

Background: Technological developments, especially in the field of radiology, is growing rapidly. The radiology quality assurance system has also developed, one of which is the Collimator Test Tools. The method of testing x-ray beams using this tool has also been developed, such as using film and using IP. However, the development of this method has a drawback, namely that the examiner is required to have special skills in image post-processing. The development of Collimator Test Tools by utilizing the nature of x-rays which causes certain substances such as calcium tungstate or zinc sulfide to glow light (luminance) has been done a lot, but there is no study of these products. Therefore, the researcher wants to develop a product by designing a Collimator test tool based on digital image analysis technology (Dev-X) and a digital camera with Android-based calculations on a wirelessly connected smartphone as an update of the testing method. Objective: To create a collimator test tool for x-ray machines based on digital image analysis technology (Dev-X). Methods: This is a research experiment with a posttest group only design type. Research Location at the Radiology Laboratory of the Radiodiagnostic and Radiotherapy Engineering Academy (ATRO) Bali. Result: Functional Test of Dev-X Products (hardware and software), all components function properly. However, it cannot be assessed significantly from statistical results. Conclusion: The creation and proper functioning of hardware and software tools collimator test tool Dev-Xon android smartphone and show the calculation results of the x-ray beam automatically.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of critical thinking skills in improving the quality of student learning outcomes, especially in an era of increasingly complex scientific and technological developments. Critical thinking skills are essential skills that influence the ability to understand information, solve problems, and make logical decisions. However, the actual conditions in Indonesia show that these skills are still relatively low, so it is necessary to examine the relationship between critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational research design, involving 108 tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 02 Batu in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through a critical reasoning skills test covering four indicators and a cognitive learning outcomes test based on Bloom's taxonomy (C1–C6). Data analysis used Pearson's correlation test and simple linear regression with the help of the SPSS 23 program. The results showed that students' critical reasoning skills were in the good category with an average score of 82.9, while cognitive learning outcomes were in the moderate category with an average score of 84.2. Pearson correlation test produced a value of r = 0.995 with a significance of < 0.001, indicating a very strong positive relationship between critical reasoning skills and cognitive learning outcomes. These findings confirm that improving critical reasoning skills contributes significantly to improving student learning outcomes. Therefore, the development of learning model that can stimulate critical thinking skills needs to be a concern in efforts to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Communication skills are one of the essential 21st-century competencies for students because they play an important role in conveying ideas, understanding learning materials, and building cooperation and exchanging ideas during the learning process. This ability is closely related to the achievement of optimal cognitive learning outcomes. This study is a quantitative study using a survey method conducted in September–October 2025 at SMAN 2 Batu. The study population was grade X students, with a sample of 107 students selected using purposive sampling. The communication skills instrument used a questionnaire containing 10 statements adapted from Greenstein (2012), while cognitive learning outcomes were measured using a multiple-choice test consisting of 10 questions based on Anderson and Krathwohl's (2001) revised Bloom's taxonomy, covering six dimensions: remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. Data analysis was performed using Pearson's correlation test and simple linear regression using SPSS 23. The results showed that students' communication skills were in the high category with an average score of 36.94, while cognitive learning outcomes were in the moderate category with an average of 6.29. The Pearson correlation test produced a value of r = 0.883 with a significance of < 0.001, indicating a positive and very strong relationship. A positive correlation coefficient value indicates that the higher the communication skills of students, the higher their cognitive learning outcomes. Thus, communication skills are an important ability that contributes to improving the cognitive learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between democratic parenting and Christian Religious Education (CRE) learning motivation in high school students, which is motivated by low learning motivation and suboptimal family support in fostering spiritual learning enthusiasm. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, this study examines various relevant literature to understand the relationship between parenting styles and learning motivation. The results show that democratic parenting styles that balance affection, discipline, and open communication play an important role in building students' intrinsic and spiritual motivation. In the context of CRE, this parenting style creates a learning environment conducive to the growth of faith, responsibility, and Christian character. This study contributes theoretically to Christian education studies and offers practical guidance for parents and CRE teachers in shaping a generation that is steadfast in faith and highly motivated.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan besar terkait pemberian ASI eksklusif. Proporsi ASI eksklusif hanya mencapai 37,3%. Para ibu belum menganggap kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif sebagai masalah kesehatan. Perlu adanya upaya untuk mengubah pengetahuan dan perilaku ibu.Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pendidikan komprehensif prenatal (Edukersa) terhadap kesiapan pengetahuan, kemampuan ibu dan kesiapan dukungan keluarga terhadap ASI eksklusif.Metode: Penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan intervensi Edukersa Preceded-Proceed Model, untuk melihat kesiapan pengetahuan ibu, kesiapan kemampuan ibu dan kesiapan dukungan keluarga. Populasi seluruh Ibu Hamil Trimester III. Sampel adalah jumlah populasi yang memenuhi kriteria sebanyak 80 ibu hamil. Pengumpulan data sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dilakukan dengan wawancara. Analisis data secara deskriptif dan uji t data berpasangan.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi awal, aspek pengetahuan mempunyai skor rata-rata yang rendah (1,88). Keinginan ibu terhadap ASI eksklusif sangat tinggi (2,99). Kesiapan keterampilan masih rendah (1,56) dan kesiapan dukungan keluarga cukup baik (2,39). Seluruh aspek kesiapan pada akhir kegiatan pendidikan hampir mencapai skor maksimal (3,00). Model Edukersa terbukti secara signifikan (95%CI) mampu meningkatkan kesiapan pengetahuan ibu (p=0.000), kesiapan keterampilan ibu (p=0.000) dan kesiapan dukungan keluarga/suami/orang terdekat (p=0.023) ibu dalam mewujudkan ASI eksklusif.Kesimpulan: Metode edukersa merupakan bagian dari solusi penyiapan ibu hamil sebagai langkah menuju ibu ASI eksklusif yang sukses di Kota Cirebon. KATA KUNCI : ASI-Eksklusif; ibu hamil; model-edukersa; pra persalinan; precede-proceed models  ABSTRACTBackground: Indonesia is still facing big challenges related to exclusive breastfeeding (EBF). The proportion of  EBF only reached 37.3%. Mothers have not considered a failure of exclusive breastfeeding as a health problem. Efforts are needed to change the knowledge and behavior of mothers. Objectives: the research was to determine the effect of the prenatal comprehensive education model (Edukersa) on knowledge readiness, mother's ability and family support readiness for EBF. Methode: Quasi-experimental research with the Edukersa Model intervention Preceded-Proceed Models, to see the readiness of mother's knowledge, readiness of mother's ability and readiness of family support. The population of all Trimester III Pregnant Women. The sample is the total population that meets the criteria of 80 pregnant women. Data collection before and after the intervention was carried out by interview. Data analysis was descriptive and paired data t-test. Results: The results showed that in the initial conditions, the knowledge aspect had a low mean score (1.88). The desire of mothers for EBF is very high (2.99). Skill readiness is still low (1.56) and family support readiness is quite good (2.39). All aspects of readiness at the end of educational activities almost reached a maximum score (3.00). The Edukersa model is significantly (95%CI) proven to be able to increase mothers' knowledge readiness (p=0.000), mothers' skills readiness (p=0.000) and family/husband/closest person support readiness (p=0.023) for mothers to realize EBF.
