Abstract

Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu kompenen penting dalam pembelajaran. Namun, dalam pengembangan bahan ajar yang tepat dalam membantu peserta didik untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran menjadi salah satu masalah penting pada saat ini. Apalagi pengembangan bahan ajar yang harus sesuai dengan karakteristik kurikulum 2013 berbasis pendekatan  saintifik. Namun, pada hasil penulusuran penulis menemukan bahwasanya masih banyak kendala dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar yang terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik diantaranya pemilihan dan penentuan bahan ajar yang tepat sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, mendesain bahan ajar, tidak semua sekolah yang memiliki distribusi  prasarana dari pemerintah ke lembaga pendidikan, dan kurangnya antusiasme tenaga pendidik dalam mengupayakan solusi untuk permasalahan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penulis mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis  artikel yang memuat bahan ajar yang layak dan relevan terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik agar lebih mudah untuk diketahui oleh guru ataupun pembaca untuk dijadikan referensi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar yang terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik. Artikel ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode literatur review dengan menganalisis beberapa artikel yang relevan dengan judul. Dari hasil studi literatur dan analisis penulis diketahui bahwasanya sudah ada beberapa bahan ajar yang terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik telah dikembangkan baik dalam bentuk cetak seperti LKPD, Modul, dan buku ataupun dalam bentuk elektronik seperti E-Modul. Dari hasil studi literatur ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar yang terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik diantaranya buku ajar, modul, E-modul, dan LKPD yang telah dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Education is an effort made by the government to create an atmosphere in the learning process for students to be active in building their potential. In the educational process, students are expected to have religious values, be able to control themselves, personality, intelligent, intellectual, moral, and skilled. Students in schools are asked to have 21st-century skills, namely the appearance known as "4C", one of which is creative thinking skills. To realize this, the role of teachers in schools is needed as educators. In the learning process, the learning model needs to be considered by a teacher for the learning objectives to be achieved. The learning model is (Project Based Learning) which reveals whether the learning model influences the creative thinking of high school biology students, researchers conduct literature reviews related to this. The method in this study is a literature review method, namely analyzing relevant articles with a descriptive type qualitative approach by including the keywords "Project Based Learning" and "creative thinking ability". The result of this literature review is that the PJBL (Project Based Learning) learning model has a significant effect on the ability to think in high school biology class students. In addition to the syntax of the PJBL (Project Based Learning) model which can require students to solve problems in the form of projects so that students can think creatively, other things also support the use of the PJBL (Project Based Learning) learning model such as the use of interesting media-assisted or the use of supporting student worksheets.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are an assessment of the abilities possessed by students after participating in the learning process. Low learning outcomes caused by low scientific argumentation. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning outcomes and the ability of scientific argumentation of students of SMAN 1 Payakumbuh on the immune system material. This research is a descriptive study with the correlation method. The research sample consisted of 34 students of class XII MIPA 8 SMAN 1 Payakumbuh. . The research instrument is in the form of valid student learning outcomes tests and scientific argumentation ability tests. The results showed that students' learning outcomes were in the moderate category with an average of 63% and students' scientific argumentation abilities were included in the weak category with an average of 39.02%. There is a positive and significant correlation between learning outcomes and the scientific argumentation abilities of class XII MIPA 8 students in the immune system material with a value of r = 0,658 which is in the very strong category. The value coefficient = 6,562 is greater than the coefficient =2,0369. So it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning outcomes and scientific argumentation abilities of SMAN 1 Payakumbuh students on the immune system material.

Abstract

The development of teaching materials such as digital-based supplementary books really needs to be done considering that COVID-19 has not yet been integrated with biology subjects. Students need to dig up information about COVID-19 through scientific literacy and solve problems through critical thinking. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of digital-based supplement books through quasi-experiments by looking at the comparison of pre-test and post-test results. The data were analyzed quantitatively to determine the category of effectiveness and deepened by a qualitative analysis of the influencing factors. Sig. The value of (2-tailed) Paired T-test is 0.000. which shows that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes before and after using the supplement book. This means that the COVID-19 prevention supplement books greatly affect students' scientific literacy skills and critical thinking skills. Scientific literacy is enhanced because the content in the book explores COVID-19 information and is integrated into the material. Meanwhile, critical thinking is empowered with direction analysis and decision making in books. The book developed is predicted to be very useful and supportive in learning biology, especially relevant material such as material about viruses, the respiratory system, and the immune system

Abstract

Pendidikan pada era global harus berorientasi pada pengembangan kompetensi abad ke-21. Keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah salah satu keterampilan penting saat ini karena itu harus diajarkan secara eksplisit. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan literature review dari artikel terkait dalam rentang waktu enam tahun (2017-2022). Dari penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model Project Based Learning dapat digunakan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran biologi materi evolusi. Dua puluh hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Project Based Learning dalam pembelajaran biologi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Case-based learning is a recommendation for the achievement of 21st-century skills. Empirical facts show any limitations of science teaching materials that model the integration of cases into science learning topics in secondary schools. Socioscientifc issues are potential cases for Biology learning. Unfortunately, learning tools for this such issues are relatively rare. This study aims to develop a case-based student worksheet with socioscientific issues. We conducted development research applying the 4D model, which is limited to 3 stages: define, design, and develop. The research instrument consisted of validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and observation sheets for measuring communication and collaboration performance. The research population students who learn science in junior high school. The sample is determined purposively. We choose 52 science students from one of the junior high schools in Padang City and 17 prospective science teacher students who registered as participant of Learning Material Development Course. Data processing used descriptive statistics (percentage) to inform validity criteria gained, while inferential statistics (Mann-Whitney test) were applied to compare the differences of communication and collaboration scores among science students and science teacher candidates during the practicality stage. The results showed that the socioscientific case-based worksheets reached the criteria of 1) being very valid, 2) practical and very practical for users (teachers, students, and prospective science teacher students), and 3) having a significant effect on the collaboration-communication performance of science students and science teacher candidate. Otherwise, communication collaboration performance indicators that need to be considered for improving 21st-century skills are responding to large group audiences, presenting ideas, conducting inter-group discussions, and drawing conclusions

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan E dan U pada peserta didik pengguna Scola pembelajaran biologi di SMA DEK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2022 - Mei 2023 di SMA DEK. Sampel berjumlah 48 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas X, XI MIPA, XII MIPA. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Total Sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket penelitian. Data pada penelitian ini menggunakan rumus korelasi Person Product Momen, kemudian dilakukan uji t untuk mengetahui signifikan atau tidaknya hubungan tersebut.Hasil penelitian didapatkan E bernilai 73, 895% dengan kriteria tinggi. U bernilai 71,13% dengan kriteria tinggi, dan hubungan E dan U pada peserta didik pengguna Scola pembelajaran biologi di SMA DEK memiliki r = 0,7511445 ( korelasi kuat dan positif), thitung = 7,717343 dengan ttabel = 1,679 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara E dan U pada peserta didik pengguna Scola pembelajaran biologi di SMA DEK.

Abstract

Visual literacy is the skill to interpret and give meaning to information in the form of images or visuals. Visual literacy is included in the list of 21st-century skills. The observation results indicate that most of the students have not mastered visual literacy well. One of the efforts that can be made to improve visual literacy is the provision of appropriate and right teaching materials. The research is an R&D (Research and Development) using a 4-D model, which is modified to 3-D (define, design, develop). The instruments used were content analysis sheets and validation questionnaires. The results of the research imply that there are three characteristics of the validity of the developed module. First, visual literacy produces students’ critical thinking and communication skills by building their own meaning or conclusions regarding the given image object. Second, visual literacy produces students' creative thinking by recreating it in the form of images or other visual objects from the provided visual information. Third, visual literacy produces students' critical thinking skills by connecting visual objects or images that are distributed to them. The module is considered to be very valid (feasible) to use with a percentage of 94.23%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah peserta didik di SMA negeri 1 Tanjung Mutiara. Adapun desain penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan design posttest only dengan membandingkan dua kelompok yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan melakukan tes tertulis berupa soal essai berjumlah 5 butir soal. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t. hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Mutiara.

Abstract

The typical geological structure of West Sumatra causes a high risk of earthquakes. Therefore, the ability of disaster context science literacy (LSKB) needs to be developed in order to students can apply science to solve problems related earthquakes. The research aims to describe the characteristics of the early science literacy abilities of science education students about earthquake markers. The knowledge aspect of scientific literacy is focused on the procedural and epistemic domains. Determination of research subjects by purposive sampling involving 70 students. Data collection was carried out with thorough tests and surveys using the LSKB Test and the Disaster Preparedness Questionnaire. Data were analyzed quantitatively-descriptive. The results showed that: 1) The level of mastery in the domain of procedural and epistemic knowledge was 38.18 and 19.12, included in the very low category, 2) In procedural knowledge, students already had sufficient knowledge in determining variables but had problems making graphs and graphical interpretations, 3) In epistemic knowledge, analysis and inference most mastered by students, 4) the characteristics of procedural and epistemic knowledge are content novelty, contextuality, dimensions of inquiry, scientific exploration and data visualization. It can be concluded that the level of mastery of procedural and epistemic domain knowledge in science students is still moderate, and it requires training in the three domains of scientific literacy
