Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi pemberian pupuk organic (POC) cair bonggol pisang terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tunggulo, Kecamatan Limboto Barat, Kabupaten Gorontalo, dari bulan Februari sampai dengan Mei 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial. Faktor pertama komposisi media tanam yaitu S0 (kontrol), S1 (2 kg tanah : 1 kg arang sekam : 3 kg pupuk kandang ayam), S2 (1 kg tanah : 2 kg arang sekam : 3 kg pupuk kandang ayam), dan S3 (3 kg tanah : 2 kg arang sekam : 1 kg pupuk kandang ayam) dan faktor kedua konsentrasi pemberian (POC) bonggol pisang  yaitu J0 (Kontrol), J1 (300 ml/liter air), J2 (600 ml/liter air), dan J3 (900 ml/liter air) yang dianalisis menggunakan Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) dengan uji lanjut DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi media tanam S1 yang berpengaruh terhadap jumlah buah, panjang buah, dan berat buah. Konsentrasi pemberian POC bonggol pisang tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terong. Terdapat interaksi pada kombinasi perlakuan komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi pemberian POC bonggol pisang perlakuan S3 dan J0 (3 kg tanah : 2 kg arang sekam : 1 kg pupuk kandang ayam) dan (kontrol POC bonggol pisang) terhadap luas daun, dan laju pertumbuhan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penmggunaan media tanam dengan kombinasi tanah, arang sekam dan pupujk kandang dapat mempengaruhi hasil dari tanaman terong sedangkan penggunaan POC bongol pisang tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertuimbuhan dan hasil namun terdapat interaksi antara kombinasi media tanam yang diggunakan dengan perlakuan POC bonggol pisang.Kata Kunci: Media Tanam, Pupuk Organik Cair, Bonggol Pisang, Terong

Abstract

The cattle fattening business in Limboto District is predominantly managed by farmers through farmer groups. These fattening groups are spread across several villages, including Hutabohu Village, where the Ilohelumo group operates. Beef cattle fattening is a viable strategy to enhance community income, as it involves specific inputs and produces outputs in the form of revenue and business profits (Abidin, 2012). This study employed a case study method, with the research location selected through purposive sampling based on the presence of a successful cattle fattening group. The selected location was Hutabohu Village in Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency. The respondents were selected using total sampling from the Ilohelumo group, consisting of 20 members. The analytical methods used included descriptive analysis, income analysis, Return on Revenue (ROR), Break Even Point (BEP), Return Cost Ratio (R/C), and Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C). The Ilohelumo cattle fattening group managed 20 heads of cattle with a total production cost of IDR 215,300,000, comprising both fixed and variable costs. The group generated a profit of IDR 118,223,112 per fattening period, or approximately IDR 5,911,155 per head per month. The business achieved an R/C ratio of 2.864 and a B/C ratio of 1.482, indicating that the beef cattle fattening enterprise is profitable and financially feasible.

Abstract

The availability of high-quality mango seedlings is a major challenge in improving fruit yield and quality, which can be addressed through vegetative propagation techniques, such as grafting that combines rootstocks with strong root systems and scions from superior varieties. This study aimed to determine the effects of the interaction between cover type and rootstock height on mango grafting success. This study was conducted from July to September 2022. A split-plot design was employed, with the main factor being the cover type (single and mass cover) and the sub-factor being the rootstock height (50 cm and 30 cm). The measured parameters included the time for bud emergence, percentage of bud emergence, number of leaves, and grafting success, with data analyzed using ANOVA and LSD tests at a 5% significance level. The results showed that mass cover significantly influenced grafting success, with an average time of bud emergence of 12.40 days, percentage of bud emergence of 100%, average number of leaf average of 6.90, and grafting success rate of 100%. Conversely, the rootstock height did not significantly affect these parameters. Mass cover has been proven to create an optimal microenvironment for plant growth by maintaining humidity and temperature and protecting plants against extreme environmental conditions. In contrast, grafting incompatibility was detected in certain rootstock height treatments, potentially affecting the nutrient flow and graft quality. In conclusion, mass cover had a dominant effect on grafting success, whereas rootstock height had no significant impact. No interaction was found between cover type and rootstock height in mango grafting. Keywords: cover type, rootstock height, grafting

Abstract

The fertilizer availability as source of N, P, and K nutrient where plant responsif  was difficult found by farmer. Thefore, It was needed information about nutrient availability in soil properties to know nutrient deficiency of its by maize as plant indicator. The  objective of this research was to study the respons of  N, P, and K fertilizers and the best combination of it on the growth and yield of Maize. The research conducted at Udic Pellusterts in North Isimu Tibawa District of Gorontalo Regency. The experi- mental design was following random block design that consist of 5 treatments with 3 replications. The result of this research showing that minus N, P, and K fertilizers have a significantly effect on plant age polination, the percentage of height stem of  an ear of corn to plant height and dry straw weight but did not have significantly effect on plant height and the weigh of one hundred grain of Maize. To improve the growth and yield of Maize using fertilizing without P treatment were 250 kg Urea ha-1 and 75 kg KCl ha-1 or completely dosage were 250 kg Urea ha-1, 100 kg TSP ha-1 and 75 kg KCl ha-1 as the best fertilizers combination.

Abstract

The research aimed to study effect the application of river sand (RS), coconut coir (CC), and banana coir (BC) on growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.) in Ustic Endoaquert. The research was carried out in a green house using 3 × 3 × 3 factorial design. The RS factor consists of three treatment levels which were 0% RS, 25% RS, and 50% RS. Meanwhile, the CC and BC consist of three treatment levels, where each level were 0 Mg ha-1, 10 Mg ha-1 and 20 Mg ha-1. The results showed that RS, CC and BC applications did not have significant effect on plant height. On the other hand, all ameliorant applications had significantly increase leaf length and the highest percentage increasing was in BC (13.49%). The leaf numbers and tiller numbers had relatively similar pattern, except BC that had significantly increased leaf numbers by 77.69% and amount of tiller numbers by 49.45%. Furthermore, for yield components, RS, CC and BC applications had significant increased panicle numbers by 37.76%. It was only RS and BC that increased panicle lenght and the best increasing of 26.82% on RS. Meanwhile, the BC application only increased the rice grain numbers.[How to Cite: Nurdin and F Zakaria. 2013. Abstract

Tanaman Pakcoy yang dikonsumsi sebagai sayuran dapat ditingkatkan produksinya dengan pemupukan kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK akan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) serta untuk mengetahui perlakuan terbaik antara kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tunggulo, Kecamatan Tilongkabila, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Provinsi Gorontalo dan di Laboratorium Jurusan Agroteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai April 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 1 faktor yang terdiri dari 7 taraf yaitu, P0 = kontrol, P1 = 25 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam, P2 = 20 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 150 kg/ha, P3 = 15 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 300 kg/ha, P4 = 10 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 450 kg/ha, P5 = 5 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 600 kg/ha, P6 = NPK 750 kg/ha. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju asimilasi bersih, dan berat segar tanaman. Data hasil observasi dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis varian (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju asimilasi bersih, dan berat segar tanaman. Kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam 10 ton/ha + NPK 450 kg/ha memiliki pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy.Kata Kunci : Pakcoy, Pupuk Kandang Ayam , NPK , Kombinasi

Abstract

Mung bean plant is one of the most popular sources of plant-based protein as a daily food ingredient. In Indonesia, mung beans are one of the most important legume commodities after soybeans and peanuts. The objective of this research is to determine the effect of inorganic fertilizer dosage and weeding time, as well as the interaction between inorganic fertilizer and weeding time, on the growth and yield of mung bean plants. This research was conducted in Libungo Village, Suwawa Selatan Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency, and observations of destructive variables were carried out at the Agrotechnology Department Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The factorial RBD design was used, consisting of two factors. The first factor was the application of inorganic fertilizer, with two levels (150 kg/ha and 300 kg/ha), and the second factor was weeding time, with three levels (no weeding, weeding at 7 and 14 days after sowing, and weeding at 7, 14, and 21 days after sowing). The results showed that the application of inorganic fertilizer, weeding time, and the interaction between inorganic fertilizer and weeding time did not have a significant effect on all parameters, including leaf area, leaf area index, plant growth rate, flowering percentage, pod number, weight of 100 seeds, and yield per plot.  Keywords: Mung Bean, Inorganic NPK Fertilizer, Weeding Time

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik cair dari limbah dapur pada warga di Desa Patoameme Kecamatan Botumoito Kabupaten Boalemo. Kegiatan ini berupa penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2022. Kelompok sasaran pengabdian adalah warga desa seperti ibu-ibu atau bapak-bapak maupun remaja dari Desa Patoameme tersebut. Pupuk organik cair dari limbah dapur yang difermentasi dan dihasilkan dalam kurun waktu 15 hari dapat langsung dimanfaatkan atau diaplikasikan pada pertanaman sayur-sayuran atau pada tanaman hias yang ada di halaman rumah warga masing-masing.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian adalah terciptanya pertanian berkelanjutan melalui penurunan tingkat bahaya erosi dengan penerapan tindakan konservasi guludan.  Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini yakni dengan mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan bandul segitiga dan guludan pada warga masyarakat sasaran.. Hasil pengabdian berupa transfer teknologi konservasi, dalam hal ini adalah teknologi pembuatan bandul segitiga untuk penetapan garis kontur dalam pembuatan guludan, ditransfer dari dosen kepada petani sebagai mitra dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pembuatan guludan secara langsung di lahan milik petani.   Mitra ikut berperan aktif dalam pengabdian ini, khususnya dalam teknis pelaksanaan di lapangan.  Program pengabdian yang dilakukan diterima baik oleh petani.  Petani sangat optimis dapat menerapkan apa yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, karena teknologi ini sangat mudah diterapkan.  Bahan-bahan yang digunakan untuk pembuatan bandul segitiga sangat mudah diperoleh di lokasi pengabdian.  Setelah pembuatan bandul segitiga selesai, langsung digunakan di lapangan sebelum dilakukan pembuatan guludan pada pertanaman milik petani.  Pembuatan guludan dilakukan berdasarkan garis kontur yang sudah ditentukan sebelumnya menggunakan bandul segitigal.  Pembuatan guludan dilakukan oleh petani dan mahasiswa dengan bimbingan dosen pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian

Abstract

Dulupi is one of the districts in Boalemo Regency which is a center for maize production, but the high intensity of maize cultivation causes a decrease in the quality of the local land. This research aimed to determine the land suitability classes and limiting factor for maize (Zea mays L.). The research was carried out in Dulupi District of Boalemo Regency from September  to Desember 2022. It employed a data matching method, matching the data for each land unit with suitability criteria. The findings revealed that the level of the land suitability for maize in Dulupi  District, Boalemo Regency had theree classes of land suitability, namely moderately suitable (S2) of 88% (6314,54 Ha), marginally suitable (S3) of 10% (763,89 Ha), and not suitable (N) of 2% (41,15 Ha). In contrast, the yield-limiting factors were nutrient retention, avaible nutriens (N, P, K), erosion hazard, drainage, and effetive depth. With the improvment efforts, the yield limiting factors in the potential land and suitability increased to S2 and S3 classes.
