Abstract

Career maturity is essential as it enables students to select appropriate career paths and prepare for further studies. This study aims to identify the role effect of career information services on career maturity through students' career interests. A quantitative approach with an ex post facto correlation design was employed, involving 329 students from public vocational schools in East Semarang District. This research was conducted by involving regression analysis. The results of the regression analysis indicate that career information services affect students' career interests in public vocational schools in East Semarang District. Additionally, career information services impact students' career maturity in these schools. There is also an influence of career interest on career maturity among students in East Semarang District public vocational schools. Furthermore, career information services impact career maturity through students' career interests. The further implications of this study are discussed in the analysis section.

Abstract

Masyarakat di Kabupaten Semarang menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam pengasuhan anak, termasuk rendahnya pemahaman terhadap pola asuh berbasis psikologi perkembangan dan lemahnya keterampilan komunikasi dalam keluarga. Menjawab permasalahan ini, dilaksanakan program pengabdian masyarakat bertajuk GEMBIRA (Gerakan Membangun Keluarga Bahagia dan Sejahtera) dengan pendekatan psikoedukatif. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan utama: (1) analisis kebutuhan menggunakan survei dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan utama dalam pengasuhan; (2) pelaksanaan seminar, pelatihan komunikasi keluarga, dan pendampingan; serta (3) evaluasi program melalui survei pre-post test untuk mengukur perubahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan orang tua dalam menerapkan pola asuh yang positif dan komunikasi yang efektif dalam keluarga. Program ini juga berhasil membentuk komunitas belajar parenting yang berperan sebagai wadah keberlanjutan edukasi bagi masyarakat setempat. Implikasi dari program ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan psikoedukatif dalam penguatan kapasitas keluarga. Rekomendasi diberikan agar model intervensi serupa dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain di Indonesia, sebagai strategi penguatan ketahanan keluarga dalam menghadapi tantangan pengasuhan di era modern.

Abstract

This community service partnership was carried out at PAUD Mutiara Kids, Temanggung. PAUD Mutiara Kids faces two problems in its educational activities, namely 1) aspects of knowledge about waste and separating types of waste; 2) aspects of skills in making educational toys by utilizing used goods into more useful items so as to reduce waste at school. Therefore, the service team aims to (1) introduce and socialize the “Eco-school” program as an alternative to realizing environmental literacy in schools; (2) learning activities together to recognize and separate the types of waste are continued; (3) making educational toys from used items. Community service activities are carried out in socialization and demonstration activities, practice and assistance in sorting waste, discussions. This activity was carried out on Saturday, June 29, 2024 with 35 participants from Kindergarten B PAUD Mutiara Kids Temanggung. The results of this activity are 1) students gain knowledge about waste and can separate the types of waste; 2) students have the skills to utilize used items around the school into educational toys that can reduce waste at school; 3) students also said that this activity was very helpful to instill love for the environment for students. The Eco-school activities carried out are not only on theoretical understanding but also on application. Furthermore, this activity can be sustainable not only for Eco-school activities, but also for other activities that help school activities to be better.

Abstract

Kesadaran diri merupakan kemampuan memahami apa yang dirasakan dan menggunakannya sebagai panduan dalam mengambil keputusan. Kesadaran diri menentukan kemampuan seseorang dalam mengembangkan keterampilan praktis. Selain kesadaran diri, motivasi belajar juga menjadi faktor penting dalam keberhasilan pendidikan siswa. Siswa yang memiliki motivasi tinggi menunjukkan kesungguhan dalam belajar. Melihat pentingnya kesadaran diri dan motivasi belajar bagi keberhasilan siswa, maka dibutuhkan suatu pendekatan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek kognitif semata, melainkan juga pada pengembangan aspek emosional dan sosial. Salah satu pendekatan tersebut adalah melalui bimbingan konseling kelompok. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran diri dan motivasi belajar siswa melalui layanan bimbingan konseling kelompok, yang dianalisis melalui metode systematic literature review. Pengumpulan literatur dilakukan dengan menggunakan mesin pencari Harzing untuk mendapatkan artikel yaitu dengan Scopus, Google Scholar, dan PubMed. Namun hanya diperoleh sebanyak 140 artikel dari Google Scholar. Setelah mendapat artikel, dilakukan analisis dengan website Covidence untuk mendapatkan filter artikel yang sistematik. Selanjutnya, dilakukan gambaran analisisnya melalui Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Artikel yang diperoleh untuk digunakan sebagai bahan diskusi yaitu 8 artikel. Berdasarkan hasil literatur yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa konseling kelompok memberi dampak positif pada peningkatan motivasi belajar dan kesadaran diri.

Abstract

Aging brings not only physical decline but also psychological and spiritual challenges, particularly among elderly individuals living in communal environments such as Islamic boarding houses (pesantren). While pesantren settings offer religious routines and social support, structured psychological interventions tailored to older people’s spiritual needs are limited. This study examines the effectiveness of nature-based, person-centred group counselling in improving the spiritual well-being of elderly residents at Pesantren Rhoodiyatam Mardhiyyah, Semarang. Using a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, the research involved a quantitative phase followed by qualitative exploration. The quantitative phase employed a one-factor pretest-multiple posttest control group design analysed using Mixed ANOVA, while the qualitative phase used thematic analysis based on in-depth interviews. A total of 14 participants aged 60 and above were purposively selected. Mixed ANOVA results revealed significant main effects of the intervention across time (p < .001) and between groups (p < .001), with strong interaction effects (ηp² = 0.855), indicating that the nature-based group counselling significantly enhanced spiritual well-being across personal, communal, environmental, and transcendental dimensions. The thematic analysis supported these findings, with participants reporting increased inner peace, emotional openness, social connectedness, and deeper spiritual reflection. Nature-based person-centred counselling provides a practical and culturally relevant intervention to enhance the spiritual well-being of elderly individuals in Islamic boarding schools. This approach integrates therapeutic engagement with nature, group support, and spiritual reflection, offering valuable implications for elderly care programs in religious settings.

Abstract

Environmental awareness, when nurtured from an early age, can develop into a positive habit that becomes embedded in one’s daily life. This community service partnership program was implemented at PAUD Mutiara Kids in Temanggung as a concrete step to build environmental awareness among young learners. Based on evaluations conducted by the community service team, 92% of the students were already able to distinguish between organic and non-organic waste. However, practical skills in waste utilization were still lacking, particularly in using recycled materials for educational purposes. In addition, environmental values had not yet been integrated into students’ daily routines. To address these issues, the “Zero-Waste Lifestyle” program was introduced as a strategic solution to empower teachers, students, and school staff. The program consisted of three key activities: (1) Introducing and promoting the “Zero-Waste Lifestyle” as a method for developing environmental literacy, (2) Facilitating collaborative workshops to create educational toys from recycled materials through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), and (3) Cultivating environmentally responsible behavior through consistent waste sorting habits. The program led to positive behavioral changes in students, particularly in waste management, and helped foster an environmental awareness aligned with the broader goals of sustainable development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy and family social support on career planning of class XI students of SMA Negeri 6 Cirebon. Career planning is one of the important aspects in the individual development stage during adolescence. Self-efficacy acts as an internal factor in the form of confidence in students' abilities, while family social support is a motivator for students from the closest social environment. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. The subjects of the study were 199 class XI students of a high school in Cirebon City who were selected through random sampling techniques. The instruments in the study used a scale of self-efficacy, family social support and career planning that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the analysis showed that self-efficacy and family social support had a simultaneous effect on students' career planning, with a calculated F value of 88.987 and a significance of <0.001. Partially, self-efficacy has a dominant influence with a t count of 10.591 (p <0.001), followed by family social support with a t count of 3.542 (p <0.001). The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.476 indicates that 47.6% of students' career planning can be influenced by the two independent variables. These results indicate the importance of strengthening students' self-efficacy and collaboration between schools and students' families in supporting the readiness of their future career planning.

Abstract

The challenges of globalization, rapid technological advancement, and dynamic job markets have increased the urgency of career planning among high school students. This study aims to systematically review the effectiveness, conceptual approaches, and procedural techniques of Life Design Career Counseling (LDCC) in addressing students' career dilemmas, particularly those related to post-secondary education choices. Using a systematic literature review method based on PRISMA-P standards, A total of 10 primary studies published within the last 10 years were selected based on specific inclusion criteria: relevance to high school students (or equivalent), focus on career development using the LDCC model, and publication within the 2015–2025 period. Studies unrelated to upper-secondary level populations or lacking primary data were excluded. Literature was gathered from Google Scholar, SINTA Ristekbrin, and Elsevier. The findings indicate that LDCC effectively enhances students' career adaptability, vocational certainty, self-efficacy, optimism, and reflective capacity. Grounded in Career Construction Theory (CCT), LDCC utilizes narrative-based approaches, such as the Career Construction Interview (CCI), to help students make sense of their life stories and align them with meaningful career goals. The implementation of LDCC varies across individual, group, and online settings, typically delivered over 3 to 8 sessions. Techniques like storytelling, visual-symbolic tools, and structured interviews were found to be adaptable for diverse student populations, including those with special needs and in resource-constrained contexts. This review concludes that LDCC offers a holistic and personalized intervention framework that supports students' self-exploration and future career planning. The study highlights the practical implications for school counselors to adopt LDCC as a proactive career intervention method tailored to students' developmental and contextual needs.

Abstract

Career Value has been studied in Indonesia in general in both psychology and career counseling for the past two years. However, none of these articles focus on the adaptation and validation of measurements carried out based on the guidelines for adapting measuring instruments, so that the measurements carried out are independent between one researcher and another. The use of instruments in different cultural backgrounds requires an adaptation process so that the measurement results are valid and reliable. The purpose of this study was to obtain a standardized Indonesian version of a career value measurement instrument. The adaptation process was carried out using an adaptation reference. Based on the results of the CFA analysis, it can be concluded that according to theory, the career value model consists of eight dimensions, namely social, management, specialization, mobility, independence, salary, team-work-balance, variety has a good fit model. This means that the null hypothesis stating that the career value goodness of fit model can be accepted. This explains that the resulting model can describe actual conditions.

Abstract

Ketapang Village is located in Susukan District, Semarang Regency, Central Java Province. Based on the results of a preliminary study, young people in Ketapang Village face challenges related to career resilience skills. This is indicated by the vulnerability to dropping out of school and the lack of motivation to pursue further education. In response to this condition, an effective intervention strategy is needed through the BERSINAR program, which stands for Continuous Career Resilience Psychoeducation Guidance. The purpose of this program is to train individuals to develop their career resilience skills. The method of implementing the activity consists of (1) preparation; (2) introduction; (3) training; (4) closing; and (5) reporting. The results of the Paired Samples T-Test analysis showed a significant difference between the Pre-Test and Post Test scores with a t value (39) = 11.1, p <0.001 and a Cohen's d effect size value of 1.76. This proves that this psychoeducational activity has succeeded in increasing participants' career resilience knowledge with a very large effect category. Similar programs can be recommended to be implemented widely to support the sustainability of youth career potential development in other areas. This service provides a significant contribution in supporting the implementation of education-based interventions to improve the career readiness of the young generation.
