Abstract

This article reports the result of semi-experimental study which aims to determine and assess the improvement of students’ mathematics learning outcomes after they are exposed to interactive multimedia-assisted problem-based learning model. The sample is 7th grade students at one of junior high school in Kendari. They were selected using cluster random sampling technique. Based on the result of data analysis using descriptive and inferential statistics, the interactive multimedia assisted-problem based learning can improve the students’ mathematics learning outcomes. The result of the study revealed the increase of the average after being taught with interactive multimedia assisted-problem based learning models with 21.2 units and the significance value of 0.00. Interactive multimedia-assisted-problem based learning can be an alternative for mathematical activeness and abilities, which have an impact on improving student mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara inferensia perbedaan rata-rata Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika (PDM) siswa di Kota Kendari berdasarkan level sekolah. Level sekolah ditentukan berdasarkan hasil Ujian Nasional. Pengambilan sampel dari populasi dilakukan dengan two stage random sampling. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya di analisis dengan menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis H dan uji beda lanjut Mann-Whitney U. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan (1) Terdapat perbedaan Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika (PDM) siswa pada sekolah antar level SMPN di Kendari secara simultan. (2) Terdapat perbedaan Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika (PDM) siswa yang signifikan antar level sekolah (tinggi, sedang dan rendah) yaitu rata-rata nilai Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika (PDM) siswa pada sekolah level tinggi lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata nilai Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika (PDM) siswa pada sekolah level sedang dan rendah, rata-rata nilai Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika (PDM) siswa pada sekolah level sedang lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata nilai Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika (PDM) pada sekolah level rendah.Kata Kunci: Level Sekolah; Pengetahuan Dasar Matematika.

Abstract

This research aims to generate integrated mathematics questions aligned with the Islamic values at al mawarits, enabling an examination of the correlation between fraction material in mathematics and the knowledge of mawarits. The research type employed is development utilizing the Teesmer model, consisting of four development stages: the preliminary stage (preparation), the self-evaluation stage (analysis and design), the prototyping stage (validation, revision, evaluation), and the field test stage. The research was conducted at a private junior high school. The results of this study indicate in terms of question difficulty (1 difficult, 6 moderate, and 3 easy questions). For item discrimination, 2 questions are very good, 6 questions are good, and 1 question is moderate. Moreover, regarding the validity level, the developed integrated mathematics questions with Islamic values of al mawarits obtained a validity score of 0.90 and a reliability score of 0.92, indicating that the developed questions are reliable.

Abstract

This quantitative research examines the influence of psychological factors such as interest, motivation, and learning independence on students' mathematics learning outcomes during online learning, using the causal research design. Data were analyzed using generalized linear models. The population consisted of all Grade VIII students at a public junior high school at Konawe Selatan, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, totaling 273 students. A sample of 73 students was selected using a cluster random sampling technique. The results showed that only the variable of interest in learning mathematics had a significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes at a significance level of 5%. The findings indicate that as students' interest in learning increases, their mathematics learning outcomes improve by 0.56 points. In contrast, learning motivation and learning independence did not significantly affect students’ mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi statistik ditinjau dari pengetahuan dasar matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas IX yang berjumlah 264 siswa dari 9 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin, diperoleh sampel 65 siswa dari 3 kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur pengetahun dasar matematika dan tes essay untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi statistik siswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah siswa dengan pengetahuan dasar matematika tinggi mampu mencapai indikator menyajikan data dan menginterpretasikan data, siswa dengan pengetahuan dasar matematika sedang  mampu mencapai indikator menginterpretasikan data, siswa dengan pengetahuan dasar matematika rendah belum mampu mencapai semua indikator kemampuan literasi statistik.
