Abstract

This study aims to explore Al-Ghazali's thoughts on spiritual education and its relevance in building the moral foundation of children in contemporary Islamic education. The background of this research focuses on the importance of education in shaping individuals with integrity and the ability to face the challenges of globalization. The method used is a literature study, involving the collection and analysis of literature related to Al-Ghazali's concept of spiritual education. This research examines how Al-Ghazali integrates Sufism and Sharia in the educational system, emphasising the importance of teaching Islamic values, ethics, and manners in daily life. A neurospiritual approach is also used to understand the neurological implications of Al-Ghazali's spiritual education. The results show that Al-Ghazali's thoughts have strong relevance in today's Islamic education, offering deep insights for the development of individual character and morals through spiritual education. These findings are expected to enrich the understanding and practice of a more holistic and scientific Islamic education. In conclusion, Al-Ghazali emphasizes spiritual education as an essential foundation for shaping complete people with noble morals, with a balanced curriculum between religious and worldly knowledge to produce intellectually intelligent and spiritually robust individuals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran Thomas Kuhn tentang paradigma dan revolusi ilmiah serta implikasi epistemologisnya dalam keilmuan Islam. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini menelaah bagaimana konsep pergeseran paradigma Kuhn dapat digunakan untuk memahami dinamika perubahan dalam studi Islam. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa keilmuan Islam telah mengalami berbagai perubahan paradigma, terutama dalam aspek metodologi, epistemologi, dan praktik keberagamaan. Hal ini terlihat dari transisi keilmuan Islam, mulai dari filsafat Islam klasik, ilmu kalam, hingga tafsir kontemporer yang semakin mengakomodasi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan modern. Konsep anomali dan krisis ilmiah dalam teori Kuhn juga dapat ditemukan dalam sejarah Islam, khususnya dalam proses ijtihad yang merespons tantangan zaman. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa paradigma Kuhn dapat digunakan sebagai alat analisis untuk memahami evolusi ilmu keislaman, termasuk pergeseran pemikiran dalam hukum Islam dan tafsir Al-Qur'an. Namun, penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan karena hanya berfokus pada analisis konseptual tanpa eksplorasi empiris yang lebih luas mengenai penerapan teori Kuhn dalam konteks akademik Islam. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lanjutan dengan pendekatan empiris direkomendasikan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana komunitas akademik Muslim mengadaptasi perubahan paradigma dalam era modern.This study aims to analyze Thomas Kuhn’s thought on paradigm and scientific revolution and its epistemological implications in Islamic scholarship. Using a qualitative approach through a literature study, this research examines how Kuhn’s paradigm shift concept can be applied to understand the dynamics of change in Islamic studies. The main findings indicate that Islamic scholarship has undergone various paradigm shifts, particularly in methodology, epistemology, and religious practices. This is evident in the transition from classical Islamic philosophy and kalam to contemporary interpretations that integrate modern scientific advancements. Kuhn’s concepts of anomalies and scientific crises can also be observed in the history of Islam, particularly in the process of ijtihad, which responds to evolving societal challenges. The implications of this research suggest that Kuhn’s paradigm theory can serve as an analytical tool to understand the evolution of Islamic sciences, including shifts in Islamic jurisprudence and Qur'anic interpretation. However, this study has limitations as it primarily focuses on conceptual analysis without empirical exploration of Kuhn’s theory in academic Islamic contexts. Therefore, further empirical research is recommended to investigate how Muslim academic communities adapt to paradigm shifts in the modern era.

Abstract

Pencarian artikel ilmiah merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang sering dilakukan oleh para peneliti dan ilmuwan untuk menemukan dan mengakses hasil penelitian terbaru dalam bidang yang mereka minati. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari artikel ilmiah adalah dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak bibliometrik seperti Publish or Perish. Publish or Perish adalah perangkat lunak yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data bibliometrik dengan fokus pada mengevaluasi dampak dan pengaruh penelitian individu. VOS Viewer adalah perangkat lunak yang banyak digunakan untuk menganalisis dan menvisualisasikan data bibliometrik, seperti pola citasi artikel ilmiah. Dengan menggunakan VOS Viewer, para peneliti dan ilmuwan dapat memetakan tren penelitian, mengidentifikasi hubungan antar publikasi, dan mengevaluasi dampak penelitian mereka. Dengan menggunakan diagram jaringan citasi atau peta konsep, pengguna dapat dengan mudah melihat hubungan antara publikasi dan tema-tema penelitian yang terkait. Harapannya, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Publish or Perish dan VOS Viewer untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Penelitian di Kelompok Mahasiswa Pemerhati Publikasi Ilmiah ‘Karyaku” Kelurahan Bulusan Kecamatan Tembalang dapat meningkatkan kualitas penelitian dari tugas akhir dan/atau publikasi ilmiah mereka.

Abstract

This study discusses the congregation's reception of the Tafsir Al-Ibriz in religious studies at LPPQ Al-Karim as a form of implementation of the Living Qur'an study. The focus of the study is how the congregation accepts and internalizes the teachings of the interpretation in the context of their social life. A qualitative approach with a case study method is used to explore the interaction between religious texts and the social context of the congregation. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observations, while secondary data were obtained from related literature. The results of the study indicate that the Al-Ibriz interpretation, which uses Javanese, plays a significant role in bridging the understanding of the text of the Qur'an with the reality of local community life. The congregation feels spiritual transformation, increased religious insight, and changes in more positive social behavior. This study highlights the importance of a local approach in religious studies to strengthen relevant and applicable religious understanding. This study provides theoretical contributions to the study of the Living Qur'an, as well as practical contributions for managers of religious study institutions in designing programs based on the needs of the congregation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the forms of expressive Arabic language competency tests in the Lembaga Pengembangan Pesantren Muhammadiyah (LP2PPM) MTs Arabic language textbook for grade VII. The results of the study show that there are two types of tests, namely (1) subjective speaking skills tests (dialogue pronunciation, picture description, sentence structure changes), and (2) objective writing skills tests (sentence modification, improvement, and creation). The author offers alternative test forms, including audio conversation barcodes, stimulus picture descriptions, interviews, and serial picture comments for speaking skills; as well as variations in spelling and writing picture comments for writing skills. This study is expected to produce a more effective, relevant, and applicable assessment model for students and teachers, while contributing to the development of Arabic language learning at the MTs level in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how religious moderation is implemented in the teaching materials and learning methods of the "Professionalism and Leadership" course of the PIAUD UIN Sunan Kalijaga study program. This study is classified as a field study with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of PIAUD lecturers and students. Analysis was carried out by reducing data and drawing conclusions, while the validity of the data was tested through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmation. The results showed that the value of religious moderation is reflected in the teaching materials and learning methods of the Professionalism and Leadership course. The RPS contains themes such as ethics, professionalism, and character development that are in line with the values of justice, tolerance, and balance. Discussion methods, questions and answers, and group assignments encourage an open, critical, and respectful attitude. All of this equips students as prospective moderate and inclusive educators.

Abstract

The development of Islamic Religious Education curriculum in Indonesia increasingly emphasizes the integration of psychological principles to address the mental, emotional, and social needs of students. This approach aims to create a balanced learning experience that not only imparts knowledge but also fosters holistic character development. Research reveals that an academically focused curriculum often neglects students' psychological well-being, leading to decreased motivation and limited character formation. This research uses the literature study method by analysing various literatures related to developmental psychology, learning psychology, and the humanistic approach in education. Findings from this study highlight three key results: first, the relevance of psychological principles in bridging cognitive and emotional aspects of education; second, the practical strategies for embedding psychological frameworks into curriculum design to encourage student engagement and empathy; and third, the measurable impact on students’ moral development and interpersonal skills. Through a responsive curriculum aligned with Indonesia's educational goals, educators can foster an environment conducive to the intellectual, moral, and emotional growth of students. Therefore, through a qualitative literature study, this article provides conceptual insights and recommendations for the implementation of a psychologically enriched curriculum framework in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Stunting is a critical problem that deserves attention and has become a global problem. The approach to reducing stunting is to provide nutritious supplementary food in the form of biscuits for children, especially those who are malnourished. The purpose of this study is to formulate nutritious biscuits enriched with minced catfish as a source of amino acids and Ulva sp as a source of dietary fiber. Design expert software (DX13) ® was used to analyze sensory data gathered from a hedonic scale assessment with 25 trained panelists to determine the best formulation for the fortified biscuit product. Taste and texture were among the sensory qualities that were assessed. In addition, physical aspects such as hardness and color (L, a, and b) are analyzed to determine the quality of the biscuit formula. The best formulas based on sensory evaluation and physical analysis undergo further analysis of their nutritional composition, including proximate analysis and amino acid profile.The best quality products found are biscuits fortified with a formula consisting of 33% wheat flour, 14% chopped catfish, and 1% Ulva flour.The state of the art of this research is the development of functional biscuits fortified with a combination of animal protein (catfish) and dietary fiber as well as antioxidants form Ulva sp., using an RSM-based formulation optimization approach to produce a highly nutritious product that isacceptable to children.

Abstract

As one of the roles of universities in realizing Tridharma Higher Education, especially in the field of Aviation, The Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic is considered necessary to conduct socialization related to the Deepening of The Teaching Book of Electrical &Electronic Aircraft for Vocational Teachers of Aviation. This community service aims to provide knowledge, especially teachers in vocational schools related to the Book of Electrical Teaching &Amp; Electronics Aircraft it is because the readiness of teachers and teaching materials become the initial benchmark of the success of the student learning process and teaching. The current condition of many vocational school teachers is not a graduate of aviation vocational school, not a graduate of a campus that organizes education in the field of aviation, inexperienced in aircraft maintenance or even unlicensed aviation technicians. The results of this community service show that the knowledge in the field of aviation, mostly vocational school teachers in Semarang, Solo and Surakarta is still weak. Many still deliver teaching materials to students based on the search process on the internet page without understanding the basic philosifi of its functions and work. Especially for electrical materials and aircraft electronics, there is still a condition of teachers conveying the concept of electrical components and general electronics but have not been able to connect how the components function and work in the aircraft. PKM activities deepening the teaching book of Electrical &Electronic Systems aircraft in smk reopen the role of related parties in order to improve the quality of vocational school teachers in general in the field of aviation. Pkm activities are expected to be continued in a more structured form can be in the form of cooperation partners between vocational higher education institutions in the field of aviation and vocational education (vocational education at the intermediate level).
