Abstract

Tello Islands is a small island located in South Nias Regency and separated from the mainland of Nias Island. Although included in the Nias tribe category, Tello Islands have a lot of diversity in terms of culture. it can be seen from the traditional wedding attire wears by the local community which is very unique and similar to traditional Minang clothing. In the traditional dress, the bridegroom wears keris, songket cloth wrapped around the waist of the groom, hat (takula), while traditional bridal clothes in other areas of the Nias Islands do not use it. To find out the origins of Tello Island Culture in terms of traditional clothing, researchers conducted research using qualitative research with descriptive approach methods. Researchers conducted interviews with the local community, especially in the case of traditional wedding clothes and documented parts of traditional clothing. From the observations, documentation and interviews found in the field, it turned out that the Tello Islands culture originated from the Nias Islands and is still maintained to this day, although there are certain parts of the traditional dress of male and female marriage that have changed and there are also clothing parts which is no longer used. This is because the production of parts of traditional clothing is no longer there and symbolic interaction, the bride is symbolized as queen and king a day

Abstract

This study aimed to express the role of the police in establishing the students and discovering the efforts made by police ​​to overcome the brawls among the students in Padang. This research was conducted using qualitative research method by following the steps that implemented by Miles & Huberman. Data collection method that was used in this study is the observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. To ensure the validity of data, it was required investigated techniques by emphasizing the credibility of the data research. The informants were selected by purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The results of the research revealed that the role of the Police in establishing students to reduce the brawls among the students was done by being a builder of ceremony in many schools, holding legal counseling such as seminar, and holding other beneficial activity such as Saka Bhayangkara, Randai, Taekwondo, Silat, and Karate. Besides, the efforts of the police in the brawls anticipate that by conducting cooperation with the Department of Education in the form of a MoU. It was done because there is no specific rules about the brawls in constitution. MoU describes that the offender of brawls will be expelled from school/ returned to the parent/ guardian concerned. Based on the research, these punishments were flexible. The offenders of brawls are not always to be expelled from school but they are established first. If there is no change in students’ personality, the next punishment will be done.

Abstract

Mastering English is the same as making life easier for opportunities to work and communicate with other people around the world. Mastering English is not an easy thing for beginners but with high motivation it can be achieved. English is needed anywhere, especially tourist destinations. South Nias is one of the areas known to have traditional houses, stone jumping, war dance, white sand, big waves, traditional souvenirs, and so on. This place is often visited by local tourists and even foreign tourists. Of course, the surrounding community is expected to be able to speak English well. The methodology in this study is a qualitative research method. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire. Data collection was carried out in September 2020. The research subjects were high school students in three villages, namely Bawomataluo Village, Lagundri Village and Sorake Village. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the motivation to speak English is caused by internal and external factors. Internal factors are appeared because of the individual's desire to have achievements and responsibilities in its life. Meanwhile, esternal factors are appeared because of external roles, which also determine a person's behavior in life. There are 3 (three) motivations that appear in tourist destinations, namely because of the need, hope and condition; English-speaking culture in tourist destination is based on the emergence of habits of interacting and communicating with each other so that it becomes a habit that requires mastering; Motivation and English speaking culture in tourist destination areas for language development of children at the senior high school level are very important to be able to interact and communicate with visitors, especially tourists who travel to tourist destinations. Suggestions, the public must be aware that one part of service to tourists is being able to communicate in their language or the language they know; The presence of English language institutions / communities / courses / training in tourist destinations are very beneficial for the community in general and children in particular.

Abstract

Perselisihan pemutusan hubungan kerja menurut Pasal 1 angka 4 Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2004 tentang Penyelesaian Hubungan Industrial, menentukan bahwa perselisihan yang timbul karena tidak adanya kesesuaian pendapat mengenai pengakhiran hubungan kerja yang dilakukan oleh salah satu pihak. Persoalan pemutusan hubungan kerja kadangkala dilakukan oleh pemberi kerja kepada pekerja yang disebabkan oleh pekerja atau pemberi kerja, dan/atau sebab yang lain.Satu satu persoalan mengenai pemutusan hubungan kerja yang telah diputus oleh Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat Nomor 385/Pdt.Sus-PHI.G/2020/PN-JKT.PST dan putusan Mahkamah Agung Nomor 765 K/Pdt.Sus-PHI/2022. Dimana dalam persoalan ini penggugat (Bayu Cahyadi) adalah suami dari almarhumah Dokter Puspa Roosniari Harahap, yang telah meninggal dunia pada hari Rabu tanggal, 13 Mei 2020. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis yaitu menggunakan jenis penelitian hukum normatif. Dalam penelitian hukum normatif ini, penulis menggunakan data sekunder berupa bahan huku primer, bahan hukum sekunder, dan bahan hukum tersier. Berdasarkan uraian pada pembahan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa putusan Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat Nomor 385/Pdt.Sus-PHI.G/2020/PN-JKT.PST mengenai perselisihan pemutusan hubungan kerja yang diajukan oleh ahli waris sudah tepat karena menolak provisi penggugat untuk seluruhnya. Selain itu, dalam pokok perkara menyatakan bahwa pemutusan hubungan kerja antara PT.Swasti Candika Prasama dengan pekerja (almarhumah Dokter Puspa Roosniari Harahap) karena meninggal dunia sejak 13 Mei 2020. Selain itu, putusan Mahkamah Agung Nomor 765 K/Pdt.Sus-PHI/2022 sudah sesuai karena telah menolak permohonan kasasi dari pemohon kasasi dalam hal ini PT.Swasti Candika Prasama. Oleh sebab itu, PT.Swasti Candika Prasama wajib membayar kompensasi PHK kepada ahli waris dari almarhumah Dokter Puspa Roosniari Harahap (istri penggugat) secara tunai dan sekaligus berupa uang pesangon, uang penghargaan masa kerja dan uang penggantian hak, yang seluruhnya berjumlah sebesar Rp194.093.061.
