Abstract

Traditional markets face significant threats from modern markets and e-commerce due to superior management and technology. The decline in the number of buyers has resulted in a decrease in the number of traditional markets in various regions. This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aimed to enhance the competitiveness of traders in Watutumou-2 Village, North Minahasa, through Sales Optimization and Financial Management Training. The program involved 29 participants and utilized a multi-stage method: lectures/counseling, hands-on training, and intensive mentoring. Results indicated a significant success rate, with 95% of the 29 participants (including 25 traders and 4 stall owners) being able to understand and apply the materials. Notably, the mentoring stage encouraged in mindset shift and practice. Traders began rearranging product layouts to attract buyers and adopting digital financial recording via smartphones. This program proves that integrated training and mentoring can effectively transform traditional trading patterns into professional business management

Abstract

This study examines the role of marketing strategies in developing frontier and outermost island tourism destinations, with a focus on the Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Despite their rich natural and cultural potential—ranging from pristine coastal landscapes and marine biodiversity to distinctive culinary and cultural heritage-the Talaud Islands remain underdeveloped due to weak promotion, limited accessibility, and infrastructural constraints. A qualitative descriptive method was applied, combining interviews with 35 domestic and international tourists and secondary data from official sources. Strategic analysis was conducted using SWOT, supported by the Internal Factor Analysis Summary and External Factor Analysis Summary. The IFAS results revealed strong natural assets but limited optimization, while EFAS highlighted opportunities in ecotourism demand and digital promotion, countered by competition from more accessible destinations and weak connectivity. The SWOT analysis generated four sets of strategies, focusing on digital branding, eco-cultural events, infrastructure development, and community engagement. The findings underscore the importance of adaptive, collaborative, and sustainable marketing approaches to enhance Talaud’s visibility and competitiveness. This study offers policy and managerial insights to strengthen the positioning of frontier islands as distinctive destinations in Indonesia’s national and global tourism landscape.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaturan perlindungan konsumen terhadap praktik penyalahgunaan posisi dominan di Indonesia dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penegakan hukum perlindungan konsumen terhadap praktik penyalahgunaan posisi dominan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif, dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu : 1. Melalui ketentuan dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 1999 tentang Larangan Praktik Monopoli dan Persaingan Usaha Tidak Sehat, negara berupaya mencegah pelaku usaha yang memiliki kekuatan pasar besar untuk menyalahgunakan posisinya dengan cara menetapkan harga tidak wajar, menyingkirkan pesaing, atau membatasi akses pasar. Namun demikian, efektivitas perlindungan konsumen masih memerlukan penguatan, baik dari sisi penegakan hukum, koordinasi antar lembaga, maupun peningkatan kesadaran pelaku usaha dan masyarakat mengenai pentingnya persaingan usaha yang sehat. 2. Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 1999 tentang Larangan Praktik Monopoli dan Persaingan Usaha Tidak Sehat, negara berupaya mencegah pelaku usaha yang memiliki kekuatan pasar besar untuk menyalahgunakan posisinya dengan cara menetapkan harga tidak wajar, menyingkirkan pesaing, atau membatasi akses pasar. Keberadaan Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU) memiliki peran strategis dalam mengawasi, menilai, serta menindak praktik penyalahgunaan posisi dominan agar tercipta persaingan usaha yang sehat.
